SOS Driving School

Embark on your journey to responsible driving with SOS Driving School, your premier learning destination located in Twin Falls, Idaho. Designed for students aged 14.5 and older, our comprehensive program caters to both novice drivers and experienced motorists looking to refresh their skills. We combine rigorous academic study with practical, hands-on behind-the-wheel training to ensure you are fully prepared for the road.

Our curriculum is structured to meet all Idaho state requirements, offering a total of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 12 hours of behind-the-wheel training. The classroom portion consists of live-streamed sessions held Monday through Thursday, lasting two and a half hours each evening. Utilizing Google Classroom, students engage with the digital Idaho Driver's Manual, complete quizzes, and prepare for final examinations that require an 80% pass rate. This flexible online format allows you to learn at your own pace while maintaining the accountability of instructor supervision.

For the practical component, students are paired up and assigned a group number to facilitate cooperative learning. The behind-the-wheel training includes six two-hour driving sessions and six hours of instructional observation, totaling 12 hours. All on-road training begins and concludes at the Twin Falls High School parking lot, providing a safe and controlled environment to master essential driving techniques under the guidance of our professional instructors.

Enrollment is straightforward and designed to get you started quickly. The course fee is $425, and upcoming sessions are scheduled monthly, with classes typically running for three weeks. To enroll, you must register for a specific class date, print the required authorization forms, and visit your local county DMV to obtain your Learner's Permit before the first day of class. Keep your DMV receipt as it serves as your temporary permit until official documentation arrives at our school.
