Christo Driving School: Reviews
Positive experience: ⭐️ Instructor (Andreas): 5/5 I would like to give a big thanks to my instructor Andreas for his excellent teaching skills and support throughout my driving lessons. I had always heard that the driving exam was very tough, but Andreas made the whole process much easier and less stressful. His patience, knowledge, and clear way of explaining things—both in English and German—were extremely helpful. Instead of directly pointing out mistakes, he encouraged me to reflect on what I did wrong and correct myself, which made me a more confident and independent driver. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to pass my driving test on the first attempt. I’m truly grateful for all his help. ⭐ Driving School: 3.5/5 While I am satisfied overall, I did face some challenges with the school’s communication. Despite sending multiple emails, I did not always receive prompt replies, and due to some miscommunication, the process was delayed. That said, the school offered a fair price and provided me with an excellent instructor, which made up for these issues.
Fantastic experience: Matt was a great instructor and helped me to fix my parallel parking.
Fantastic experience: I had Matt LeBlanc and he was a great teacher. Not only is he a very nice person, he was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I hope to have him for more lessons!
Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with christos. The driving instructors all have the same 3 point turn routine except for the instructor James. He shows the students a completely different approach to the 3 point turn and confuses them. James needs to go, he has no patience whatsoever. Does not deserve to be an instructor.
Negative experience: The worst place to take the exam. I paid almost $400 to take a class and borrow their car. On the day of the exam, I was sure I'd pass. But I got a very angry instructor. Just as they're good at charging, they should be good with people. Another thing they should do is hire younger instructors. The older ones get too angry and yell. I also felt like I did everything right and still failed. Let me give you some advice: don't pay, it's a complete scam. You won't pass the exam. The only ones who can are the young adults who take the courses with them. Otherwise, you won't pass.
Negative experience: I was feeling pretty positive that I was going to pass the exam, and I was matched with a bitter old man who was so abusive and yelling. Put young people to work, not 70-year-olds, they are very bitter.
Negative experience: Terrible.
Negative experience: Very disappointed, sent my granddaughter, all I got was excuses afer excuses, just want you money,
Fantastic experience: Jim very cool
Negative experience: Is zero stars possible? Absolutely worst place to go to. They cancelled all your lessons the very last minute and take up to 3 weeks to book one and they’re always 1-2 months away. Would never recommend going through here unless your willing to wait over 1+ years to obtain a driving license.
Negative experience: One of worst driving school with arrogant drivers here. Never go for driving class or test here. Drivers themselves create negative environment during test so that you fail exam
Negative experience: This has been by far one of the most difficult processes I’ve had to deal with. Christos is a company that is selfish and doesn’t care about others times. I would HIGHLY NOT recommend Christos to anyone wanting to complete there hours, the company does not care for its customers and it’s shown in various ways. My son has had his on roads canceled 6 times within the last month and a half due to drivers being sick with vary late notice. I find it outrageous and absolutely disrespectful to cancel a class with 1 hour-30 minutes notice. My son has lost work hours and I myself have lost work hours having to drive him to the pick up points just for them to text me or email me saying there going to cancel the class.
Negative experience: It was my first time learning how to drive . I paid for 1 lesson to learn how to drive but i didn't even to learn to parallel park because the instructor had to used the bathroom . I took 2 road test . First road test , i felt very uncomfortable and the instructor insulted me with “if i never driven before “. Instead of offering me the help to learn . The second road test , the instructor from the rmv said that i looked at screen on the car . When i wasn't i was looking at rear view mirror . Overall they failed me both times ! nobody tried to even suggest for me to take a lesson and book a road test for amount of money i have spend in this place . This place is out of order. im taking my business somewhere else!
Positive experience: Prepare to tell the examiner that it’s not your first time taking the test. Otherwise he will just fail you for some arbitrary reasons so that you can spend $$$ to take the test again.
Positive experience: For the most part, Christo's was perfectly fine as a driving school. The lessons were easy to schedule, and the instructors were all fine. My child took the driving test at the school, and got his license on the first try. So, mission accomplished. However, after already having paid in full for the school, they informed me suddenly just before the classroom portion started that I now had to pay more because they were raising their prices. This is completely unethical and illegal. You can't raise the price on something that has already been paid for! But they refused to budge and I felt like I had little recourse because I didn't want to lose the spot and have to wait months for a class with another school. During the two hour parent class, Mr. Christo made a point of telling us that the one thing he couldn't stand was dishonesty. Too bad, I thought, because you're the only one here who I know has acted dishonestly.
Fantastic experience: I had to call the main office multiple times concerning questions. Krista was AMAZING every single time. It was my first time dealing with my son's licensing; course, driving lessons, and exam. They couldn't have been better. Excellent staff. Highly recommended.
Negative experience: Apparently the instructors teach their students that it's OK to go 25mph in 50mph speed zones. Learn to drive somewhere else with competent instructors that actually understand traffic laws and the comfort level of their students.
Negative experience: I have used Christo for 3 of my children spanning last 10 years. The experience with the first two was great, however the recent one leaves a lot to be desired. In short, it is a montage of mismanagement and rude behavior. To top it off the receptionists and specially the manager should get an award for being totally inept at handling customers and their concerns. Luckily, this is my last kid and won’t have to deal with this anymore. Not recommended.
Negative experience: The only thing I would recommend here is drivers ed however I would suggest taking your business elsewhere for on road lessons and on road tests. They were extremely unprofessional and rude to me and they are just the run of the mill jerks from the RMV
Fantastic experience: We've had a great experience with Christo Driving School
Negative experience: No point is wasting extra money trying to get your license here if their instructors are sent by the DMV anyway.
Fantastic experience: Very professional service and are flexible with their class schedules. Mike is a great instructor and helped me to pass my road test with just one driving lesson.
Fantastic experience: I passed the road test today. It was my first attempt. Thank you Mike for being such a wonderful instructor. I recommend this school to anyone who is trying to get a driver's license. It's worth every penny you spend on driving lessons. Thank you Christo!!
Positive experience: Good people got my license from here .. Only qualm I have is about there cancellation policy
Negative experience: Racist instructor. I sat in the room for one hour and they let people who arrived after me to test before me. I waited 1hour and 30 minutes to take my road test. I got here at 8 and left at 9:30. The instructor was rude and short with me too.
Fantastic experience: Mike is a very pleasant and great instructor.
Fantastic experience: The Best Driving School!!!! It has the best instructors!!! Thank you so much Mike!!!
