Middletown Driving School has been family-owned and operated since its inception in 1990. Our driving school is fully licensed by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, and we proudly serve all of Monmouth County with comprehensive and patient driving instruction. Our dedicated instructors work around your schedule to ensure a convenient learning experience.

We provide modern, air-conditioned vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions and the latest safety features, making your learning process as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Our services cater to a variety of needs, including a special package for 16-year-olds that covers student permit acquisition, vision tests, and six hours of driving instruction focusing on everything from proper seat adjustment to defensive driving techniques.

For those 17 and older, we offer individual lessons and refresher courses to enhance driving skills. Additionally, we assist with road test services, allowing students to use our car and receive an overview of necessary maneuvers before the exam.

Negative experience: Johnny is such a poor role model on young drivers. Smoking in front of children and directing aggressive language toward other drivers on the road promote unsafe driving. Do not waste your money at Middletown Driving School unless the owner George takes responsibility for his egregious employee.

“We set a high standard for ourselves here at the driving school". We're so sorry to hear this was not met in your interaction with our instructor. Johnny is no longer (as of mid November 2023) and works elsewhere now. Make no mistake we do not expect anything less that 100% and appreciate your feedback and have made necessary adjustments.

Fantastic experience: Love Johnny OH, he was great. My daughter felt comfortable driving with him and having him teach her. The price was right!

Fantastic experience: I used Middletown Driving School for my son and daughter. They were fantastic. They actually taught them how to drive and not just how to pass the test. Would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a driving school.

Fantastic experience: Sent both my daughters to Johnny at Middletown… they were well prepared and confident for their road tests and Johnny was professional, kind and caring.
