Fantastic experience: Just passed my own driving test, and he was extremely kind and straightforward through all my lessons. I still got nervous and all, but he never once let it escalate or severely impact my driving. Definitely would recommend this guy for anyone who's a more anxious driver (or person in general). He makes conversation throughout your drives, explains the history or happenings in areas driven through if he knows them, and ensures you can pay attention while having conversation and not overthink too much on the dangers of the road. He won't trash on you for mistakes, but he also won't let them slide without notice. Everything he points out is constructive which is essential, and sticks with you even once the lesson is done. Overall, I don't think I would've benefited from any other driving school. Sincerely worth it.

He was extremely helpful! He not only worked to fit us in at the last minute, he even stayed late to help my daughter take her drivers test! Rick truly went above and beyond. Fantastic experience: My 21 year old daughter completed adult behind the wheel lessons with Rick and today she thanked me and said the lessons were much needed and she learned a lot. She said he is very personable, professional and knowledgeable. She said he's also patient and uses the time very effectively. I like the updates he gave me after each lesson and was impressed that he even showed her how to pump gas. He thought of so many things that I missed when letting her drive the few times that I had. I really am pleased with the service he provided and I feel that it was money well spent. I also love that he picks up and drops off and the students time starts when he pulls up and they get behind the wheel! I'd also like to mention that he's always on time. I give Imperial Driving School a A+! I'm so happy I found them.

Fantastic experience: I can’t begin to tell everyone what an incredible instructor Rick is. I was looking for some extra instruction for my 16 year old daughter who just got her permit. I initially found this school on line and loved the reviews. I reached out for more information and Rick responded within hours. We set up time to go to his office so we could meet him in person. Rick was very nice, professional and explained everything needed for next steps. My daughter was very comfortable which was important and so were we. We started the following week with the lessons. My daughter is so confident driving now! I am completely comfortable with her driving which is a huge change from how I felt before. Fantastic experience: Before I learned from Rick, I was petrified of driving, not only because I was doubtful of my own driving skills but also of other people on the road. But with Rick's attentiveness and patience, my anxiety eased amazingly quick. I passed my driving test thanks to him, and am now about to get my license. Fantastic experience: An absolutely stellar experience, and definitely worth your money. I purchased the 7-hour course, and over the span of 3 weeks and 6 lessons, I improved my driving skills with Rick Escamilla, an instructor and the owner of the Imperial Driving School. The course is structured in a way where you can practice various important driving skills in different environments to prepare you for the real roads. He covered driving in neighborhood streets, turning, parallel parking, basic traffic laws, lane merging, blind spots, city driving, and other important fundamentals for any aspiring young driver. By lesson #3, I was already comfortable enough to drive on the highway. And by lesson #5, only having a few hours of driving experience, I was even on the freeway going 70 miles per hour. Instructor Rick was very attentive, informative, and repetitive on key driving concepts, helping me to break some of my bad driving habits and become what he calls a "defensive driver". He answered all my questions in detail and was firm but never mean on my mistakes. He even showed me how to pump gas. Before I started this course, my only driving experience was practicing turns in a parking lot. I was stressed out and wanted to avoid driving at all costs. But by the end of the 7 hours, I felt significantly more confident and competent in my ability to drive. His decades-long experience in driving and teaching showed in each lesson, and I'm not nearly as worried for my driving test or the roads anymore. Rick genuinely cares for providing a quality service to his customers, which isn't something that I can say for a lot of other instructors and schools. He's a great guy, an even better instructor, and runs an exceptional driving school. Everyone has to learn how to drive someday. Choose Imperial Driving School.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience! I am a very nervous driver and had not driven in a year. I just wanted to be able to drive locally but by the end I was able to drive an hour away and even drive on the highway with Rick's patience and guidance. He was also able to pick me up and drop me off at my home which most driving schools here do not do. Do not hesitate to book. He's the best!

Fantastic experience: I chose this school exactly because of the Google Reviews and I'd say they are accurate. Rick is very responsible and responsive. He is also very confident when he teaches -- he knows what he's doing, and he knows how to teach driving. I especially appreciated how he gifted me an extra hour to make up for a canceled appointment (he had to send his car in to repair a leak), and ANOTHER hour because *I* got sick. He went out of his way to satisfy customers. There are two things to note: 1. as of my visit, the office is not open without an appointment. Don't go to the office without contacting the school first. 2. Rick likes to take you on the road very early on in the lesson. I am not sure how standard this is, and it did scare me at first. Now I really appreciate the experience, because when you are learning, you want to get on the road as much as possible with an experienced instructor and a driving school vehicle.

Imperial Driving School exceeded my expectations. Personalized Lesson Plan: I signed up for a 5-hour lesson plan. This included a 1-hour lesson on the first day, a 2-hour lesson on the second day, and a 2-hour lesson (including the driving test) on the third day. Day 1: My instructor Rick, quickly put my initial anxiety to rest. Before we drove, he showed me that he could take control of the situation whenever required using the passenger-side brakes, making me feel safe. Within 30 minutes, I was comfortably navigating the neighborhood and main roads. The day ended with essential lessons on safe lane changing, turning, and vital road rules. Day 2: Surprisingly, within a day, I was confidently driving on the freeway. Rick provided invaluable tips for safe freeway driving, including lane merging, monitoring blind spots, and ensuring I didn't stay in other cars' blind spots. This was a lot to take in, but Rick's mentoring made it manageable. Day 3: This day was all about review and application. We drove on the freeway, through various routes, including one to my workplace. I had a lot of say in tailoring the lesson plan to fit my needs. I felt completely prepared for my upcoming test. Driving Test: The test included parking instructions and real-world driving scenarios. Rick helped walk me through the various scenarios that could be on the test prior, so I felt incredibly prepared. At the end of the test, he tells you what areas you did well in and also what areas led to points being taken off. Final Thoughts: The thought of driving used to scare me, but after just one lesson at Imperial Driving School, my fears subsided. Rick's approachable style and clear feedback made me feel comfortable and confident. His teachings transformed me into a proactive, defensive driver.
