Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough great things about Ted at All Star Driving Academy! He was an awesome instructor who encouraged my child through the entire process. My child received nothing but compliments and positive feedback about her driving, and Ted was always patient and respectful. He was even apologetic for any misunderstandings, which shows how much he cares about his students and their families. I truly believe Ted does not deserve the negative reviews he’s gotten. Most of the complaints seem to come from students who either failed or dropped out and were simply unhappy with the outcome. Our experience was the complete opposite — Ted has been nothing but professional, kind, and encouraging. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled, respectful, and supportive driving instructor.

Negative experience: to all the parents, pick another place. do not send your child here to get their permit or drivers license. here’s the experience, you will be driving with an instructor named Ted. the thing with him is that he is such a bully and has a problem with almost everything you do. at one point I literally came up with an excuse and said I was sick during the drive just because he wouldn’t stop screaming at me and making me feel very uneasy for making little mistakes. he makes you very uncomfortable and tensed. just don’t send anyone you know here, they will experience very unprofessional guidance. this place really needs to be shut down.

Negative experience: Why did I leave a 2 star review for this driving school? Well, my first class, I was there for only one day (felt sick that night), came back another day TO RETAKE THE CLASS (mind you, I was with my sister and one of my friends), so I was all alone (I have social anxiety) for the class, (I think) I felt sick again etc, then when I go to take the written test, I failed because “it wasn’t a multiple answer test”, so I had to go for a day to take a multiple answer test, I passed, then I waited to go do the driving part, well, of course, I wanted a lady instructor, because I don’t know why, but I wanted a lady instructor, and she was alright, but I didn’t to to bad, but not good either, but anyway, I did the practice driving, then when I was done with all that, the lady told my mom that “I needed to eat.” Oh really? So, me having “Social Anxiety” have something to do with “needing something to eat”? No thank you! I currently have a permit (I think you have to get that before going take the classes, which reading the reviews, the reviews though kinda makes sense. To top it all off, my mom, she knows the owners of this academy, so that’s why she had my sis and I go to this place. (If ya’ll have social anxiety, go find a better reviewed place that the reviews itself say the people work there are nice, but that’s my opinion).

Negative experience: TLDR: Look at the other reviews for this school... it has a 2.8(!) outa 5. This is the worst driving school you could go to. Unless you want to be yelled at, distracted while driving, and go through some of the most stressful times in your life, don't come here I wish I could give this school a lower grade, but I can't. Let me start by saying if you are a perspective parent or person interested in going to this driving school, PLEASE do not. Going to this school is one of the worst experiences I've ever had in my life. My parents got the package where I do drivers Ed then after a certain amount of time I go back to get my license. The classroom itself was stressful. Ted was not a great teacher, but it wasn't the end of the world. I certainly didn't like being there. The actually driving is where it gets horrible. Before I ever got into the car Ted asked if I had driven. Mind you I was 15 at this point and a big rule follower. And since I was getting my permit not license, I couldn't legally drive without Ted. And when I told him I hadn't, he said (very passive aggressively) "Well you should've duuuude". We get in the car, with me never had driven at all before. And he has me back up and turn into a highway... where cars are going 55 mph. I barely knew how to change gears, didn't know how to use lights or windshield wipers, nothing. We pull out and this was years ago so I don't remember everything. But he didn't teach me how to park, parallel park, nothing. Being in the car with him literally gave me more stress than I've ever had for anything. But let's skip to recently. I had waited literal years to start driving even after I got my permit. Cause I went into All Stars with no confidence (as I had never driven), and I somehow left with even less. It wasn't until last September/October that I finally decided that I would go back. I had to go back to him because we bought the drivers ed plus license package. So I went back. And I had driven with my parents a good bit leading up to it and was quite confident. The second I got into the car, I couldn't even backup and he was asking "Dude, walk me through what you're going to do" (when backing out). He didn't like the way I was backing out and made me do it his way. I cannot describe to you the level of aggression I felt coming off of this man. I swear I could grab it it was so thick in the air. Other comments do a better job than I explaining that. Best descriptor I have is the experience with "Traumatizing". and I don't use that lightly. So he failed me the first time I took my test. We were at a four way red light turning right. The light was red, and when pulling up he said "Don't mess this up dude". And I was confused as to why he'd say that for a normal red light. In my head, that told me that he wanted me to take a right on red (even though I didn't want to; I also didn't want him to get mad again). After stopping, the cars had stopped coming from what I could see, I tried to go. And a car was turning left from in front of me and I was breaking to stop but he slammed on his breaks and told me I failed. Second time going back he failed me again, but gave me a chance. This ones gold. He had me get in the right lane when it turned to a 5 lane. Then not even 15 sec later told me to move to the left lane to get in the turning lane to turn into a neighborhood road. But I couldn't because there was a car going about our speed in the left lane slightly behind us. And the turn was coming up close so I was slowing down to let the car in the left lane pass. But he started screaming at me "DUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOING. SPEED UP. GO. GET IN THE OTHER LANE". But I knew I couldn't because the car was too close. So he failed me because he put me in the right lane to then switch two lanes over in less than 20sec later. But then he gave me one more shoot and I made that one and got my license. Additionally, his direction giving SUCKS. Please do not send anyone you know to this school unless you want them to have the worse experience (or one of) in their life.

Negative experience: Glad to see so many other people recognize how terrible this place is, especially the man that gives the road tests. It took me a very long time to get on the road again because of how terrible this man was. Someone should seriously look into this place. There’s no way that any of this is allowed.

Negative experience: This man is a scammer he will slam on the breaks he has installed in his car and fail you on your driving test for no reason other than to get extra money and try and convince your parents you aren’t ready to be on the road, he does this with nearly every student if you take his class he has no choice but to give you a permit so I reccomend dropping out the middle man and using your permit he gives you to take a test at the dmv instead of with him

Negative experience: Would not recommend. The man literally yells and yells for no reason like a monkey at a zoo. Yell because I didn’t look at my mirrors in a specific order like it make no sense. Just trash

Bookworm Happy 2 years ago

Negative experience: It was a disaster. They act nice in the beginning, but as soon as I went to go for my test, I was asked a ton of questions that made no sense. The answer seemed simple, but he will fuss and raise his voice at you for the tiniest things. Swears up and down that he'll fail you for the smallest things, and is really just a huge bully. Screamed almost the entire time, and when he wasn't screaming, he was extremely passive aggressive. Gave me a panic attack and I am usually a very confident driver. Brought me to tears and I sobbed and he didn't even tell me if I passed or failed. Brought my mom out and complained about my driving to her, when the wife saw me crying she huffed and didn't say anything. If you want to save yourself a load of trauma and money, SKIP THIS PLACE!!!

Negative experience: Tried calling to schedule an appointment, twice. The woman had an attitude. The man was nice, but said he'd have someone call back to schedule an appointment and never did.

Negative experience: Tried to call and schedule a class and the lady on the phone got mad when she misheard me and hung up after saying she would call me back. She never called me back.

Negative experience: Do NOT send your children to these people. Horrible attitudes, willing to berate your child in front of you, criticizes women drivers in front of women, causes students to be very uncomfortable and upset. Will NEVER recommend them, not even to my worst enemy. Take your business elsewhere. Awful experience.

Negative experience: Horrible experience would not recommend to anyone. People are rude. And very unprofessional. If you make an appt. They need to keep it and then try and make excuses after they tried to make you come in early. Then give you the run around after that. Go somewheres else.

Negative experience: I do not recommend these people. Spend your money somewhere else where you won't get interrogated while she does the paperwork. Sylvia had a bad attitude the whole time and made many unnecessary comments that didn't pertain to my daughter and the services she was providing. Very unprofessional. Her husband Ted was pleasant but they lost my business for good.
