Brooklyn Police Department: Reviews
Negative experience: Police department full of crooks, chief of police useless human being. Own cop hit some one on the highway, ran was chased, then assaulted the man he hit. And guess what....... nothing happened. You wonder why police are so hated, cause you 100 percent deserve all the hate!!!! Be better human being!!!
Negative experience: not the office hit and run haha sad sad sad, imagine how many folks yall have done dirty
Positive experience: Officer Neff & Officer Perriti are two COs in the jail that need a raise! They really love & are good at what they do & helped me through my time just with there words of encouragement & kindness. Two of the kindest, caring COs in that jail. Every other CO needs to be fired.
Negative experience: Brooklyn police department is a very racist Police station even the girls are not good officers you need to do a under cover boss workers to see how your department operate make sure they are indigenous you will experience the real deal prejudice
Negative experience: Give the guy his pet back. Don’t you guys have any real crimes to solve.
Negative experience: give the dude his dwarf caiman back
Negative experience: So the officer is speeding on the snow around a turn and slams into a truck with a child in the back and tries to blame the truck that pulled out of the way. Now they don’t want to cover it? I’m sure he will get some kind of justice
Negative experience: So yeah, the Parma/Brooklyn area police department is FULL OF PEEPING TOMS! You'd think instead of playing drone games perhaps they'd do some police work and clean up the streets but you'd be wrong, I pissed them off months ago and anytime I'm in the area theirs the boys and girls in blue playing w their little toys that cost tax payers a pretty penny while they violate the hell out of citizens rights. If you haven't got anything yet you're not gonna because there's nothing to see here, sorry about your luck. Well, by nothing I mean illegal for you to harass me and follow me and spy on me about but I have plenty for the courts to see when I sue the police force for harassment - months of something's! Do your damn job and leave law abiding citizens alone before all those new govt appointed funds start going to pay the judgements on the court cases you'll be losing over protected constitutional rights afforded to U S. Citizens! 7/15/24 - it appears the Brooklyn police department has attempted to "set me up" as some kind of informant or snitch in an effort to have others cause harm and damage to my reputation in a city that doesn't know anything about me. While at the park yesterday walking my dogs a car waited until I was towards the end of the field to speed up to my vehicle and attempt to do something to it. As I hurried back to prevent damage or tracking as fast as possible without leaving my disabled dog behind they quickly sped off to the part of the parking lot straight back from the entrance so I recorded all vehicles and people present as well as them leaving the park. I also recorded what I believe to be the vehicle at the apartments across the street when I followed them since they ran a red light almost causing an accident. I waited for a green light and went the wrong way through the complex rather than attempting to run a red light and cause harm to others or break the law myself. Someone was also approaching the street from where they were messing with my car so I recorded him as he walked to the same apartment complex the SUV drove to. Real friend and winner there, leaving you behind like the cowardly lion he/she is! While recording the vehicles leaving I had a most peculiar conversation with someone out of the blue that I believe the feds will have an interest in speaking to regarding the department and the many violations of citizens rights they're guilty of! "Party on Wayne" bc s getting real deep around these parts!
Negative experience: 4/24/24 Illegal drone surveillance, guess they don't like being told how to do their job and I now have them on video harassing me via drone 2x! Complete violation of my rights and shows how they think they're above t law they took an oath to enforce. I'll be submitting my videos to t Feds. since Ohio can't police it's own. If you had a similar experience plz share to help stop t abuse of power! While leaving t park 2 officers pulled up behind my car, blocking me in, and quickly approached my car to say t park was closed and proceeded to quiz me about why I was there. I was trying to explain but was cut off by one of t officers asking for my ID. I asked why since it was just then 11p and I was already out of the park but we all know you don't really have any rights and if you don't comply you're instantly treated like a criminal. While one officer was running my license another car drove from inside t park, past the officers and even sat at a light behind them but they ignored it. I called them out on allowing the other car to leave because I thought they were checking everyones ID. Finding out I was singled out although I left the park before closing and had done nothing wrong pissed me off and left me feeling manipulated. I called to file a complaint with their superior and even emailed t chief but as expected I never received a reply. My second encounter was in t parking lot of a TGI Fridays after it had closed. I was at t opposite end of t parking lot near t street and multiple hotels. A female officer pulled up shining a spotlight on me that prevented me from being able to see what was going on and I stepped out of t vehicle aggravated because once again I'm being harassed while doing nothing wrong. There was a pile of trash behind my car, diagonal from where I was parked, so the officer asked if it was mine while t tone of her question said it all (because we all throw our trash on the ground and proceed to park near it when we're done). While I was answering and pointing to t bag of trash in my car she jumped into asking why I was there, telling me I shouldn't be there and that I couldn't stay there all without giving me an opportunity to properly answer or defend myself during t interaction. I explained t best I could that I have slept there before but I was just eating after a late night of deliveries and that I planned on returning to work once finished. There was no reason for this interaction to be like this and had I not felt attacked there could have even been some sarcastic humor to ease t tension. If you've read any of my other reviews you'll notice I've started commenting on how I'm treated by people since becoming homeless, through no fault of my own, a couple years ago. This interaction like so many others was all about domination and control meant 2 make me feel like I’m up 2 no good, not welcome or inferior. Even when I said I was homeless and had slept there before she showed no compassion, gave no words of encouragement or even offered any information on places I could go 4 assistance. These interactions don't make me question myself t way they're intended but they hurt none t less bc it shows a lack of humanity and compassion. Since becoming homeless I've traveled from MI to TX working for different Gig Apps to pay my way and staying in hotels, rest stops and other places along t way and something I've come to realize - people love 2 assume, accuse and gossip about utter nonsense. I drive a nice car, it's clean, I dress nice, I'm clean, my dogs are cared for and I'd like to think I appear just as I did before but people literally put effort into making me feel less than. People talk down to me, authority figures try to chase me away, strangers complain just because I exist in a space meant for everyone. I don't bother people or ask anyone for anything, I'm polite and engaging when approached and more likely to help someone than ask for it. Socially awkward but aware and intelligent. Seek help if you're struggling in life bc treating others this way won't solve your own emotional turmoil.
Negative experience: How stupid can police be to think that buying something from a legally operated pet store is the same thing as buying something illegal from a drug dealer? The man was trying to explain that he didn't realize it was a crime because he bought it from a legally operated store, but you idiots took it as "I spent money on it therefore it's legal". Good lord, is it a requirement to be that stupid to be an officer? It also doesn't help you idiots pretend to not be racist when you call him in as a BLACK man instead of an adult male, which is what he was. After that call, it became obvious why the department was so condescending and demeaning the entire time.
Negative experience: We need to hear this cop got punished for his actions, against a biker that didint do anything. The biker was given a ticket for someone else and the officer admitted it in the video. It is ridiculous how you guys didn’t bring any attention to it. That cop needs to be fired immediately
Negative experience: Straight road pirates. All they care about are pulling people over not even going 10 over the limit. I watched an officer pull over a driver, stopping them in the middle of the road during lunch rush traffic for not even going what appeared to be 10 over. Instead of allowing the driver to pull off safely in a parking lot they stoped them in the road, which caused a lot of extra confusion and risk trying to get back onto 480 as I now had to compete against traffic due to the officer stopped in the road to get three lanes over onto the interstate. There's some days that I can count three officers doing speed patrol within a 1.5 mi stretch. If you visit this town and get off 480 on ridge road, I highly recommend using tools such as Waze or a radar detector. The best option is just to avoid this town altogether.
Negative experience: Shady police department getting off any financial liability on an insurance technicality. Just do the right thing and pay for the property YOU damaged!
Negative experience: You know there are crooks in every profession but when you trust and rely on the police department and they completely lie to your face
Negative experience: Hold everyone accountable except yourself.
Negative experience: Trashhhh own up to your mistakes and pay the man for his truck. Why tf are officers spending in snowy conditions
Negative experience: Your officers need to go back to training. If someone is parked and and the bike is turned off you and you didnt have any lights on pryor then you CANNOT write a ticket. Learn the law or get a chief in there that knows the law so he/she can train these people properly. Get it togother or put in your resignation chief.
Negative experience: Shoe tree
Negative experience: Pay for the man's truck you cowards. It was your fault. Protect and Serve shouldn't even be on your cruisers. More like harass and extort. You're all horrible people and I wish nothing but the worst for you all.
Negative experience: Pay for that man's truck, you guys are despicable
Fantastic experience: Officers were very helpful & polite.
Negative experience: This police dept has beyond the laziest and worthless so called officers. Now I see why they have such terrible reviews.
Fantastic experience: Respectful
Negative experience: They have officers Gomez 7727 and officer Carmona 8491 that have absolutely no idea what the United State constitution is ! Very rude and ignorant, they act more like a mexican police than American police .
Negative experience: Don't go to this town unless u want to get rear-ended by the police and have them not pay for damages. What if that man or his 2 year old daughter were injured? Would the police have left them with the medical bills on top of the damage to vehicle? Absolutely despicable how they don't take any responsibility!!
Negative experience: Absolutely disgraceful. Do the right thing. You know you should help that man out with his truck. I don't know how the officer that hit that man and his daughter can look himself in the mirror. This is how you Earn the hate. Why don't you sell one of those stupid armored vehicles you probably have and get that guy a new truck.
Negative experience: I find it appalling that the Chief and all of the Officers of this agency hide behind liability immunity laws and refuse to stand by a citizen whom was hit by one of the officers in February. "Sorry about that man" does little to help this man and his family replace the truck that was totaled by the Officer. Emergency response is a poor excuse of collateral damage in this incident and should not become a blank check paid by the citizens who do the right thing. Shame on you guys, and the City of Brooklyn Ohio.
Negative experience: make sure to give these guys a call if you want them to come crash into your vehicle and make you pay for it...
Negative experience: What's with the speed trap in cenveo parking lot. If you drive a little you find all kinda tickets
