Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend, instructor was pretty rude

Michael Genson 4 months ago

Negative experience: I don't recomend this to anyone. My son just took the actual test, and made one mistake by turning left on just turn red light. Because he was nervous. And the instructor decided not to proceed to finish the entire actual driving test and evaluate the score.

Negative experience: I read the reviews before the exam and told my wife to over exaggerate the head turns when checking blinds spots so that the instructor could see. She told me that she did and he still failed her because she didn't turn her head enough. I guess we have to be able to do the exorcism head twist to prove we turn ours heads.

Negative experience: We also had not a very good experience today. We had our first driving lesson 02/19 with Johnnie, and he is a great instructor. My daughter was happy with the lesson and said she really wanted to continue driving. But today, on 02/26, we had a lesson with Marc, and (with all due respect to your age) I do not recommend this instructor! I have never encountered such an attitude before. Many people say that the front desk staff is bad, but I wouldn’t say so. Overall, I had a good impression of this school until today—specifically, until today’s experience with this instructor. If you want a good instructor for your child, I highly recommend Johnnie and Patty! But NEVER Marc! And even 1 star is too much for this, but only because there are still good people there, I'm giving 1 star!

Negative experience: Real struggle to be honest, real jank website that they use. Staff are a night and day difference depending on the individual. Used to be way better when one of my siblings took it, gone down a lot. Extra money is worth for alternative options.

Negative experience: I'm going to be 100% honest. Please do not attend this school unless you are over the age of 18/21. This review is based over the new location near the Fred Meyers. This place is a well established area that consists of okay-ish staff. However, there are many areas that are rough that may need sharpening and a better understanding of how the world runs now. Firstly, the front office people. There are times where the front office people will act nicely, and act unprofessional. I tried scheduling a drive and in return I was given a snobby attitude from a fully grown woman. Not a good remark towards me. Second, the instructors are good, but ONLY certain instructors. My last instructor was nice and didn't get angry at me and merely just told me to slow down and to correct my mistake. My current instructor is a pain, instead of being corrected in a nice tone, I was told that I had the knowledge of a "elemetry-level student". I know who you are if you are the one who spoke to me of this. They as well told me that I am stupid, dumb, and apparently blind. I feel as if I'm being racially profiled as another student wasn't told the same but was **SWERVING** the entire drive whilst I wasn't. Also to the guy who was testing, traditionally you would **never** say the student's grade outloud. Unless you were taught that from the times of 1950-1980, please obtain better know that times have change and that type of "professional" work, is not professional. A teacher would not, a medical doctor with information of a patient would not. Even if I was told something so important, I would not. You failed at that. Overall, 911 Driving Academy of Bonney Lake is not professional, and semi professional. To the administration who holding at this location, I **URGE** you to survey your current students and condemn those who negatively go against YOUR own students. Remember, we paid for our driving lessons and we are paying YOU to help us. It is never the other way around. To those who read these and believe that you are the ones that did this, you are carrying the future generation to a better future, it may seem that this may seem like nonsense, don't take this lightly. Become more professional, you wouldn't like it if the world knew you told a kid they were terrible whilst another instructor was more professional about it. **A message to parents** If this place is your last resort, teach your children more than their instructors. Makes sure your child doesn’t run into problems with instructors, and helps instructors feel relaxed. Good luck out there (edited due to language barrier)

Negative experience: $700 is excessive

Negative experience: My daughter failed her test twice because the instructor said that she did not turn her head enough while driving. Both the instructor and front desk insisted that I pay for a 5hr driving course which costs $500. I didn't believe it because I am the one who is teaching my daughter how to drive and I have spend many hrs. with her on the road. Two days after failing the driving test at 911 Driving school, we went to another school and she passed her driving test. I truly believe that this facility is out here to take money from the public and does not care about the safety of others.

Positive experience: Nice people

Negative experience: Extremely rude and unprofessional. Never in my life have I been treated like that. Did nothing but yell and make faces at me the entire time I took the test. Please don't send your kids here, this is not how human beings deserve to be treated.

Negative experience: Mike the driving instructor is a horrible proctor and person all around. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional how he handled a driving license test. Do NOT use this location. Seek a different company and location. Horrible experience.

Negative experience: if you have the option I would avoid using 911 driving school in Bonney lake. It is overly crowded with a students compared to staff available. The drives are almost impossible to get scheduled. My son started classes in April, he has only had two drives and the schedule is full through august. We will be dragging this out for the whole next year at this rate. The drive slots fill as soon as they are posted randomly and without notifications. So, if you don't have time to check every 30 mins for new posted dates and times, you miss out. I also do not agree with the rudeness and unprofessional behavior of one specific instructor. He reads the test questions quickly and moves on. When asked to repeat the questions, he got an attitude. My son really struggled with the testing portion due to this. I am beyond frustrated and wish we had gone elsewhere, especially for the ridiculous price we paid.

Negative experience: I just passed my driver's test so my overall experience is pretty fresh on this. To start off, my opinion on this drivers school is meh at best, with decent pros, and cons that'll make you rethink getting your drivers ed here. Pros: - The driving instructors are some of the nicest, helpful, and most understanding people I've met on my practice drives. When I had a question they did their best to answer and help me through it during a drive and always had a great attitude during. Even the final drive test was thoroughly explained and made nearly impossible to fail unless you have no driving experience. They are the main learning factor for me passing my drive test. Cons: - The biggest con with this driving school is sadly the school itself. I did it over zoom during peak covid so it may have changed but I highly doubt it. The teacher was old and had little to no knowledge of the modern world to help us through our drives. They used decade old films and driving tips that I found provided little to no help on the road and the information wasn't retainable whatsoever. It got to the point where I could just screen record the lesson, play on my phone, go back and write down the red text, and finish for the day. This process took a total of 10 minutes compared to the 2 hour class where the teacher basically explained nothing. To further support this, I didn't pay attention for most of the course and still passed the writen test with a 94% and the driving test with a 94% (granted the driving instructors were great). Back to the actual teacher, he didn't really know how to work powerpoint which made the course way more difficult than it needed to be, he barely explained anything when you asked a question, and he even took 30 minutes of a lesson I'm paying for, to talk about his chickens. - The office staff. Oh goodness the office staff is the second worse part about this driving school, which is a common occurrence as can be seen by the other reviews for this place. If you try to schedule anything over the phone they'll hit you with the 'it's Monday morning I don't want to be here, I don't want to talk to you, and I sure don't want to help you'. Their attitude made me hang up immediately after they shot down one of my requests and failed appointments with no explanation, because I didn't want to deal with their snobby, sarcastic remarks. All in all I give this school a 2/5 for the sole reason that the actual driving practice is amazing. I would highly recommend this school for drive practice with the actual instructors but I wouldn't waste the time and money to get your education here. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps!

Negative experience: Do not recommend going here for drive test. I got told by one of the ladies at desk that my non photo instructional permit should work for the test so I can take it so I paid and scheduled went in to take my test they told me I needed a photo I’d and that they would not let me take my test and said I can pay $30 fee to reschedule when I’m ready, I called today and they told me that I cannot do that and that I would have to pay $65. I’m very disappointed

Negative experience: Canceled my son's drive 3 times already and he still has 3 drives to go. Promises made multiple times to call us as soon as tiles open up due to canceling his drives and we never get a call. No one seems to know what is going on. I understand covid has caused problems but this place needs to get it together and prioritize the kids they are canceling week after week. We paid for extra instruction/drives time and I doubt he will get do then which means it's wasted money.

Negative experience: My brother has completed his entire driving course at this location. When he returned inside to schedule his drive test, the grown man mind you, who had taken him on his drive was sitting inside speaking maliciously about how sweaty my brothers hands get and saying “I had the sweaty hands kid”. This place is extremely unprofessional. To be run by police officers & officiated with that and this is how you represent yourself? These kids who are just graduating or not graduated yet have been stuck inside and to be talked about when you go in public for something that is a medical condition they cannot control is disgusting. When assistant manager was spoken to, she simply said he wasn’t speaking maliciously and she was there. Why is this allowed to go on period?! You are working with children most of the time through a driving course. Disgusting.

Negative experience: I'm sure they'd do the job like anyone else if they answered the phone, been trying to schedule a drive test for 2 weeks, over 10 calls only one that went through I got out on hold then hung up on

Fantastic experience: I would recommend the 911 Driving School to anybody. They are the most friendly, understanding of any situation, schools that I talk to and I've come across.

Negative experience: Horrible service, was just a few minutes late and they made me reschedule and pay for another test. In my effort to talk to there employee about rescheduling he continued to play solitaire on his computer. I will be sure to go to 911 driving in Puyallup next time, I'm sure I would be more satisfied with whatever the outcome should be if i go to Puyallup. Just pre warning for all the adults who might be bringing their teenagers in.

Fantastic experience: 911 was an excellent driving school for all three of my kids. Our daughter was having issues parallel parking and instructor Mike Mong had her confident with just a couple of tries.
