Fantastic experience: Great prices and class hours!

Negative experience: In all honesty, terrible place to go. The prices are nice, but that's if you can actually sign up for the class. And when that happens you aren't able to request different day(Like they advertise). Not to mention they canceled my 14 hour course even after overlooking all that. Probably for the best because I'm sure I can find a better alternative.

Fantastic experience: I took the class portion of this Driving school this past weekend and have yet to do the driving portion. But what I experienced this weekend was nothing of what the rude people on this website speak of. Mrs. Doucet was a pleasure to have teaching me. She absolutely cracked me up! Thanks to her and Mrs. Pat I passed my test. For a cheap price i get the class and the driving where as other places cost up to $400. It was a pleasure being in your class this past weekend Mrs. Doucet i appreciate it so much and i look forward to doing my driving and get my license. A bad review? Y'all trippin"

Fantastic experience: I am not a review writer at all (sorry google), but I could not stop myself from writing one for this driving school. I got my driving licence in Doucet`s Driving School recently. first, I want to thank Mrs. Doucet for her kindness and consideration. I had a very special situation since I was very new in the City, they listened to my problems very patiently and offered to help me voluntarily without even me asking for anything (like they offered to drive me to the Walmart on weekends...). I could not find a better driving school to go period. I am an international student in town and would definitely and strongly suggest them to anyone since they offer the best price in Lafayette and are very professional and helping.

Fantastic experience: I moved from Canada and required the 14 hours of driver training to get my DL in Louisiana. Ms Doucet went out of her way for me to help. the classroom portion was very informative and thorough and the practical driving exam was very helpful and taught me some things that I wouldn't have known about driving in LA as compared to Canada. A+++, I would recommend Doucet driving school to anyone!!

Negative experience: The owner of this company is a pitiful excuse for a business owner!!! She literally had me in tears this morning by the way she spoke to me and my grandson!!! Was trying to ask her a simple question before dropping my grandson and she just flat out told me to shut up!! I'm 59 years old and I have never seen a business owner act so unprofessional like I experience with this sorry excuse of a person!!! I was shocked when she told me she owned the business!! This woman is the epitome of evil!! Please don't subject your child or grandchild to this type of behavior!! She is the worst business owner I have ever come in contact with!!! Went to another driving school after being verbally insulted and my grandson thanked the receptionist for being nice to us...WOW!!! Check the BBB before making a decision!!! I would rate this company a 0 if I could!!! I would vote her out of business if I could!!! But GOD sees all!!!! I will be filing a civil suit against her!!!! I'm so happy that I didn't allow my grandson to stay there and have Marilyn (the owner) call him stupid for making an honest mistake like she done to a 15 year old or smoking in the car with a student that has asthma....pitiful!!!

Fantastic experience: This is the best place to start your driving experience with experienced instructors. Instructors are so good at what they do. they've been so dedicated to teach(especially miss Cindy).In my entire 8 hour lesson I learned many new skills which i didn't know or I was not aware about earlier.Most importantly instructors and staffs were so friendly.I have got my license within exactly 1 week.

Fantastic experience: Marilyn was a delightful person to drive with. I was in a class of 30 plus student drivers , a lot of them would rather talk instead of paying attention to details which is crucial to driving safely. Sure she has to tell them quite in the class for the others who wants to learn. I would given some of them their money back and tell them to go to another driving school. One student next to me want to talk and I wanted to listen. Such a idiot that he failed. But she gave him another chance. Marilyn is alright by me.l've send a friend there and another on her way.

Negative experience: Not recommended. This woman is a sham. She left my daughter in the car for an hour while she ran errands during what was supposed to be my daughter's final 3 hours of driving instruction.

Negative experience: I would rate 0 stars if I could. In our lecture portion she called a 15 year old stupid for making an honest mistake. In my driving lessons she was impatient, had an attitude, and quick to shout. A driving instructor is supposed to be patient, if I wanted someone to suck their teeth at me every time I made a mistake, I would've driven with a parent. We stopped for a quick brake and she lit a cigarette while in the car with me. Why would anyone smoke while working? I have asthma. It's a courtesy to ask another if it's okay to smoke around them, and of course she didn't. There are too many negativite situations to keep writing in this review. Please avoid Marilny Doucet's driving school or your experience will be sour.
