Fantastic experience: Great teachers! Wonderful experience! I did the online courses with the in person driving, and I have only good things to say about the whole thing. People said it would be hard to schedule drives during the summer, but I didn't have much trouble with it. Thank you A1!

Fantastic experience: Scheduling is difficult and challenging but we like Chuck! Make sure your instructor is Chuck and not Matthew F. Chuck is very thorough at teaching and has also taught my oldest daughter, 10 years ago. My 16 year old is impressed but was disappointed while observing Matthew today. He ended 30 minutes earlier so she had to call her sister to be picked up (I’m relieved she was able to) because the driver was afraid to go on the freeway on her first day. She said it was like driving with a buddy and he wasn’t educational nor persistent. She felt sad for that girl. We think that if they can’t do a task then have them do another one like work on parking or turns instead to get their time and money’s worth. Chuck teaches the whole time and has them repeat the assignment until they are comfortable. My girls talk highly of him and he finishes on time so you don’t feel like you’ve lost your money. It’s a great school concept but the scheduling is lousy. Not sure what other instructors they have but Chuck is our favorite!

Negative experience: My son had his final drive and realized when he got to the drive, he had lost his permit. We were charged $60 for having to cancel (bc you can’t drive without a permit!) and when I asked if they would open up a drive time so my son could complete the final requirement before getting his license the following week on his birthday, the answer was NO. It is nearly impossible to get driving times reserved… it feels like trying to get Taylor Swift concert tickets online. Their customer care has gone down hill since my oldest used them 7 years ago. Never did I see so much difficulty in completing the course and an unwillingness to help students finish up. I would go elsewhere for a private driving program bc it’s not worth the hassle, the cost, or time!!! ****Original post I gave 1 star but changed it to 2 stars bc somehow after I wrote this, no more than 2 minutes later, I had a call saying they had an opening and my son could have it… how ‘bout that! ****

Negative experience: Scheduling drive time with this school is impossible, especially if you have anything else going on in your life other than learning to drive. This school greedily overbooks their courses so that, when it comes time to schedule drive time, slots are filled almost immediately. They do not hire enough staff to accommodate their enrollment and leave the customer to fight in the hunger games to try and secure slots they’ve already paid for. Also, in my experience, they never answer the phone, so leaving a message and waiting for a call back is how they run their business. Customers and their experience is not this company’s priority. Buyer beware!

Negative experience: Getting drive time is impossible. They have way overbooked their capacity. Will not use A1 again.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place at all. Be aware they will tell you their text notification reminders on appointments are inaccurate and they will make you pay a 60 dollar fee for missing a session you didn't know about. This place will get as much money out of you as possible. They do not care about the student it's all about A1 driving school and how much money they can make. Not only that but I don't need to hear my driving instructors whole life story well I'm trying to concentrate and practice my driving skills. I wish no stars we're an option

Negative experience: Scheduling drive time is nearly impossible it fills up within two minutes of opening and the only times offered are durring your young drivers school hours.

Negative experience: I signed up my second kid to take Driver's Ed with A1 believing this would be more efficient and effective than the school-based program. I could not have been more wrong. Scheduling drives was ridiculous; bordering on misrepresentation of the service. When I was finally put on the "special" / "in-office" waitlist, I always had to adjust my work/life schedule to accept any available opening. It took three months from the time my kid got her permit until her drives were done. It took six weeks to get into the DLD (I get that this is not A1's problem) and my kid FAILED the driving exam. All this time, money and emotional energy and my kid still does not have her license. This business should be investigated by the Better Business Bureau. Worst money I've ever spent.

Fantastic experience: I took my driving lessons here, super great experience. I did learn a lot during each session and sometimes even feel it's like a tour, which brings a lot of fun to me.

Negative experience: I have to think these 4 and 5 Star reviews aren't actually legitimate customers. You can not get drive times through this company. They don't 'guarantee' a completion date ( isn’t an end date the whole purpose of getting a license ) and are clearly needing more instructors based off how many packages they sell. They expect you to log on at 10 am every Wed. and refresh continually to 'get a spot' and they are always full within seconds. We Tried every week for over a month. It's a waste of time and a headache, not to mention the instructors are rude, the customer service is rude and there are a number of schools you could hire. Choose another. Wish we had.

Negative experience: Prevented me from getting license on time due to not submitting papers to DMV

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a quick and efficient way to get your drivers ed done, this is the place. The course helped me become more confident in my driving! The drive instructor was so nice and had so much confidence in me that it made me feel comfortable on the road. I passed my tests with flying colors and I'm so glad I took this course!

Negative experience: It has been a nightmare trying to get my daughter's completion information from them. We used to live right be this location. We went by repeatedly, no one was ever there even during listed ongen hours. We have called and never gotten anyone to pickup. We have left messages and they have never been returned. And, this has beeno a year. I have no idea how to reach this company. It has been a waste of time and money.

Negative experience: Sorry to say they don’t deserve 1 star also, I came all away from California to Utah but my bad luck I wasted money, after 1 week stay in a hotel snowfalls cancel the appointment and then I failed as a 3 months learning from school. They just earning money 1 time fail is 300$ nice trick for earning money, if you pay money you’ll pass but I m not gonna pay any money because at least I have knowledge and self confidence I’ll pass from other Dmv, I really wasted my very important time here days never come back

Fantastic experience: anyone can drive, but driving with safety and confidence is what A1 is the best at around.

Fantastic experience: They did exceptional with our high-functioning autistic daughter. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to actually learn how to drive. The staff and instructors all sincerely cared about our daughters success.

Negative experience: Been trying to finish my last drive time for two months and have had no luck at all, do to the scheduling process. On top of that stuggle I've called multiple times and each time have been met with an unhappy employee that seems to sound like they have better things to do, which is odd because they only seem to be open for 4 hours a WEEK!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful instruction and very friendly/helpful instructors! Finished it in less than the month and it went great!
