Excel Driving School

Fantastic experience: Our family has two drivers who have learned from Mike at Excel and both experiences were five star for sure. Our first daughter has been driving safely for three years now and our second daughter is confidently driving herself and her sister to school for the first few days of school this year. While both daughters approached driving very differently (one highly confident and ready to go and the other much less sure of herself), Mike met both where they were and gave them the instruction they needed to have the appropriate amount of confidence and the tools necessary to be safe, responsible drivers. The lessons begin and end at your home and take place in the vehicle that the student will be using. Mike really takes the time to find out where they plan to drive the most. They get plenty of practice in those places, but also they mix it up so that they get used to adapting to new environments too. When our next child is old enough, we will definitely call on Excel again!

Fantastic experience: I couldn't say more great things about Excel Driving School. It made all the difference for our daughter from being a timid, apprehensive driver, into a confident and capable driver who aced her driving test! This is such an important life skill to have - life or death depends on good driving skills. And Excel goes beyond driving skills and integrates personal safety and awareness into the lessons. Our daughter learned far more from the driving instructor than we would have ever known to tell her. We will use them again for our future drivers in the family!

Fantastic experience: Our daughter really enjoyed her lessons and it was huge for building her confidence. She was very well prepared and had the confidence going into her test, passing on her first attempt. Well worth the time and money.

Fantastic experience: We used Excel a couple of years ago for my older daughter. We had been working with her and when Patrice from Excel took over her confidence and knowledge grew noticeably. She passed her drivers test the first time and has had no accidents or traffic violations during her 2+ years driving. My younger daughter just finished her 5 lessons with Patrice this month and passed the drivers exam with a 100%!!! She is so proud of her accomplishment and drives with cautious ease and confidence. Can’t recommend enough!!

Fantastic experience: Mike is a fantastic driving instructor! He's experienced, patient, and knowledgeable. I signed my 15yr old up for the 5 session package, which I highly recommend. Each session is 2 hours and covers a set of specific topics (i.e. highways, streets, parallel parking, etc) and the final session is a full review of the dmv test including a drive through at the dmv testing location. Mike even came the day of the test to do one last run through with us! Mike is willing to go the extra mile and identifies skills that need work between sessions. After each session my teen's skill level and confidence was noticeably improved. He's friendly and easy to talk to and immediately puts people at ease. My teen passed the test with flying colors on the first try. I simply can't say enough good things about Mike/Excel!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a great experience with Jerry at Excel Driving. As the parent, I coordinated the scheduling of each of the five lessons, and he took her out for the driving sessions in our car. Her confidence increased significantly each time and she was comfortable talking with him and asking questions as needed. It was an investment well-spent, and we will certainly use Excel again in a year for our son.

The examiner said he could tell she had lessons and he even complemented her knowledge and skills that she learned. Jerry was her wonderful instructor. He was very thorough and patient. Fantastic experience: 5 stars for Excel! Our son just passed his driving exam with a score of 100! Even the examiner commented during the test that, based on his driving, it was apparent he had lessons. Our son enjoyed each lesson and felt very prepared going into the test. Jerry had a great demeanor and really taught our son very useful tips and great practices. Definitely recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter just hopefully had her last driving lesson (we find out for sure later this month when she takes her test lol) Mike at Excel Driving School St Louis is amazing!!!! He was so patient and kind with both my daughter and myself as I was a very nervous mama! I’m sure I took up way too much of his time with my crazy stories and antics but he never made us feel rushed or anything. I can not say enough amazing things about Mike and his program! He turned my young nerves and inexperienced teen girl into a confident and knowledgeable driver! I look forward to using him again when my youngest turns 15!

Fantastic experience: Mike was awesome. Our daughter is very shy and Mike's approach put her nerves at ease. They drove all over in various situations and she immediately gained confidence. Instead of being nervous and not wanting to drive us anywhere before, she now insists on driving when we go someplace. The confidence she has gained and the knowledge she is picking up from the lessons is invaluble. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a fantastic experience learning to drive with Mike from Excel. Mike’s relaxed demeanor made my daughter feel very comfortable behind the wheel. Mike not only covered the basics of driving, but took her into challenging situations like driving downtown and through construction on the highway. When my daughter made mistakes, Mike calmly encouraged her to repeat the scenario until she got it right. Mike is exceptionally personable and always showed up right on time for the lesson. We plan to use him again when our next daughter is ready to drive.

Fantastic experience: Jesse gave driving lessons to both of my granddaughters. Very easy to schedule a time with, went above and beyond helping my out of town granddaughter get all her lessons when she came to visit as he knew we were in a time crunch with her getting her license. They both passed the first time they took the test. Both girls learned a lot from Jesse and were very comfortable with him teaching them. They both had a very good positive experience. Highly recommend Jesse, especially for kids with ADHD.

Fantastic experience: Took an “Adult Refresher Course” today and it was amazing. Mike was super helpful through talking through my newer anxieties of driving due to past medical issues and accidents that can be caused living in the city. Can’t recommend them enough, super easy and flexible to work with. Thanks you guys!

Negative experience: 1st coup[le lessons were fine. request to go over course near you. Al - (I wouldn't recommend) took my daughter to Manchester location. We live in St Charles county.

Fantastic experience: Our teen got experience driving from a knowledgeable, friendly instructor. It definitely improved his driving.

Fantastic experience: I have taken several lessons, so far so good. All of their teachers are either currently police officers or retired ones, learning straight from the source is always nice. If the company doesn't answer the phone leave a message for sure, they'll get back to you.

Fantastic experience: Mike taught our daughter how to drive and we loved the program. Mike was always prompt and thorough. We feel much better about our daughter's ability to navigate the roads. It gave her so much confidence and she was extremely well prepared for the exam. We highly recommend this company!

Fantastic experience: If you call and leave a message they will call you back. So worth using their services. The instructor in my area came to my house. He was an active duty sheriff. My daughter thought he was great. Taught her what she needed to know and had a great sense of humor about it. My daughter passed at a difficult testing site . Will use their services again with my other daughter.

Negative experience: Tried reaching these people numerous times with no response. Finally get ahold of them and commit to using them for them to tell me they will get back to me. Still waiting and have made many attempts to try to get ahold of them. Very poor customer service. Call Archway. Emmitt will take care of you.

Negative experience: They do not answer the phone both my mother and I have called several times both numbers and even filled out the contact us form. No one responds and its been several days
