A & A Training and Testing LLC: Reviews
Fantastic experience: My son needed a driving test and we were able to get scheduled for the following day which was very convenient. Regina was the instructor and she was very professional. She was direct and to the point. If any directions were not understood she patiently repeated herself and was very clear. Although driving tests are nerve wracking for the student and the parent, we had a pleasant experience overall.
Fantastic experience: trish at the tecumseh location is absolutely amazing for new anxious drivers taking their road test. very thorough and great communication. highly recommend!
Negative experience: Horrible experience, We brought a legal license and tagged vehicle just because it was out of state was currently insured. They kept trying to identify and saying well Michigan doesn’t do it this way, and we’re like ok well this vehicle is valid in the state it’s registered in and valid to drive anywhere. Because the vehicle he had access to use for testing was not from Michigan, they discriminated. They said “Michigan goes by your birthdate not by what your trying to pull” (totally offensive) the old lady in the red car cannot read a total valid tag. She told the invisible person on the other phone wrong information and the invisible person told her to take half our money after we paid her cash and she gave us no test. Total scam now I even question. I’m grateful that door closed because they are certificates aren’t even valid through the state of Michigan. I’m sure. Save your money if you happen to be in a unique situation or you’re here helping family and someone is going through the process Of getting a drivers license, their customer service sucks. They do not see anything outside of Michigan, which is wrong. Go to E-Z way drivers test. They are way more educated. I will be filing a lawsuit. Their motto should be “Welcome to Michigan, we will rob you while you are trying to do the right thing, because we don’t educate ourselves on how to read out-of-state licensed legal vehicles on the road”
Negative experience: Last Friday I had my driving test with Regina and, honestly, it was not a good experience. From the start, communication was very limited and confusing. During the test, while merging onto the highway with caution, I slowed down on the ramp (without braking abruptly) because another car was in the next lane and I couldn’t merge safely. Even so, Regina reacted in an exaggerated way by saying “Jesus Christ” and putting her hands on her face. That reaction was out of place, startled me, and made me more nervous, which could have even caused an accident. I believe a calmer and more professional attitude would help test takers feel safer and perform better.
Negative experience: Do not take your test with Regyna Snay! She was INCREDIBLY rude and vocal on things that were not even incorrect. She screamed "Jesus christ" and put her head in her hand when my wife used the on-ramp to enter the highway. She was freaked out because my wife used nearly the entire on ramp (literally what you're supposed to do). Mind you, there was a car on the highway in the next lane, so she couldn't get over without slowing down or speeding to get ahead. It's on dashcam, I reviewed it, and her reaction was completely unnecessary and incorrect. My wife didn't do a single thing wrong. Regyna was also upset my wife was doing 3-5 mph under the speed limit for the test. Again, completely not called for, nor incorrect. I thought my wife was exaggerating what happened until I watched the dashcam (highly recommend everyone get one). Regyna is an incredibly rude and miserable person that should never be able to do this job. Do not take your test with her
Fantastic experience: My nervous son had Trisha from the Tecumseh location. We could not have asked for a better tester! She made my son less nervous and it was a pleasant experience. She is definitely in the right field of work! A great people person and makes a nervous situation less scary.
Negative experience: I went here and I got a older lady and she was very mean and left before I was done parking and had someone else grade me. Her parking spot were not enough room. I went somewhere else and I passed with flying colors so I'm not bad at parking or driving. It really seem like it was kinda on purpose for me to fail my first time with them. Or she just didn't seem to care? I'm not really sure but I didn't have a very great experience with them.
Fantastic experience: Even though my son did not pass his road test the instructor was extremely calm, patient and gave my son good feedback. I will reschedule his test with them and recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Laura was my drivers test examiner nd she was very nice nd helpful with my test nd helped me succeed
Fantastic experience: We drove with Laura at the Jackson location. She did a great job of putting myself and son at ease. She was easy going, knowledgeable, and made the experience a positive one! I will be taking my other children back to test with her.
Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Trisha at the Tecumseh location. She’s so calm, helped my anxious teen. She was pleasant through the process and organized.
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend A & A testing, wonderful and helpful people!
Fantastic experience: Called here Monday to schedule my daughters road test she answered as soon as I started leaving a voicemail, Sandy picked up the phone scheduled it for Tuesday , we showed up early she was already there, took her time with my daughter because she was so nervous, I was referred by acceler8 who did my daughters road test prep course, I read all the bad reviews and still gave it a shot and honestly she did not disappoint at all, they also do cdl testing there. Honestly price was fair and paid on site with cash. Took about 45 min to do the test, don’t read all the bad reviews. Give Sandy a call at the Jackson location.
Negative experience: Review is for the tecumseh location. I had used this company twice for my children's road tests. first time was amazing. second time the woman was a little off putting but no big deal. went to use them again this week for my final kiddo's road test. no way. the woman was so very rude when I said I couldn't take my kiddo out of school during the week for a road test. she was very passive aggressive and snarky. I ended up scheduling somewhere else. I had heard from others that the woman Laura at the tecumseh location was beyond rude but thought I'd try. 0/10 would NOT recommend
Fantastic experience: Recently tested here and was very nervous while taking the test for my license, in all honesty I was unsure at first if I wanted to test with a&a because of all the bad reviews however the instructor was nice and very informative, so take the bad reviews with a grain of salt.
Negative experience: The lady went to the wrong spot and played dumb… obvious scam
Negative experience: I don’t recommend anybody to go through this company it’s a complete joke and a waste of money and the test instructors are awfully rude and non helpful
Negative experience: Wouldn’t even give them one star but had no choice. Rip off place taking hard earned money from HONEST people. The girls there are not professional they are rude and lie when questioned about what they told him. The owner is very dishonest and disrespectful when confronted all she could do is call me a liar. They told my husband they can flunk him as many times as they want and take his $200 each time and laughed about it told him they’d pass him if he went to their schooling. When calling office the “owner” told us there is no schooling that they offer. So are they or aren’t they a school because your instructor Reygna is telling him to do it and she’d pass him? After reading all the bad reviews and comments he will be taking it else where with a honest caring company that don’t get enjoyment from taking honest peoples money and lie when confronted. So if you are looking for a Cdl testing in Jackson KEEP LOOKING DONT GO HERE waste of time and money because I guarantee you will not pass it here he’s not the only one who has gotten 5 minutes into the test and flunked 2 times with these girls then laughed at.
Negative experience: Terrible Experience - No communication, Wasted the morning. Arrived early as instructed, but did not know where to go in the large bowling alley parking area (two entrances off W Michigan Ave). Entered from the west and parked in front of bowling alley (arrived 15 minutes early). Waited until start time, still no signs or staff (although moderate traffic through the bowling alley where we parked). Called and left message at appointment start time. Waited until 15 minutes after start time, called again and left second message, still no staff or return phone call. Then drove around the backside bowling alley, to find on east side of parking lot an A&A trailer and cones in the southeast corner of lot (at least 200 yards from where we had parked originally, and not seen from the bowling alley traffic/parking). Called a third time and left message. At 30 minutes past the official start time, a car and instructor arrived. Instructor is not the business owner, and does not have connection to the phone number on the business website. Instructor said we were not in the correct location and had missed our 10-minute window. Instructor had other spots scheduled throughout the day and no space to fit us in, as we had "missed" our scheduled space (arriving 15 minutes early...). Meanwhile my daughter who has been waiting now in the parking lot for 45 minutes is in tears as we've scheduled this 2-months in advance. Now 2-hours after the appointment, back home, and owner still hasn't returned my 3 phone calls. Horrible customer service. Recommend to any potential customers: go to the southeast corner of the bowling alley parking lot, behind the Little Caesars restaurant. Recommend to business owner: Answer your phone. Post and communicate directions/location to where you expect people to arrive. Give your instructor the phone number of your students, so instructor could call them in case they are not in the expected location.
Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional. And over priced save yourself some time and don't hire her
Negative experience: Horrible communication and does not answer the phone
Negative experience: Completely shocked by the unprofessionalism on display here. I took half a day off of work to attend my driving test and arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment as directed and parked next to the trailer labelled A&A Training and Testing and the car with the AATEST1 license plate. We then proceeded to wait 30 minutes and call 2x before finally receiving a call by the instructor telling us that WE were late and we could no longer take the test. Turns out the instructor was sitting in her car across the parking lot looking at our car parked next to hers and never thought to call us to confirm our appointment. I've rarely seen such poor customer service and would recommend everyone look elsewhere.
Negative experience: Horrible communication, and no signage. We got there 10 mins ahead of time with no information on where to meet, and she did not pick up my call 10 mins before the appointment time. So we parked next to the A&A branded trailer and waited for someone. Finally called again 10 mins after the appointment was supposed to start, she let it ring only twice and I left a message explaining where we were and how long we'd been there. A couple mins later she finally calls back and refuses to start the test because we were late - by this point it was nearly 15 mins after the appointment time. Maybe if she'd picked up the first call like a professional this could have all been avoided. If you don't want to answer your phone maybe you shouldn't be in business. Very frustrating waste of time.
Fantastic experience: I took my road test yesterday, and I was super nervous but I drove with instructor Regyna, and she was super nice and was able to help calm me down. They also are very helpful with trying to get you in on a testing date. Also, I rented their car out to take the test which was great!!! Highly recommend them!
Fantastic experience: We had a great experience testing here! The staff was kind and calm which helps stressed kids relax a bit! I will definitely recommend to our friends! Scheduling was easy, too which is a bonus!
Fantastic experience: The best place is that they have a very nice girl, unfortunately I don't remember her name, but she was very nice in her dealings and the most important thing that makes you love this place is their treatment of the most wonderful. Sometimes when you go to the exam, you are a bit nervous, but this girl has a very nice style to make you not nervous, the most helpful thing Those who are experiencing are calm and non-stress, and this girl has experience in this field, and I also like to note that she helps you with the psychological factor, but does not help you in something you do wrong, just to remind so that no one says that I am a liar. She does not help in something you did wrong.
Fantastic experience: We've used this place 3 times for testing and had a great experience. Very friendly and efficient!!!
Fantastic experience: Very friendly, yet fair testing service. Have used multiple times for family members and have zero complaints. The Jackson rep was very responsive and easy to work with on appointments. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Awsome lady would recommend her great pricing good communication friendly and makes you feel comftrable
Fantastic experience: They were easy going and friendly. Put my son at ease. I've heard nothing but good things about A&A. Now I'm taking my nephew here. My best friend brought her son here and she also had a great experience. I recommended them to her and she was pleased.
Fantastic experience: She was amazing. Very friendly, professional, and put me right at ease. I was extremely nervous as I had failed before but she was very kind making it easier for me to concentrate. Would definitely choose her over any of the other places in town.
Fantastic experience: Sandy was really nice and helped out a lot through the test if i had to recommend a drivers road test 10/10 go there
Negative experience: I was incredibly nervous going in and went over the six points on the y turn test. The instructor skipped parts of the safety inspection and made me uncomfortable with her stand offish attitude. in spite of this, I passed with 1-2 points on blind parallel parking and the forward stop line test, yet I didn’t get a second shot and they took my $60 without even going on the road. Don’t go here.
Fantastic experience: Very nice, did a good job at making my daughter more comfortable. Did a good job with feedback and completion of road test.
Negative experience: Have a reputation of failing drivers to get a second test out of them. Can’t fail a driver and then praise them about their driving. A nervous 16 year old shouldn’t be failed for running a yellow light in a high traffic area. Then tells us she would rather have them slam on the breaks even if she slammed her head into the he dash board. Makes absolutely no sense! Not the only one that has said they got failed their for very minor things and drove worse second test and got passed!
Fantastic experience: Very nice and professional. Price was better than anticipated.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend A&A training and testing! My instructor Susan was amazing!
