Road Star Driving School
Road Star Driving School, located in Lafayette, Indiana, stands as the state's largest driving school, having successfully taught over 5000 students safe and confident driving since 2003. We offer both online and in-person courses, catering to the diverse learning styles of our students, whether they are young learners or adults.
Our online course allows students to complete the theoretical portion of driver education from the comfort of their own home, providing the flexibility to progress at their own pace while fulfilling the required 30 classroom hours. On the other hand, the traditional course offers the chance to learn face-to-face with professional instructors, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.
Additionally, we provide a 'drives only' package for those who have completed the online course and just need to finish their driving hours, as well as a specialized service to prepare students for the Skills Drive Test, the practical exam that qualifies them for their driver's license.
At Road Star Driving School, each of our instructors is certified and experienced to guide students on their journey toward obtaining their driving license. Together, we help you get safely on the road!

Fantastic experience: Test was fair
Fantastic experience: Road Star Driving School provided me with an excellent learning experience. My instructor, Brian Singer, demonstrated professionalism and delivered clear, concise instruction. The administrative staff were equally helpful, responding promptly and patiently to all inquiries. I highly recommend Road Star to prospective drivers.
Negative experience: really bad experience with them. I booked a 6 hour driving lesson and each lesson seems to be going really well and the instructor seems to be really friendly saying u are doing really well except u need to improve on this and that, and u need to practice. And when I go there at my fifth lesson, the instructor just said do u practice for 6-9h without us. I was just shocked and no one told me that, and no one told me that before, they just say practice and who the hell know practice with them or practice without them. There is no warning or anything else saying the world ‘practice’ means practice by yourself. They expect u to do a comprehension test on each word they said.
Negative experience: So far not happy. As others have said, you can’t see the driving schedule until paying which is very shady. But when you do pay, the only times available are during school hours, making it impossible for a student enrolled in school to do. I guess the reason the summer is their “busy season” is because it is the ONLY time available unless you are homeschooled. Asking my credit card to cancel payment. It stinks because the only other option appears to be completely full.
Fantastic experience: Brian Singer is a good instructor!
