Negative experience: Took almost exactly a month to receive my official transcripts that were supposed to be sent out within two weeks of payment. Well those two weeks came and went..and I waited...finally I called a couple days ago to see if there was a misunderstanding only to be told that their system had been compromised shortly after my payment was received and that caused a delay in mailing. Never was I notified of said delay from Bates in any way until I reached out wondering where my transcripts ran off to. In addition I was told they were shipped out on the 25th of July (I called the 7th of August) so I was ready to chalk it up as a mailing fluke and just pay the money for another copy when low and behold guess what came in the mail today! With a postage date of AUGUST 6TH. My payment was processed on the 9th of July and I did not receive them until August 8th. Thankfully I was warned from my instructor not to pay for expedited shipping since clearly they have had similar issues with timeliness in the past.

Negative experience: This school means nothing but money , I started at bates last year 2018 Lpn program. To make long story short after I I complete my first quarter I sow one of my class grades was 3.16 after teachers graded the final project, Then I want to talked to the teacher why my grades were low She replied to me very meanly and she discouraged me since I have low grades I will withdraw me from the program and she told me that I don’t have to complete the Lpn program. The minute she told me that I want home I look another school and I applied, Then the next day they called me. I started and I became Lpn. in That schoo the teacher should be incourageous us but not discouraged us. since then I never be at that school.

Negative experience: Dana Mcnutt is a teacher I had in the 21 High School program and when I went to turn in my commencement form to be signed she then told me I wasn’t in the program calling me a liar proceeded to say “no you’re not since when” damn near yelling and says that she’s in the middle of training someone..basically talking down to me...finally saw that I was graduated and signed my papers. I think a write up is necessary.. this was inexcusable and she also acted like this in front of the teacher she was training and my girlfriend. Such an embarrassing thing to happen when I was so excited to get everything in order to graduate.

Fantastic experience: My review is in regards the ECEAP Departament: I went to pick up a friend a few times. The area and room are extremely clean and organized. The staff is helpful, professional and most important loving to the children. their security stuff ensures that children are safe I will definitely trust him with my own children.

Positive experience: Seems not growing college, stagnation is everywhere. Old stuff. Time to renovate building and stuff. Need more attractive advertising outside. When you reach there it is easy to read bate parking, but not easy to read real main building entrance. By mistake if you entered in parking lot, you will be really upset that all parking ate reserved for someone from staff. For new visitors have to park curbside or in nearby paid parking lot. From my experience they don't have any parking. However wheelchair accessible facility.

Negative experience: The worst service I've ever seen from a front desk - the ladies here were rude, insulting, and patronizing! The whole time I asked basic directional questions they took on a mocking tone while not actually knowing the answers to my questions. If this is how they treat customers for their services, I can't imagine how horribly this private scam college treats students!

Negative experience: I attended the welding course there and was harassed by the self centered teacher. He would lift his feet and rub the bottom of his shoe on me in front of the class. Other times he would get in front of class and stress out. He was unstable. What a scumbag. Financial aid would avoid me and not answer the phone. For this reason I got no financial aid for the semester. The staff are rude and appear to be depressed. The student is a customer paying out of pocket. No one there sees the connection between the student and paying the light bill.

Negative experience: Waste of time and money. Learned nothing from the instructors. They would spend an entire class day of reading the same pages we already read. The teachers were illiterate and unable to pronounce basic medical terminology. And in turn we were expected to practice our trade with little to no instructions. Expectations were never fully clear causing lots of stress. Basically paid a ton of money to teach myself how to do phlebotomy. Could have just paid for the book and saved myself a few hundred. Don't recommend to anyone. Waste of time and money. The instructors never took the class seriously from the beginning. We would be let out early because the teachers were too lazy to be there a little longer. I was also told on multiple occasions to "Google it" when I had a legitimate question. Not even going to talk about the entire back of the campus being a feasting ground for a million homeless camps. No. No No

Negative experience: This school was a waste of time and money. My friend and I went to the downtown campus for a summer phlebotomy program. First, there is a homeless camp on the campus and the crime rate is high with many assaults. The two instructors were awful. They didn't take the time to do real lectures. They googled the subject and read other people's notes. They couldn't even pronounce half of the medical terms they were supposed to be teaching us. When they read out of the book, they directed us to wrong pages and read too fast to even jot down a few notes. They would let class out early every night before we started clinical because they didn't want to be in the classroom themselves. One of the instructors got into an argument with my friend and held me behind with my friend and got into a yelling argument with her. I had to break the fight up myself. Then the teacher proceeded to talk bad about my friend to me. I had to explain to the teacher that I was there to learn and not listen to her personal issues with people. It was very unprofessional. Once we started clinical, they rushed us into drawing from real arms. They had expected us to draw on real arms the night we started practicing on fake arms. When I asked one of the instructors to shadow me, she said, "You know, I won't be here to hold your hand every time." When we asked them questions, that same instructor told us to google the answer. I felt like there was no point in even going to school when I could essentially learn everything myself at home. These two instructors taught me absolutely nothing. I eventually gave up because I was tired of leaving class in tear feeling stressed out about not learning anything. This was a horrible experience that cost me $700 and a summer I will never get back. Save yourself the time and money and choose a different school.

Negative experience: Disgusting service! I had a few question and the representative started arguing, becoming impatient with me. I don't think Bates will be hearing from me again

TS 10 years ago

Negative experience: Don't even have parking. It's always full. They pretty much just expect you to pay to park down the road or walk. The staff isn't helpful at all. Don't. Go. There...
