Fantastic experience: I took lessons from Max, who was incredibly patient and answered every question I had. In my opinion, he's one of the best instructors in the Bay Area. He instills safe driving practices, ensuring you not only perform well on your test but also drive safely in everyday life. I had previously tried a few instructors, but unfortunately, they were either too discouraging or rude. Max made the whole experience of learning to drive enjoyable. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn driving the right way while also having fun.

Fantastic experience: I am a newbie in driving and I recently passed my driving test on my first try. I owe a huge thanks to my instructor, Max, for his exceptional guidance and support throughout my learning journey. Max helped me build confidence behind the wheel. His teaching style was patient and encouraging, making every lesson both informative and enjoyable. He provided clear instructions and practical tips that were easy to understand and apply. It was also easy to booked appointment in their website and they sent email reminders a day before your appointment. Max always arrived on the pick up location on time. He is very professional and punctual. His encouragement and belief in my abilities played a significant role in passing my driving test. I highly recommend Max to anyone looking to learn how to drive with confidence and competence.

Fantastic experience: Max is one of the best driving instructors I have ever met. I was a newbie to the world of driving when I came across jumpstart driving school that was recommended by my friends. Max is extremely organized and methodical which helped me clearly learn techniques and gain confidence as I practiced more. He also never misses the instructions. His repeated instructions and keen observation on what requires improvement in driving helped with my practice a lot. my DMV exam went well because of his teaching. I highly recommend Max for all age groups to learn driving the right and safe way.

Fantastic experience: This teacher was very professional and the best part was he had a lot of patience and never raised his voice at me once. When I first started driving he could tell I was nervous and would ask if I'm okay, he's really cool and fun to talk to. Most importantly he taught me a lot and helped me pass my test, he also helped me overcome my fear of driving. Overall I would recommend this guy 100% and if for some reason I forgot how to drive I would pay driving classes with him again.

Fantastic experience: Max is an excellent driving instructor. I have had 3 instructors in the bay area with a different company and Max has been by far the most helpful and ensured I was driving perfectly to pass my test. Having previously failed, after Max's instruction I was able to pass my test with zero errors. His instruction on what to do in each situation was very clear and helped me to feel calm and confident. Negative experience: I would not recommend this place to anyone. Although Max did do a good job when it came down to the driving practice, he made inappropriate and rude comments (political, etc.), which made my child feel extremely uncomfortable. The way he acted was not professional or okay at all, especially for the price you have to pay for each lesson, 175 dollars!

Fantastic experience: Max is an exceptionally good instructor. The lessons progressed slowly and methodically. He understood clearly through what stages he should take me to polish my driving skills. I am a first time driver and of advanced age but his training helped me to pass at the first attempt. I am grateful to him for it. Remember that your training may not end with the lessons you signed up for. I had to take a few more because he felt I was not fully ready. This was truly helpful. Fantastic experience: Max was great for our son (18+). We were not able to teach him ourselves. It took him 4 weeks intensive lessons from 0 to driving license ( passed first time). Easy online schedule was very helpful and Max was always on time for the appointment and very responsive.

Negative experience: The lady was rude, and said everything I did was wrong. She refused to continue the lesson, and she was saying "No" all the time. Her directions on where to go was very late. I need a better driving teacher that is nice. The lady also rescheduled 30 minutes later.

Fantastic experience: Coming from Canada, I went to take the test to get my California driver's license. The instructor's advice was very valuable, even as a refresher, and he was super knowledgeable about the DMV course.

Fantastic experience: Max is an excellent teacher. Always very relaxed and calm. Never yells at you for making a mistake, instead corrects you by showing the right way. He knows the city routes and streets very well. He will make you drive around the city to improve your skills and confidence. After taking classes with him, I passed my driving test in the first attempt!!! Highly recommend him if you never drove before or want to improve your driving.

Fantastic experience: Max's teaching method is very effective. I got useful and specific feedback in all the classes that helped improve my driving ability and build confidence. He provides clear information on all the aspects evaluated in the driving test so you can practice with confidence and be ready. Due to high demand, it was hard for me to find open slots for driving lessons in general. But Max coordinated with me and ensured that I have timely practice sessions till I take the test. My test was early in the morning, so Max mentioned about potential sun rays blocking my view and suggested I take sunglasses along. Without his attention to detail and careful advice, I would have been caught off guard. Thanks Max for helping me learn driving and get the license! Really appreciate it.

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful I found Jumpstart Driving school. I was looking for a Driving instructor, who not just takes students to Santa Clara, but also to Los Gatos and San Jose DMVs. I found out about Jumpstart through a Google search, and connected with Max. I needed continuous driving sessions, and Max was super accommodative in arranging slots as per my convenience. As I started my Driving sessions with him, I saw that each day he was so prompt in coming at the exact time mentioned in the schedule. When it comes to driving, it is not just about having control on the car, but also about feeling confident. Max made me feel so comfortable with the car, and boosted my confidence. He made sure that I enjoyed driving. Also, he took me to San Jose DMV and with his last minute tips, I passed the test and got my license. Fantastic experience: Booked a 10 hr package with jumpstart along with the pre test lesson. Hadn't driven in America before, so was nervous at the start - especially since I'd heard that they don't go easy on you at CA DMVs. I was shaky at first, but soon got into the groove thanks in big part to Max. He was very patient and respectful, he answered all my questions and gave me valuable feedback on my maneuvers as I was driving. He prepared me for exactly what I needed to pass the test. I should add that their safety precautions are top notch when it comes to temperature checks and sanitizing the car before you drive. Mahasty's pre-test instruction was super valuable as I was nervous before the test. She gave me some very useful last minute pointers for the exam that certainly helped calm those nerves! I passed on my first attempt with flying colors. All in all, highly recommend JumpStart if you're a beginner learning to drive in the Bay Area.

Fantastic experience: My son immediately shared that Max was very patient, helpful and sincere. Since he knows what is expected on the DMV test, Max made sure to cover the details of the test during my son's first driving lesson. Further, Max was punctual. He even went out of his way to reschedule an earlier date for our convenience! Moreover, he was completely thorough in ensuring the safety of my son. I could tell right away that he had taken the recommendations from the Center for Disease to heart. Not only was my son's temperature taken before the lesson, but Max took his own temperature as well. Afterward, Max covered the seat with plastic and thoroughly sprayed the inside of the car. Fantastic experience: Thanks to Jumpstart, I cleared my driving test today! Max is a great instructor, very patient and friendly. He doesn't get annoyed with our repetitive mistakes and understands the student's perspective. He focuses especially on the student's improvement areas and customizes the lessons accordingly. I was so scared about my test and Max dispelled those fears. He begins each class as in a test with hands signals and other criteria so you feel pretty comfortable during the test. He appreciates how we fare well during each class. I would definitely recommend Jumpstart to beginners!

Fantastic experience: I have taken 2-3 classes with Max recently and apart from what I have experienced, Max had provided very useful tips. I had passed my driving test for the first time, because I was able to get the full awareness, focus, and even confidence from Max. He went beyond what was required for the driving test by explaining tips and mentioning useful situations that are not even experienced on the driving test!

Fantastic experience: I took 5 sessions and a test day assist course with Max and passed driving test the first time as a new driver. I initially only booked one class with jumpstart because they have the earliest available slot on a working day morning, but Max's patience and his knowledgable presence convinced me to book much more. Specifically, he knows the in and out of driving test and would constantly give you pointers on things to look out. His attention to detail and his personality quickly calmed my nerve as a first time driver and I gained a lot of confidence in driving as a result. He also made sure to provide feedback at the end of each class to make sure I understand my progress and area of improvements. I would also echo others' comment on how he emphasize on good driving habit and would even mention how to make decisions base on observations of driver behind. Overall I'm very satisfied with my experience and would definitely recommend him to any new drivers.

Fantastic experience: Great learning, I've learned a lot and improved a lot of driving skills. Max is very kind and helpful. I enjoyed talking to a driving instructor! After his training, I passed my test. Generally, this school is highly recommended. I've taken five lessons. I learn something in every lesson, and every week he tests and gives me a ranking. It felt like it was a real driving test. And I went to a check that I could drive comfortably and PASSED the driving test. DMV California If you work for any of the big tech companies, you should take a class here.

Fantastic experience: Mahasty and Max taught me a LOT about driving laws and things to look out for while in urban areas. They were both practical and punctual. They even came to pick me up and then drop me at my office for driving lessons. I also took my driving exam using their car and I finally passed! I have no idea what one of the users is talking about in their review, I had a great experience with both, Mahasty and Max. Highly recommended if you are a first time driver or are new to the states.

Fantastic experience: I had to re-take my driving test after moving here and despite having driven before, I lacked confidence on the road. I called Max about a week before my test and he tried his best to accommodate me into his schedule. I was able to take one full lesson and a pre-dmv test lesson with him, which were both great and helped me to pass! Max is an encouraging teacher and boosted my confidence immensely. Thanks Max! Fantastic experience: Both Mahasti and Max did a very good job with instructing me how to properly drive. I took the test multiple times before and failed but when i signed up for their driving classes, Finally I got my license, I am very well pleased with how professional they are and how they accomodated my request on such notice. Negative experience: PLEASE AVOID IF POSSIBLE I spent around 6 hours driving with Max. I also used his dmv appointment booking and concierge service. Here is my review - 1] He keeps hanging up on you during phone calls while you are still talking. This happened on almost every occasion, which can't be a mistake. He keeps pretending that he is very busy and will unnecessarily try and finish conversations within a few seconds before abruptly hanging up. 2] I found him to be a very impatient driving instructor. He will shout at you, even swear at you when you make mistakes. He is a naturally frustrated person. Conversations with him were never pleasant. 3] He is not interested in answering your doubts. His responses to your questions will be - OBVIOUSLY, NO....... or even ignoring the question completely sometimes. I stopped asking him questions because of this. 4] I saw someone else posting this same review. I second that. He keeps unnecessary grabbing the steering wheel and applying his breaks even if you are an experienced driver with enough control over the vehicle and know how to drive. This makes you lose momentum and focus. He really needs to work on his teaching approach for experienced drivers. Not everyone can be taught in the same way.

Fantastic experience: Jumpstart came with a referral from a friend. Max worked with our 16 year old son. Had him driving on the freeway in no time! When we asked for extra lessons, though he said he wouldn't mind, but told us we didn't need them. Appreciated the honesty. Paid for the Pre-DMV lesson and had my son take the test in their car. Totally worth it! Passed at DMV Santa Teresa the first time!

Fantastic experience: I needed a qualified CA driver to accompany me to my behind the wheel test. I'm an expat and was already driving on a foreign license, with over 10 years of experience.
