Fantastic experience: I recently just got my license and driving experience through them and I’m so grateful. My instructor was so patient and supportive and I’m thankful that I got my license before the snow hit. I recommend using them to learn how to drive!

Fantastic experience: This driving school was reasonably priced and honestly a great learning experience. I took a lesson right before my test and the instructor told me everything I needed to improve on. Took the test and passed nice and easy! Tasha was patient with me and told me the things I need to look out for when driving after I passed. Would recommend to anyone looking to get their license, very friendly crew

Fantastic experience: I had a really good experience with this driving school. They were patient with me the whole way through and made sure I felt comfortable learning at my own pace. At the same time, they helped me pick things up faster than I expected, which gave me a lot of confidence. The instructor also shared some really helpful tips and tricks that made driving feel less stressful. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone learning how to drive.

Fantastic experience: This driving school is wonderful. The instructors and every employee are patient, kind, and attentive. They take the time to watch you drive and fix any bad habits they see. They make sure that we are fully prepared to drive safely on the road.They make the lessons a safe place to learn where you don't have to worry about making mistakes. They are there to help you feel better. I really liked the experience, and I would recommend them to anyone. God bless them!

Fantastic experience: 1. The only place in Anchorage that can issue your DMV liscence and on the same day, call ahead or not, fast help / service. 2. You can use one of their vehicles for the test, yes there are fees, but worth it depending on your circumstances. 3. Decent staff that know their job, seem to care and want you to obtain your liscence by being a safe drive.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school, they want to make sure their students are ready to drive safe. They also offer road test for the DMV. Instead of scheduling with the DMV ( in my situation 2 months wait) you can schedule it there for a little extra fee, but without the long wait ( next day! ) They also offer driving lesson. My child had the permit but needed the road test, I wanted to make sure she was ready and they offer driving lesson before the road test. So my child did driving lesson and based on the instructors feedback if she was ready or needed additional driving lessons. She passed with no issues. Thank you for the amazing instructor! As a parent my focus is not on passing, but having a child who is a safe driver. I highly recommend this driving school. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had amazing experience at AK Daniel. Whether it be their driving school or their DMV Tags and Titles. Would recommend to anyone. Get my tags done with them all the time and it is always a quick friendly service.

Negative experience: Went there with a friend for them to do the test. Nice people, but auto failed my friend on parallel parking. Plus they seemed to have docked him on not knowing the lay out of the schools car. Not all cars are set up the same. Go to other places for your test, there are also places that do not do parallel parking as part of the test.

Negative experience: Horrible services, this is my 3rd time going there and they didn’t pass my test for simple reason, they didn’t let me drive for even 3 minutes and they always tell me to come back next Saturday they only didn’t pass me so I can pay next time.

Fantastic experience: Schedule: flexible -they were very mindful for my work hours, so we did night driving lessons Driving Lessons: tried variety situations, corners, parking etc. Instructor: very calm and insightful at the same time. Practice to remember to check speed limits and what I am lacking of helped me through driving test. A lot of little reminders and tips for driving was given. Overall, totally recommend here for beginners

Fantastic experience: AK Daniel Driving School staff were so pleasant and helpful. Once road test was completed (and passed, yay!) we were able to obtain a Real ID drivers license there. We had the option of using their vehicle for the road test or our own. They also allowed us to practice parallel parking in their lot. They had a very convenient schedule for the road test when other places were either closed or booked for months out. It was very helpful to text with the staff, too.

Fantastic experience: It was an honor to get my first license here. The service and the people are incredible! I had a very good time and learned so much during the driving course, and when it came down to my road exam I passed!! I recommend this DMV to anyone interested for any of the service this place provides.

Fantastic experience: AK Daniel Driving School helped my needs quickly and with quality. It was only a 1 day turnaround to schedule for a road test. They are open when the DMV is closed, and they are up-to-speed with today's communication (example: texting to set up appts). Thank you! I highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: Instructor did NOT fasten his seatbelt while instructing. He repeatedly berated rather then giving constructive feedback.

Fantastic experience: Wow wow wow, how does one even begin to describe the service I received since day 1 when I walked in to ask about getting a road test done and to the day I walked in to take my road test they did their utter best to accommodate me ,the staff were so helpful and so attentive they put you first and treat you with such humbleness and kindness .I am forever grateful for them and I would highly recommend them for all your driving needs .Thank you so much to all the staff for all you do :)

Fantastic experience: Super easy to work with.

Negative experience: I recently accompanied my 16-year-old son for his driving test, which was conducted during a period of heavy snowfall, at 3:30 PM—coinciding with rush hour. Despite the challenging weather conditions, my son was attentive to the road and prioritized safety, driving below the speed limit. To our dismay, the examiner failed him for not meeting the speed limit, which is 45 mph under normal conditions. It's important to note that during the test, a police car was following them, and at no point did the police deem it necessary to stop my son, indicating his driving was within safe parameters given the circumstances. I'm disappointed by the examiner's decision to prioritize speed over safety, particularly for a young, inexperienced driver facing the added pressure of inclement weather and the presence of law enforcement. This shows a disregard for the spirit of driving laws, which are designed to adapt to conditions and ensure the safety of all road users. I'm left with no other explanation for my son's failure other than his cautious approach. As such, I'm compelled to rate our experience with a single star. I believe driving assessments should fairly consider weather and road conditions, especially when dealing with young, inexperienced drivers.
