Fantastic experience: Stand up company. I will definitely be riding their events!
Fantastic experience: Super fun time
Fantastic experience: Such an amazing program, my first time on the track was last weekend and it went great. It was a ton of fun and I learned alot. All of the instructors were so helpful and so happy to help everyone get better. I will definitely be going again soon.
Fantastic experience: Did my first track day with Z2 on 6/19. Everything was very well explained and the whole day went very smooth. The classroom sessions with Alan were fun and VERY helpful. All of the Z2 staff were very professional and friendly. I enjoyed following the instructors around the track, definitely made learning the 5 mile track easier! I’m looking forward to doing another day with them soon.
Positive experience: I rode 2 events with Z2 this year. Overall these days went really well for me and the people I rode with. I rode in B group each time. Both events at T-Hill East. The most recent day, B group was very slow but I used the opportunity to work on making clean, safe passes while still being somewhat aggressive. The instructors did a good job and had a clear presence on track. Rider's meeting was straight-forward. Vendor support was strong (suspension, tire, pictures, yamaha demos, ride like a pro, LEOD moto escapes, etc.). I did only give them 4 stars for one reason, and that was grid management. Both events had the same issue: the grid managers let people out way too fast so you tended to have heavy traffic build up/large congestion points in B group as the B group is the widest in terms of skill level. If I had a suggestion, it would be "let out 5-6 riders and wait until those riders are around turn 1 or in between turn 1 and turn 2 before letting the next group out. That way we won't end up with groups of 10-12 riders in turn 5, causing potential safety issues." If I got caught in this situation, I typically just ran into the hot pit to give myself space between those riders. I just feel it's avoidable through better grid mgmt. I guess the other solution is to book a lower amount of riders in B group, but that's more of a financial liability so grid mgmt is probably the way to go. That said, Z2 is a professional organization with a desire to keep you safe and provide lots of cool events. Women's Appreciation Day, Yamaha Demo Days, etc. all add up to events that feel like they're more than just another track day. I ride with several different track day providers and my days with Z2 were among the best. Much appreciated!
