Negative experience: Frankly avoid if you don't want to lose your money on minor issues. The instructor was very rude and disparaging.

Negative experience: I usually don’t post reviews, but I write this out of concern that someone in the future will have an experience as bad as mine. If you’re tight on money, please don’t risk taking a lesson here. In no circumstance will they refund you; other reviews reflect this as well. I took the beginner course, considering it was advertised as not requiring any riding experience. I was so excited to learn how to maneuver a bike, but quickly learned this isn’t the experience I was hoping for. I dropped my bike 10 times (which is very abnormal) and injured myself, but the instructors were too busy watching other students to give me any constructive feedback. To be exact, they weren’t offering feedback to any of their students, just watching them do the drills. Although not as much as I was, it was obvious that many of the students were struggling with this course, as they were constantly losing balance and stalling their bikes during the drills. I’m sure this is fine in a parking lot, but I really don’t think it’s safe for these students to be riding like this out on the road. I would expect the instructors to at least tell them why their motorcycles are stalling and teach them how to prevent it. As someone who could barely flat-foot one foot (while classmates were flat-footing both feet), I didn’t have the luxury of using my height to save me from falling and dropping my bike. After 2 hours, I finally approached one of the instructors, asking if I could be transferred over to the introductory class. The instructors were very nice; I was very appreciative that I was not being yelled at for dropping my bike this many times, but I was far too overwhelmed to be starting drills on shifting to third gear. He gave me a form to fill out as documentation of why I’m dropping the class early and suggested I call the office on a weekday to see if they can get me transferred over. He never mentioned that I will not be allowed a refund nor that I will have to pay a second time to be transferred over. The Tuesday after, I called the office and talked with Skylar, a very condescending and rude representative. She questioned if I had even read the class description and stated that I will not be receiving a refund. I asked for her to check if a request had been made to transfer me to a different class by the instructor. She told me that this hasn’t been done and I will have to pay the full amount for the separate class via text. This means I lost $350 simply because I wasn’t told this information until it was too late. I responded, asking why the instructor asked me to fill out the form if they were never going to transfer me to a different class, but was left on read. I’ll be taking my classes at WMST from now on, and I’ll be sure to warn any of my friends who are interested in taking motorcycle classes to steer clear of this organization. To reiterate, this organization, especially its management, will not help you.

Negative experience: Honestly, I took a course with them a few years ago now, and it was a horrible experience. There are not many licensing courses in the area, so I was a bit nervous to post my honest opinion in the past. Firstly, the educator I had was extremely openly racist during the classroom phases. At one point he asked if anybody had ridden or been licensed in another country, and one of the persons in the class stated that they had, and that they were from India. For the rest of the classroom phases, any time something was shown as unsafe, the educator would look to this person to ask things such as, “isn’t this how they do it in India?” This was out of a number of comments made. Also extremely sexist, not just to me, but to the other two women in my class, as well. The lead educator continually attempted to intimidate me to the point that it was actively effecting my ability to concentrate and perform properly. This included yelling at me, making snide comments, and targeting me during both classroom and driving phases. I am still unsure as to why, as I was attentive, focused, and participating in all aspects of the class. It got to a point that it was difficult to ignore. I was even told that I was not “as good as the men,” and that I needed to take the “women’s class” instead. I retook the course, as I was not on time to my first course (five minutes late), due to a situation completely out of my control. I still appreciate the opportunity to do so. For my retaking of the course, I was sent the incorrect times for the classroom and driving phases. During the second day of the course, I was late because of this. When I entered the class, the educator spent a considerable amount of time berating me in front of everybody. Then loudly telling me that he would let me take the written test because I “wasn’t passing the course anyway,” and he “didn’t care.” After thoroughly degrading me, I could not concentrate, and ended up not passing the written test. While reviewing the test, he even went over one question, and said “and only one person got this wrong,” while staring at me dead in the eyes. I had misread it, and I did know the correct answer. When I was about to leave, he made a point to sarcastically ask me if I was “okay,” and attempted to speak to me like I was a child. Horrible experience, not just for me, but for my classmates as well, none of which appreciated any of the shared experiences. I had the opportunity to retest with them, but I have declined to do so.

Positive experience: Had a lousy first impression between scheduling and having a difficult time getting ahold of anyone VIA phone/text. Finally spoke with Matt, an instructor that explained the process in detail and even helped with scheduling. He was the instructor in Lacey and a lot more professional than the girls that run the phones.

Negative experience: So first off no one EVER answers the phone in the office during business hours. Then I get texted back almost immediately after leaving a message(this has happened 4x now). I asked for a refund after finding out I was unable to get endorsed due to other licensing issues. They promptly said there was a $25 processing fee and that I should see the refund within 10 business days. I haven’t gotten anything in over 3 weeks so I contacted them again, whoever was helping me was being kind of rude and super snarky and contradicting themselves. So idk, I’ll report back once I get my refund see how that goes lol but yeah these interactions haven’t been great. Just wish the person wasn’t being so snarky with their comments.

Negative experience: Business hours said it was open I checked and not a single soul was in there. Locked up and lights off. What was the point of even driving here for nothing.

Fantastic experience: Con: Their website and policies can be confusing. Pro: Great people. I had James and Kevin as my instructors for my motorcycle safety course in Tacoma. Amazing duo making the class fun and intresting. They were patient and straight forward people. Even with a large 12 - 15 person class they made it feel very personal and spent time with every student. Very knowledgeable people who care about teaching motorcycle safety and helping people succeed. James made both the riding and in-class parts of the courses fun and interactive always cracking jokes and telling stories. Most people passed the tests even though a 2 day beginner course is a short period to prepare and teach new riders everything they need to know.

Fantastic experience: Great experience! Even if you have some basic knowledge about how to operate a motorcycle, I would highly recommend this course. The instructors will help you get ready for your skills test in a fun and positive learning environment. Just make sure you bring all your gear and are willing to learn! Mr. James Winston was a great instructor (at the Tacoma location). Funny, smart and a great teacher.

Negative experience: The pale orange markers on the ground for the figure 8 test are the same colors as the leaves on the ground. Rode all the way from buckley in the rain and couldn't even get a second try.

Fantastic experience: The instructors in my Basic Motorcycle Training really exceeded my expectations. I am a 30-something lady and was one of just two women in a class of guys my age or younger. I was given everything I needed to become the skilled and safe rider that I am two months later. My MSF instructor Jim was really skillful in helping me get over an initial hurdle which required extra care and attention. After that, he masterfully leveraged a particular personality trait of mine in order to get me to level up and lead the pack for the rest of the course. Kevin also demostrated great skill, patience, and care in our classroom sessions and was the key to my success in passing the written permit exam. The school itself was prompt about uploading my exam scores to DOL so I could get permitted quickly. They were friendly and their classroom facilities were clean and well-equipped. The motorcycle they provided to me worked well and was the appropriate kind of bike to learn on. Once I got my own motorcycle and was riding on my own, I felt confident and well-prepared. Most importantly, I feel safe and have fun!

Fantastic experience: I’ve never ridden or driven a motorized two-wheeler before, so I was a bit out of my element. The two instructors I worked with, Jim and Roger, are very good at teaching. They’re very knowledgeable on safety and have a ton of experience. Needless to say, they got me to pass the permit tests within two days! The Basic Rider course teaches you everything you need to know to start cruising around your neighborhood or parking lot. Very excited to take their Returning Rider class to get my endorsement. Update: the Returning Rider course went well! Was able to pass and now have an endorsement.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for a Basic Skills class in Kirkland, WA. My instructor, Tim, was the best teacher I've met in my life. He's understanding, very easy to approach, and teaches the skills very well. I had a blast taking the two-day course and he made riding as a beginner a lot more fun and engaging.

Negative experience: I sent my teen to Basic Rider Training, a class which is advertised as being "for new riders". This was my students first time using a clutch and a couple hours in to the driver training he was still struggling with it. An instructor name Jason persuaded my son to quit the class asked him to sign something to indicate he was withdrawing from the course. Being a kid, he went along with it. Consequently my student missed out entirely on two days of classroom instruction and the second day of driver training. What a waste! There are many better ways this could have been handled by the instructor, the most obvious being to supply him with a motorcycle without a clutch and to encourage him to continue with the classroom training even if he protects of passing the riding skill test were not great. My son was humiliated and I'm not sure I will be able to rekindle his interest in getting his motorcycle enforcement.

Negative experience: Better hope you don't have a family emergency. They will not let you reschedule. I called a full week in advance and emailed them but couldn't get a hold of them until I tried calling 3 more times and yes during their open hours. Finally I was told, because it was only a week and not 10 days that I could not reschedule. I was not looking for a refund, just to take the class at a later date or possibly even just a discount off rescheduling but no... so now I'm out the money and still have to find somewhere else to take my motorcycle safety course through

Trevor Bidstrup 3 years ago

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I signed up for the $300 beginners motorcycle training in Kirkland w/ a guy named Tim (or Jim?). I arrived with a brand new helmet, gloves, and thick high walled shoes. Tim gave me one glance and told me he didn't like my shoes, and told me to go home and "call the office Monday to reschedule". Needless to say, it was quite the bummer after I had cleared my entire weekend for this course AND the shoes I had on were no shorter than anyone else's. I call the office Monday and then starts the chaos of going back and forth for 2 weeks trying to reschedule; this ultimately ends with someone named "Matthew" (no title distinction or last name in the email) saying I'm out of luck and WILL NEED TO PAY THE FULL FEE AGAIN TO RESCHEDULE. What did I even pay for?! How can they steal $300 because one guy thought my shoes were wrong?! This is hands down the WORST customer service I have ever received. This company is criminal. Add to all this that I'm a very tall rider (6'7") and this "Matthew" person informed me TWO WEEKS AFTER the course that none of the bikes are likely to fit me. My height is something I mentioned in my initial email - would had been nice to know BEFORE SPENDING $300!

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for the experience this class gave me. Jim was my instructor for the Basic Rider Training - Tacoma. He was an incredibly patient teacher, own class was a size of 6. He did a remarkable job helping each of us overcome the challenges we faced. Made sure to answer any and all questions we had. He was very personable and made my class a wonderful learning expericence. Thank you so much for your help. Keep up the good work. This man deserves a raise. -Izzy

Fantastic experience: Did the MSF course here back in June and did my endorsement tests through PSP. The two instructors I had for the MSF course were amazing: Jason and Greg (?). The two played off each other really well and I learned a lot from them with Jason being the younger rider with 15+ years of experience and Greg being the older rider with decades of experience. Made it feel as if my best friend and favorite uncle were teaching with one making sure I didn't feel pressured or anxious and the other providing great wisdom and knowledge. Both made sure the class was learning to their best of their abilities and the two throwing humor into the mix helped ease any tension the class may have been feeling during exercises that appeared intimidating. Highly recommended PSP for their classes and instructors! Will be taking advanced classes with PSP in the future as well.

Fantastic experience: I took the BRC last year (June 2020) - had NO experience riding anything other than a bicycle. I opted for the all-ladies class and was glad that I did. The cost of the class was comparable to other locations and availability was good - even with COVID shutdowns. For those bad reviews about communication, location and such - I found that although communication from their office lacks somewhat, you are responsible for your own self... call, ask about location, ask for directions, ask questions... Their office is in Puyallup - but that's not where the class was - it was somewhere in Lakewood/Steillacoom - an area that I am not familiar with.... so - I took it upon myself to drive to the location prior to the class date. That way I would know where to go... also - when the class starts at 8 am - always plan to be there earlier - always! it's just smart - you can never pre-anticipate traffic/delays and it's always better to be early than to be late. As for the instructor - mine was a female and she was really good (sorry - I can't remember her name). Right from the start she told us what the expectation was... drop your bike twice - you'll be asked to leave and have to retake the class. If you can't master the tasks, you will fail. The class is only so long and the instructor has to get through all the tasks within that time so they only have so much time to hold your hand. They can't stop the class to give you more time to master it. Sorry... Trust me - I was struggling but I felt my instructor was fair when she continued on to the next task. I knew where I was having difficulty and that was on me - not her. I somehow managed to pass the class with my permit and went on to practice, practice, practice and got my endorsement in October 2020. With more riding time under my belt on my own bike, I am now looking at taking their Street Skills 101 and 102 plus their Maintenance Course. The one skill I wish they'd teach is How to pick up your bike when you drop it. Otherwise, what a good selection of classes!

Larry Jordan 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Not what I expected. The instructors really care about the subject matter they instruct, and there is no condescending attitude when you make a mistake. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and very experienced about safety, techniques, the laws of the road, and more importantly, being a great teacher. I was a rider, way back in the day, so I enrolled in the intermediate class. I got brought up to speed, taught some new techniques (which were not part of any previous certification class I took in the past) and was awarded my license endorsement. I am going back for the motorcycle maintenance classes that they offer. Highly recommend to military veterans and their families. I used their bikes which are 250cc. They are reliable, LIGHT, and much better to test on than showing up with plus 750cc bike.

Fantastic experience: You can't put a price on life saving knowledge.. Both the instructors are really relatable and very knowledgeable people.... We will always remember Magic Jim and Veena ( I hope I didn't butcher her name).. I will see you again soon to further my education.

Bob Adamson 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Just finished up the Basic Rider Training course. Jim and Greg were great as instructors, serious when they needed to be but light hearted enough to take the edge off of what is already a fairly daunting exercise for a beginner rider. We got good practical seat time on the bikes and down to earth advise and guidance from veteran riders. If you have never been on a bike before, you can start with the Basic Rider course but I would probably recommend the Intro to Riding course first. Our first day was right on the bikes and there was a basic assumption that you knew what a clutch is, where the throttle is, brakes, how the gear lever works, etc. Overall, very good experience and will be considering some of the more advanced courses as well as a result.

Fantastic experience: James and Greg are awesome, they make it fun, relaxing and very informative. In the classroom Jim gave us tons of priceless literally lifesaving information from decades of motorcycling experience. If you are new and want to get into motorcycles you absolutely need this class.

Fantastic experience: Jim and Greg were knowledgeable and kept the class moving, both with activity and overall personality. They are fair and impartial in their scoring of driving tests. If you feel like you are unprepared, you can come back and retake the test if needed. Great people and great experience.

Fantastic experience: Puget Sound has the very best instructors in the game. These guys really care about saving motorcyclist lives on WA roads. They still regularly practice their own techniques and encourage riders to become professional riders and practice often. I started and finished the first day with Jason at olympia and he was awesome. I got into a wreck on my way there for day 2. PSS rescheduled me after I healed and I didn't have to pay twice. The second time I had Jim. Seriously....all the guys that work at PSS are amazing teachers and it shows that they care about what they do...and the people they are sending out onto the road. - Chef

Negative experience: I was told the permit test would begin at 7am. I was given no directions, just an address. When I arrived at the correct location at 7am (behind the address I was given) I was told that two exercises had already finished and I needed to reschedule. Meaning I would have had to arrive 15-20 minutes early for a class I was told began at 7am.

Fantastic experience: PSS met exactly my expectations in a motorcycle safety course. It was an fun filled in-depth learning experience. If you are planning on riding a motorcycle in the Pugent Sound area, give everyone on the road and yourself a helping hand, and sign up for the basic riding knowledge course. My favorite instructor was Jim W. He was super knowledgeable, professional, and fair. Kudos to PSS!

Negative experience: No communication for weeks at a time not clear on anything. Beginner class was not just for beginners it was clear when the instructor makes you feel like you can’t do it and recommends something else then they want to charge you the whole tuition again. Not happy with this place and will be reporting to the BBB

Fantastic experience: I took the one day Returning Rider course in Lacey. My instructors were Jim and Jeff, both very good instructors! We rode from about 8am until 2pm then had lunch and from 230pm till 6pm was classroom. Both the riding and classroom ended with a permit and endorsement test (endorsement was optional). I passed everything but my physical riding portion of the test which was my fault. I had tunnel vision on the last test to pass and went outside the cone, complete user error. Definitely recommend this course to everyone. I learned a lot and it was tons of fun!!!

Negative experience: As soon as I called the operator was very rude then hung up on me. I tried to call later and they told me I was an unvalued customer before I even said hello. if I’m so unvalued I’ll take my 500$ somewhere else. In addition to that they don’t have motorcycles, they have scooters set up on the side of the road like a cut rate fruit stand. I’m sorry but if I’m learning a dangerous new activity I’m not going to put my safety in the hands of people who cant even be honest let alone rely on them to save my life.

Fantastic experience: Completed the skills portion of the BRC this last week in Olympia WA. and I must say Jim and Gordon are great range instructors. The patience, knowledge, and overall conduct of instruction was great I had a great time. I learned a lot about slow maneuvering, object avoidance, and general handling of a motorcycle. I look forward to going to another class with this organization 101,102 , and experienced. They definitely gave me skills to ride safely on our Washington roads or anywhere for that matter. Thanks guys appreciate it

Fantastic experience: I just took the beginning riding course and it was definitely helpful and got me ready to ride. The instructor Greg is a phenomenal instructor who sets you up for success. I was the only female in my class but never once was that an issue. Not only is the course a great start to riding, the staff is great and very helpful. I had a few questions and messaged the facebook page to get a very quick response that answered all of my questions. Not only were they able to answer my questions but they gave me suggestions as well to things that might benefit me and they never acted as if I was a bother (some places you get quick short response as if you are taking up to much of their time but not once with them). Jessica is the one who answered my questions online and again was very helpful and never brushed me off. Thank you again to the amazing staff at puget sound safety and I will be returning to the ARS class with a friend! Also recommending them to anyone and everyone who asks!

Fantastic experience: Took the BRC here with Greg and Jim to get my endorsement. I really don’t have a single bad thing to say about it. The course was great, lots of seat-time and they taught me important basic skills I wouldn’t have had otherwise. Greg and Jim were the highlight of the experience - they are great teachers, very entertaining, personable and I really didn’t expect to have as much fun as I did for those 2 days.

Positive experience: I did the basic class for my motorcycle endorsement. Both the instructors were very helpful and professional. They were very coordinate with their teaching and during practices every time you made your practice lap around the obstacles they would give you some advice on what they see you doing wrong or struggling with in a reasonably manner. They split the class into two groups. They would explain what we are doing, where we were going around and what really helped was before they would start the practice they get both groups back together and one of the two instructors would run through the course practice part, while the other one would explain it as the other instructor is riding through it. The only problem I had was figuring out what time to be there because they hold the riding practice at Cheney Stadium but their class room is in Puyallup off of Canyon Road a bit far for some people and could be an inconvenience for some but I didn't mind the travel.

Negative experience: If you want a course which focuses more on the bikes than the people this is the one for you! Not only is the HR horrible, but the amount of hoops you have to jump through if you want to switch the class is rediculous. After finally attending I was bewildered at how quickly students were asked to leave the class in a manor that was unprofessional and demeaning. Would not recommend this instruction course to my worst enemy.

Fantastic experience: I could not reccomend this organization more. Had the opportunity to take the brc for the first time last weekend. All 3 instructors were very well versed, and incredibly knowledgeable. I managed to squeak by and pass both my riding and written test with ease thanks to their training. A word of advice, If you're planning on taking these courses, get some rest, I was exhausted the first day and by the end of day one, I fell asleep almost immediately after getting home. Its 2 days of hard work, especially if you've got little to know experience, but it is beyond worth it.

Fantastic experience: Just finished BRC with Vena and Jim, and they were most excellent. The class moved quickly to ensure we got the most out of our training, but they never moved too fast to leave anyone behind. We had a minor accident in our class, and they immediately brought over everyone to discuss what happened and how it could have been avoided. Before this class I never had been near a motorcyle, and by the end of Day 2 I felt confident enough to hit the road. A great duo, Jim & V, and a great course.

Negative experience: Very misleading. The location is 40 minutes away from the actual location of school. Doesn’t tell you until you open a link in the “confirmation” email. It’d have been nice to know the actual class is no where close to the company’s location in the email without having to open the link that just says it’s confirmation. Got there late and the instructor said to call and ask them what they could do the response was “it’s like buying a plane ticket. You’re late you miss your flight.” No it’s not like taking a plane. An airport is where it says it’s located. You don’t have to open attachments searching for a location. You’re already charging $70 more than other courses and now I’m out $200 for nothing. Horrible experience.

Fantastic experience: Great classes for motorcycle riders! The instructors were informative, I learned quite a lot. Just did the intermediate rider skills class and I can't recommend it enough. Roger was really cool and the general atmosphere was mellow and positive. I do recommend bringing your own bike if possible, it probably saved my a** from stalling a bunch.. As you can imagine, the provided bikes are a sketchy bunch.

Fantastic experience: I went to this driving school in the summer and have been meaning to write a review for awhile. This is such a good driving school. I am so glad I went with my gutt and went here. I got a good learning experience out of this school and learned alot. The instructors are SO informative, knowledgable and make learning how to drive alot easier, understanding and fun for beginners. Terry and Matt were good teachers and my driver instructor Terry was great. Definitley recommend going here for driving school or for a motorcycle liscence.

Negative experience: I signed up to take the BRC Motorcycle class being advertised for people with little to No riding experience. I was so excited that I was nervous and the class was packed full of 12 students. I will admit that I didn’t keep my feet all the way off the ground during our first experience riding back and forth on the training course. The instructor suggested that I take a break and she would discuss options. When she finally came to me, she handed me a business card and said to call the office. She then proceeded to regroup the class and said I could stay if I wanted. I felt so defeated, sad and confused about what just happened that I left. After calling the office and explaining, I was told that if I went back and took the iBRC and it went well they would see about me retaking the BRC without paying again. I did that. But when it came to retaking the BRC I was promised follow up by management, left hanging and eventually paid for the class AGAIN. Very disappointed that they don’t have consistent practices and fail to be customer supportive. Since this is the school for my area it feels as though a monopolization of a specialized industry is being fully exploited within this company. I did as I was advised, paid multiple times, asked for contact for ownership or upper management and I was told to email the “General “ email box. Really? I did. Never received any response. I still have to take my ride test. I’m hesitant to say the least to do any more here. What a way to destroy a persons dream. I am now left looking at obtaining my endorsement through another school outside of my County. Not all staff were unhelpful. Some down right rude. Damn near $400.00 spent here.....very disappointed !!!!!

Fantastic experience: Just passed my basic rider course 30 minutes ago. My instructor's were Roy and Jeff. Roy was both calm and informative while still being fun and supportive. Jeff will never in his life ever need a megaphone. Loud, animated, supportive and did i mention loud? My classmates were great, the instructors were great, and the image of a little old man screaming "TURN YOUR HEAD!" Will be with me for life. I intend to take more classes in the future.

Fantastic experience: These guys are great. While their enthusiasm is definately all about motorcycles-- we were satisfied with the drivers ed course. The instructors did their job well. As a parent, I really appreciated their focus on SAFETY. My daughter was well equipped to take her final test and feel good about driving.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome! I came here to take my permit test, and ended up taking my driving test for the first time and passed! Can't remember the guys name that helped me but he was very patient! It took about 1-2 hrs for the insurance company to get back to me before i could take my driving test and the gentleman was very kind and patient! I also sent my older sister to take her driving test here and she passed as well! I will be sending my younger sister here too when she is ready

Fantastic experience: Bad reviews stem from individuals not being prepared for riding, or not having the aptitude to ride. Nothing is wrong with the course material, and all of their expectations are laid out early on. Get there on time, and bring suitable gear (which is very minimal) In my class, everyone passed and got their motorcycle riding endorsement. Not only was it very informative, it was a lot of fun going around cones and learning how to ride. I would recommend Puget Sound Safety to anyone, and I’m certainly coming back to take an advanced motorcycle class.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I took the Basic Riders Course this past weekend. The person we spoke with over the phone, Michaela, was extremely helpful and professional. When we showed up to class we were greeted by Greg who was our main instructor. He is a wealth of knowledge and made the class a ton of fun. There was plenty of humor to go around while at the same time we all took the class seriously. Everyone in our class got along which made everything even more enjoyable. Vena helped us on the driving range and she was a delight as well. You can tell by the way the instructors get along that they really love what they do and that they seriously care about their students. Everything about this experience was top-notch and I recommend their courses to everyone. After completing our class we got our endorsement at the DOL the very next day and my wife and I went on a six hour ride on our Harleys that we purchased before we could even ride. I look forward to joining Greg and Vena for advanced training in the months to come! Five stars! So much fun, so rewarding, so educational—With a focus on ultimate safety.

Fantastic experience: Just took the basic rider course. Our instructor was Vena (Bill helped on the range). She did a fantastic job at trying to get everyone to relax out on the range. Stress usually doesn't result in great performance for people that have never ridden before. I have never ridden before myself but by day two of riding I was able to pass the skills test without any major issues. They gave everyone good, positive feedback and if someone made a mistake they didn't try to make you feel bad about, but gave you instruction on how to fix it and encouraged you to go again. It was a full class of 12 (you can check how many people are enrolled on their site so I don't know why that's a complaint in other reviews) with people of varying age and experience. The instructors did what they could to work with people that needed some extra attention. The course has a specific schedule and each exercise is ran for a certain amount of time to meet that schedule so they tried to get us through as much as possible. I'm not sure about other reviews and how their instructors actually were but Vena was great, and I would recommend taking a class with her to anyone in the area. Bill also did a good job of giving positive feedback on the riding portion and seemed very knowledgeable (along with making all the exercises look very easy when he demonstrated them). Other reviews have had complaints about not knowing where to go or being late, that information is outlined quite specifically when you sign up for the course. They have a PDF you can print or download that has addresses and times, as well as directions.

Negative experience: Scheduled a drivers test and when I showed up no one was there. I called the office and was told that I must be mistaken. I am a very organized person and when I make an appointment for something it goes right into google calendar. The person on the other end of the phone was very rude and condescending. They forgot to schedule me with an instructor and then told me that it was my fault. They said he was on vacation that week. No one called me to tell me this. Read the other reviews. Spend your money elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: My instructors gave me a lot of feedback to improve my riding and possibly save my life. An absolutely invaluable experience!

Fantastic experience: Took intermediate class. Instructors were fun and we got out of class very early. Lots of cone exercises so when it was time to take the skills test we were very clear on the expectations. Would recommend this over taking the tests separately from a class.

Negative experience: If there were a worse Quality option I would indefinitely choose it. Customers are not these peoples first priority in any way shape or form. I signed up for a riding course, also paying full tuition which was $125. I showed up early, with all my gear ready to go. Being the only African American military man in the group, I payed no mind to the fact. While doing a gear check, I was approached and immediately asked to reschedule. I left and drove 45 minutes back home with no argument. After calling to reschedule I received a ridiculous amount of disrespect. I was also told that I could not reschedule and was told to call back tomorrow. I called every day for a week and a half only to be told that there were no supervisors. I emailed, called, left messages and never got a response. I had gone to their location during normal business hours and no supervisors were in sight, and was insulted by "Jane". I lost out on the $125, and never heard from these people again. BBB was contacted on suspicion of racism, along with Jesse Jones of KING5 news.

Fantastic experience: I took the endorsement class and was impressed with the specific feedback, encouragement, and building upon step by step that allowed for my success. I also took the dirt bike ADV camp and it's hard to put to words. There was such a range of skill in the class I assumed I would hold others up or wait around for instruction that wasn't relevant to my skill level. Somehow, they managed to challenge us all. The course allows for frequent feedback, explicit break down of how to be successful, and opportunity to practice. The instruction is broken up throughout the day which makes it more digestable. I'm a new rider, and I didn't feel overwhelmed. Quite the opposite. I learned so many skills I thought would be way down the road.

Negative experience: Will never go back there after they failed my sister and my wife for having really small mistakes. Damen. My friends were right. I could have gone straight to 911 driving test.waste of money. And also my wife told me that she was looking to her blind spots! Thanks for explaining the opposite of what your guy has told me before.never stop beyond a stop sign when there is no stop line. Quick update.my wife also told me she stopped at a corner when she was doing the backing maneuver and there are two cars passed behind before she continued. Do youself a favor and make your money worth

Fantastic experience: I Completed the motorcycle beginners course held in Lacey, WA on 5-6-7 October. Zack was my instructor & I just want to pass along that he is highly professional and makes learning to ride fun, while emphasizing safety at all times. He gets it & knows how to teach it so you learn what is being taught. His positive attitude is infectious, he uses positive reinforcement when addressing learning shortfall by students so we did not become discouraged. He is a true asset to you company. I had a very positive experience

Negative experience: Absolutely the most rude anyone has ever been to me on the phone, this is a terrible company who will try to just about anything to get your money from you without giving you anything. THE CLASS IS OFFSITE (which is information not listed ANYWHERE on the website) and they will not refund your money if you're late (which you will be if you go to THE ONLY address they list on their website). Worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company. Wish I could give negative stars, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I took the BRC weekend course. I was apprehensive because I just didn't know what my skills and abilities might be having only ever had a scooter in the past (which was a long time ago). I was nervous about whether i would be able to learn quickly enough how to shift gears and coordinate everything else as well as pass the test. I also read reviews and found several women complaining about poor treatment for being female. I wish I never read those reviews, because they just made me worry needlessly as this was not my experience at all! My instructors were Matt and David. They were awesome! Very helpful, not judgmental, not condescending, just encouraging and professional. I was one of 2 women in the class and it would have been easy to treat us differently or make us feel like we didn't fit in, but they treated everyone just the same. Not only did I learn a lot in the classroom, the 10 hours or so of on bike instruction was immensely helpful and key. It's hard to believe that on Saturday morning I was learning where the controls were and by Sunday evening I was passing the riding test. I highly doubt I would have been able to have the skill needed to pass the test and ride within boundaries and guidelines if I practiced on my own with a family member or friend. I totally recommend PSS and Matt and David. They helped me make it happen and I feel really happy with their instruction, attitude, professionalism, and expertise. GREAT!

Fantastic experience: Took written and skills all in one day .. very nice and professional .. no pressure all around very good experience

Fantastic experience: The class was challenging, the instructors working in Olympia on June 1,2,3 2015 were exceptional. I felt the range was challenging, upon passing the class I took my vespa out for a cruise and I was amazed at how natural it felt as opposed to prior to the course. The lessons in both the classroom and range were easily applied. Thank you and I will see you on the road! Katie

Negative experience: I was the only women in the intermediate rider training course, and i felt uncomfortable as soon as i walked through the door. The entire feeling from the place was very sexist. Even the instructor made numerous joke about "riding like a girl" and other sexist remarks regarding female genitalia were made by other male students. No effort to shut down the jokes was made by the instructor (George). On the actual riding course they favored the male riders more than the female. After i received my cert i was told by the instructor to "keep riding like a girl" It was overall the most unprofessional experience i have ever been to. I highly recommend that all other women riders go somewhere else. I would never recommend anyone to go to this place. I was almost in tears due to the rude and inappropriate remarks.

Negative experience: Wow. These people refuse to issue a refund of a class that is over 6 weeks out, regardless of what their policy on the website states (it states they will issue a refund if it is more than 10 days out.) Buyer Beware!

Fantastic experience: Can't believe how much I learned in their basic motorcycle course. Then took their intermediate. WOW. Now, I'm looking to their advanced courses. A fantastic school! Save your life -get trained!
