Negative experience: Took my bike here after a crash, there was quite a bit of damage (not enough that would hinder riding) with an engine noise. I was thinking I would get it looked at, made sure it was safe to ride and be able to take it home and ride it till the parts came in. The first time they had it for a week, wrote an estimate told me it was all set to go and I could come pick it up. I also asked for a lowered kick stand which the person at the desk only stated “those are really hard to find” without even looking it up. I got on it road away and still was hearing the engine noise. They said they looked it over thoroughly and road it, however there was not one single mile added to it. I called them up very upset that they didn’t check it out to make sure it was safe to ride. The person I spoke to argued with me that I didn’t tell them about the engine noise and they would come pick it back up after some time on the phone. The next time they had it for two more weeks while my insurance company took a look at it also. My insurance person called me to tell me that they basically didn’t want to look at the engine unless they were sure that the bike was staying there to be worked on fully. Mind you, you can hear the noise on start up and shut off CLEARLY without even having to ride it at all. I called the Harley person again and still was met with an argument over the engine noise. I told them never mind and will take it to my home Harley dealership that is all the way in Michigan. The guys in Michigan immediately heard the noise on start up and knew exactly what it was. I’m convinced this Harley just doesn’t like working with women.

Fantastic experience: On Aug 6, 2024, around mile marker 2 on the Tail of the Dragon...I gravely miscalculated my speed and went off the road on my 23 CVO. I was fortunate to have relatively minor injuries, but the bike did not fare as well. After getting it up out of the ditch, I rode it carefully another 45 miles to Smoky Mountain HD. I was thinking (at the time) that I could replace a couple of crash bars and be on my way. After they inspected the bike, it was determined that the damage was enough for me to NOT ride it back to Nebraska. After a beer and some thought, I decided to leave the bike with the crew at Smoky Mountain...call the insurance, and let the restoration begin. Rather than drag it all the way back to Nebraska just to do the same thing, I had a feeling these guys were up to the task...and probably see a lot more restorations than my guys back home. Well, after 120 days, I picked it up and brought it home. During that time, "Sportster John" kept me up to date on the repairs. They were very meticulous about the parts...even sending some back after seeing flaws in the paint! I can't tell you how much I appreciated that kind of service. Sorry for the long post...but Chris, John, and all of the team there (including the guys that loaded my trailer!! thanks you guys) EVERYBODY was simply awesome. I would recommend this dealership to ANYONE! Thank you again, Smoky Mountain HD for the care and professionalism you showed me.

Fantastic experience: Marshall is my go to guy, fellow Marine and straight shooter. If my bike needs the work he tells me if not also tells me. I like when a dealer ship is honest with there customers.

Fantastic experience: I just want to thank everyone for the time and experiences shared on my last visit to your dealership. My wife and I purchased about $1,000.00 of accessories in your shop while traveling from Maine to Florida a few years ago. The sales associates for both the motorcycles and apparel at Maryville Harley-Davidson provided my wife and I the BEST customer experience of ANY dealership we have visited from coast to coast, including Alaska. We’ve lost track of how many shops we’ve been in since 2010. I purchased $5,500.00 worth of accessories in addition to the new FLSTFB in 2010 in Alaska. The company could drastically improve profitability and customer experience by following the fine examples set by the Maryville, Harley-Davidson in team in Tennessee! IMHO Best Wishes
