Fantastic experience: I had some questions about my online 6 hour course, and Matt was the best person for the job! Knew exactly how to help and we sorted everything out very quickly!

Fantastic experience: I called asking if i can get my online 6 hour course certificate emailed last minute before my exam and Matt was a very huge help and understanding about my situation!!

Negative experience: Do not waste your money on this place. I tried to schedule my driving classes for a whole month after paying $300! Anywhere but here.

Negative experience: Do not ask for driving lessons here. There is an extreme lack of communication. They take your money and don’t answer phone calls. They’ve charged us twice for lessons we never got, and claimed the instructor had contacted me several times. (They didn’t).

Fantastic experience: i had to find a class immediately so i can apply at a cdl school and being able to get reinstated and drive again. i called this driving school and mathew answered and help me within 10 minutes! i told him my problem and he found a outcome very fast , searched all the schools if they had opening and Mathew found one SAME DAY! and he promised he would find one and he did, amazing customer service!!

Negative experience: They do not follow through with driving lessons after you’ve finished class. I’ve had two sons attend. My first son literally had to call them to take a driving lesson and my other one never had one and was told to wait 5 months..it never happened plus it looks like you lost any record of him taking the class and now can’t get his license. Poor management and organization!!! I dont Recommend this place! They’re overbooked and care only about your money!

Negative experience: My son finished the classroom portion this summer 2024. Numerous emails later and still no response on the 6 hour driving portion of what I paid for. They have bad reviews for a reason.

Fantastic experience: Matt was such a big help I had to call last minute at the DMV to get the certificate emailed and he came in for the SAVE!!! I’m so thankful for him because if not for him I would’ve had to wait another two weeks for an appointment. Matt also had some of the best customer service he told me no problem just give me ten minutes and he stuck to his word. THANK YOU MATT!!!!

Positive experience: My experience with this driving school was less than satisfactory due to their lack of (proper) communication. It seems that there's 2 parts to the business: the office (who takes note of and keeps track of students) and the driving instructors (who the students are forwarded to by the office for teaching). I filled out the interest form on August 10 for their adult 6 hour (behind the wheel) driving course and someone from the office got back to me a few days later. They took the payment over call and informed me that lessons would start in September and somebody would reach out to me then. I called on September 13th to follow-up and proceeded to reach out to them more than 5+ times over the course of several weeks to ask for an update, but I was not given any sort of concrete answer or timeline. At first my calls were picked up by the front desk but then I had to leave voicemails, asking for someone to call me back with either a proper update of when my lessons could be set up or a refund of my money. By the 2nd week of October, I had grown reasonably frustrated because nothing had been set up since my initial call with them in August despite my attempts to get answers since then. While on my way to the Skokie office to ask for a refund in-person, I was finally contacted by one of their instructors who was able to book me for back-to-back lessons within the same week. Ultimately, you will receive what you requested and paid for from this driving school. However, be aware that it could take much longer than expected and the communication from their end might not be so great.

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience with this service. I recommended it to a friend who needed help getting her driver’s license, but after they took the payment, they didn’t provide a single session. Most calls went straight to voicemail, and it took nearly three months just to get a refund. It was a complete waste of time.

Positive experience: The school is good and I can recommend to my friends. My 17 old son passed the DMV driving test on 1st attempt. His behind wheel instructor Jocelynne was excellent, polite, and good communicator. I would give her personally 6 stars on 5 star rating. The only thing the school as whole is communication. There is a room of improvements for providing timely responses to those parents who would send their kids to this school.

Fantastic experience: I was having some issues with my certificate after completing the Adult Driving Course and later had issues at the DMV with my certificate and he helped me through that. Matt helped with both issues and even spent time on the weekend to do so. I really appreciate his help!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Northwestern Driving School, I was able to take my remedial course easily and conveniently. It was perfect considering I work full-time. After I completed the assignments, my information was submitted to the secretary of states office, it took a day or two before I was able to go in and pay to reinstate my license! I recommend Northwestern Driving School to anyone who wants convenience and good service!

Fantastic experience: I was going through some trouble trying to get my certificate after completing a 6 hour adult program. Matt helped me on getting my certificate and fixing any other issues I had! His communication and professionalism was amazing. Even on a weekend he was more than willing to help me out and find the perfect solution for me! We need more Matt’s in every workplace. The team should be proud to have him.

Negative experience: After badgering them for a literal YEAR to get behind the wheel scheduled, they once again failed to keep their word and did not send the completion records to the state. Given the nightmare of getting the driving instruction scheduled, I have no faith that these incompetent people will get it done. One star isn't low enough. DO NOT leave yourself to their mercy. With two more kids coming up, we will absolutely not be going back.

Positive experience: I have been in touch with Mike, who is a manager there. He has worked with me to address challenges I had with our driving instructor and the instructor's poor communication. I appreciate his efforts. Aside from our poor experience with the instructor, we had a good all around experience with Northwestern Driving School. Fantastic experience: This is the "Best" driving school the practice test helped us pass the written test it was really helpful we got our permits and did our driving sessions as refreshers and we were able to pass our road test easily ... our instructor Ramone was excellent... he was very helpful... thanks so much!!!!

Fantastic experience: I sent all my kids to this driving school and I'm always satisfied with the way they conduct business. The teachers are always accommodating and provided my teens pickup from Niles West HS all the way to home. All my teenagers got their permit on the 1st try and got their license! I will continue to recommend this school to all my fellow moms and will always feel confident about it! Thanks again Northwestern
