Academy Driving School

Academy Driving, Inc. has been a trusted pillar of driver education in Lapeer County since 1983. Voted "Best of the Best," our school is fully licensed and certified by both the Michigan Department of Education and the Michigan Department of State, ensuring your teen receives the highest standard of training. We combine innovative educational techniques with a supportive academic environment to prepare young drivers for success.

Our comprehensive program is divided into two essential stages. Segment One provides the foundational knowledge required for beginners. This includes 24 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, and 4 hours of observation time. Upon successful completion and passing the knowledge test, students receive their completion certificate, allowing them to apply for their Level I License (permit). The investment for this initial phase is $450, with a non-refundable deposit to secure a spot in our regularly scheduled sessions.

Once teens hold their Level I License for at least three months and have completed their required driving log, they can advance to Segment Two. This focused training costs $60 and is designed to refine skills before the final road test. With flexible class dates available throughout the year, Academy Driving Inc. ensures that learning fits into busy schedules. Join a community-focused school dedicated to producing safe, confident drivers.
