Her driving test was scheduled at the Santa Clara DMV but the location got changed just couple of days before the test due to renovation. They was very accommodative and helped us through the process. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I took the driving lessons with Armando from Forward Driving school for behind the wheel driving test at Santa Clara county. I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. Fantastic experience: Forward Driving School is one of the best driving schools here. Booking an appointment was super quick and easy with Surekha! Eric Swartz is a very professional and wonderful instructor and has guided me well with his instructions on how to drive comfortably on highways, manage merge lanes from exit routes, speed control, staying alert about the exit signs, etc. I enrolled myself into two 2 hours of class each and would highly recommend to take classes with Eric.

Fantastic experience: I did a road test with Ella. She was very knowledgeable--Ella pointed out all the important things to watch out for, especially on the rainy day I took the test on. The test process itself was very straightforward as well. Ella is very familiar with the process and guided me through it. Overall had a great experience, would recommend if you need a licensed instructor or car for the road test!

Fantastic experience: Was learning to drive in 2020. 5 sessions with Alex were enough to pass behind-the-wheel test. Alex is a very thorough instructor with lots of experience which is clearly seen during the lessons. Always on time and sharing knowledge beyond the driver's handbook!

Fantastic experience: I have driving experience from another country. Just need a car for the behind-the-wheel test. I rented the car from Forward Driving School for the driving test. The driver arrived one hour earlier and took me to the DMV. He went through the key points of the test with me. Passed the test. The driver took me home. Very nice person. Highly recommend if you need a car for the driving test.

Fantastic experience: I am writing this review on behalf of my wife who had no prior experience of driving. Today was her "behind the wheel" test at the Santa Clara DMV and she passed in her first attempt. All the credit goes to Forward Driving School. This is a driving school headed by a gentleman by the name Mr Andrew who is always ready to help, the classes are managed by Ms Surekha who goes above and beyond to make sure she arranges the classes at the desired time with the desired instructor. She had been very professional throughout and has even sent us a reminder SMS few hours before every class. Initial 2 classes was with a driving instructor/ trainer by the name Mr Luke. This was the stepping stone - Mr Luke who is very punctual and professional encouraged and motivated my wife so much that she gained confidence (earlier she was very nervous as it was the first time she was driving any vehicle). Mr Luke also made her drive to all the areas like Santa Clara, Coppertino, San Hose, Mountain View etc - this gave my wife a different level of confidence. Later as Mr Luke's calendar was busy, Ms Surekha sent another driving instructor by the name Mr Alex and he took care of the remaining many classes. Mr Alex is a very hardworking person with a true passion for his job. He is punctual, professional, encouraging and understands the nitty-gritty required to clear the driving test in California. He kept training my wife tirelessly till she became perfect in all aspects. My wife initially was not able to pull out the car parallel to the curb... Mr Alex made her do this action so so many times, that now she can park parallel to any curb without a single error. Mr Alex is a perfectionist and him being strict and giving true feedback helped my wife clear the test. Kudos to his energy levels. He will make you try and try and try till you get it. My wife was supposed to take my car today for the driving test but unfortunately my car broke down at the last moment. We called Ms Surekha and she was kind enough to go above and beyond to arrange Mr Alex and his car for my wife. It was a blessing in disguise. Mr Alex made sure that all the paper work of the car is in place, he also made my wife practice for 2 hours before the test. He made sure that my wife does not get nervous/stressed up during the test. He was very calm and encouraging with her. We highly recommend forward driving school. My wife is saying now - " if I can clear the test in first attempt (someone who never drove any vehicle all her life), then anyone can if you have the right people guiding you and if you practice enough". Thank you so much Forward Driving School. You guys are the BEST :)

Fantastic experience: Great driving school. Highly recommended. I passed my behind-the-wheel test @ Los Gatos DMV with Andre. He is very patient and helpful - he arrived 5 minutes early to pick me up, and during my practice on the way to DMV, he covered all the things to look out for while taking the test, so I could be more confident. Also he helped me relax while waiting in line for the driving test. He went above and beyond my expectation and I really appreciate it!

Fantastic experience: My wife took 3 lessons(2 hr each) from instructor Alex. She passed her behind the wheel driving test right after that. She had some minor prior driving experience. The school is flexible, accommodating & we loved our instructor, he has a great sense of humor.

Fantastic experience: I have been very happy with my experience at Forward driving school. I highly recommend Nick. He is a very knowledgeable and patient person. He constantly guides you throughout the lesson and point out important information over and over again, until it becomes second nature to you. He never gets mad or say any discouraging things when you make a mistake. Also, sulekha is very nice when it comes to scheduling classes and billing. I highly recommend their service if you are looking for learning or re-learning driving in a correct safe way.

Negative experience: Had a worst experience with them,it was a waste of time and money.I lost confidence after driving with them,the instructor Monty was rude and didn't teach properly.Look for other driving school options.

Fantastic experience: I usually don't write reviews but will for this driving school. Where do I even start. They are very professional and do remind you your appointment. I had no experience prior to my driving I was scared to get behind the wheel let alone drive. But my instructor Vitty oh my! She was very knowledgeable and boosted my confidence. She's very patient and I admire how she'd always rectify my wrongs . We'd pull over, she'd explain and we'd practice repeatedly until I get it or feel comfortable. She did what i thought i'd never be able to. Praise God for Vitty. She was there with and for me the day of my test. Praise God for answered prayers and Vitty. I passed on my 1st try . Looking to get behind the wheels with no experience? Ask for Vitty she'll know what to do with ya God bless

Negative experience: Completely terrible. The instructor had no skill or inside. the instructor had me drive around for 2 hours with no direction. She had an accent that I could not easily comprehend and she rode the brake at every theater stop. all the employees speak with a foreign accent. I strongly advised not doing business with this company.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Forward Driving School has been nothing but pleasant. After the required 3 lessons, I took my driving test at the Santa Clara DMV this morning, and passed on my first try! Scheduling appointments: the receptionist was extremely polite and helpful, and would also send lesson reminders via text a couple days beforehand. Instructor: Upon the recommendation of a friend, I requested Nick, who was the best instructor I could've had. From the beginning, he was calm and relaxed, which helped me feel the same. He takes the time to guide you step by step, and never rushes you, always emphasizing safety. Throughout the course of the required three lessons for my underage license, he helped me develop good habits of staying aware of the surrounding environment. He also teaches you helpful tricks for tricky maneuvers like reserving into a parking spot and parallel parking! I would highly recommend him to anyone starting out driving.

Fantastic experience: Very good driving school in Santa Clara. I have learnt driving for 4 classes from a private tutor but din't have the confidence to drive safely on the road. I registered my exam date and took four classes with the tutor Nick from Forward driving school. The very first day he made me feel that I can drive safely. He explained me where I did mistakes and gave excess training in those areas. He took me to the areas similar to the DMV routes like school zones, residential and freeways. The day before the exam and on the exam date he acted like a trainer and tried to make me feel less nerves during the exam. Hats off. I passed my exam in my first try itself. I got the confidence to drive. Thanks to the tutor and the driving school.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience booking a 2hr lesson and a drive test a week prior to my test. I had been driving for a while in Europe, but some things here are just different and I had failed the test twice before. Both Maria and Andre gave me some good additional tips and Andre was very effective in reducing my nervousness, which led me to pass the test with a great score!

Fantastic experience: I practiced driving with them and think they are really good. Once you decide on a schedule with them, they send a reminder before your driving class is up and the instructor is always on time for the class. I took a few driving lessons with Nick. He's a very patient instructor, very accommodating and gives an apt amount of feedback. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

Fantastic experience: Totally recommend taking lessons from this school. I took 2 lessons from Amar. Amar is a very good instructor and he got me ready for the driving test in just 2 sessions. He is patient, teaches well and instills confidence. I even used their car for behind-the-wheel test. Passed my test in the first attempt!

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with the training provided to my daughter. She had taken 6hrs lessons from another school and was not confident at all. Many of the basics were not covered. After getting 3 more lessons from Amar (instructor we used) with Forward Driving School, she was very confident and passed the DMV test 1st time in pouring rain. I also liked the ease of booking the appointment, pickup from different locations and the school always called the night before to re-confirm the appt. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: I took 4 lessons from the school and also used the school car for my behind the wheel test. Amar is a great instructor. I was able to go from "never driven a car before" to passing a behind the wheel tests in just 4 lessons with him. Highly recommended !

Fantastic experience: All compliments for Mr.Long driving instructor ,very professional approach to the student and very patient as well .He will give u basic and all needed info how to pass driving test from 1st time. Owner Mr. Andre is very professional and answered my phone call immediately and he booked my class in next 2 days.I didn't have any problems with this driving school so I m giving them 5 stars .

Fantastic experience: Long is an excellent teacher. From the first session he has been persistent to make be a safe but a confident driver at the same time. At the end of very session I felt I was getting much better than the previous session. He always tried to push my limits.. Gives great feedback and always tested my reaction in various real life situations that would help me later when i drive daily. Excellent knowledge and a flair for teaching. Fantastic experience: I recently had my first driving lesson with instructor Long. Initially, I was apprehensive about driving for the first time, but he made me feel very comfortable as soon as I sat behind the wheel. After working on basic turns and u-turns, we drove out on large streets such as Homestead and El Camino Real; I was able to apply the basic skills we had practiced. He was calm and very helpful the whole time I was driving, so I certainly would recommend him to any new driver!

Fantastic experience: About the school: competitively priced, flexible, easy to get an appointment. But the main reason behind recommending them is their instructor, Long. Great guy, always reach on time, he is more eager to get you on road than you are, he will not only prepare you for driving exam, but will also teach you advance driving skills. perfect man for the job!!!!
