Fantastic experience: I earned my CDL Class A through College of DuPage in Addison, Illinois, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. What really set this school apart is that it's a private institution—not a trucking company—so I never felt like just a dollar sign. The instructors treated me like a person. They were compassionate, professional, and truly dedicated to helping me reach my goal. What stood out the most was how well the team of four instructors worked together. They each paid close attention to the areas where I needed the most support, and they were always patient and encouraging. Their teamwork and commitment made a huge difference in my learning process. Fantastic experience: Very good school. I attended the 6 week course and I passed with no problem. As long as you listen to Mario Charley manny and Jim you are good. Just don’t be hard headed and you will pass the class and get your cdl. Clutch clutch

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience, 5/5 stars 100%. Great teachers with a lot of experience. They care deeply about “the process” of teaching how to be safe and legal. Passing the in-cab, yard skills and road test was pretty easy because I was prepared. Very thorough training process that included learning about tankers, triples/doubles and hazmat. Getting those endorsements was easy because I was already familiar with most of the material on the state test. Thank you College of DuPage Truck Driving School. I even checked out a competing school in person and the setup at College of DuPage blew it out of the water. Recruiters favor students from this school.

Mario and Charlie are extremely knowledgeable instructors and honestly at the start of the class I was intimidated with all the information I was presented with. But little by little they both pushed me to keep practicing. These guys played a huge part in me passing my exam and I can’t thank them enough for helping me advance my career. Fantastic experience: COD Truck Driving school was an amazing experience for me and everyone in my class. Day 1 we were outside in the yard messing and learning about the trucks and driving them by the end of the first week. The instructors Manny, Mario, and Charlie all are amazing instructors and are each amazing at their specific skills. Mario is fantastic at teaching your how to drive and getting better at shifting and clutch control, Charlie is the best pre trip instructor out their, there is no way that after the 6 week course that u won’t have that engraved into your brain for teat day. Manny is amazing at teaching you steps further and preparing you for going on the road after you get your CDL. Jim’s scheduling and preparation and getting everything put in order is also such a helpful and beneficial asset to this school. He also has so many connections to trucking companies that most people, after getting their CDL have jobs lined up already. There will be no regrets after coming to this school. It will be a fun and enjoyable learning experience that you will make many connections, while also getting your CDL.

Fantastic experience: When I heard College Of Dupage CDL training program had a high course completion rate and offered job placement opportunities I knew I had to enroll and boy did they deliver! Jim has some great connections with a ton of recruiters of well-known trucking companies. The class sizes are perfect so you get a lot of time behind the wheel. The instructors Manny, Mario and Charley do a great job in giving you the tools and knowledge that you need within the 6 weeks. They really want to see you succeed! The best part is you’ll be in the trucks on day 1 and driving within the first week!

Fantastic experience: Wow, these guys are good. The program manager, Jim, and the instructors, Manny, Mario and Charlie are all awesome. They give you all the resources you need and can work with anybody. I had no prior experience coming into this course…and in just a few short weeks I was OVER prepared for the state exam. They even take the time to teach you real life things such as highway driving, hooking up trailers and docking…not even a part of the state exam, but just to help you be more prepared for the real world. These guys should be proud of the program they’re running!!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough great things about this program. Jim, Manny, Mario, and Charlie are all great! There teaching styles are very different, so we get the best from all of them, and get different perspectives. They had our class very well prepared for the state examiners. I did ask one of the examiners about the reputation of the COD truck driving school, and he did say that COD’s program is one of the best in the state! I learned so much, and not just about driving a truck, but driving in general. They have several different trucks to learn on, so I feel very confident about driving any truck now. If you want to learn how to drive a truck, and pass the Secretary of State test, go to the COD truck driving school!

Jim the Program Director was awesome and super helpful with the enrollment process, testing preparation, and job placement assistance. The instructors, Manny, Mario, & Charlie are all veteran drivers with lots of road experience, and practical knowledge. You will learn everything you need to pass your state test to obtain your license, as well as additional real-world maneuvers that will be extremely helpful for beginner drivers. I would recommend this class to anyone who’s looking for a school that cares about their students’ future success. They treat you as a person, not as a number.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely Hands down the BEST. I was going to go with one of the big carriers for Training. Thank God I chose not to. They showed me they cared about our training from day 1 thru the last day of week 6 and beyond. Need to refresh for a road test (interview), they will take you back out. Also after passing the SOS we had 2 days of simulated alley docking, 45 backing and coupling and uncoupling. Double clutching was an ease, they explained it perfectly and we did it. Then went out to float gears. Mario, Eli and Manny are the best. They are true instructors. There is a difference between instructors and teachers. Teachers teach, Instructors show you experience.

When I first got to this school I knew absolutely nothing about how to operate those trucks but now I feel like I have the confidence and most importantly the Skills to take on any challenges in the trucking field and I OWE IT ALL TO COD TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL. Fantastic experience: I recently obtained my CDL A from COD. Frankly, if you can’t get your license here, you probably shouldn’t have one. The staff gives you every resource needed to be successful. They take each part of the DMV test and breaks it down in a way that you not only memorize it, you learn it. I never drove a stick shift before and yet in just days I was behind the wheel of semi with a ten speed manual transmission. Even though the staff will always emphasized safety, they all made learning fun. I can’t say enough good things about this program.

Fantastic experience: I'm glad I chose COD to obtain my CDL, because the the instructors are awesome, they are very knowledgeable, they made sure that I had all the tools I needed to get me thru, I was struggling with my straight backing and Chris noticed what I was doing wrong and he had me to make a minor correction, I haven't had an issue with my straight backing since. I believe that what you bring to this program is what you going to get out, I wasn't going to let the truck defeat me, I came, I sought, I Conquered!!

Positive experience: Okay school but classes are over crowed and the trucks are donated. The time behind the wheel is state minimum of 20 hours. Not worth the $4500 for the 260 hours. Mostly observation hours and if you drive 10mins behind the wheel they put 1 hour of driving time. The feds are investigating the Main Campus for a reason. ECC is 320 hours for $300 less. Do your research!
