Fantastic experience: I truly believe that Coastal Truck Driving school prepared me for the trucker life. I loved attending there & it was a great experience. As a person who never drove a semi-truck before I now feel confident & ready to drive any commercial vehicle manual shift vehicle. I was guided in the right directions by my instructors Ms. Shelly, Syi, Pops, & Lawrence. Cassie that works in the office was always nice & kind everyday. Mark was a great help & should look into being a back pad teacher someday. Mike at the coastal canal St. location & has were also nice. Thank you because of coastal I can now safely & confidently drive semi trailers anytime that I need to !

Fantastic experience: It's a school but at no point did I ever feel like just another student. The instructors didn't just read anything from a textbook, they explained concepts to us in a way that made them extremely easy to understand and memorize, they made it easy to remove the anxiety of operating an 18-wheeler for the first time, and they removed all the pressure of the tests we would have to take. If I ever come across someone eager to learn commercial driving this school will be the first, second, and third option I will recommend to them.

Fantastic experience: Lawrence was a great instructor; one of the best I’ve ever been taught by. Pops and Cassie were also very helpful and patient with me. The price is steep but, besides that, I would definitely recommend this school’s location.

If you’re looking to acquire your CDL Coastal is your best bet! Shoutout to Ms. Shelly, Pops, and all the amazing instructors of Coastal.

Fantastic experience: I began at coastal and didn’t know anything but in 4 weeks I was able to learn everything about the truck and trailer and everything under the hood. This was a great experience l, and I would recommend anyone out there who wants to become a CDL driver to attend. The staff was amazing. They made sure you had all tools you needed to become a great truck driver.

Fantastic experience: this was a great experience, didn’t feel like just come to get your cdl . they actually make sure that you understand what your doing and will go to the furthest extent to help you . the driving instructors lawrence pops and ben have been extremely helpful in helping me learn how to drive and give you the info you need when your actually in the field. avianna was a great teacher breaking things down for you to actually understand and in ways you can remember instead of just reading out of a book cassie was great she gives great advice and helps you out with info that you need . 10/10

Fantastic experience: The guys at coastal truck driving school were patient with me and new that wanted to learn, to get it right. Had to finance my tuition but it was worth it. Still driving trucks in 2023. Seems like "Pops" is still there at this location too.

Negative experience: Giving no stars as I see the Carmen girl below me in her review. Same thing happened to me. Listed every inch of the vehicle and he failed me because I didn't say it to his phrase standards. I tested for a Class B, so then he said I needed to mention the catwalk of the truck. Which if your testing for a Class B, you don't need too mention the cat walk, because it's a box truck, and not a semi. That's okay because every dog has it's day and you will reap what you sow. I will retest at another location and record myself, because if this happens again I will file a class action suit.

Fantastic experience: Glad I have chosen this location to get my cdl. I have learned the skills needed to start my new career as a truck driver. The staff are great, they are there every step of the way to make sure me and my class mates are well prepared for our future.

Negative experience: Be ready to be failed by the driving instructor if you did not obtain your permit at this location. They charge you to use the truck and test fee which is understandable, but you can know every inch of the truck, but the guy will find something to fail you with. So every time you have to be retested its more money in their pocket. It seems to me that if you don't go to this school for the entire training you will not get your license with this company but they will gladly take your money.
