Negative experience: My Daughter DM just completed the classroom portion of class, I went to schedule the behind the wheel evaluation portion and the first available day and time is Dec 5, 2024???this is a holiday weekend so I have to carry this anger for 3 days without resolution. I’m pissed. 2 weeks for class and over 90 days before the first BHTW evaluation WTH?? Now 24 days later I just recieved a $120 refund and all behind the wheel driving lessons were cancelled! Now I must fight to get full refund because $120.00 is not enough for the (3) 2 hour lessons required by MVA! Good thing I! This school is a fraud! Oh and they blocked me,but that not going to stop me from reporting them! I see they responded 3 days ago and refunded me $120.00 like I said refund all because $120 is not going to get me what I need a driving course for my daughter paid up front! So response is unacceptable! The school is a fraud! I tried several times and the earliest date for bate training was 90 days past classroom endind This is the location on 25th street Baltimore , Maryland! I guess the truth hurts so they are trying to keep my money and are refusing to do the behind the wheel part! I think I was really suppose to just ask for a certificate. This school is fraudulent! I said what I said! Your response is irrelevant! Because my post is the truth! You told these people to go on link to schedule class and the dates are 3 -4 months away! Why mess with the kid because the mother is telling the truth! Fraud and no ethics! That’s why it’s hard to support black owned businesses because of operations like this! This damn sure ain’t NO reputable business! It’s a fraudulent operation! Stealing Money! But dates and records will prevail!and this review is of no surprise because the truth is the truth! I also emailed you on the original day and tried calling and no one answered the phone! I will be going to MDOT in the morning to open an investigation! Update : contacted Integrity Driving school and Diearra has completed Driver’s Ed☺️All 3 behind the wheel lessons done in 1 week! Stay away from BLISS DRIVING ACADEMY, LLC! This review is a bit surprising as our calendar has availability before December. We have two schedules for students to choose from with varying availability. There are students who were in the same class as your daughter who are complete and others whom have appointments in the coming weeks. To date; we have not been contacted by your family and wish you would have contacted us directly for clarity instead of giving us a poor Google rating and blatantly disrespecting the owner by calling her a liar on Facebook. Nothing we do is fraudulent and we have to right to refuse/discontinue services as we see fit. You are well within your rights to contact the MVA to report us. We stand by all information provided as well as the refund remitted. MVA does a compliance inspection of all driving schools twice a year and are well aware of our practices. In the 10 years we have been open, we have never been fined/sanctions by the MVA and we encourage you to call them. You can reach them directly at 410-424-3751; Bill Kraft is the head of the department. We have share our entire email and social media correspondence with the MVA as well since you have yet to file your complaint. Unethical, fraudulent businesses DO NOT put things in writing. So, if we weren’t operating within the parameters of MVA and COMAR, why would we email, give you the direct phone number for the drivers’s ed department at MVA and encourage you to call!? Let’s be honest and logical…we wouldn’t. You are free to say/post whatever you’d like, it doesn’t make it factual. You contacted the BBB which allows both parties to provide EVIDENCE, and your claim was closed because I was able to provide the BBB with all of our correspondence. Unfortunately Goggle reviews don’t allow screenshots. At any rate, we’re glad your daughter was able to complete the program despite your actions. With that said, we wish your family all the best! Fantastic experience: This was a amazing experience, I now officially love to drive, my instructor Mr.O was amazing, he taught me how to drive on point while being comfortable before I thought driving was irritating and boring but now MR.O change that for me. Fantastic experience: I just got done driving school well almost!!!! Only because I missed two classes, but I’m making them up next week but our Instructor Mrs.Dawn is hands-down, the best and the other instructor I don’t remember her name but she was awesome aswell. Mrs.Dawn was trying to accommodate me to be able to do my driving test before my permit expire because she knew my situation when I say she went above and beyond to really help me out. I feel like she don’t get enough credit. I don’t see how she is getting a bad review for anything she communicates with all her students She asked do we have any issues before we log off? and she will call to make sure there is no issues It seems like people just be wanting to give a bad review if things is not done how they would like it….I’m recommending my daughter to go to this driving School She signing up in the next few weeks

Fantastic experience: Would I recommend this driving school…ABSOLUTELY! When I was searching for a program, BLISS was the closest to me. As a habit, I always read reviews before I make a selection. There were some pretty harsh reviews from some people but in reading the reply from the school, it was clear that some people giving one star only wanted to point the finger without holding themselves accountable (smh). Anyway, I decided to go with BLISS and they did NOT disappoint. Yes, there is was wait time for the driving hours but when I reached out to the owner, she put me on the waiting list and I was able to finish very quickly. Miss Dawn (the owner) was my teacher in the classroom and she was very open and honest about the responsibility of driving. Mr. O was my instructor in the car and although he was a little talkative, he gave me some great tips that made me feel better about driving. I also rented the driving school car to take my MVA test. Miss Dawn took me to MVA for the driving test as well. While we waited she gave me some very helpful tips on how to pass the driving test. I have test anxiety so I was nervous but Miss Dawn is so cool even the MVA people rock with her . I was always made to think the people at MVA were mean but my examiner was cool, professional and friendly. I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST ON THE FIRST TRY!!! All in all I had a top notch experience and will be sending everyone I know to BLISS!

Negative experience: I was being nice just giving them one star. My son did his online classes in September but couldn't schedule his behind the wheel time until January. Which is ridiculous. Communication with this company is terrible. They never answer the phone or respond to emails. Today 1/9/25 was his first lesson and there was an issue with my sons paperwork (he didn't fill it out nor did they have any hard copies available) I'm explaining to the driving instructor that he has autism and may have not completely understood what he needed to do on his end. I was willing to reschedule the appointment but needed to know how. All he kept saying was its online. The tone that he was using was insensitive and borderline rude. He called who I'm assuming was the supervisor and I hear her through the phone and she was just as rude. I asked him to explain to her that he has a disability and may need a little bit more time and patience, which he never did. I would suggest that when people register that there is a space where they can disclose if they need additional accommodations. Also we couldn't reschedule the appointment because we couldn't get into the system even after resetting the password. Overall I don;t think that I would recommend them to anyone because of the communication issues and the lack of patience and empathy from the staff. One more thing Bliss should have hard copies in the office of all documents because to assume that all students have access to printers is insane. Why aren't y'all using docusign or another similar platform its 2025
Hello Ms. Bagley, we appreciate your review and your concerns are noted. Let’s start from the beginning…Your 20 year old adult son started our program 9/30/2024. Upon registration, an email was sent outlining how class will be conducted and also providing a link to download and print the required registration forms. Several follow up emails have been sent and at no time has it been communicated that your son was on the spectrum. We have dealt with students on the spectrum many times in the 10+ years we have been open. Most parents communicate that information to us before class begins and at that time we have a detailed conversation on what accommodations need to be made. You did not extend that courtesy to our school until it was convenient in making us look unprofessional, lacking empathy and willingness to accommodate in an attempt to hold us accountable to information you never provided. We had a very responsive and productive text conversation on 10/16/2024 about scheduling the driving hours but you never mentioned your son’s diagnosis. Outside of that, you haven’t attempted to call/email until this incident. Your son is an adult so during registration, we were only provided with his contact information so we communicated directly with him. In the classroom, your son succeeded in our program scoring high marks on all quizzes and passing the final exam on the initial attempt so there was no indication that he had a problem with comprehension. Not all families disclose a diagnosis but if signs present themselves, raising a red flag, ie poor test scores, we reach out to the student/parent for clarification. That was never necessary for your son so to spring this on us now is a bit unfair to all parties involved. Upon arrival, your son advised us that he had the paperwork and left it home. We gave your son the option to fill out his documentation electronically and for whatever reason he was unable to do so successfully, which is why you chose to cancel the appointment. To complain about the wait time, show up unprepared, be provided with the option to remedy the situation and still choose to cancel is an issue you created. As a suggestion, it would be helpful to all parties involved if the autism diagnosis was disclosed so that your son can be accommodated. With that said, we have decided to part ways with your family and wish you the best of luck with your son completing driver’s education with another program. Thank you
Fantastic experience: The online classes are great they give you all the info and links to everything they show you. And the in car lessons are great if you get Mr.O for you in car lessons he will give you all the tools and info you need to succeed in your driving if you listen to him and his directions there's no way your gonna fail best teacher out there would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I could not ask for a better learning experience other than here at bliss. They were straight forward and very nice to me and Mr.O is hilarious. Of course they are strict but that is a necessity and it’s helped me become a better driver.

Positive experience: - Online course: good - In-car lesson: great - Communication: bad Online courses were okay (taught by Miss Ciera). She went competently through the material, and was very engaging. Only once I felt the right of way rules were unclear. In car lessons were taught by Mr. O and were great. A lot of good and useful advice. The only negative was that I was driving myself only for a very short time during my second lesson. However Mr. O is very friendly, tells good stories, and also is a good motivator. It feels like he truly cares. I was surprised that I needed driving experience for my first in-car lesson/evaluation, but it said that on the website, I was just oblivious coming from another culture. In general in-car lesson availability is scarce. One attempt to schedule earlier led to nothing. On the admin side, Miss Dawn was friendly. In general, communication was okay, but it completely broke down once they had to cancel lessons because the car was broken. First, cancelled lessons still receive appointment reminders (even after cancellation) and the cancellation was sent from an unverified email so it was in junk. The email being in junk is not necessarily their fault, but could be avoided by sending emails from a verified sender. Furthermore, cancelling appointment reminders would be helpful. Second, and worse, was that the makeup was scheduled on a date I had two important work meetings, and to which I communicated I cannot come. Four requests to reschedule were left unanswered, even after calling and talking to Miss Dawn I was put off with that I'd receive a return call which im fact I did not. Together with scarce availability of in-car lessons, and me having paid for lessons already I decided it would be easier to miss two work meetings rather than being blamed for not showing up for a lesson I communicated I could not come to. Screenshots attached. My verdict is, if you book your in-car evaluations early, and you are lucky to not have any eventualities coming up then this driving school is good (4.5 stars). However once you have to reschedule (even when it is because of BLISS) you may run it substantial communication issues (my esperience, 3 stars). Importantly, I feel that I left the school prepared to drive properly, and pass the test.
Hello Gabriel and thank you for your candid review. We are pleased that you left prepared to drive and take the driving test as that is the goal. As far as the issue with the vehicle, due to an unfortunate circumstance, the training vehicle was in an accident rendering it immobile. We notified students immediately with a detailed explanation and instructions on how we would move forward. As you stated, the email went to spam even though we tell students in class to save our phone number and email to avoid missed communications. If our emails were sent to spam, clearly you disregarded that directive. Students schedule their own lessons and if there is a scheduling conflict, that is not information we are privileged too. We offered more than one date to accommodate you and you expressed your unavailability. Before we could find an appointment to fit your schedule, you took it upon yourself to schedule an appointment on a date you knew you had to work obligations and sent us a text message telling us not to change it. Once you made your own appointment, there was no need for us to do anything on our end. Just like any other business, we have hours of operations and students have to schedule based upon their availability in conjunction with ours. A lot of times it gets lost that scheduling works both ways and it’s not solely on the business end. This is a clear example of BLISS having availability but it conflicted with your schedule. In this instance, you made the choice to make an appointment so how are we to know you have a conflict? With that said, you’ve successfully completed the program, MVA has been notified and we thank you for your patronage. Best of luck!

Negative experience: Have been sending multiple emails and leaving messages concerning the details of the class I took a few years ago and needing to redo the class . Haven’t received a response at all and wouldn’t recommend
Good evening Ms. Solomon, return all voicemails and emails within 48 business hours. All of our inboxes are empty because all voicemails have been returned and all emails have been answered. Now, we have received some voicemails where the person on the other end said nothing, didn’t leave a number or it was difficult to understand what they were saying. With that said, if you have in fact attended our program, because when we search your name, you are not listed in our roster here is what you need to know…If you attended our program within the pass 3 years, we still have your records however, you have to be reinstated. If it has been more than 3 years, MVA regulations state that records are void after that time and students must restart the program. Had we received any correspondence from you, this is the information we would have provided you with. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Ms. Dawn is an amazing teacher. She keeps the Driver’s Ed class interesting and engaging which makes seemingly dry content a lot more bearable. Besides doing what was required in the Driver Improvement Course, she also gave me valuable advice on how to speak in traffic course. I really appreciate her guidance and recommend her to any new driver in the Baltimore area.

Negative experience: I was not satisfied with the customer service I received from the owner. On the first day of class, I would describe the culture as strict and hostile. There is a fine line between assertiveness and order and sarcasm and dismissiveness. The latter was certainly apparent in my experience. Most questions were met with sarcasm and dismissiveness, creating an environment that was very anxiety inducing for me. On the day of my final drive time, the driving school’s vehicle had experienced mechanical issues. The owner and instructor worked swiftly to get the problem resolved (no complaints there!!), but could not get it done in time, as I had to get back to work. The owner called me by phone to explain the situation, which was greatly appreciated. When asked if I had any questions, I responded that I had a recommendation. I recommended that, going forward, the car should be inspected/checked before drive times (about 30 minutes should be fine). If this had been done, there’s a chance that I would have been notified before coming to the school that the car was experiencing mechanical issues (I could’ve continued working and saved Lyft money). Despite telling the owner that I am not upset and that I understand that things happen, yet my recommendation stands, I was met with defensiveness. The owner went on a rant about how I too have experienced unforeseen circumstances and that things happen. Again, I agreed with her there. However, the vibe I get from the owner is that “I’m right, you’re wrong. I said what I said”. It’s a disappointing mentality to have as a business owner, and I think she should be more receptive to feedback.
Good evening Miss Phoenix, please be advised that we are in receipt of your feedback and appreciate your opinion. As the owner, we have had very minimal interaction and at no time have I spoken to you or responded from a place of hostility. On July 8th, the first of day class, I was your instructor. We you full of questions and even apologized for having so many. At the time I told you there was no need to apologize and questions are welcomed as we do no want any student leaving confused. You thanked me for that and class proceed with each one of your questions answered in detail. Our next communication was today (August 26th) when I called to speak with you regarding the unforeseen issue with the vehicle. It is my belief that the hostility was on your side as you had left work (which we were not aware of) to come for your lesson and your driving test is approaching. Yes you gave your recommendation in a condescending tone. Your lack of empathy during this situation was a bit concerning and perspective was given to you as you were solely concerned with how this situation impacted you and you alone. Once we realized the issue would not be resolved today, we promptly remedied that problem by placing you on the schedule for 12pm 8/27. We also reimbursed you for your Uber ride as you requested with no apprehension for the inconvenience. When you called later this afternoon stating you’d finish your final driving appointment elsewhere, we sent over the necessary documents and a refund for services not rendered. With that said, we’ve had all of two interactions, none of which were rude, sarcastic or dismissive on our end.
Fantastic experience: I had a good experience with BLISS Driving Academy. I did Online learning with the first part of the Driving Academy & it was good, easy to learn & understanding with Ms.Dawn. I had Mr.O for In person Driving Lesson & they all went very well & with practice with Mr.O & in my own I passed. Good communication, Patience & Understanding was needed & that’s what was gave to me at BLISS, I do recommend this Driving school to others it was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: This school was greatttt! I was able to finish the in-class portion while being away at school and even when unfortunately missed a day it was so easy to make it up. The in car evolutions were AMAZING!! My instructor Mr. O was great. I felt comfortable and wasn’t nervous at all!!! Negative experience: One of the worst schools. They have literally zero sense of punctuality and responsibility. Even if you’re done with your 30hour class, they will keep rescheduling your ‘behind the wheel’ for another 3month. While you’re taking the appointment literally 1month ago, they will just call you few hours ago before the appointment, will cancel it and reschedule it another one month after. It’s like, they are done with their responsibilities after taking the money.
We apologize that you’ve had that experience however, you may have the wrong school. We’ve search our system for your name and you have never participated in our program. We have no record of ever attending BLISS Driving Academy.

We communicate via email and text to keep students updated with appointment reminders, schedule changes, etc. As you are aware, your parent has opted to be our point of contact. Negative experience: If I could leave no stars I would. This driving school is unprofessional, ignorant, and more. They have very poor communication until it comes to giving them money. NOT ONLY THAT I have SEVERAL students I know who have went to this driving academy and they didn’t require them to DO DRIVE TIME/behind the wheel simply because they felt like the person look like “ They can drive” which is strictly required by MVA to receive a license. They’re Passing people thru driving school w/ out abiding by the law but they allege they’re so strict on “MVA policies.” Dawn, please play with someone safe next time I will be moving forward and dealing with this legally
We appreciate all feedback both positive and negative as we learn from it all. This slanderous review is disheartening because it is not based upon fact. We have communicated with you and your mother via email and telephone on several occasions. Every concern that you have expressed we have addressed in a timely fashion, including giving you your requested refund. None of our communication has been unprofessional or ignorant; we have been helpful and accommodating. From allowing six weeks to pay your final balance to issuing you a refund immediately upon request we are unsure why you are so angry us. We have explained in detail what our policies are, how our tuition is calculated for classroom and behind the wheel hours, and have issued your refund and transcript accordingly. You claim to know several students who have gone through our program and did not complete their driving hours, which is not factual at all. We are unsure how a person “looks like” they can drive but to be clear, our paperwork is always in order as MVA does a compliance inspection reviewing our documentation every 6 months to make sure we are operating based upon COMAR regulations. If we were putting in false documentation, MVA would have closed our business along time ago. Not to mention, if this were factual, why would you enroll into our program? This slanderous review is simply because you wanted a full refund even though you’ve completed more than half the program. You are entitled to your opinion we just ask that you are factual. As far as you taking legal action, good luck with that.
Negative experience: It takes forever to book an appointment for behind the wheel class. They even canceled whenever they want. You hardly receive reply for your questions by email. What’s more, they shrink your practice time as well. I only got 2.5 hours of class out of 6 hours on BTW class.
We appreciate feedback from all of our students but please be truthful. Yes, you had a lesson cancelled because the instructor got into a car accident not because we felt like cancelling your appointment and you were accommodated. As with all businesses, we have a business hours and scheduling procedures. You started our program in April 2023 as an inexperienced driver who needed a lot of practice driving. We explain to all students that driving school does not teach you how to drive. It teaches the fundamentals of driving with each lesson in which you are required to practice with a driving coach between lessons. However long it takes for a student to get that practice determines when they complete the program. You met all the driving school requirements in the classroom and behind the wheel successfully in July 2023. When you came for your last lesson, it was communicated that your driving test was the next day because you were moving to another state a week later. We advised you that you had basic driving skills but could not guarantee that you would pass the driving test. We worked on all the skills that you would encounter on the test and although initially you struggled with parking, we gave the necessary feedback to improve. We’re not sure if you received your license but please be clear, we do what is required by MVA for all students to complete driver education. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Wassup world, I absolutely loved my learning experience with Bliss. From the person teaching the class, to the guy that takes u driving then the best part Ms. Dawn giving me a pep talk before the driving test. I’m bout to sign my niece up so she can have a great experience also. Thank you Bliss Academy for helping me learn how to drive.

Negative experience: I was disappointed, I rented a car for my MVA test and they told me a few minutes before the test that the car will not be available. Why are you calling me a few minutes before we meet? And is there no other car available? They didn't try to find a solution they just say that they will refund me my Cashapp money which for some reason is taking a lot of time. You cannot call them because they're never available but they can call you whenever they want; I mean? Seriously. The only reason I'm even giving stars is that it wasn't expensive.

We appreciate your feedback and yes we did call to advise the car assigned to your appointment was unavailable due to unforeseen mechanical issues. Yes, we have other vehicles that were assigned to our students who are completing our driver education program and are required to use our training vehicles (training vehicles are not required for MVA testing). Your refund has been initiated. We have no control over how long a financial institution takes to put money back into an account especially when the transaction was initiated over the weekend. If you attempted to call our office, the voicemail gives clear instructions on how to reach us. We have never gotten an email inquiry or voicemail from you so there was nothing to respond to. Again, we appreciate your feedback and hope our response provides more clarity.

My first time driving I was so nervous and she Helped me tremendously I’ve completed all my lessons and feel like I’ve been driving for years I enjoyed the virtual class as well. We appreciate all feedback from our current and former students. According to our records, you transferred from our program July 2021 and received a refund for services not rendered and the necessary paperwork to complete driver education with another program as requested. We are not sure what we can do to assist you going forward as you are no longer a BLISS student but we do wish you the best of luck.

Negative experience: Terrible communication - they make it impossible to book behind-the-wheel lessons. They say it is not possible to make appointments by email, but they never pick up their phone. They set their phone hours to be 11 am - 3 pm one day of the week and that day changes randomly without notice. Even though I've attempted to contact them during their specified hours, they still don't pick up / call you back - I've made tried making 40 calls just today during their open hours. I've requested for a refund, but they are not responding.

We apologize for any inconvenience and if you’re not satisfied with our services, we’d gladly issue you a refund for the incomplete portion of driver education.
Negative experience: Theoretical classes are really good and fun BUT when it comes to behind the wheel classes it takes forever to get an appointment. You cannot even reach the academy!
Thank you for your feedback. When students start driver education with a learners permit, once all classroom work is complete, driving lessons are scheduled. When students get their permit after the fact, we are unaware until the student informs us. We communicate with students via email and telephone advising that phone calls are made Wednesday and/or Friday. When unexpected things occur (bad weather, sick staff, etc) it places a strain on our overall business operations and changes have to be made so those phones may not happen in your time as there are a multitude of students enrolled in our program. This is a trying time for all of us during this pandemic and we ask everyone for patience. If you are not please with our services, we’d certainly issue a refund for the incomplete portion of driver education and you can pick up with in-car lessons at another school.

Fantastic experience: The location is convenient for driving and public transportation. The owner/instructor Dawn Simmons was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. She gave us assistance from the first day of class and the support didn't end until my son got his driver's license. I highly recommend BLISS Driving Academy.
