Fantastic experience: The instructors I had there were all wonderful and engaging teachers. I didn’t feel nervous or pressured when driving, but also felt that they cared about my improvement and had my best interest at heart. Although I did not take my drivers test with them, I felt that they helped me to not only pass, but to be a better and SAFE driver.
Fantastic experience: The only lady that’s here is truly wonderful, shes patient and very reassuring and i think that’s what every drivers test needs :)
Positive experience: Not off to a great start so far, just wanted help signing up in person Only to find out I have to wait 30m to to only have 15m of help (if they don't just give me the website like I didn't Google how to get here.
Negative experience: The tester sucks in that he didn't know it's no school day in the county today and there's no lights on or any students either. He failed my son's driving test for his lack of knowledge of what's going on in the community or schools. My son is a student and knows well no school today and told the tester. However, instead of fixing his mistake, he said that it's not public holidays. He really should check the county's school calendar instead which lists all no school days clearly.
Hi Mary, the license test standards, and the test route, are set forth by the state of Colorado, and our drive testers are certified by the state to observe and report to those standards. DriveSafe does not design the test rules, nor do we decide the test route. While each county may vary on school zone speed enforcement during specific hours or holidays, the purpose of the test is to assess the driver’s ability to safely adjust to speed limits in residential, school, and or construction zones as posted. Regardless of whether school was in session, recognizing then maintaining proper speed is essential for demonstrating safe driving practices in a variety of scenarios. We understand your frustration with the outcome, but please note that there were additional violations during the test beyond the school zone speed. Fantastic experience: Diana was great! However, I wish she wouldn’t have given me four 3’s, especially when one 3 was because she told me to turn left. When I started I saw that it was a one way the other way. Other than that, she was helpful and kind. Erin, in the office was super helpful in finding answers to my questions on the internet. Over all, it was a good and positive experience.
Negative experience: Had the unfortunate situation of an accident on the highway causing a traffic jam while trying to get there. Tried to call the office was told that there was no one there and then they guess they would email. When we arrived, we were admittedly late because of the unexpected traffic, but there was no need by the present staff to be rude about it and treat us like we were scum for being late. I advise people to use a different office because this was an unpleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Diane is just simply the BEST. had a very hectic and stressful day, from forgetting my permit to going back home and coming back to the center, I was overwhelmed. She waited for me, with a smile on her face and reassured me we would be fine, we did the test apart from me PASSING. The energy she exuded was calming and she quickly managed to get my head back on track. Diane you are the BEST.

Negative experience: I got scammed out of 150$, I called and tried to set up an appointment, the lady said the closest available date she had open was the 27th, of October, at 11:30. I say ok and pay the fee. I wake up this morning and drive to the appointment you guys schedule for me, but you guys are closed. I'm right now figuring out how to file a lawsuit for 150$ instead of getting my license. Thank you drive safe your amazing!

Negative experience: I wanted to enroll in a driving school and my choice was “drive safe”. I tried to contact the consultant by phone for some time this morning, but I was on standby all the time. so I decided to come directly to the school itself to chat offline. however it was closed! I came at 2:30 on a Thursday, they were scheduled to close at 4, but they were already closed at 2:30. Although the sign says "open"

Fantastic experience: Went in for a test real quick and Josh was more than helpful in doing so. One of the best workers at Drivesafe!
Positive experience: I thought I had put in a review a few years ago when I actually completed the program. Oops! Anyway, Marla is one of the most personable and amazing people you could ever have the pleasure of encountering. She made the process 10x less stressful as I acquired both my permit and license over a 17 month period between 2015-2016. On the day of my driver's test, I was unable to make it to the testing facility due to my mom having been in a car accident a few days prior. Marla went out of her way to pick me up from her house on her day off, and drove me to the facility herself to make sure I can still test, and I passed! She is the absolute sweetest. I will say the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the other people I did end up encountering throughout my course; specifically my 2nd and 3rd practice drive. I can't remember the person on my second drive, but I do remember the name of the person on the 3rd. Mike Alessi. His and the other gentleman's condescension through the entirety of the drives made it hard to focus, and could've been partially to blame for any points lost. However in the grand scheme of things, that doesn't really matter seeing as I still passed. Just don't think it's the best idea to have people who aren't the most patient or have good temperament coaching new drivers who may not have ever been behind the wheel. All else aside, I would 100% recommend, and over the years have recommended DriveSafe to many of my friends, family, and colleagues and have specifically made sure they reach out to Marla to ensure they are taken care of to the fullest extent!

Negative experience: This school is very expensive. I spent a total of 1,500 dollars here, but I haven't passed. The instructor and examiner here are vampires.

For those that may not have the flexibility to afford our packages at their upfront cost, we do offer a payment program that enables customers to pay for their packages in three equal payments over the course of 3 months. Negative experience: I pay 525 for the driver course, after 3 lessons the instructor said you are doing great in each lesson or 2 hour driving after that took the driving test and fail twice because new rules the instructor never mention on his course and now they 105 dollars more for another driving test i think is ridiculous the amount of money they want to charge for another driving test after you pay 525 and the lady the answer the phone is very rude and have no education at all she said the she work from home and cant help me because she have someone at the front door i will not recommend this driving school to no one

DriveSafe Driving Schools offers a multitude of services, the defensive driving class you are referring to is a 5-hour program that takes place on a driving range that provides opportunities for new drivers to learn skills that will assist them whenever they encounter challenging situations on the road. This includes how to control a vehicle during a skid as well as evasive maneuvers. This may not be the right course for your needs, so I would suggest calling our main line (303)-721-8881 and have one of our staff members find the right product for your needs.

Fantastic experience: My daughter participated in the classroom course so she could get her permit at 15. I was nervous because I didn't see her being thrilled about spending 4 days of her summer sitting through a full-day class. She ended up really enjoying it. They talked about the dangers of texting and drinking while driving and I love that they will have the kids do more around this when she takes the defensive driving class in a few months. The teacher was better than most of those she encounters and did a good job relating to the kids / facilitating conversation. The classes are costly but so far I'm impressed with the classroom course and am optimistic that the driving classes she'll take soon will be worth it.

Negative experience: I never write reviews, so yall can take my word on this. Customer service is absolutely appalling. First time calling in, and Jack is so rude and such a smart-ass, I wanted to just hang up the phone. Second time I call, on Friday June 8th, i was curious about hours and days they are open. PSA: these guys dont have their hours posted anywhere. NOT EVEN ON THE WEBSITE!!! Anyway, I'm answered by some lady. The conversation was much more pleasant, but she told me that they are open every day except Wednesday and friday. End of conversation. Today, I call in around 12pm, on June 9th, it's a Saturday. I call in, answered by a different employee, asking about the hours. She proceeds to tell me that they're closed on weekends. She told me she even called around to other offices. TL;DR: yall need better customer service

Fantastic experience: My kids went through the Drivers Education classes, behind the wheel lessons, took their drive test and Defensive Skills Day and had a great experience! The teachers were highly engaging and cared about the students and their safety. My teens learned how to recover from a skid at the DSD event which they have found very useful in Colorado. They had a blast driving through the low speed obstacle course trying to beat each other’s time. They even practiced driving in reverse and parking! I highly recommend DriveSafe to families with teens who are becoming drivers. I plan to contact College Drive as my daughter prepares for the ACT next year and decides what college she wants to attend.

Negative experience: Wheat Ridge, Co location. I bought a drivers ed course for one of my older relatives, about $430. About 2 months after pre paying for this course my relative decided they just weren’t comfortable with driving. I called Drive Safe for a refund and they said refunds after so much time were subject to a 25% fee, like a restocking fee, aka they already spent the money? I called about 5 times to talk to whoever was in charge and so odd, but that person never EVER called me back. Not even to say “we’re keeping your money, goodbye”. Well that’s just isn’t good business but like a food desert you don’t have to be a good business if you’re the only one around. Take the money and run, am I right guys!?.

We suspect you are confusing us with another driving school. DriveSafe does not have a 25% “restocking fee” as your review suggests, and we honor all refund requests as soon as they are submitted. We went through our student records to see if anyone with your name had signed someone up, and were unable to find any matches. Additionally, our accounting team went through all credit card transactions since June of 2017 and there was no one by your name who made a credit card payment.
If you do indeed have us confused with another driving school, please remove the reviews you left on Google and Yelp and instead leave it for the intended company. We take pride in our transparency and customer service.
If, however, this is a genuine mistake on our part, please call our main line at 303-721-8881. Anyone will be happy to assist you and process your refund request.

Negative experience: Tl;Dr - 31 yo male. I passed. Instructor was a needless jerk. Mala is the best thing in the company. My reason for visiting was due to a snafu with my previous license (my case was so f'ed the director of the Colorado Dept. of Revenue oversaw it personally), I was forced to retake the driving test... As a 31 yo guy, I totally get having to adhere to the letter of the law for every rule of the road as someone in your position. But there's no need to be a jerk about it. When you say "A 21 would be a fail today, and you got a 20." And I say "Oh no, does that mean I failed?" And you say "A 21 would be a fail today, and you got a 20." THAT DOES NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION. And is clearly purposefully misleading. Don't be a jerk to people in an already stressful situation. People come to you either nervous for their first driving test, or annoyed that they have to retest for whatever reason. Making a person sit in a room alone after a test, and then coming in starting immediately with rhetorical questions like "Where are the acceptable places to put your hands according to the law in Colorado?" It makes already stressed and nervous people only more needlessly nervous. But I'm sure you know that. It's why you do it. Just start with "I observed your hands leaving 10 & 2," and we can have a discussion about it like adults. Throwing spears and shade like "You only got your permit this morning," is purposefully and knowingly belittling people in an already stressful situation for absolutely no reason. No, actually I've been driving for 15 years. I just got a permit this morning because it's the first step in renewing your license. The next step being your purposefully bullying attitude. IDK who teased or beat you up in high school man, but it wasn't me. So stop treating me like it was. Once again while I understand it's important you are thorough, you have the power to give some people the best days of their lives, thus far, and others the relief from the stresses of the DMV. No need to take advantage of them. One last thing. This is Colorado. Yes, it was precipitating in the hours leading up to the test, but like Colorado, it died away in time for dry roads. When you push your secretary via text to cancel the test because of what the weather MIGHT be in a few hours, it's obvious you just don't want to come back to work. People aren't stupid. I see through your facade. You're a dick. All that said, Mala saves a star. She's kind, understanding, approachable, and considerate. She offered me the classroom when I arrived early so I didn't have to sit with my laptop on my lap. She made me smile wide walking out the door after the test, despite the bitter, bitter taste in my mouth. I'm sure there's a certificate needed to administer driving tests in Colorado. Get Mala through it ASAP and get rid of the needless jerk.
