O'neill's Driving School

Fantastic experience: I recommend Mr barbee. For the complaints about the paperwork it’s not the driving schools fault it is due to richmond taking long to ship the paperwork back to the dmv. I have improved so much while taking this course and it is super popular around where I live. Mr barbee is a great teacher and a great person as well.

Fantastic experience: O' Neill's driving school was a great experience for my son. Highly recommended! Patricia Turnage is a fantastic driving instructor & is excellent with the kids. You won't be disappointed!

Negative experience: Paid a lot of money for my daughter's drivers license, she passed onell's test and waited and waited for dmv to send the license but when we went to dmv they informed us that onealls never sent in the paperwork. Tried numerous times to get in touch with the driving school but never got any answers or calls back. They do not deliver on their claims. Crooks that will steal your money!!!

Negative experience: The woman at the front is very attitudal and not very descriptive. They also don't have the correct information online. They will waste your time and money you can't get any clear information from them. On top of this they don't take card they only take cash the place is very unprofessional

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience at this driving school. My instructor, Ms Pat, was terrific. I was waiting for the school day to be over so she could pick me up and drive around, and I could tell her about my day and how school was going. She was a great instructor and had terrific tips and tricks for driving. I know all the other drivers are fantastic, too

Positive experience: Very difficult to get ahold of. There office hours are conflicting. Takes days to get in touch with anyone. My son had a great experience though with Mr speigel.

Negative experience: Could not recommend based on our experience. We expected the behind the wheel experience to give our new driver that last boost of confidence to really prepare her to drive independently. Instead, because the instructor, Ms. Turnage, seemed to respond to all her questions with rudeness and harshness, she dreaded every day, could not wait for it to be over, and actually seemed to lose confidence in herself through the week. She was actually in tears when I picked her up one day. On top of all that, Ms. Turnage was late to the meeting time 6 days out of 7, to the tune of about 20 minutes on average. Then, once the process was complete, my daughter received a letter from the DMV stating her form had been filled out incorrectly and she could not get her license. We arranged a time and date to meet at the office to complete a new form, and the person staffing the office was late for that meeting as well.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with O'neills Driving School and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a driving school to use! Having Mrs. Turnage instruct me behind the wheel was amazing. She made me feel very confident while driving and also instructed with a lot of patience!

Fantastic experience: Rose is truly an incredible person and driving instructor. She is trustworthy, caring, supportive, and truly a pleasure. My daughter raved about her and had a good time while learning to drive. Gaining knowledge, confidence, and experience behind the wheel is priceless and I don't think many driving instructors are as knowledgeable and sweet as she is. She was also flexible for us with a tight schedule. This school is the one to use!!! She came to us (in Williamsburg) which was very helpful.

From Rose being wonderful with the testing to Ron being amazing with the behind the wheel driving portion- grateful for incredible experience of learning more and patience, kindness, professionalism. Ron is just wonderful with the kids and allows them to be themselves, be comfortable, ask questions openly and leave the week of driving having learned more in a deeper way. He’s able to break down things like parallel parking in a scientific way with precise accuracy so the student gets it every time. Thank you so much and all the very best to you all!

Negative experience: Tried to call for weeks… no answer, no vm returned mailbox full. What a joke, stay away from their business! Called on the phone to inquire about services and I been told I am having a bad attitude for simply saying I been waiting for a vm retun for days now.

Negative experience: My driving instructor filled out my application wrong. I called him 3 months after completing the behind the wheel because my license hadn't come in, he assured me it was a DMV issue. I make an appointment to go to the DMV 2 weeks later and to my surprise, it was a driving instructor issue. Don't go to this school all they will do is waste your time, lie to you, and waste your money because you will have to pay extra in insurance thinking you have a license coming when, in fact, you don't. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE! Contacted them through email and got a reply saying will start on the 24th of February, I had no other information so I tried contacting them again. No response. So I go there, but the office was closed which is nowhere to be seen on the website. Then decided to call in and ask them when I will be picked up and any other info, but the lady said, "Oh we don't have you down to start tomorrow. But, I can put you down for next month."

Fantastic experience: I had Coach Hester as my teacher and he was fantastic! i had driving anxiety and in just a weeks worth of lessons he helped me overcome it quickly but at my pace with friendly but serious instruction. I highly recommend O'neill's to anyone of any age who wants to learn how to drive :)

Fantastic experience: My daughter took the Online Driver's Education Course through O'Neill's. She received a quality education, and they were extremely helpful with scheduling her proctored final exam and with providing the documentation afterward. I would definitely work with them again and will recommend them to my friends and family!

Negative experience: The driving instructor made 1 simple mistake on my daughter's paperwork. The owner and office staff has taken months respond/correct and still no VA driver's license.

Fantastic experience: Called back in March to get my son in the school unfortunately because of the high volume of success, my son didn't get in until JUL but worth the wait. Mr. Jay Barbee was an awesome instructor. My son really enjoyed being behind the wheel. He said Mr. Barbee was easy to understand and knew what was expected while driving with him. Mr. Barbee's communication with me was excellent and appreciated!! Thank you Mr.Barbee and O'Neills!!

Fantastic experience: My best experience ever with Rose , she is very passionate,thoughtful and awesome lady.Not only did she teach me how to drive, but she also taught me how to be patient and having good manners at driving. She planned to teach every day certain things especially in challenging places. I just enjoyed learning with her and had experience that driving in America is not stressful. I would recommend to everyone that has a young teenager, she knows how to teach them driving with a personal touch.

Fantastic experience: I had Mr.Hester for my driving instructor and it was wonderful. He talks to you without being nasty about it and overall seems like a great man. You can tell he loves what he do and take pride doing it. He always told you if you made and mistake and always said it respectfully. Overall this is a wonderful driving school to go to if you don’t want to wait on dmv. The appointment was set for September but they called and ask if I was willing to start early. Great consumer service. I will recommend them to anyone. Thank you again Mr.Hester.

Fantastic experience: They were very accommodating to my daughter’s schedule. They picked her up at our home And she completed her behind the wheel training very quickly. Instruction was very thorough and she is prepared to drive now. She also took their online course which was very comprehensive. Good prices.

Fantastic experience: I’m totally surprised at this comment since we have used O’Neill’s Driving School for all my children. They have been wonderful with customer service and ensuring the paperwork was process. I do know that it takes 5 to 6 months to receive the hard copy license and the student must go to court to receive the license. Perhaps it was the way you proceeded with accusing them of not processing the correct paperwork. This makes me sad that DMV did not do their job in further checking the issue. They are a wonderful Driving school and my children learned a lot.

Negative experience: Customer Service is non existent as far as office staff and owners. Behind the wheel instructor was excellent.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Took a week off without telling me she told me the day of when she was already out of town I had asked her when was she coming around 3 "I'm out of town sorry" Never gave an ideal time when she was coming she texted me like 30 mins before showing up. I felt robbed of my money. I still don't have my license. she gives you 7 classes (if you have your green card) on my 7day I didn't quilfy for my license because she did took about a 10 day break between my classes that I had with her. It's all about money to her don't go to her don't waist your money.

Negative experience: They postponed my driving school for two days in a row without calling? So I waited outside for two days in a row and no one showed up? Call jerry's driving school instead at least they'll show up.
