Wheelie University - Wheelie School

Fantastic experience: Wheelie University in Ramona / San Diego, led by the Universities owner Brian, assisted by Marguerite, was fantastic! They provided clear guidance, making learning to wheelie on the Triumph Speed Triple achievable. I left with the confidence and techniques necessary to start practicing on my own bike. Highly recommended this training! 10/10

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience yesterday at Wheelie Univ. First and foremost I want to say that I have maybe 15 years of motorcycle experience but nearly 0 wheelie experience. I was a bit nervous going into the class but also excited. The class size was 8 people, which is perfect and there was a good range of skill levels. So... Safety. Safety is paramount in this class and it is treated that way. We all did instruction first, obviously, but the tone was never one of fear or concern. It actually helped alleviate some of my nervousness. Wheelie Univ. uses a device that will prevent you from looping the bike. That aside, it's up to you to learn the skills and listen to what feedback Brian provides and put it into action. Many other courses of this type use something that will compensate for too much. The result being that you leave those schools with a false sense of confidence. With Wheelie U, the only help you're getting is not looping the bike. Otherwise, its up to you. That said I felt like I left with a better sense of the various factors that can lead to a crash as well as a siiick wheelie. The instruction was sincere and productive. I never felt rushed to go beyond where I was comfortable. And I had a great time discussing both technique but also just random stuff about riding with the rest of the class as well as Brian, Kavi, and Marguerite. Brian runs the school. It's his baby. So he cares greatly about your experience but also he cares about you leaving with skills that you can apply. Also, he's just a rad person to talk to and super interesting. A few other notes: this took place at a drag strip. We were closed off from other people interrupting us. It was a controlled environment that felt very safe. That kind of stuff matters to me when I'm trying something new and unfamiliar and dangerous. I recommend that anyone taking this class has pre-existing motorcycle experience that they can rely on. You need to have a familiarity with motorcycles as well as with basic riding techniques, but otherwise the class gives you everything you need to become a better rider as well as someone who enjoys doing wheelies. The smile on everyone's face at the end of the day was crystal clear. We had absolutely 0 incidents and everyone walked away a bit more confident. You're not going to become a master at this skill in one day. However, you will definitely leave with an understanding of how to practice and improve. Instead of rambling on more about what a good time I had. I will just tell you that I highly recommend doing this class. My wife and I drove down from Sacramento to the San Diego area, so it was a little bit of a haul for us, however, there were people who had flown in from Illinois for just one day to do this class. It's totally worth it and you will be a better rider by the time you're done. Plus you'll be able to do dank wheelies. Good people, great class, top tier instruction. Cannot recommend this enough.

Fantastic experience: Great experience, Brian and I forgot the name of his assistant were very nice and helpful. I could get the front wheel up, but I was “slamming”, and was very scared of doing it. I feel much more comfortable with the whole process now, the cutting the throttle, throttling, and then finding the balance point. Would definitely recommend Wheelie University
