Fantastic experience: I feel like I learned way more in the class then I learned taking my actual drivers test. My instructor was Al Turner. He made jokes and related each session to a real life situation. I would highly recommend this Company for defensive driving courses.

Fantastic experience: Honestly, everyone in my class thought the 6 hour class was going to be boring! However, it was the complete opposite. We had a blast. The instructor Dr. Averhart, was so funny and he made the learning material fun. By the end of the class we all felt like we had gained new friends! I’d definitely take this course again!

Fantastic experience: At first, I dreaded taking a risk reduction course but A-1 driving school did a GREAT JOB making the class interesting and interactive. I enjoyed the class and received a lot of great information to help me in the future.

Negative experience: I went to the office during office hours and nobody was there. Obviously they didn’t answer the phone.

Fantastic experience: I give A1 driving school a 5-star review. The class was facilitated with cheerfulness in a great atmosphere. The videos and workbook was very informative. I recommend A1 Driving School to anyone who has to take the Risk Reduction class.

Negative experience: I was scheduled a appointment on Sunday, 15 October and no one‘s here at 10:30 to 530. Been waiting for an hour and a half got here early to find out they’re not open on Sundays got on the website and schedule it for Sunday they had a opening for Sunday and I’m not here.

Negative experience: Myesha C. At the Riverdale location was very unprofessional and rude. I emailed her regarding a refund and she gave me the run around I constantly stayed in touch about my refund and she hung the phone up on me the last conversation when I was calling to be updated on my request. My instructor was great that's the only upside to this situation. In the end I got what I set out for my certificate!

Fantastic experience: I don’t know if you could find a better instructor than Mr. Juan McDonald. He made the whole virtual experience pretty painless. He was very professional and informative. I would recommend this school to anyone who needs these services.

Fantastic experience: I only enrolled in the class in order to reduce points and find favor with the judge for an upcoming speeding ticket court date. However, I was extremely surprised how much information I was able to gain from the course. There were times in the course I laughed, got frustrated and sometimes even shed tears by the information that was being presented. I believe this is a course that all drivers need to take; no matter how long you have been driving or how clean your driving record is. I'd also like to take time to shout out the course instructor, Mr. Giboney. He was such a nice man that took time to break down course material, give real life experiences to the material and even encourage the students that were there for various reasons; motivating them to continue to push forward despite their past and present obstacles. What a great guy!

Fantastic experience: I took a 6 hour driving course with Imani Hines as my instructor and I am pleased. My instructor was informative and took me to different places to gain more experience. She also helped with driving on the interstate and with parking skills. I ended up acing my driving test. Thank you Imani! On another note the price for the 6 hour driving is a bit steep so A-1 might want to look into that.

Fantastic experience: A-1 driving school was great in my opinion. Very informative and Mr. Juan Mcdonald kept everything interesting and was kind and driven to help each person in the class to ultimately make better low-risk choices. I highly recommend A-1 driving school. 10/10!

Negative experience: I’m only booking with location because that’s the only one a saw with a time slot for the these week. Long story short, I was supposed to take my driving lesson this morning, and before we could leave my instructor, Imani Hines, cussed me out and kicked out the car because I told her not to speak to me disrespectfully, calling me little girl when I’m 24 years old. This triggered an anxiety attack in me and I almost went to the hospital. Thankfully, I calmed down enough to talk to someone about it and they said to just reschedule. If only you could get time back. Imani Hines, you don’t ever have to worry about me again. You be blessed. But as for everyone else, if you’d like to be spoken to with respect and dignity, I suggest you skip her. Honestly depending on how this next appointment goes will really determine how I look at this location.

Fantastic experience: Initial call, Set up, Customer service, emails, and Instructor Juan McDonald made the experience as good as can be given the circumstances.

Negative experience: excuse the user name, a week ago I paid $150 for 2 hours and never received any service nor a call back after I’ve called multiple times. i called the company to ask for a refund and they transferred me to a voicemail

Negative experience: Save your money don’t come here!!! I had Ms.Consuela as my instructor and she had an attitude. I didn’t learn anything i just drove around a neighborhood the whole time. While i was driving she was on her phone playing games and answering phone calls. We never went over parking or other things stated on the website. Also it’s difficult trying to get in contact with anyone at this location. * I meant Miss Consuela*

Negative experience: I want my money back. I’ve been calling this place for months. I didn’t finish my lessons because the instructor, Imani, was extremely rude to me. She also yelled at me a lot. When you take these classes and you pay close to 1k for them, you expect teachers with patience. I could have had someone else yell at me and teach me for free

Fantastic experience: My Driving lessons with Ms Imani and Ms Victoria was great. Ms Imani taught me how to drive on the road and do left and right turns and started me on parking. I feel very safe driving with her. Ms Victoria helped me soo much with parallel park and two point turn! She taught me some tips and tricks to get it right every time and I am so so grateful for her. She is also wonderful to talk to and makes the lesson very fun and engaging. She really helps to lower my stress with driving and driving with an instructor by being very nice and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: My daughter's experience at A1 driving school was great. Her instructor, Ms. Consuela made her experience very comfortable and relaxing. Ms. Consuela was very easy to talk to...if I had a concern about my daughter's lessons she quickly responded in a professional manner. My daughter received her license last month. Thank you Ms.Consuela!!!

Negative experience: The instructor with the driving school Consuela Lowery she yelled at me because I made a few mistakes while practice driving and proceeded to go on a rant about students she had in the past were horrible students. Later on during the lesson consuela lowery proceeded to curse me out. Her behavior was so unprofessional and out of line.

Negative experience: My experience at A1 driving was horrible this time I feel like it was a waste of money and time because the the instructor C Scott Anderson was NOT patient kept yelling and getting loud and was on the phone most of the time he was not really explaining anything and was telling me I needed a new instructor and I feel as if you should be trying to build me up so I can be confident when driving not trying to break me down and it was just so uncomfortable being in the car with him I was just ready for my lesson to over and I never really felt like that before.

Fantastic experience: The time spent in my class was well worth it and very informative. I learned a lot of new things that are very important when it comes to driving. I took this class to remove pts from my license. My instructor was very informative and knew exactly what he was talking about. Great course to take!!

Fantastic experience: The process was quick and easy. I registered online the Friday before class and showed up the next day only having to sign in. The lady at the front desk was super kind. The class was quick and easy and the proximity to restaurants for the lunch break is amazing. I'd definitely recommend this school for defensive driving courses or whatever else your driving education needs may be!

I reccomend this school to every one I know. Even though its 6 hours its worth it. Plus it helps you if you need points reduction off your license, or If your looking to help lower your insurance.

Fantastic experience: My experience at A-1 driving school was very great. I attended the Defensive Driving course which was 6 hours. My teacher, Mr. Lester, made the class fun and kept the entire class entertained throughout the whole 6 hours. I recommend anyone to A-1. Everything was easy to book. The customer service is unbeatable and everyone there is so nice and helpful!

My instructor, Mr. Lester, was very kind and made the class not only interesting but fun ad well since we were in there for 6 hours. Signing up was easy as well. Fantastic experience: Excellent school to learn how to drive. The receptionist, Sally was nice and very helpful getting me signed up. I got my license after only two lessons. Mrs. Sharon Wilson-Johnson and Imani Hines were great instructors and made me alot more comfortable behind the wheel when it was time to take my test. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND this school.
