Negative experience: My son took the test 3 weeks ago passed the test was told they would call to schedule road test. Called multiple times to schedule no one answered When called 3 weeks later to ask why hadn’t been called they said they were only doing underage people during the holiday. Was told to go somewhere else to do road test if was in a rush after already paying $450. Why take more people if the people that paid weeks ago aren’t being serviced properly?

Fantastic experience: Very good driving school

Fantastic experience: Took the 14 hour course and road test with them, very relieved to find all the people I’ve talked to and got behind the wheel with at angelwood were very kind, understanding and most importantly able to remain calm even when I got a little panicked (especially with backing up). Not being jumped at helped me a lot with being able to correct my mistakes. The classroom portion was finished in one day and I got my 4 driving lessons done in about 2 weeks, then only had to wait a day to do my road test. It was a pleasure learning from Mr Tom and Mr Chuck, would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: TOOK MY WRITTEN PART GOT A 87 AN PASSED THE DRIVING PART WITH FLYING COLORS I RECOMMEND ANGELWOOD FOR EVERYONE

Negative experience: I’ve taken my drivers test and finished everything over a month ago, and still haven’t received a call because the lady still hasn’t done some simple paperwork, and whenever I call they say they’ll get it but never do, DO NOT COME HERE!

Negative experience: Looking for quality? Go somewhere else. Been calling three weeks straight, no return calls. I think they’re open for one day a month

Fantastic experience: a few months ago i wrote a review out of anger and that is not me and i would really love to apologize, I'm truly happy I went to this driving school because they actually teach and talk to you through everything, you cant be cocky or a know it all, you have to wiling to learn and do the work meaning practice meaning you have to practice on your own! overall great school. a lil slow when it comes to the driving but a great school!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve heard good opinions from Angelwood from friends & family that came here & seen the bad reviews people gave them, so I came in with an open mind and wouldn’t let other opinions influence how I felt. I walked in my first day to get the 6 hour classroom instruction done & with the way Mr. Chuck communicated how the day would work out & how he spoke to us it gave me good peace of mind that it would be a very laidback class, which it was. Mr. Chuck used personal experiences to give us a better understanding of what he was teaching & it definitely helped the day go by a lot easier. I called to schedule my 8 hours of driving & was scheduled from 9-11 am from Mon-Thurs, and my driver was Mr. Tom. I was picked up each day around the same time (8:45-9) and brought home 2 hours later. Our route was down Belle Chasse Hwy & LA 23 for the first 2 days to get used to being in traffic & staying in the lanes. Mr. Tom was professional yet very personable, definitely helped calm any nerves down. Each day went by very smooth & it really made me comfortable behind the wheel. The road test at the end was given by Mr. Chuck, which was pretty easy & a general demonstration you can maneuver through the streets safely. When you get in the car with anyone from Angelwood, they aren’t an instructor that’ll breathe down your neck and make you feel bad about any small mistakes you may make, they’re there to do one thing, and that’s to be a comfortable & confident driver. They want to see you pass, and the best way to do that is to keep the student calm & levelheaded, which they did an amazing job at. Thank y’all for teaching me these past couple weeks, it was a very easy process getting it all done!

Negative experience: This place is a joke, my driving section was holding after 3 months without any contact. Never ever trust them.

Negative experience: Anytime you try to call they don’t answer I finished my driving section over three weeks ago and I still haven’t heard back from them no one ever picks up the phone

Fantastic experience: Omg!!! I dont know where to start!!!!! Mr. Chuck was very patient with my son with everything and he was great at keeping in contact about everything during COVID-19!!! He made sure my son got his license and that he was ready for the streets. My son was scared to his licenses and about being on the road, but after going here he’s ready & always willing to drive me around!!!! I just want to THANK YOU guys AGAIN!!!!

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend no one to come here my daughter have been finish her Driving test since beginning of July and still never called her or contacted her about the next step. I paid $400 and she dont know how to park or backup ! A waste of my money and time.I keep calling no answer!!! They saying there backed up but they shouldn’t take too many if they cant handle it!!

Negative experience: I did not learn much while driving with the instructor (all he had me do was go straight on the road). i did not learn how to reverse, merge lanes, but to go straight. I called to schedule my 3rd driving session and the man was like "do you understand that around 12pm & 1pm there are too many cars for you, you are just a beginner and it will be dangerous for you" Well how will I learn to drive on busy roads if i pay $400 to learn how to drive in those circumstances not to just go straight on empty roads. Another was the driving instructor had to go meet up with one of his family members at the police building for his nephew and he just told me it will be quick and so i waited for him and his sister or whatever to finish their business and waited in the car by myself for over 30 minutes even tho i was supposed to be driving.

Negative experience: The April lady is very rude..told us to come back the next day at 7, noon, or after 4pm to schedule. We came back before 7 am and Chuck said "no, i did not tell you to come today. come back after 4 because the lady is not here( even tho the lady told us to come at that time)." Very rude and unorganized. Came back after 4 pm and the Chuck boy said "who told yall you can come in right now. April is still not here I'm not sure if she told you if you can come.

Negative experience: paid $380 for Nothing you go here at your own risk bc I didn’t learn anything from them

Fantastic experience: The best driving school I’ve ever been. Mr.Chuck and Mr.Tom were the ones I had for drivers ed. In the classroom Mr.Chuck talks about what is have favorite were “Pedestrians” after that people were class with me all laughed. Mr.Tom is the greatest instructor of behind the wheel test. I scored well on the behind the wheel test and got myself the permit. For those people looking for The best school come to Angelwood they treated you like family!

Fantastic experience: I was going off of the reviews when picking schools, but my coworker helped me pick this school. Please do not listen to the negative comments. This is a family business that’s been there for a long time and the owner is sooo nice and professional. The 6 hour written part does not even feel as long as it is and it does not feel like being a classroom. They accept walk ins and it’s $360 for the 14 hr class. They work with your schedule !!

Fantastic experience: Took my 14 hour course two weeks ago and I now have my license. I was given the right test and no one was rude. Had a really nice conversation with the owner. She knows her stuff and helped put me in the right direction. Glad I listened and was at the DMV for 7:30.

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time or money, they don’t tell you that you have to pay 40$ for the road test. The driving intructors are rude, they don’t prepare you for the written test, the road instructor aggressively grabes the wheel when your driving. They have road rage and Bad attitude. It took me 4 months to get license because they don’t call you or answer the phone. Money Scammers. DO NOT COME HERE

Negative experience: Very Horrible don’t go here any where else but here. Instructors have road rage, and for as road test taking he has road rage while driving and a horrible rude attitude before you even start to drive. Don’t waste your money on this place, I would give it a 0 star if that was a choice.

Positive experience: This school came highly recommended by my friends. I was very skeptical about the reviews. I heard some things about the other local schools as well. My daughters friend said the class was boring, but she learned a lot. Most kids think school is boring, so I made the choice to send her. She really didn't take long to get her driving in and she truly learned a lot. In life people are quick to speak the bad, but hardly ever post the positive. I am very thankful for my friends advice as we made a GREAT choice for our daughter. She has been driving us around for six months now and drives really well. The old people say believe nothing you hear and half of what you see! Thanks so much for making me feel better about my daughter being on the road!

Negative experience: They told me 10-12 weeks. Even then I was thinking that was a long time. But I took the class and I have been waiting 4 months now. Everytime I call they say "oh we'll get back to you" or "I'm going to talk to the driving instructor and see when they're avaliable." She never got back to me and I doubt she talked to them. Don't use Anglewood for your driving course.

Negative experience: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. THEY DON'T EXPLAIN TO YOU THAT YOUR NOT TAKING ALL THE CLASSES IN THE SAME WEEK; WHY TAKE ONE CLASS THEN A MONTH LATER COME BACK AND TAKE THE NEXT THREE CLASSES MAKES NO SENSE. IF YOU GO TO THIS SCHOOL YOU HAVE TO PAY $40 FOR THE STATE TEST! YOU CAN NOT GO TO THE DMV IF YOU TAKE DRIVERS ED AT THIS SCHOOL. AGAIN THAT ISNT TOLD UNTIL THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY. THE OWNER/MANAGE CALLS ME AND TELLS ME I WAS RUDE AND THEN TELLS ME SHE WILL GIVE ME A REFUND BUT AT THE SAME TIME TRYING TO GET ME TO STAY. LIKE YOUR RUDE FOR STARTING OFF A CONVERSATION SAYING THAT I WAS RUDE. SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE REVIEWS FROM THE BEGINNING!!!!!

Positive experience: Just completed my classes this week. Classes were boring, but I learned a lot. My friend went to another driving school and they watched movies and were given answers to the test. We had to pass the test here on our own. Very friendly people here.

Negative experience: This place sucks worse place ever!!! They are a joke. It's been at least 2 and a half to 3 months and my daughter is still waiting on them to get to her final driving stage so she can receive her licence!!!! This place is a money racket!!! They take in to many people and are way under staffed and they take it out on the customers!!!! If we could do it over we would definitely not go to Angel Wood!!!!

Negative experience: They made me pay for the 14 hour course and after I payed and signed they told me they didnt have enough cars. They gave me the 6 hour class (which didnt even last 6 hours) and they made me wait a month and a half to take the behind the wheel classes and when I called to ask they were extremely rude towards me. DO NOT go there! they are the worst driving school on the westbank.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly employees and efficient classes. I'm surprised I learned as much as I did in the 4 class span. I really recommend going tot his place.
