Positive experience: Hard to find, located down a side hallway, by the barbershop upstairs.

Negative experience: Hands down the worst driving school in pg county. The class was fine, but once you go on the road is when things take a turn. My driving trainer was sleep half the time or reading a newspaper. He even gotten cursed out by a driver on the road because the break lights weren’t working and they felt it was a safety hazard. I was a teenager at the time with no sense of guidance, no support system, nothing so I just went with the flow. After finishing, I was told that my stuff would be sent to the MVA. I figured this whole time, my information was sent to the MVA so I held off on going. Long story short, it was never sent to them and I have to start all over. Reached out to Mr. Coleman, and he was disrespectful, decrepit, and impotent. Him and the instructor are both senile and one student in the classroom. No updated technology; they have flip phones in 2024. Stay away from this school. Dude so old, he probably don’t even remember the last piss he took.

Negative experience: Mr.Coleman isn't nice at all don't let the looks fool you I had taken this class and felt like I didn't learn anything at all... He doesn't give you time to actually sit there and read the units ....when it's you're first time parking driving etc you mess up he yells at I got emotional im really thinking looking for another driving school fr fr if I have to start over oh well I only went here because it was cheap but mistake

My teacher ms Smith she was funny like y’all gotta have her as a teacher an my instructor he very nice to Mr. Coleman y’all he is a good instructor everyone on here is hating talkin bad about this school for what I went there an I pass everything now on my way to the open road test so I’m confused on how they not helpful or I don’t understand why y’all call this school unprofessional I think they are very professional an carful teachers an instructors period an that is that this a good school

Negative experience: THIS SCHOOL WAS THE WORST EVER. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, POOR QUALITY, POOR VALUE, VERY VERY POOR COMMUNICATION AND NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. I WISH I COULD GET A REFUND. IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

Negative experience: This place is absolutely horrible the classroom sessions unorganized and not instructed well, did not get what I paid for, and instead of 3 hours classes the classes were literally just an hour long. The driving part where do I start, the instructor, is rude and doesn't know how to be patient and understanding with new drivers. It's a learning session. He was 30 mins late to my first session, looking at sports bets the entire time, if I'm learning how to drive I need your focus to be on me the entire time. And he stopped the session 30 minutes early. So I only drove for 1 hour. The second time I specifically requested NOT to have Mr. Coleman, I get there on time, and was told by a lady that the other driver didn't show up and that she called Mr Coleman. I said but I specifically requested someone other than him. She said well I called him so he'll be here, then she proceeds to give me his number and tell me to call him. 30 mins later, and he still never showed up. No call or text or apologies, no anything. Time is not free. This school is just horrible. Please it may be cheaper but cheaper is not always the best route. This school needs to be closed down. You will not be able to get your behind the wheels lessons.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL!!!!! this is a highly unprofessional place. No communication. My daughter has not received the instruction we paid for. She took the classroom course and that went fine. When it came time for the driving course we couldn't get in touch with them and nobody was ever in the office to speak with. I finally got in touch with Mr. Coleman after almost 2 months. He was extremely apologetic and scheduled my daughter for her driving portion. The day of the driving course, Mr. Coleman was 20 mins. late. Once they started driving Mr. Coleman got on the phone with another student, actually stopped my daughters lesson to go up to the office and look for paperwork for another student. He was gone 15 mins. came back and had every excuse in the world for why he was late and working on other things instead of giving this lesson. I requested a refund because the service has been so bad. More poor daughter was not comfortable or confident in Mr. Coleman's abilities.

Negative experience: The school is unprofessional Mr Coleman is rude he don’t know how to talk to women there business is unorganized it took me months to get appointments they don’t send your information to MVA on time This place needs to be SHUT Down they all about MONEY

Fantastic experience: THE BESTTT! Mr.Colman is the man fr yall.. I just called him yesterday to let him know that I PASSED MY DRIVING SKILLS TEST#pressed #thankful #God is good! The class is not hard at all..just pay attention and write down notes to make sure you understand and of course ask questions if you have any! I would suggest that you get your learners before you come so that when it comes time to go out on the road your able to, cause it was a couple of people who couldn’t at the end cause they didn’t have theirs.

Negative experience: I signed up for the class during a global pandemic with not knowing it was in person only. I have since been fighting with them to refund my money. I have called about a dozen times during the past two months and was promised my money, and still no response. This is just unprofessional! I just want my money.

Positive experience: I paid for my son to tske this class July 2017. Son been to MVA twice ready to take his driving license. The clerk said no records was forwarded from driving school showing class was completed. Son goes to check today. A lady tells him no records kept that far back. No certificate nothing. Also on the road two times. I back to the school another lady found his class sheet. She apologized for earlier. Noticed he needs more road time but will send to mva.

Positive experience: This is easily the easiest course I’ve ever taken. It’s not hard at all. My teacher (I forgot her name) gave us ample opportunities to fix our test everyday. The course always ended an hour early before the time was up. On the road driving, Mr. Coleman was okay. If you know how to drive, your gonna pass. I didn’t even have to do it more than once. Recommend for people who want an easy pass & Doesn’t really care about the scenery. Hope this helps

Negative experience: BEWARE. This school only wants your money. They do not teach you how to drive. They let me drive one time and mr. Coleman yell at me that one time he took me driving. You watch old video tapes which is pointless. They lied and said I practice all these hours of driving which I didn’t. I been practicing all by myself thanks to them. I learned nothing from them not anything. Go somewhere else if you really need help learning to drive. They are rude, judgmental and unprofessional.

Negative experience: Unprofessional , rescheduled my DIP class because the instructor didn't want to come in to teach a little bit of ppl. I went to karons driving school and paid $75 for the class and it was only two of us in the class. They lazy

Negative experience: The worst experience ever, driving instructor is unprofessional, kept trying to cancel my scheduled driving appointments not once but twice because he wanted to do something w/ his family which wasn’t important, he don’t know how to talk to people I don’t recommend this driving school at all, on road it’s always something. In class instructors are always late, it’s unsanitary. I’ll prefer going to another driving school. They’ll cheat you out of your money. Very unprofessional as well as the office isn’t well w/ customer service.

I was considering using their business for my son, but there were TOO MANY similar negative reports from different people over the past two years regarding the behind the wheel scheduling and training experience. So THANK YOU for helping me decide!

Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional driving school that I’ve went to I’ve completed my behind the wheel hours back in January and they have yet to put it in the system with the MVA. Mr.Coleman isn’t a good driving instructor he yells at you if you’re a beginner driver. Mr.Botts is the only one that’s calm and I was comfortable driving with.

Positive experience: It’s cheaper than a lot of driving schools. Their sch dueling office for behind the wheel is a bit of a mess. In terms of instructors, Mr.Botts was the most calm instructor here, he makes you feel at ease when driving.

Fantastic experience: I love this school. I have learned a lot they are friendly patient mr. Coleman and Ms. Smith is awesome. I recommend for first time drivers to come to this driver school.

Negative experience: This place is very unprofessional!!!!!!!!! Your 6hr behind the wheel takes months to complete,making this whole process drawn out and a huge inconvenience. My instructor was very unprofessional,couldn’t get in contact with him,made personal stops along the way, very rude over the phone . Ms.Johnson was great but after you take the unit test and have to deal with the instructors and calling to make your appointments the service goes down hill (after they have your $$)

Negative experience: This owner is extremely unprofessional. While he is teaching drivers, he’s making stops to pick up personal friends and food stops during the student’s time. He has displayed sexism towards women and is rude, abrupt and doesn’t deserve to be in the position he’s in. He is not teaching the students the mandatory skills required to pass the driving test and when family members call to inquire about this, he continues to hang up and yell during his conversations. I would not recommend this organization and I will make it my business to report him as well.

Positive experience: Safeway Driving School is an awesome school. Ms. Smith was an excellent teacher she's funny and witty. They provide you with all the tools you need to become an courteous and informed drive. Would definitely recommend. Great location and perfect hours for those that have daytime commitments

Negative experience: Very unorganized business. Phone always going to voicemail. They don't keep scheduled appointments and won't even call you to let you know they are not going to show up. I know other students who had the same problem with this school. It could possibly take months to complete the entire course with this school so I definitely would never suggest it.

Please continue to support us. For those of you that are unhappy with our service, and exercised your rights to free speech, i take your complaints seriously and will work to improve our services.

Negative experience: Unprofessional and unorganized The only good thing about this school is the proximity to my home. On four occasions they forgot or missed my son's appointment. I paid for my son to go to driving school for 2 weeks which he completed, and that comes with 6 hrs BTW training. He had his first appointment on a Saturday at 10am with the owner/instructor. The owner/instructor made an appointment for the following day with my son before he got out of the car, however when my son came Sunday the owner had forgotten about the appointment and told him to reschedule. One of his appointments, his instructor (the owner) was 45 minutes late causing us to miss a funeral. Then when he had one of his rescheduled appointments, that instructor (a different man) did not have him on his list. I called the school to schedule appointment #4 and was told he had all his sessions (only 3). However, each time he went out he stopped to run errands for the instructors (Get food, visit family, pick up strangers). He never went out for a full two hour period. I told them I want the extra 3 hours I paid for. They are unorganized and unprofessional. I mentioned to the owner that I went there years ago and he said if I knew that I would have made sure that your son got good service. I said excuse me, you should make sure he gets good service because it's the right thing to do for all your customers not just the repeat ones.

Negative experience: Go Else Where. I Got My Permit Twice & I Still Have Not Been Able To Get A Good Teacher For The Road. The Man I Had Was Very Rude And In Patient, Then Stopped To Buy Him Food After He Was Late.

Negative experience: booked a behind the wheel session at a certain time and was never picked up or contacted... this is the second time this has happened

Negative experience: I wish I could give them a 0. I started my process in August of 2016 and am just now finishing. After my week of regular driving school, I had to have 6 hours of behind the wheel training. The instructors wouldn't give me any suitable times, they told me to come in on the day it was closed, they'd tell me to come in and not inform my driving instructor, they'd tell me one day when they actually scheduled me for the day after. I have tried calling and they don't answer. The answering machine is ghetto and when you finally get someone, they are rude and inconsiderate! I have gotten hung up on multiple times. I am begging you, GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! These people are unprofessional, unorganized, and it's downright ridiculous that this location is still operating!
