Drive Right, LLC

Drive Right, LLC, located in Marshalltown, is a premier provider of Iowa Driver Education with over 20 years of experience serving the community. Established in 2006, the school is officially certified by the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) and proudly offers programs to students from all Iowa school districts, including notable contracts with BCLUW, East Marshall, GMG, and Woodbine, among others.

Their comprehensive course structure is designed for flexibility and success. The standard Parent-Led Course (Course A) includes 30 hours of self-paced online instruction to be completed within 65 days, combined with 5 hours of parent-led driving practice, and a final evaluation with a Drive Right instructor. This successful completion allows students to obtain their School Work Farm (SMRL) or Intermediate License without taking the IDOT driving test. For those preferring a traditional classroom approach, Course B offers 6 hours of professional driving lessons and evaluation, available in locations such as Marshalltown, Tama, and Meskwaki.

What sets Drive Right apart is the expertise of its instructors. Lead instructor Tim Hungerford brings 25 years of law enforcement experience alongside two decades of teaching, ensuring students develop lifelong safe driving habits. Kyle Lovan, a School Resource Officer, further emphasizes positive community relationships through his engaging teaching style. The school prides itself on combining affordability, quality, and convenience, offering transparent pricing starting at $199 for Course A and providing summer sessions for those needing flexible timing. Drive Right, LLC is dedicated to preparing young drivers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for the road.
