Barrios Auto School

Barrios Auto School is a historic driving institution rooted in the heart of Brooklyn, established in 1973 by Julio Barrios. With decades of experience and now managed by his children, the school has built a reputation for reliability and success in helping New York residents obtain their driver's licenses. Located at 3914 5th Avenue, the school operates with a commitment to excellence, offering flexible schedules from Monday to Saturday to accommodate busy lifestyles.

What sets Barrios Auto School apart is its personalized approach to driver education. The instructors, such as the highly-rated Jeff, are known for their patience, humor, and ability to quickly identify and correct specific driving deficiencies. This supportive environment ensures that students not only pass their road tests but also build lasting confidence behind the wheel. The curriculum includes essential components like the mandatory 5-hour course and ample behind-the-wheel training, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

The school offers a variety of affordable packages tailored to different needs and budgets, ranging from intensive 20-lesson plans to more modest 5-lesson packages. Each package includes the car for the road test, the 5-hour classroom instruction, and assistance with scheduling the state exam. Serving both Brooklyn and Staten Island, Barrios Auto School also provides standalone services, including individual lessons, car rentals for practice, and exam appointment booking. Fully bilingual staff ensures clear communication, making the journey to becoming a licensed driver smooth and accessible for everyone.
