We were able to have fun in the car, but also maintain a serious attitude when driving, which helped me learn a lot.

He made me feel so confident and even gave me a practice test where he graded me. He’s super upbeat and makes you feel comfortable to ask questions while taking in his instruction!

The attentiveness, professionalism and fast response is all at 100%. I will definitely have my youngest learn to drive with Golden Crown. I am very satisfied with their instructors.

Negative experience: More than a year ago, I took my driving test with this place. I do not want to name names as I do not want anyone in trouble. I gave the school a five star review after, as I was asked by my instructor to give him a good word in the review page. First off, he was great at teaching me how to parallel park, however, we were on an empty road and I forgot to signal ONCE, resulting in him screaming at me. I broke down crying, as I didn't expect a stranger who was supposed to help me to yell at me that way. Not only that, I had my actual test scheduled right after this. It was nerve-wracking and awful. After, he told me "it's okay, cry it out" without apologizing for speaking to me that way. I felt nervous to continue sitting at the wheel but had to push through regardless. Yelling should never be used on anyone taking a lesson, especially when they're sitting behind a wheel. Secondly, while he was driving to the test area, he was on a phone call for most of the time. Gossiping over whatnot over some unhealthy relationship. It was really awkward and not really reassuring when about to pull into the testing area. Lastly, he started listening to some motivational video pretty loudly about moving on from toxic relationships. I totally understand wanting to get out of a bad situation, but please keep it out of work. It was just so incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. Outside of the instructor, the service wasn't the best as there was a lot of miscommunication. The first time, I was driven by my other instructor to my original test date (he was alright and nice) but when we got there, we were told my appointment was never made... The next time with another instructor, we were told my appointment was cancelled because I apparently requested it? (I didn't.) It was a really, really stressful period of time- and trying to get a driver's license is already stressful enough. I think back on my experience quite often and was waiting on a long period of time before leaving my feedback. But hey, I perfected my parallel parking on the test from the instructor at a cost of an uncomfortable experience...

Negative experience: Rude and Disrespectful to customers,I called them on 31st may on 2023, a female picked up and put me in hold for ten minutes twice before I could say a word,when they finally picked up they wouldn't give me there name and they hung up on me.

Tommy was fantastic with really targeting those highway driving skills. My son gained the needed exposure and skill to build on his ability and to be more confident and capable with more challenging driving tasks such as highway driving . Fantastic experience: Instructor Review: ☆☆☆☆☆ I signed up for a driver’s package of 4 one hour and a half classes at Golden Crown Driving School in the White Plains location. My instructor Tommy was absolutely fantastic! I wished I had him for the first two lessons. He was an excellent instructor who had a great ability to teach and showed immense dedication to working with his students. He used time productively, analyzing my driving skills as I drove around and pointed out certain things I needed to improve on. He taught me important information about safe driving and his explanations were clear and understandable to follow. One of the fears I previously had was parallel parking. It was thanks to Tommy and his helpful tips that I was able to nail it. His motivation and support gave me the confidence I needed to succeed in passing my exam. I’m extremely thankful to have him as my instructor. Institution Review:☆☆☆ When it came to scheduling my classes, the secretary whom I spoke with was not clear about how the schedule arrangement works with instructors. However, their customer service was responsive and understanding to my needs. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy my experience with the first two instructors I was assigned to. The first one was alright. He was a nice man, but has to be very careful next time to not cross into someone else’s personal space. The second instructor was disappointing. He picked me up at my house blasting loud music from the car. He spent the majority of class time engaging in conversation instead of teaching, would be on his phone, and even asked me what he should eat for breakfast since he was hungry. Very unprofessional. If you wish to enlist to this driving institution, I highly recommend Tommy.

Fantastic experience: I've used Golden Crown Driving School for both kids and both kids passed on their first try. The individual driving lessons really built confidence and also helped them fine tune their safe driving skills. One did a 10-pack and one just had a few to brush up on parallel parking. Whatever option you choose, it'll be worth it.

Fantastic experience: I had my NYS learners permit for 10 years but could never get consistent practice for many different reasons. I had to move back home to NY during the pandemic and thought it was the perfect time to commit to taking lessons. Best decision I ever made. Driving comes easy to some people, but if you’re like me, it feels next to impossible! I’m so happy I chose Golden Crown to help me tackle this. I took 15 lessons over 4+ months. I mostly did lessons with Paul and Harry who are both fantastic. Paul is very observant and picked up on my weaknesses as well as my learning style and he really did everything to make sure that what he taught me stuck. I had zero confidence coming in, and he also worked to build my self confidence in a way that was 100% genuine. I feel very lucky to have him as my primary instructor. Harry is very patient and encouraging. He helped me reduce my anxiety on the road. I passed my road test today and cried tears of joy because it’s been a very frustrating 10 years not being able to get around independently without a license. The office staff is also incredibly patient and kind. I never had a single bad experience with them over the 4.5 months I was doing my lessons. They would wait patiently on the phone with me as I navigated my busy work schedule and my hospital appointments. Paul was kind enough to even let me end my lessons at the hospital sometimes so I could get to my doctor’s appointments there on time after my driving lessons. That kindness will never be forgotten. Truly a professional staff all round. I finally did something I though I’d never be able to do! Thank you Golden Crown!!!

Negative experience: they are horrible. I scheduled an appointment for a road test on March 14th at 9 am. When i got there i was told that they do not do road tests that day. NO CALL OR ANYTHING. Even the staff there are extremely unhelpful.Never coming here again or referring this place to anyone else. such a waste of my time.

Fantastic experience: After having passed my road exam, I can say easily that my experience with Golden Crown driving was wonderful! Dave Anderson was my instructor and he did a very good job. I had not driven for a few months before hand and was still relatively wet behind the ears before I received lessons from Dave who was very attentive and taught me a lot of useful information that I had not previously known. Fantastic experience: Carmen from the school was amazing.. we couldn't find the certificate the day of the road test so she met us at the facility and went through files there, couldn't find it there either so she had me follow her to her house where she found the file and gave us a duplicate. She went well above and beyond for us!!

Great and patient teacher (Peter). They even suggest the best play to take driving test around (and the best time for that place).
