Negative experience: I appreciate the feedback I received after my road test. I would also like to add there is a true skill in being direct AND kind, and not condescending and disrespectful. If you are going to work with the public, especially in the service of them completing a road test the best thing you can do is make sure you create a friendly environment from the beginning of your interaction to the end even if someone has failed the test. If you can't do that then maybe the best thing you can do is find something else to do, or better yet find a therapist to work out your issues that way. You don't do that with people who are coming to you for a service. I don't know what made her feel comfortable behaving that way with me, but what I do know is that her behavior was unacceptable and chaotic. I understand she has the responsibility of ensuring that people are safe drivers but giving feedback does not include disrespect and aggression. I kept my cool and thanked her for her time and feedback but I was appalled by her unprofessionalism. Thankful that I learned the lesson that just because someone has a high rating doesn't necessarily mean good and quality service. There may be validity in her reviews of her being professional and helpful however I was not one of those people. Update to your response: Rachel, you were the only one yelling. I asked for you to write down your feedback on a sheet of paper. But I “yelled” at you?! Please don’t do that. Stop lying and just say I had a bad day before I administer your test. Coming onto the expressway slow…Yes, I can admit that. Semi-trucks slamming their brakes….not so much. Poor character. 3rd comment: First it was “slowly” merging and now it’s “abruptly” merging on the expressway. Got it. You have a business but instead of considering feedback you are making excuses for your unprofessionalism and adding misleading details to fit your narrative. This is coming from someone who says that they felt so unsafe and uncomfortable and yet during the ride were not sitting properly in their seat throughout the test and didn't take over the car or ended the test early. Which as an administer you are instructed to do when you feel it is unsafe. But that didn't happen. Okay, I got it. I do not thrive on giving negative reviews and like to give people the benefit of the doubt but horrible services. Yet, it saddens me that you have this job. People, please go somewhere else where you will be treated with respect rather or not you have passed or failed. Not having an administrator who makes the experience uncomfortable with their hostile attitude and unprofessionalism from the beginning to the end of your interaction. It can be nerve-wracking as it is to take the test. The last thing you need is to take it in that type of environment. Thank goodness other companies care. As of 9/18/24 at 9:03am she has now edited her response to my review from 2 years ago! Yes, she edited it this morning. Her inconsistencies in the narrative she trying to manipulated wasn’t looking good so she edited to fit the lies she trying to spread all because I gave a honest review of her poor behavior and her lies. I guess because multiple people have called her out since I have. She has proven poor character once again! Her behavior was very aggressive and harmful. I feel horrible that other people since then have experience her unprofessionalism, and toxic behavior. This should’ve been an exciting experience. She obviously has some issues she needs to work out.

Merging onto the expressway at 25 mph which caused people (including semi-trucks) to swerve and slam on the brakes to keep from rear ending us, and then not doing the speed limit on the expressway, is a clear indication that you need more experience.

In response to your second comment: if you did not see the semi truck, that is just confirmation of how unaware you were when you abruptly merged onto the freeway. And if me telling you “that you must go faster” in a firm & direct voice, is what you are referring to as “yelling” - then take note that you were the one who put us in a scary situation. This was not a comfortable experience.

You have work to do but you will get the goal you are seeking with a little practice.

Best wishes,
Rachel

Negative experience: I had the unfortunate experience of accompanying my sister-in-law, who is new to the U.S. and not very fluent in English, to her road test at AK Services. She was understandably nervous and praying for a soft-spoken, kind instructor to help ease her anxiety. Instead, we were greeted by the most grumpy, judgmental, and aggressive woman I’ve ever encountered in a professional setting. From the moment she approached the driver’s seat, it was clear that she wasn’t going to be pleasant. She didn’t greet us, avoided eye contact, and constantly sighed and rolled her eyes as if she couldn’t wait to get it over with before we had even started! Her body language was hostile, and when she finally spoke, it was just rude. I had asked if I could be present during the test because of my sister-in-law’s weak English, and we had agreed on the terms. To my shock, this instructor, Rachel, responded to my request with, “As long as you know when to keep your mouth shut.” The tone she used was obnoxious and disrespectful, making it clear she had no intention of being courteous. To make matters worse, when we scheduled the test, I was told I could wait in a car while the test took place. Instead, Rachel suggested I sit under a tree or wait on the sidewalk, with no mention of the car option I had been previously told about. I can’t help but wonder if this treatment was because I’m a Muslim woman—it felt discriminatory and unnecessary. After the horrible encounter, and obviously before preceding through with the road test I requested a refund. When I asked for a receipt to ensure I had proof of payment, Rachel pointed to the blue receipt she had previously given me, saying that was all I needed. It had her name, the company’s name, and the amount I paid via credit card. I thought that was the end of it. But as I was about to leave, she suddenly snatched the receipt from my sister-in-law’s hand without permission and walked off. Her behavior was completely out of line. At that point, I decided not to engage further and called the police for assistance to assure I get my money back. Rachel fled the parking lot but eventually refunded the money. To my surprise, she reported me to the police, twisting the situation to make it seem like we were the rude and racist ones something that couldn’t be further from the truth. Based on other reviews, it seems this is a pattern of behavior for her, where she manipulates situations and paints herself as the victim. I don’t tolerate bullies or liars, and Rachel twisted the truth to avoid taking responsibility for her actions. I would’ve let it go if she had simply apologized, but instead, she acted delusional and continued with her unprofessional behavior. I will be releasing the car’s surveillance footage to show the reality of the situation and to remind Rachel that standing up for yourself is not “rude.” Avoid AK Services at all costs. This kind of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior should never be tolerated.

I felt the same way about you guys- now leaving 3 one star reviews through different accounts (Shadi Shahada - twice and now you).

You are misconstruing things because you don’t know rules of my job and the State test- all you have is me telling you multiple times that you need to be out side the vehicle and you arguing with me about it. I told you kindly that you needed to wait out side the vehicle for the test it takes about 35 minutes- you can wait under the trees or by the church or some people walk to Dona’s donuts. I say this in text messages prior to them even arriving on site and in person to every adult client prior to the test.

This all could have gone very differently had the person who wanted to translate- say they wanted to translate at the paperwork portion of the test. No one is allowed in the vehicle for the parking portion of the test and you the translator needed to be outside of the vehicle for translating if you’re going to be a translator. This is the State of Michigan test and I am held to a very strict standard- you the “translator” would not follow directions and was very disrespectful which followed all the way around through the encounter. The abuse wasn’t enough on the lot you feel the need to continue it in multiple one star reviews.

I called the police because after I refunded your money and your sister in-law gave me the receipt back because it is no longer a state transaction - you followed me around the parking lot yelling at me - the police officer told me not to engage you anymore and to just get off the lot. Interesting though you can get out of the vehicle though to follow someone around a parking lot.

People who want to translate normal come and don’t try to bully the examiner, it was almost like you wanted it to be your test not the states - I will meet anyone with the same energy that they throw at me.

Negative experience: Broke company can’t afford an actual office they meet you in a parking lot with their broke down Malibu and if you’re accompanying the driver you’ll have to wait in the parking lot won’t recommend them to my enemies

Negative experience: I was very disappointed simply because the day I went, I was tested by a new employee plus the MI state examiner was there to watch him. Now I have a class A & am still on the road. I'm trying to drive school buses which is what I tested for. I failed for the 4th time & although they weren't supposed to tell me why, I was told! I am from Flint & I explained how we were trained. When we got to the back of the bus, we were trained to stand there & state, I will talk about the rear suspension & brake system as I did the front & then you begin stating the parts. And then when I got to the back of the bus I began with the clearance lights & move forward. But because I didn't state STUDENT clearance lights I failed. This was my 4th time taking the test! I pointed at everything I could see and I was trained by GISD here in Flint, MI from their CDL pre-trip manual revised 2024. I wasn't trained to say student lights in front of each light I described! Some of these 3rd party testing sites are nothing but a MONEY grab! And truthfully speaking, I believe a lot of the testing sites have contracts with these schools in order to pass them! I won't ever go back there again!. ****************************** MY REVIEW HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TESTING IN IN A CAR. And you Miss Rachel you have nothing to do with my experience! have NOTHING to do with my experience. And I see I'm NOT the only person to give AK a bad review. And his boss has nothing to do with my test! We train differently here in Flint & how dare you get mad at my experience or how I feel!

I don’t do CDL testing at this site - this is not my client and would appreciate you taking this off my google flint site- however I did look you up to see who you tested with in flint for the other 4 test and it was with another organization in flint.

And further more EVERY state examiner gets STATE BOSSES dropping in on them to make sure you are given a fair test - if the state boss didn’t say anything- you were wrong- however you are not my client and i would appreciate you taking it off my site / the state examiner you had has been CDL examiner for more than 35 years he may have been new to you but not new to state of Michigan

*************************************
In response-to your response-this is not my client

May you be better prepared for your next state test wherever that may be- it’s the states test not the examiners test and yes in our line of work not everyone gets a trophy, our job is to protect already licensed drivers, and not everyone is happy or fails gracefully. The above is a prime example

My disagreement with you is why am I in the middle of another organization problem - but here i am defending that organization because i know exactly what happened. You were given a state test multiple times - you did not pass multiple times and it’s the trainers fault or the examiners fault. I understand not passing is frustrating but i most certainly would not blame an organization when there state analyst was present for the test. Our state analyst are who we answer to. It doesn’t go any higher than that and your upset with that examiner. Who clear as day gave you a state test
