Negative experience: The instructor at this school is very beginner . I only had one class session and the instructor was 10 minutes late. The car smelled of cigarettes. A coach is good for friendship, not for training. I took a class with another instructor, In another location. but he canceled two hours before the class time. . I didn't have a good experience.This school is not recommended at all. Be very careful.

Negative experience: took a lesson with them over a month ago with a guy named gus,, he’s a chill dude but when it comes to teaching it’s not his best strong suit, he didn’t give me any instructions on what i needed to improve on before i took my exam, and he said i didn’t have much experience so im most likely going to fail my exam anyway, so i ended up failing my exam. wouldn’t recommend not gonna lie.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I had Gus as an instructor and it felt like I wasted $60 on an hour for lessons. Very charismatic guy and friendly but little instructions or feedback was given. When I struggled with parallel parking there was little feedback or feedback on how to correct myself and essentially had to figure it out myself. Wouldn’t really recommend

Fantastic experience: Erika is an amazing instructor! She's patient, knowledgeable, and makes learning to drive stress-free. Her clear instructions and helpful tips gave me the confidence I needed to pass my road test. If you’re looking for a skilled and supportive instructor, Erika is the best!

Fantastic experience: I did my first lesson today and Shannon was a wonderful teacher , he was very patient I felt relaxed he didn’t make me feel nervous at all . He helped me soo much I learned so much and this is only my first lesson So A BIG SHOUT OUT To SHANNON !!! I can’t wait for my other lessons I know I’m going to be an amazing driver .

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at Revolution driving school. I did my classes at the one located in Brooklyn (261 13th street). Firstly, scheduling the courses was very easy. The receptionist, Deborah, was lovely and always helped me with picking the best dates and times that would suit my busy schedule. Often I would have to switch dates, but as long as it's done before the 24 hours, she was always super helpful. She was very nice and polite, definitely a lovely person to speak to either on the phone or via text. I had several drivers at the school, but the two that stuck out the most were Lyndberg and Erika. Lyndberg really helped me relax a lot and since he's a mathy / sciency guy, much like me, it was a much easier connection to measure and calculate turning and parking. He was very chill, but also very particular in what he wanted from me. Our personalities meshed very well, so he was the first person that made me very relaxed to drive. After Lyndberg, I had Erika. I absolutely loved her. She's a phenomenal instructor and she definitely knows what she's doing. After having her once, I switched all my classes to her. She's super encouraging and she's definitely a huge part of why I passed my exam. She teaches you EVERYTHING and more, and makes you very comfortable when driving, even when you may make a little mistake. She is a very sweet woman and definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to learn to drive with ease and confidence. Lovely driving school, I got my license after doing a package of 10 lessons (I never been behind a car before), and then 1 extra lesson before my test. All of it was super worth it because I got my license in one test!

My instructor Lyndberg is very patient, and his teaching style doesn't just help you pass the test—it focuses heavily on safe driving and developing the right mindset and skills to be a good driver. Deborah the school manager, is also super friendly and responsive whenever you need anything

Fantastic experience: Today I had my first lesson with Shannon. Right off the bat he made sure that I knew where everything was in the car and that my mirrors were adjusted. After driving for a while, he patiently gave me the EASIEST step-by-step guide for parallel parking. Goodbye to weird, obscure guides and line-ups, because I got the best instructor! His strategy isn't to get me to barely pass the test; no, I could tell that he wanted me to form good, lifelong habits and consistent driving skills. Best experience hands-down (not even mentioning Shannon's jokes and contagious laughter). Would give 6/5 stars if I could. I am confident that I will get my license.

Fantastic experience: Terrific experience at Revolutions Driving School! I took 5-6 lessons and the road test, and passed on my first try. Throughout the process I got excellent support from Deb to plan and schedule my classes and road test. Gus was driving instructor and he was always calm and gave useful advice to improve my driving. Delighted I picked Revolutions, and would give them my strongest recommendations!

Fantastic experience: These guys are the absolute best. Deborah the office manager always scheduled me exactly the times I needed, and always worked with me when their was a conflict. She was always on point, a rock star! My first lessons were with Gary and he was great, a true perfectionist that helped me build a solid foundation from scratch. I stopped for a year and took my later lessons. & ultimately passed with Lyndberg, driving with him is like driving with your best friend. If you have anxiety he's the man to instruct you. He is cool, calm, and patient. I was having an issue parking, he let me work things out on my own and didn't force me to use "his way".

Fantastic experience: Deborah, the person who schedules all the lessons and road tests, is extremely nice and will go above and beyond to meet the needs of your schedule. Lyndberg was a great instructor! He even plays Lo-Fi to chill the mood in case you’re nervous. He explains everything in great detail and is very responsive when you have a question. He even shows you with you cars if you’re a visual learner! Gus was also great! He was very good at answering your questions and always made me feel comfortable to ask them. He also kept the vibes in the car calm, which helped me learn better!

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience with Revolution. I have my license in another country but wanted to refresh my memory before the US test so took five lessons. I had a few different instructors but Shannon, Lyndberg, Gus, and Walid were all excellent and gave me great confidence driving around Park Slope. It's a practical learning experience that gets you ready for anything you might face on your road test, and as a result I passed first time thanks to the school. Highly recommend, also Deborah in the office is great and helped organize my lessons seamlessly.

Fantastic experience: Intuitive and patient instructors that are adept at helping you actually learn instead of just having you parrot steps from a manual. Shannon and Gary have both been great introductions into my first experience driving, both have been knowledgeable and patient while always being open to making sure what they teach you sticks. Deborah has also been a wonderful person when it comes to scheduling my lessons and making sure I’m not stressed for time. Above all, they have all been incredibly friendly and great to communicate with. Will defiantly be looking forward to scheduling more lessons with them in the future as I become more accustomed to being behind the wheel!

Fantastic experience: Hi, this is my review with this driving school and I am currently on my 6th lesson out of nine. I can speak very highly for this school, because I felt absolutely confident on my third lesson with Shannon as my driver instructor. He is very determined, and he is very detailed explaining the functions of the vehicle and being attentive to the road rules. As well I’m very comfortable in the atmosphere working with Mr. Shannon as a young lady. As for Mrs. Deborah who sets up scheduling, I can definitely attest she is very organized, very communicative and very supportive before and after the lessons if you are a mother seeking to have your child to get their drivers license, I would suggest this school due to their organization, determination and sufficiency. And Goal for Us students to be great drivers . I am confident & walking in with faith that I WILL be passing my road test ♥️♥️

Negative experience: I passed the road test despite my experience. Deborah and the team organising you and texting you behind the scenes were fantastic, but the instructors were terrible and gave me conflicting and incorrect information. Thank goodness for YouTube and online research.

Fantastic experience: I had the absolutely BEST experience ever with Revolution in the planet. I literally meant that because I took countless lessons (and failed road tests) in Hong Kong, SF and now onto NY. With HUGE thanks to Lyndberg & Deborah, I passed the test in the first shot today! I was so unconfident and nervous that I cried after first lesson, and Deborah was the sweetest that comforted me for 30 mins (!), gave me a warm hug (very important!) and lined me up with Lyndberg. I will never forget that kindness. And Lyndberg is the nicest and most patient instructor ever ever ever. He is a man with great empathy. However stupid moves you made, you will never hear a single word of blame from him. Instead he clearly and warmly explains how you can do better until you gets it. My confidence grew exponentially as time went by. I enjoyed his lessons very much and will highly recommend him to anyone!! And now I can't wait to go back for high-way lessons :)

Negative experience: the instructors are racist

Fantastic experience: I booked a car for my road test appointment and I passed. I’ve went to other schools for lessons but they never really gave me motivation and they was very inpatient. Here at this school I had no lessons from them, but they had confidence in me and they got to know me a little and I got to know the instructor a little and I felt very comfortable. He made me not feel so nervous before the test…and before you know it i passed. I highly recommend this place for first time drivers to not be so nervous.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school! I started my lessons not knowing how to start a car, and after less than 2 month I passed my road test on the first attempt. I worked with Lyndberg and Ritchy and they are both exceptional instructors. Lyndberg helped me to build confidence and to start feeling comfortable driving (and he has a fantastic playlist!), and Ritchy challenged me in a good way, helping me to accelerate my learnings. Deborah, who runs the operations at this location, is the most upbeat, cheerful, and supportive person ever. She scheduled all my lessons and the test, and was very responsive and helpful. Fantastic experience: Taking lessons at Revolution was exceptional! I've been putting off getting a license for a decade, and Revolution got me up to speed and passing the road test on my first try! Fantastic experience: Deborah, who handled all the booking and organization, was great. Very quick to respond and set up my lesson and test. Gary, my instructor for the day, was also very professional, patient and we had some great conversation. all round very highly rated and if I ever had to take lessons again it would be with Revolution (though I'm happy to say that, with Gary's guidance and advice, I passed my test)

Fantastic experience: I had been researching driving schools in Brooklyn for a while and happened to stumble upon Revolution Driving School’s office in park slope, so I stopped in to see what they’re all about. I was greeted warmly by their receptionist, Deborah, who gave me all the information I needed to know. I felt good about my encounter so I decided to sign up for lessons. I spent time with instructors Ritchy and Lyndberg— I can’t recommend either of them enough. They are both so patient, kind and understanding. I was given the knowledge and skills to pass my road test, and I passed it on my first try! Huge deal for me, as I’d been anxious about honing my skills in a city that’s difficult to drive. Deborah was super helpful and reasonable in scheduling lessons around my hectic work/personal schedule. If you’re on the fence about committing to a good driving school, look no further! Fantastic experience: Love this school! I got my license at 30 on my first road test because of them. Deborah in the office is great and easy to work with. Most of my lessons were with Ritchy, who is a skilled teacher who did a great job helping me slowly build up my skills and confidence. I also had some lessons with Lyndberg who is a similarly excellent teacher (and has a killer lofi playlist). On their advice I did 10 lessons and the road test package with them which felt perfect for the test. I plan to go back and take some additional lessons on stuff like defensive driving! As someone who started off very nervous about driving, and now feels very confident in my abilities, I can't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had my license (thanks to Revolution Driving too) for about 8 months and driving for about 6 months on my own. I decided to take some Highway lessons this time around with Revolution. It was a bit of a touch and go with the website at first and scheduling but everything worked out and was set. I had Ritchy as my instructor for all three lessons. I had a great time, he made me feel comfortable and confident in taking the Highway and I can say I’ll finally take that route if available instead of choosing the option of “no highways” on the map apps.

Fantastic experience: I finally received my first driver's license at age 30 thanks to this driving school, after many years of putting off the process due to lack of time and funds, but mainly lack of confidence. Deborah in the Brooklyn office handled all my scheduling and questions with professionalism, care and friendliness (which I feel is a very rare experience and it was immensely refreshing and appreciated). I worked mainly with Lyndberg as my Instructor. His positivity and ability to clearly explain driving maneuvers and concepts made me a much more confident driver. I also had a few lessons with Erika and Ritchy - they were also great. I purchased the 10 hour Road Test Package. I'll be transparent in saying I didn't pass my first road test, mainly due to my own nervousness in the testing environment. I was able to pass easily on the second try. Would highly recommend this driving school to anyone, especially if you need a little confidence boost to get that license.

Fantastic experience: After struggling to find a reputable driving school in Brooklyn, I was lucky to stumble upon Revolution and I'm extremely glad I went with them. Their website was very clear on services and plans. I was able to order and pay for everything online. They were also extremely friendly and supportive over the phone, answering some questions I had and giving me updates via text. I wound up taking two lessons, but even after a single lesson I was immediately more comfortable with driving around Brooklyn. My instructor, Ritchy, was extremely friendly and helped me stay focused and calm behind the wheel. He did an amazing job of calling out specific things that I would need to pay attention to during the test. The day of the test we did an additional lesson right before the appointment, which gave me pretty much all the preparation I needed to pass the test first try. So I can't recommend Revolution highly enough. Shout out to Ritchy and Deborah for all their work getting me past what could have easily been a more stressful experience.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Revolution. Deborah's punctuality, amazing work ethic, and words of encouragement were invaluable. Ryong helped me feel comfortable in a car for the first time in my life, gaining confidence on the road as well as technical skill. Ritchy gave me invaluable driving advice, was calm, understanding, and always offered great conversation and insight. Lyndberg taught me amazing techniques while driving and was there for my final lesson before I passed my road test. If you are thinking about signing up for Revolution, do it.

Fantastic experience: What can I say, great experience, really good people. I have had an overseas licence for a long, long time. Needed to get my NY licence and after reading a few reviews went with Revolution. I hadn't driven much in the last few years and felt I needed a refresher. Pleased I did. Both of the instructors I had were outstanding, shout out to Lyndberg and Ritchy. I had Lyndberg first and he asked me what I thought I needed to work on, which was parallel parking and three point turns. He worked through these with me and gave me really good tips. Ritchy had me on the morning of the test and was good at relaxing me and getting me ready. Needless to say, I passed first time. Very happy about that. And I must mention Deborah who does all the office work, answers questions and seems to have never ending energy. TLDR: These people are really good at what they do. Use with confidence.

Fantastic experience: Revolution were brilliant from initial contact to passing my test. Deborah was great, walked me through the process and arranged everything for me, from start to finish. Gary was my main instructor and he was brilliant. I had an extra session with Erika; also brilliant. I passed first time in what felt like a seamless process. It only felt seamless because Revolution are so good at what they do.

Fantastic experience: I already have a European driving license so I scheduled just one driving lesson before the road test (class D). I did the lesson with Gary and I passed my test! Gary explained all that I needed to know to drive in the US and to pass the test. He's patient and supportive, and definitely not the kind of instructor who will stress you out. I already have experience driving and I learned a few important driving tips from Gary. Deborah in the office is also great, she was super efficient and flexible to find a time that worked for me to do the class. Overall I recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: Glad I chose this school for my driving lessons. Friendly staff, I had about 4 instructors, all great. Near the end of my lessons, I stuck with Erika, loved her as my instructor. Made me feel confident in driving. Passed my road test . Also Deborah, she scheduled my lessons and worked with the times I had available. Can’t say enough good things about this location.

Negative experience: Super reliable. Booked a lesson at 2pm and received a confirmation. Shortly after 2pm no instructor at the site and I met another girl, who also had a lesson at 2pm. She told me that the instructor was running late because he had a flat tire. We went in to the office and the clerk insisted that I was 3pm. So, I showed her my confirmation and she said that clerical mistakes happen and that I should wait till 3:30 pm for the lesson. I said I can’t wait another 80 minutes. She offered me to reschedule for next Tuesday at 12:30 pm and another one a week later, which were impossible as I work. So, I said I want a refund and she informed me about 10% cancellation fee!!!! Haha, hilarious. She also mentioned that the cancellation will take 7-10 days. Then she called her manager for an approval and processed a full refund while talking on the phone . At the end she apologized for the inconvenience. At the beginning she emphasized that it was not her fault even though nobody said it was. Now on my way back home. Spend more than an hour on Saturday afternoon for this amazing fun. I shall not go back.

Fantastic experience: Revolution Driving School is amazing!!! I had never driven before, and after just a month and a half of lessons, I passed my road test. I had Gary, Narendra and Erika, who are all kind, patient and prepare you exactly for what you need to know for the test. Also, Deborah, who works in Admin, makes a huge effort to schedule around what times work best for you which is greatly appreciated. Super grateful for them and I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Revolution Driving School, at the Brooklyn location! I started lessons in May with virtually zero experience driving (and lots of fear) and just passed my road test (on the first try) last week! Deborah in the office was a whiz at scheduling my dozen or so lessons, and my DMV road test. Beverly + Schenectady location = excellent, very quiet area. I had lessons with Richard, Gary, Erika, and Narendra (Andrew). They were all great, kind and professional, each with their own teaching style, but ultimately together taught me calm and confidence at the wheel. Excellent communication all around, via calls, emails or texts. They sent text reminders for each lesson and let me know if they were running late due to traffic. They recently switched to hybrid cars, which were great, very responsive on brake and gas. Do the road test in the Revolution car. Cars were always clean and seemed well-maintained. Most of all I appreciated the positive energy and encouragement of everyone at Revolution, especially Deborah! As a lifelong New Yorker who bikes everywhere, getting my license in my late 30s feels like a huge accomplishment and I could not have done it alone. This would be a 5-star review even if I hadn't passed on the first try :) I’ll definitely be back for highway lessons at Revolution once I have more driving hours under my belt. Worth the dollars! Fantastic experience: I really loved working with Revolution Driving School. The receptionists, both were so helpful with scheduling and signing up for lessons. And just overall very lovely and professional. I mostly worked Richard and he helped build my confidence up as a driver. Erica took me out on the day of my examine and she was also very thorough and pleasant. The whole experience was very positive. And I passed on the first try, yay!!! Honestly they would've gotten a positive review even if I hadn't. It's up to you to listen to what they say and go over the videos.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Revolution Driving School. I drove with both Gary and Richard and they are both extremely patient and understanding instructors who made me feel very at ease throughout my experience. Also, Deborah who runs the office is amazing and was so helpful in rescheduling my lessons at short notice after I caught COVID the week before my test.

Fantastic experience: I have used 4 different driving schools in Brooklyn, to allow me to schedule regular lessons around the 9-5 workday, and recommend Revolution. They are helpful, professional, and my instructor, Richard, was excellent. He was patient, calm, reduced my stress, and taught driving very well, and I passed my road test! I would 100% recommend them, especially for nervous or brand new drivers.

Fantastic experience: After failing almost ten years ago I switched to this school, and after just five lessons their amazing teacher Lashawn taught me everything I needed to know to pass and finally get my license. They took care of everything for me and made the whole process pretty stress free. Definitely worth it.

Fantastic experience: These guys are THE BEST! My husband and I both went through the process of obtaining our licenses with Revolution. I was a first-time driver, and my husband is a seasoned driver with an international license and needed to obtain his NY license. I did 5 lessons with them and passed my road test on the first go! My husband did one refresher lesson and passed his, too. They were so helpful, informative, and patient with us throughout the whole process. Prices were super reasonable and we couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommend Revolution!

Fantastic experience: I had 5 lessons at Revolution then I took my road test. WITHOUT A DOUBT, this is THE BEST school for driving lessons. My instructor provided lots of reassurance, worked with me on issues I had and kept practicing with me on things that needed improvement. He was very patient, helpful, kind and professional. The car was kept clean at all times, even with the Covid-19, he sanitized before and after lessons. His way of parallel parking was SUPER SIMPLE and effective. Thank you all SO MUCH! Thanks to them I passed my drivers test!!! Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Gotta say I was skeptical after seeing too many positive reviews for their Manhattan location but the hype is real guys! I attended the 5hr certificate exam and Ibo, our instructor, was awesome. He did a great job teaching us about what we have to watch out for. I would highly recommend this course if you are looking to get your certificate. 5 stars, great people great course.
