Fantastic experience: It was a pleasure learning the skills to get my CDL at this Academy. Professional Instructors and always willing to teach & give you information about anything on the Trucks or scenarios while on and off the wheel.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience training with 160. All of the staff from the first week of in class through last week of yard training were professional, understanding and very knowledgeable. The only grievance that I had is that the training packet sent home to review pretrip inspection and ABC are not up to date. This caused a lot confusion and frustration for me because I was spending a lot of time learning what was in the packet only to find out it was inaccurate and I then had to relearn certain verbiage or new parts that needed to be identified. Overall I’m very happy and confident with the training I received and would recommend this location! One and done!!!

Fantastic experience: I was at another 160 school before this one. I was ready to give up. But I was offered a chance to finish at the Oswego school and it was like night and day. I learned what I needed to pass on the first try, my automatic instructer Matt, aka (Milk) was very very helpful in me passing along with the other instructers. I say thank u to everyone at 160 Oswego for helping me. Also I would like to say thanks to Brandon and Dre at the old school for helping me also. 160 FOREVER!!!!

Fantastic experience: I went to 160 driving academy in Montgomery Illinois and successfully got my cdl Class A and I was also one and done. The instructors and leads there are truly amazing and were the best help anyone could ask for. Thanks to them and their knowledge I’m now a professional driver, So happy I made the right choice by going there!!!!!

I would like to give special THANKS to Tracy one of the learning instructors at the Oswego/Montgomery school. John, Joe, Mike, Matt, Nate and Jeremy. I learned something specific from each instructor. I had a great time there and I plan to visit the crew whenever I get there chance to show my gratitude. They made learning really easy.

Fantastic experience: best school in the state in my opinion, drove more than 40 min every day but definitely worth it. All instructors are kind and very help full, Joe, Mike, John, Tracy, Nate, and Matt helped in my adventure on getting my cdl. DeLaney was very helpful as well and helped me get enrolled

Fantastic experience: All of the instructors work together as a dynamic team to ensure students' success. They all have many years of trucking experience and each shares a unique perspective as it relates to training and the industry. I have to say a special thanks to Pete as he came in extra on a Saturday and made sure I was ready for my skills test. Tracy was motivational and helped me learn road skills. Delaney in the office was super supportive to answer questions throughout. If you want this and put in the effort, getting a CDL is doable and enjoyable here. I feel confident and prepared to start my new career path!

Positive experience: I want to give a shoutout to all the instructors here at 160. They all have a different way in teaching but with the same goals. I want to give a major shoutout to Moe and Mike for the outstanding confidence they have in the students. Especially Moe, seems like he can put himself in your shoes. He would never give up on you even if you give up on yourself. I would give 3 stars but because of the instructors I’ll give 4. If you want 5 stars please talk to the instructors on ways to improve this place. They know more than anybody because they actually there.

Fantastic experience: From my first day in class to the last day holding up the "One and done" sign the biggest stand out was the staff at 160, Delaney and Miguel in the office make sure you have everything you need you crush the permit test and get into a truck along any questions over the phone. Once you're in the field every one of the instructors are there to work with you, And for you to succeed! They're personally invested to get you professionally trained and out and making money and it was so motivating as long as you work WITH them! That's another big part i'd mention is you have to want this, They can only lead you to water not drink it. So don't hide don't be on your phone all day, It's not a vacation so get out and watch the pros teach you how to do it! Every step of the way you'll have an instructor with expertise in every section watching and giving tips on stuff you may have trouble with and master it quickly. You don't just look at slideshows they help you understand every part of the trucks working and operation for when you are in the real world. I could go on for way to long so i'll wrap it up here. I went from thinking a Class A license wasn't tangible for me to passing my test first try and now driving big rigs every day with confidence! I'm so thankful for my friends at 160 Oswego help me achieve my dream!

Fantastic experience: Had an awesome time at this school and thanks to Delaney for being so helpful and understanding during my process. I got in through the WIOA program and got accepted. Coming to this school was the best decision I've ever made, the instructors here especially Moze and a few other ones would always hype me up which motivated me to get my CDL today. Yeah they have some scheduling issues here and there but in my opinion it's a very good school and would highly recommend, I'll definitely miss my experience here it's been fun.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say that DeLaney the branch manager has been a great help throughout this entire experience. I appreciate everything she has done for me. The instructors have also been a great help and really care about helping the students achieve their goals. Mike really explains everything well and makes you at ease. Tracy definitely wants to see everyone succeed and is there for whenever you need help. Joe and the rest of the instructors also are there to help and want to make sure we pass the test. I appreciate all of their efforts. I just want to say thank you to every single one of them.

The instructors are very helpful.If you apply urself and take in the different skills they provide you with then you will learn a lot and be on to graduating and receiving your cdl . Stay focused and don’t give up. They also have some bilingual speaking intructors which also helps to does Spanish speakers like myself. Actually miss some of does instructors.

Fantastic experience: 160 in Oswego have a team of instructors that went up and beyond! Mike was detailed at showing us how to maneuver the truck while performing a straight back, offset and parallel parking. Pete hands down goes up and beyond by showing up early and staying late to ensure you're on top of your in-cab & anything else you need a hand with. Dwayne,Joe and Tracey were patient while teaching me how to operate the manual trucks. Even though I was grinding gears and almost stalling the truck when I first arrived, They never made me feel that learning to operate a truck wasn't manageable. Chris will help simplify the whole testing process. Don't overthink and just explain what you see. Keeping it simple. Russ is the GOAT!!! I passed GETEXCITED

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend 160 if you want to get your CDL quick and easy. Instructors are very welcoming and encourage their students to learn not just from the instructors, but also learn from their peers as well. My advice...Learn the material well with consistent practice, and pay close attention to what others say and do, and you should have no problem passing the test.

Fantastic experience: My experience at 160 Driving Academy in Oswego, Illinois has been nothing but good! From the start, Kathy helped guide me with anything I needed to do to get started. Once I started at the yard the vibes were welcoming and even the students were helpful by studying together with no judgement. My instructors were awesome, literally encouraging me while giving me all the tools and knowledge I needed to not only pass my cdl tests but also for once I’m done and on the road by myself. You can tell the instructors here do their job not just for a paycheck but really put their all into their students to watch us succeed and move forward! Fantastic experience: The 160 Driving Academy of Oswego, IL experience has been a great one for me. If I'd told you that I had any experience in double clutching, let alone driven a Semi, I'd be telling you a false story. However, with the excellent and experienced staff members of 160 Academy, from the front office to the back end, my learning experience was incredible! Every instructor that I encountered is/was great in his or her messaging. Thus, the entire staff convey the identical points but in various forms to achieve the the same outcome. I'd strongly recommend the 160 Driving Academy to anyone looking for a CDL School in Illinois or anywhere else in the country. Superb!

Fantastic experience: A thorough experience in which you learn fast when you come with the drive to sincerely obtain your CDL. Instructors that care about your success, and an excellent one two punch with Frank, Jen at the head of the ship. Frank's the straightforward down to earth no non sense type all while loyal to pushing out 160Drive graduates with skills that represent the quality of the work applied at 160Drive. They will help you get there to go get it. Go get it!!

Negative experience: Zero stars. 160’s administration department is more than unwilling to work with anybody who has more than a few questions, unable to think critically even. Their staff simply lacks the knowledge and experience to answer simple questions about the trucking industry. Kathy would much rather throw you out of her office (yes, that really did happen) than help you make an informed decision. It’s obvious that 160’s first goal is to enroll students and last to actually educate or inform anybody about finding a good fit for their future career. If you too were turned off by 160’s lack of answers and unwillingness to work with you, don’t be discouraged. The trucking industry is booming right now, and there are plenty of people that will help you find your own lane.

Fantastic experience: Good school to go to. Excellent instructors detailed teaching and instructors will ho the extra step if you ask. As all schools you are ultimately going to get out what you put in. If they see you putting in work and effort they have no problem giving you all the extra help you need. I seen some not put a lot in and they still tried picking them up and carrying them over the finish line. Good value.

Fantastic experience: When I first started my journey into trucking I was extremely nervous. Having no experience in the industry, no experience with a manual transmission, and not really being a mechanical person. Kathy in the office assured me that I will not be the only person in that situation. During the first week in the classroom I slowly started to gain confidence about what it takes to obtain your CLP. Dave, the virtual instructor explained everything thoroughly at a much needed easy pace. The next 3 weeks in the yard practicing our driving, maneuvering, skills, and pretrip delivered the same experience. Chris, Mike, Russ, Duane, and Francis all have their own unique coaching styles. That gives you a great diversification and experience level. You’re able to take advice from 5 talented individuals, who really want to see you succeed and make the information your own. With all the help along the way, I was able to obtain my CDL on the first attempt at the DMV. 160 Driving Academy Oswego is the place to go if you are interested in starting a career within the trucking industry.
