Fantastic experience: Honestly i think the whole driving edu program is wonderful.i originally started with them PRE COVID.i did my classroom time. And finished 5hrs of btw with meka. Lost my confidence got scared and never finished but this year when i decided i needed to go back to driving school i immediately picked driving edu, added personal drive time to build my confidence and now have scheduled my mva test with them. I recommend them all the time

Negative experience: The classroom sessions were fine but the driving instructions did not prepare my son for the test. First he never was taken on the highway, second she would make him stand on the sidewalk in a random neighborhood while she sat in the car for 15 minutes saying it was mandatory breaks. The first day they didn't even let him drive for the first 15 minutes, the instructor drove. Then they didn't take him to the MVA where he was going to do the test which was also the closest to explain how the test was going to go. They took him to a different MVA because I guess that instructor was familiar with that one. She also complained to my son that she didn't know how to teach her own daughter how to drive but yet she was supposed to be teaching my son. Update: As I don't see a way to respond to your response, my only reason for leaving the review was so that you would hopefully receive the feedback and improve your services for the next person. I am not sure why you are trying to attack my parenting style. My son actually had over 80 hours of driving with me before he went to his first lesson. We live on a farm and he has driven equipment and trucks on our property for years. He drove with me on the highway with no issues the first day he got his learners, so he had more then a basic understanding of how to operate a car. He also had been driving all the time since he had received his learners 4 months before he did a drive time with you.

When I passed I got the certificate smooth and easy. And at a very appropriate cost too. Others had tests available on Saturday only but here I could decide straight away from their website. Negative experience: The classroom experience was fine for my teen HOWEVER, the road lessons suck. These people have no plans to actually TEACH your child to drive. In fact they tell the children that they need to know how to drive before scheduling road time. I thought my kid was exaggerating when she said this but no. Sadly she came back from her first lesson stressed and upset. The instructor advised her that I need to take her out on the road more. If I could teach her, why would (or should) I pay you? What about kids whose parents don’t drive? My hope was that she would learn the basic fundamentals so that she would be better prepared for road time with me. Guess I’ll take a baby aspirin and a swig so that I can go out here to do what they won’t do. Had this been communicated prior to paying, I would have certainly looked somewhere else or not included to driving time as it seems MVA doesn’t require it anymore.

Fantastic experience: The classroom part was very easy & Ms.Debbie was easy to learn from & well articulated with her teaching. The behind the wheel portion was easy to schedule, quick & simple. The instructor (Megan) wasn’t super distracting & provided feedback where it was needed in a clear way that I could understand, and was patient and remained calm. I was satisfied with my experience & the staff was helpful. It was also cost friendly and not as expensive as other places.

Fantastic experience: It was awesome, my first class I was nervous but after I got comfortable with her and she is calm and patient and pointed out things I needed to work. Even when I make a mistake she won't yell or get angry she will just tell me what to do in case of next time.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. My driving instructor Megan has been patient with me when it comes to driving and has never given up on me. As well Ms. Linea has been patient when ever I had questions or needed to schedule my driving hours.

Negative experience: Totally disappointed, the people are unfriendly and very rude from the first day to the end, they have no communication and what they say is not up to date with the MVA rules, only the Ellicott City office was different, excellent service, and very friendly; but in the Owings Mills office, it is the worst I have ever seen, I honestly do not recommend it at all. We did procedures that the MVA said that it was not necessary, what a sadness.

Negative experience: the owings mills office was lousy the staff are short tempered they do not explain clearly and traumatize young people learning to drive . the owner on the phone who is quite unreasonable and rude and the workers at Owings Mill are unprofessional people I don't understand why they give them license to have these schools with the lack of ethics and professionalism that they have. Ellicot City office is different Mr. Chris was totally different and very professional. They should close the Owingsmills office. I would never recommend it. In addition, on the website you have confusing things and they make you pay for unnecessary things. we lost money because of that. Never rent a car from them, they don't need it and they don't take it to the MVA.

Negative experience: The lecture/class instruction portion was ok-ok. Both of my kids took it and gave it 3 stars because the emphasis was mainly on obvious safety measures but did not adequately prepare them for the test. They felt as if a lot of information was still missing. Secondly, if you are unable to make the appointment, you will be charged a no-show fee. As a responsible human being, I do not miss appointments unless it is out of my control. We had a two hour behind the wheel lesson scheduled, which we were unfortunately able to make. The following day we went for the next scheduled driving lesson, which they declined us access to. If you miss a 1 hour lesson, you will have to pay $50. If it’s a two hour lesson, you pay $80. We are not allowed to schedule future lessons until the fee has been paid and our scheduled lesson was canceled (without a phone call from them!). By the time we arrived, I learned this. Go with a company that does not operate their business this way!

Positive experience: DriversEdu advertises 6 hours of behind the wheel lessons but they actually offer just evaluation sessions to know if the driver is ready for driving test. I had good experience with all other aspects of the course

Fantastic experience: Ms. Debbie was a great tutor! The class size was reasonable so it made learning easy. They offer a variety of services and Ms. Shashena was very kind and assisted me with encouragement and motivation while at the DMV. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Definitely recommend the school to those future or returning drivers!

Negative experience: Did not have a good experience here. The online classroom portion was fine, but when it came to the behind the wheel portion, it was pretty bad. Didn't help with my driving anxiety to have someone belittle me while driving.

Fantastic experience: I booked a car for the mva test and scheduled a test prep session. The coach for the prep session was very knowledgeable and gave really good tips to help. For my mva test Ms. Sasheen (sorry if misspelled) was on time and great to speak with before the test to help calm the nerves and helped me pass the test! There was an issue with scheduling the day of my test but the receptionist on the phone cleared it up in minutes. Not sure about the drivers Ed course but if you need private lessons or a car for your test choose them. 6/5 Bonus: the car they use for the mva test is on the smaller side so it’s really easy to park.

Fantastic experience: I want everyone to recognize the driving school in Owing Mills. The teacher has a beautiful personality and guides u through the steps. It s a mistake not to go there in Owing Mills E.D.U.. If anyone wants the family experience of driving around with someone like a lil sister, cousin, best friend etc. then go to Owing Mills E.D.U.!

Positive experience: Imma be fully honest, they aren’t bad only thing wrong is the scheduling. Lots of miscommunication, and rescheduling when it comes to btw lessons, but other than that the teachers were good, the btw instructors were easing up some of the on the road stress and helped students (personally my son) feel comfortable on the road/expressway.

Btw was so good I must say Christopher was my instructor and he was so calm and kind , help me along the way until I was ready for MVA .. When I booked and reserved a car . Ms Sasheen Maple it’s was a pleasure to meet you, when I saw your name I was even more nervous. But you help to get rid of my nervous and I was ready to take my test … Yes I pass the very first try . Negative experience: Some of the women who work here are completely unprofessional and ill mannered. I left my ID at the owing mills location due to the worker forgetting to return it. A week went past, no one called to inform me. When I called to see if my ID was there and if I could it pick up, I was told to hurry up. Once I arrived the encounter I had with the lady was totally uncalled for. They lack essential customer service skills and have no professionalism what so ever!

Negative experience: Classroom was fine, however the instructor I received was very intimidating. The way she spoke to me insinuated that she was very impatient and tired of me. I was also never informed that I needed to practice before my first lesson. Instructors should be patient and charismatic with student drivers. Never going back ever again, instructors speak to you a if you have the IQ of a walnut.

Negative experience: Recieved a confirmation email at 1230pm. Recieved a cancellation for all appointments at 835pm after hours. I tried to log on to my account. My account was deleted and i couldnt even reset my password because my email was not recognized. Reason was over scheduling. They could have gave me a courtesy call but that was not even given. I went up to the school this morning. Account was reactivated. But why deactivate an account that was paid in full and all the services were not met. And than they selected the classes my child could attend. Very unprofessionally. After speaking with the owner she explained their policy but i still think how they handle business to be unprofessional.

Negative experience: I signed up almost a year ago with this school and still haven’t received my full btw hours. The appointments i made we’re always so spaced out or there was months with no available times and i had to keep checking for times i could go. It has taken so long that I decided to just decided to request a refund and the last time i emailed them they said they could refund me the money and i have yet to hear from them again about it.

Negative experience: Complete trash! They just there to take your money! >:( They also chat with you for a little bit then they never reply back!

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing driving school. I paid for personalized driving lessons with them, and I have no regrets. They really helped me overcome my driving anxiety and become more comfortable behind the wheel. I highly recommend them

Negative experience: My daughter completed the online classroom program offered by Driver’s EDU at the end of summer last year. Due to her busy schedule, I signed her up in March to start in May 21. My mother brought her to the first lesson. Upon their arrival, they noticed how unwelcoming the staff were. My daughter’s instructor was Megan. During the lesson Megan made her anxious. She had an aggressively harsh tone and yelled at my daughter several times. Driving is a very serious matter but yelling at someone while they are learning is not only highly unprofessional, it’s unsafe. This was my daughter’s first time in this car, it didn’t have AC and it was extremely hot. So imagine, being in an unfamiliar vehicle with an irate instructor yelling and belittling you as your first experience. My daughter returned home mortified from this awful experience. I brought her to the second lesson and saw first-hand how unprofessional Megan was. While in the lobby, and with another young driver present, she shouted from across the room she doesn’t see how my daughter commutes to Columbia every day (she drives with my mom). She then brings her notes from the first lesson and discusses them in front of everyone. I asked for a copy to reference what needs to be worked on and Megan took the paper and said it had been emailed (even though I hadn’t received anything). The second lesson is identical to the first. Instead of instructing her, Megan was on her cell phone. Afterwards, I see my daughter pull up. She is visibly shaken and on the verge of tears. Megan comes over to my car and asks my daughter if she’s ok with a condescending and patronizing tone. She then tells me what she did wrong - something she could have “instructed” during the lesson. The next day (Friday) I call to speak to the owner, Sasheen. I finally got a returned call Monday and explained the issues with both lessons and how unprofessional Megan was. It was apparent the owner wasn’t interested in my concerns and kept saying “Megan has been with the company for 5 years.” That’s irrelevant and doesn’t speak to her ability to be an effective instructor or employee. Instead of listening to the customer, she placated Megan’s poor behavior and responded sarcastically to my complaint by saying: “if you thought she was harsh, just wait until she [my daughter] takes the test, and the MVA people were worse.” She also justified Megan’s behavior when she shouted across the lobby and said she was fine with her doing so because of COVID. WHAT?? I reiterated that I never received the notes from either lesson, and instead of providing them for me, the owner said “well they were sent out!” In short, I could tell nothing was going to be resolved or remedied, as she was just as combative and as argumentative as Megan. At this point, I just wanted a refund. I’m disappointed because as a person of color, I seek ways to support black owned businesses. I’m even willing to give second chances, but I draw the line at disrespect, unprofessionalism, and a lack of accountability. As soon as we hung up, I received back to back emails saying my daughter’s remaining 4 lessons were cancelled. It’s as if she couldn’t wait to schedule someone else. It is obvious Driver’s EDU cares solely about making a buck and less about properly training their instructors and teaching prospective drivers. I paid $150 ($25 ea) for 6 behind the wheel lessons but received a $60 refund. My husband convinced me fighting for the remaining $40 wasn’t worth it. This horrible experience led us to B & A Brothers Driving Academy, another black owned business. They truly care about your student and understand the importance of providing an educational service in a positive learning environment. While talking to the instructor I explained the issues I had with Drivers EDU, and the owner overheard. He informed me he had another student that same morning who had transferred from Drivers EDU for the same reasons. I strongly advise you to stay far away from Driver’s EDU at all cost…unless you want your student to be mistreated!

Fantastic experience: This driving school is awesome . i had a great experience they are very friendly and professional i have been to 3 out of the 4 locations with my children and i love that they give you the option to make a deposit and pay later ,the teachers are great , the locations are clean and comfortable, and the best part of it all is you schedule your own appointments for the times and dates that you are available but anyway i can go on and on about why i love this place but this place is awesome and the cheapest in town !!
