Established in the 1960s, Nichols Driving School is a trusted, family-owned institution in Easthampton, Massachusetts, with over 35 years of experience in professional driver education. We are a licensed provider dedicated to helping teens obtain their licenses before age 18, while also offering tailored services for adults and seniors. Our mission is to build confidence and ensure road safety through personalized, one-on-one instruction rather than mass-processing students.

We offer comprehensive Teen Driver Education programs that cover Massachusetts' on-road rules and regulations, helping students pass both the permit and road tests. Completing our full course can qualify students for up to 5 years of car insurance discounts. For those who need more flexibility, we provide private adult driving lessons and specialized road test sponsorships for individuals needing a qualified vehicle for their exam. We also support senior citizens with competency tests and offer specific discounts for military personnel and seniors.

Unlike large online academies, we emphasize in-person, interactive classroom sessions to ensure a deep understanding of driving laws. We operate with a low student-to-instructor ratio, ensuring every individual receives the attention they need. While we serve multiple towns in western Massachusetts, please note that we do not pick up students in areas such as Amherst, Holyoke, or Springfield, though alternative arrangements may be possible. Parents of teen students are required to attend a mandatory 2-hour orientation to support their child's learning journey. Contact us at (413) 527-2470 to enroll or schedule a lesson.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this driving school. Do take a 1 hour lesson with them. It costs more, but we basically practiced the actual test and really helped build confidence for the actual test. They'll tell you some tips and tricks that can help you out. On the test day, they'll take you out for a review which is basically a practice for the actual test. Actual test itself is very easy and chill.
