Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at TopDriver I felt like learned a lot with my instructor Rich both in the classroom portion and behind the wheel. Rich was a very upfront instructor when it came to anything and was very honest no matter what it was. Rich is a very funny guy and an instructor you feel you can have a good time with while still learning a very important thing like driving. He never stressed me out and I feel I learned a lot from him I know Rich is an excellent driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I had positive experience taking drives at Top driver driving school. Yesterday, I passed my driving test at dmv Saint Charles, IL. Latart Richard is an amazing instructor at Top driver driving school of Geneva, Illinois. He is a highly skillful teacher who knows what to do and how to do. His teaching methodology is brilliant. I had zero experience in car driving lesson. After two months, I got my driver’s license with only 9 points. I got from him not only what is required for a road test but also to be confident and to drive safely. For anyone reading this, I'd highly recommend Latart Richard as your instructor at top driver driving school, Geneva, Illinois. You’ll see the difference. He is amazing!

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience learning to drive with Top Driver. The instructors are very understanding and helpful, my first drive was with Rich and he made it a calm experience and was sure to answer all my questions. Then I did the rest of my drives with Rachel Michels, who was my class teacher for Drivers Ed. She makes drives fun and teaches things very well, which helps the drives go smoother. She's fun to talk to while driving (she makes sure you're focused too) and is always ready to help with any questions. The instructors and teachers here help make the environment in the car very fun and positive, and most importantly safe.

From the very first lesson, Richard demonstrated exceptional patience, professionalism, and expertise. He made sure to explain every concept clearly and provided practical tips that were incredibly helpful. What stood out the most was his ability to create a comfortable and stress-free learning environment for her. He was always encouraging and supportive, which made a significant difference in her confidence behind the wheel. Fantastic experience: Me and my brother went to Top Driver for our schooling and drivers test. Lessons are helpful and involve videos and other activities that keep you engaged. Our driving instructor for all 12 lessons was Rich, who was very wonderful and a master at his craft. Very funny and understanding, helpful and very tolerant, especially if you are rather combative like I am haha! Absolutely go to top driver for the education of your kids! Ask for rich, he’s awesome and deserves a raise for the wonderful things he’s doing for this generation and their road skills.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with the Geneva Top Driver location. Scheduling in car appointments was easy and we are a big fan of instructor Steven Hvale. We scheduled every drive so my son could drive with him. He was very complimentary of his driving skills and also gave him more to work on. Highly recommend the Geneva location and Steven Hvale!

Very passionate about helping his students learn the etiquette of the road and had great examples when teaching the kids of real life situations! Highly recommend using them to teach kids to drive on the road before getting their license!

Fantastic experience: Rachel Michels was a fantastic driving instructor for my daughter, in Geneva, IL. She took time, during the drive, to practice skills my daughter was still not confident in. Rachel was very encouraging & informative. As a parent, I received helpful feedback, to help my daughter prepare for her Driver’s Exam.

Fantastic experience: We have completed drivers Ed for two children. In both sessions, we had Rich as our instructor and he did many of our individual drives. He is very passionate about his position in educating children on the road. Both of our children appreciated his feedback and listened to his advice. Highly recommend using Rich and the team at Top Driver.

Negative experience: Nearly impossible to schedule drives with them. If you call they don’t answer. In the off chance they do answer they direct you to the website that you clearly tried before calling. Then they tell you that you have to pay extra money for future drives. It’s not cheap either. If I had a do over I would have my child do the classes through the high school.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. They are incredibly rude. They will not accept positive covid results to cancel an in car drive. They make it impossible to schedule drives. They made a 9 month of getting drives done and say its Illinois law when it is not. Terrible company. Will go to Coops for my son.

Negative experience: UPDATE: Forgot to update this many years ago. When they saw this review they called my mom screaming at her to force me to take it down. She refused. Very unprofessional. The class was great, but on my last drive I had to drive with a driving instructor who literally sent me home in tears for being so mean to me. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who isn't an 100 percent confident driver. So pretty much any teenager.

Rich Latart was both a classroom instructor and did behind the wheel with my son, and he was fantastic! He knows how to relate to teens, and they listen to him and respect him. He tells it like it is, the good and what needs work. After a drive Rich spent time thoroughly debriefing me as the parent, which I appreciated! Couldn't have been happier with our experience!

Fantastic experience: My 1st child attended driver’s ed while under Drive Home Safe 5 years ago. After having one class with Richard LaTart , he preferred no one else. My 2nd child also started as Drive Home Safe and immediately hoped Rich LaTart was still around. Thankfully he was. The school later transitioned over to Top Driver and we kept our fingers crossed that Rich or Liz were still there as he had 4 more drives left. We were ecstatic to see Rich was still an instructor! Rich made class instruction and drives fun, yet instilling the importance of rules, paying attention, and teaching them how to maneuver in real life road situations. Rich LaTart is truly a blessing. His teaching style and patience with these children is his true calling. He is like a Master Jedi in the driver’s education world. If I had more kids, everyone of them would go to to Rich. Rich LaTart’s title should truly be Top Driver/Instructor!!

Fantastic experience: Rich is an absolute champ of an instructor. One of the coolest, funniest, and most talented driving instructors I’ve had. He will make you a better driver than most of the people now days. I will miss the drives I had with him.

Fantastic experience: Both of my children have taken drivers ed at this facility and had an amazing experience. We started with Drive Home Safe and we’re around for the transition to Top Driver. Both of my kids strongly preferred Richard Latard for both class instruction and their practice drives. He somehow is capable of turning some rather dry material into something more fun and easy to digest for these teens. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a good driving instructor and we are so glad we found this facility.

Negative experience: This company is a pack of lies and nonsense. Do not waste your time. No drives available. So I call to complain. Then they magically find a drive at an inconvenient time...maybe. Sometimes they can help through email, until they decide they can't. You call the customer service number and you get a recorded message 90% of the time. When you do get through, they are not remotely helpful. Seriously. Do not waste money here.

Fantastic experience: My son had Richard LaTart as a driving instructor at the Geneva location. Mr. LaTart was awesome to work with. He explained things well, was very positive, and gave good feedback after the driving lessons. On my son’s last drive, he took the time to make sure all questions were answered. He is a dedicated employee and a big asset to Top Driver Driving School.

Negative experience: Please do not sign your child up here. They do not have any availability for drives. I check every single day online and there are never any available. In order to get one, I have to call and complain. And then I only get ones where I have to take my child out of school to do them. I called today because I have not been able to schedule a drive for my daughter in March and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Also, if you don’t complete the drives within 9 months of permit, your paid for drives expire and they charge you more! Ironic, since it’s their fault that your child can’t complete the drives! They are not in compliance with the contract you sign as they do not have the capacity to provide drives for their students. Yet the representative confirmed that they are still taking on new students??? The representative also hung up on me when I asked for the plan to get my daughters license on time. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Your child will not receive their license on time here. I want to add that this is under new management as of about six months ago. And that’s when the problems began.

Negative experience: Was great when I went there about 7 years ago when it was Drive Home Safe. But now it's absolutely awful. My younger brother started going here, and on his LAST DRIVE. They got bought out by Top Driver. He then had to wait 6 MONTHS for his last drive (still hasnt happened yet, but he finally got it scheduled). Making it so the poor kid couldn't get his license, forcing me and our mother, to drive him to school/practice/hangouts. All at a time while we were transitioning to new jobs, that we had purposely postponed starting at so we wouldn't have to worry about driving him places. OH, I almost forgot, my mother then had to shell out even more money so he could get this last drive scheduled. When she had already paid for his full course with the previous owners. I'd hate to see how they treat their employees when this is how they treat their newest customers. Garbage customer service, and I can only imagine the same extends to their actual teaching skills.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has just completed the driver safety program at Drive Home Safe in Oswego. She was one of the first classes to have an online course due to the pandemic. Drive Home Safe did very well with getting classes ready and accessible online. The material was clearly presented. Driving is now done only with the instructor which gives undivided attention. Drives are available 2 times a month which is more than enough since a permit must be held a minimum of 9 months. The opportunity of taking the road test directly with Drive Home Safe was awesome. I'd definitely recommend Drive Home Safe. They were very accommodating to our schedule and pleasant to work with.

Fantastic experience: Alan and Rich were both very educational instructors for all my drives. They made all the lessons easy to understand and gave me lots of tips for the future.

Fantastic experience: They are great! I signed up my 15 year old daughter and couldn’t be happier. I met Darlene personally and she was very helpful. They went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule. I was also in communication with Dennis via email. He was very attentive and responded right away very time, even after hours. I am looking forward to working with them again, as soon as my other daughter turns 15.

Negative experience: This company let my son start drivers training without a signed contract or the necessary school documents to be successful and pass. We wasted 30 hours of zoom classroom time for nothing. They take no responsibility for this, will not return phone calls. They were more than happy to take my 15yr olds $500 and let him start the class when he had no business. A simple checklist of required documents BEFORE taking his money is all that was needed. I expect a return phone call as numerous messages have been left. Continued ....Mr Dennis Harper just cussed me up one side and down the other then proceeded to call me a liar and hung up on me.

Fantastic experience: All three of my girls have completed the program and we couldn't be happier. The variety of schedules offered worked for us during our busy soccer and gymnastics schedules. The instructors my girls had were always patient with my girls and always came to talk to us and tell us their progress. Thank you for getting us through the driving experience!

Fantastic experience: My daughter was very prepared after taking driving lessons with Drive Home Safe Driving School and she passed her driving test on the very first try because of it! She knew what to expect on the test and practiced, and as a result she is a licensed driver. I have another daughter who will turn 15 next year and I will definitely sign her up here as well. I am very satisfied with Drive Home Safe and most importantly, I feel like my daughter is a SAFE and skilled driver!

Negative experience: I have tried to schedule drives for my son twice and both times their website stated that this is their busy season and to check back later for availability. Obviously, they are taking more customers than they can accommodate.
