Fantastic experience: I did a hour and a half driving course with Mez and it lead to me passing my road test Mez, was a very detailed and patient teacher he guides you and is very attentive of your patterns and habits leading to immediate improvement, he’s patient through the mistakes and allows you to progress smoothly I’m grateful for my time with Mez.

Fantastic experience: I had my driving test today, and I passed the test. I am very happy for the service the driving school has provided me. The instructor of the driving school is very knowledge and he helped me understand all the rules for driving. I had a hard time doing 90 degree parking, however with some of the tips the instructor has provided me helped me to learn the how to do the parkings. I would highly recommend any new learners that are trying to get the driver's license to try with this school.

Fantastic experience: I failed my driving test multiple times (5) and I been in other driving schools , I was devastated however, my brother found this instructor, and the way this instructor helped me and made me improve my driving technique is really amazing. Fantastic experience: Wow! If you plan on taking the road test but have uncertainties about everything you'll need to pass then this is the place to go. Mez helped me tremendously on learning the proper technique for turns (left/right as well as into one ways). What I found even more helpful were the simple steps he gives you for parallel parking and 90 degree backing. Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience! First, I was sceptical since it's an independent person but Mez is registered as a proper instructor at the DMV for behind the wheel. We had a 2h lesson before I did my test and he had me ready in no time. I was most worried about parking and his method was so easy. I could do it blindfolded after an hour. I only had 4 points taken off during my test for a silly mistake (that Mez warned me about!!). Simple, short and reliable! I highly recommend his service. Well worth the money.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Mez is great, we go through local road driving, freeway driving and parking. Mez recommended to drive two hours practice before the lessons, I think that really help, and the stars as the approximate point to park is great, you pointed out what issues I have after couple mins of driving, and go over the yellow paper with me, so we can improve it together. Issues that I didn’t know, it really helps that mez help me to point out, like speed is 0 but still drive and stop in advance slowly to avoid jittering. Side Note for others, it helps if you pay attention to the details, and understand how the vehicles works when you discuss it with your close ones, like how the wheels on the front turns but not the back, the back remain straight.

Fantastic experience: I went to take an exam in a friend's car, but I didn't pass it. They recommended your company to me. We drove with an instructor for 2 hours and passed the exam on the same day. Negative experience: They aren’t really flexible or patient with you. I’ve tried to reschedule due to family emergencies and I was called irresponsible for it. Literally…he used very discouraging words to bring me down because I was trying to get more details about this driving school that I have never been to. Then he told me he was gonna block me for asking questions and now I have to find a different driving school. Smh…it seems like they are just money hungry.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. I am from India and did not have experience about US driving. First of all, the instructor answered my call and very professionally understood my requirement. I initially took 2 hours behind the wheel session, though i was nervous at first but it went well. The instructor infused confidence in me, with his experience he knew where i would be going wrong and helped me out quickly. He shared the feedback, made me understand where I have to take care and he explained the rules and how to handle real life situations. I also asked him for the driving road test at Arden Hills. He gave a 1 hour of warm up session on the testing day, quickly made me revise the rules and hands-on about everything in driving. I drove on streets and highways. That 1 hour session helped me regain the confidence for the road test. He guided and corrected me wherever i was going wrong. He explained the entire process how the test will go. I passed the test first time. Thanks to the Sunrise Driving School. Would surely recommend this driving school. True Professional, Polite and his experience in teaching is awesome as he can judge your mistakes in advance and correct them accordingly.

Fantastic experience: I don’t normally give reviews but for this I have to say, Mez is without a doubt the best driving instructor in the twin cities/metro area. He helped me so much with getting comfortable on the road and focusing on each area I needed improvement on during each lesson. It’s worth the price for a 2 hour session at a flat rate where he picks you up and drops you off for each lesson. I had been putting off driving for so long and anxious about it but he helped me a lot, so much so that I passed my test on the first try! He’s a great guy, very calm and won’t yell at you like other instructors are prone to or like my high school drivers Ed teacher. Definitely take lessons with Mez if you’re struggling, he will turn you into a pro in no time. Bonus: you can use his car for the drivers test and have a 2 hour lesson before your test! Fantastic experience: Writing my first ever review, because its totally worth it! I took Liben's classes when I was new to driving a car but he made me a very good driver in only 8h of lessons. He always focuses on what improvements we need to make and his suggestions will be focused on making us a safe and better driver. When it comes to number of classes needed, his suggestions will be very precise. He often suggests people to take less hours if he feels that their driving is good and they don't need more hours. Being an instructor, not everyone will suggest people to take less hours if they are focused on making money. He is best at what he does and you will not regret for spending on his lessons. His lessons will definlitely help people to pass the driving test and also become a safe driver.

Fantastic experience: Mez is a superb trainer. He will help you with all the techniques to pass the driving test. Even though I was driving for many years in India, it was bit a hard for me here with the left hand driving. He helped me to gain the confidence and get my license. It is worth the pay. It is also good that you can ask for his car for the test and with the camera and other controllers you can easily pass the test.

Fantastic experience: This is my first ever review and it is worth it because Mr. Liben is a very good teacher, and I would recommend him for anyone who is learning how to drive and is thinking of taking the driving test. He is patient and helps you improve in driving and gives you the confidence you need to take the road test. If you have failed once or twice on the road test and bring him your sheet he will tell you what you got wrong and will help you improve in those areas. He communicates well and will always message you within a reasonable time. From my personal experience I failed my driving exam my first time, and was recommended I take a 6 hour class with him. As each class passed I felt more comfortable with driving and I do not regret it because today I took the road test and passed with only a few wrong things.

Fantastic experience: Mez is a wonderful teacher. The pointers he gave me in the 2 hour preparation helped me pass the road test effortlessly! I failed once previously and then contacted Mez, and he helped me analyze the mistakes and then work on them point by point, and prepare for additional sections that might be helpful during the test!

Fantastic experience: I had to do lessons because I failed my driving test 4 times and I had to take the required 6 hour BTW before i could test again. I had a lot of problems finding driver’s ed services that operate within hours I can work with with my work schedule (I work 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri). This was absolutely not a problem for Mr. Liben, he works on Saturdays. Mr. L is a very good instructor. He doesn’t make you feel bad about what you don’t know, and he’s not distracting (doesn’t try to make a lot of awkward small talk or anything like that). His rate is very comparable to other schools. Could you find a cheaper driving school? Maybe, but Mr. L’s wide open schedule availability, flexibility, and overall skills as a teacher make him worth what he’s asking for. He’s really cool with the payment too, he asked for a deposit to secure scheduling but after that he didn’t mind if i payed after the services or whatever. I’ve only done 2 sessions out of 3 with Mr. L and i still need to take my driving test, but i’m already a lot more confident about my driving and I’m not nervous about my upcoming test at all. (Will update with the results of my driver’s exam.) Update (12/14/21): I passed my exam! Mr. Liben is the best! Mr. L is a superb driving instructor. I’d recommend him to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Mez is a wonderful instructor. He saw what improvements I needed make in my driving, and we improved them. His teaching of the 90 degree and parallel parking worked so well that it became the least of my problems. I had failed 4 times before over a span of too many years. The 5th test that I took after his teachings made it the last time I had to take the road test. I'm so happy and grateful.

I had not driven for 8 years and when he took my first session he knew exactly where I lacked and with one more session of training, I was able to pass my test. Negative experience: He does not text nor call to advise that he will be late. After 30 mins I texted him and ask if he was on his way. No response. He finally call after 1 hour. He said he will return the money I paid in advance but he hasn’t. His advice and training is okay. He yelled at me for not going fast on the highway and keep distracting me with comments like “look at that dog, look at that baby, there is a garage sale you want to buy something” I understand he wanted to be friendly but that Is a distraction!!!!

Fantastic experience: I learned how to drive safely and effectively from Mez. He is a great instructor and person. In all my lessons I learned something new -- Mez started from basic driving maneuvers and challenged me to tougher situations as lessons progressed. His tips on parallel and 90 degree parking are unparalleled. I literally started from not knowing what parking brake is to passing the driving test in the very first attempt with performing all driving maneuvers in one shot during the test. Moreover, Mez made me a confident driver as well in the road. I would highly recommend Surnise Driving School if anyone wants to be a good driver.

Fantastic experience: I hired Mez (Sunrise Driving School-Eagan, Minnesota) for six hours of behind the wheel training. My wife Julia (Rongxin Xu) had just failed her driving test for the fourth time. I did not know what to do. I found Mez. My wife is Chinese so I wanted to make sure she felt comfortable with and could communicate with her driving instructor in English. Mez did that. Julia really liked and learned from Mez. He was patient and kind. If Julia made a mistake they would pull over and discuss what she did wrong and how to correct it. He also told her what would be required on the road test and would tell her the number of points she would gain or lose on the different parts of road test they practiced. He gave Julia confidence in her ability to drive. The night before the road test Mez texted me and said he felt Julia had a 98% chance of passing the road test if she did not go through a stop sign or drive in the wrong lane. This gave me confidence. THANKS TO MEZ, JULIA PASSED HER ROAD TEST. If I had to do it again, I would probably let my wife drive on her permit with me for a couple months to get her comfortable with the car and driving. I MIGHT EVEN RECOMMEND HIRING SUNRISE DRIVING SCHOOL EVEN BEFORE TAKING THE FIRST ROAD TEST OR AFTER FAILING THE FIRST TIME. It would have saved me a lot of time and trouble. Fantastic experience: Very much pleased with Sun Rise Driving School. I took three classes with Mr. Mez and even I was confident after taking first class. My instructor Mr. Mez is very helpful, and he taught me everything not only to pass the road test but to become a good driver. I passed my road test at first attempt. He always arrived on time and spent 2 hours in each class. I took the same car for the road test which gave me more confident as I use the same car for practice. Fantastic experience: I had absolutely no experience driving. At 32 I thought I was never going to pass I failed my test 4 times and needed to find an instructor after that. I finally passed on the fifth time (I literally tested everywhere Eagan, Plymouth, Arden Hills which I do not recommend they were kinda rude at Arden) finally passed on an open road test in Anoka which I recommend it's easier. I aced 90 degree and final park my parallel park was a pass but wide. I highly recommend the sunrise driving school. And the cost is very good.

Fantastic experience: I wanted an instructor to get my son ready for the driving test and Sunshine driving school did a great job of making sure he was ready. Fantastic experience: Mez has been an amazing teacher. I had no driving experience prior to joining sunrise driving school and I’m thrilled to pass the road test on the very first attempt. I thought I’d need 10 hours of driving lessons but Mez made it easy for me and I just took 8 hours. He knows what he needs to teach and how to pace the lessons. Not just teaching, Mez is great at pointing out our mistakes and areas of improvements. He also knows the exam weightage criteria and stresses on important things like lane change and signaling.. It was really fun to learn. I made last minute adjustments to my learning schedules and Mez never got irritated and accommodated time as per my needs . I would definitely recommend Mez for anyone new in Minneapolis. Money well spent!!!

Positive experience: Mez gave BTW lessons to my wife. He is nice person but doesn't come to pickup on scheduled time. I am very punctual person. My wife took 6 hours with him. Every time he was late for more than 30 min from scheduled pickup time, and i hated that. We had to rearrange our other commitments because of him coming late. The suggestion for Mez: Please give some extra time when scheduling your appointments as the next person doesn't wait for you while you are stuck in traffic or driving from far distance and then you have to contact then for getting late.
