Nathan's Driving School Inc

A Legacy of Safe Driving in Atlanta

Nathan's Driving School Inc is a family-owned institution with over three decades of experience, established in 1986 by founder Nathan Lewit. Licensed and certified by the State of Georgia, the school serves both teenagers and adults across the Atlanta metropolitan area. Their mission, "Saving lives, one safe driver at a time," is reflected in a comprehensive curriculum that includes behind-the-wheel instruction, online and in-person classroom education, and defensive driving courses suitable for court-ordered or insurance reduction purposes.

Instructional Excellence and Student Confidence

The school's greatest strength lies in its diverse and highly rated instructional staff. Many reviews highlight instructors who are not only skilled drivers but also patient mentors who help nervous students build confidence. Instructors such as Michael, Jack, Elda, Chris Willis, Rufus, and Tom Madaus are frequently praised for their calm demeanor, thorough feedback, and ability to make learning enjoyable. For instance, students with anxiety or special needs have reported that staff members go above and beyond to create a comfortable and supportive environment, ensuring they master essential skills like parallel parking and highway driving before testing.

• Patient Mentorship: Instructors like Michael and Elda are noted for their kindness and detailed explanations.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Students report high pass rates and improved confidence under the guidance of top-rated instructors.
• Support for All Levels: The school accommodates beginners, anxious drivers, and those with special requirements.

Comprehensive Programs and Testing Services

Nathan's offers flexible learning options to fit various schedules, including virtual classroom courses and intensive in-person sessions. The school provides state-approved driver's education and allows students to take their official road test at their location, often with the same instructor they trained with. This continuity is highly valued by parents and students, as it reduces test-day anxiety. The office staff, including Natalia, Gabby, and Rachel, are frequently commended for their helpfulness in guiding families through the licensing process.

Transparency Regarding Staff and Scheduling

While the majority of experiences are positive, the school’s management publicly acknowledges and addresses occasional issues. Responses to negative feedback indicate that the company actively monitors instructor performance, with some employees having been terminated following serious complaints. Prospective students are advised that scheduling can be competitive, and while online booking is available, phone contact is often required to secure specific time slots. Despite occasional administrative bottlenecks, the consensus remains that Nathan's is a premier choice for safe, professional driver education in Georgia.
