Located at 1310 E College Way Ste A in Mount Vernon, the Bal Driving School center in Skagit County offers comprehensive driver education and testing services tailored to the local community. Established in 2012, this location serves as a Department of Licensing (DOL) approved testing center, allowing residents to complete their licensing journey without leaving the area. The school specializes in guiding students through every stage of driver education, from initial permit acquisition to the final road test.

For teen drivers, the program provides structured classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training designed to build confidence and safety skills. Instructors cover essential topics ranging from parallel parking and lane changes to high-speed freeway driving, ensuring students are fully prepared for the WA knowledge and skills tests. The center also offers specialized classes for adults, whether they are beginners seeking their first license or experienced drivers needing a refresher. Flexible scheduling and personalized attention help adult learners overcome challenges and master driving techniques at their own pace.

A key advantage of this Mount Vernon location is the availability of same-day DOL license testing. Applicants can schedule both knowledge and driving tests, eliminating long wait times associated with state offices. The process is streamlined and hassle-free, with walk-in testing available for knowledge tests (though appointments are recommended for drive tests). Staff assist with the necessary steps, including verifying WA ID numbers and uploading scores to the DOL database. Additionally, the center proudly offers instruction in Spanish, making it an accessible and inclusive option for the diverse Skagit County population.
