Fantastic experience: I took my drive test here ( I passed) and it was an amazing experience, the people were very nice and my examiner was super helpful and kind. I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone, it’s nerve racking to take a drive test but my examiner being very kind made me forget about being nervous. Fantastic experience: Bal driving school is absolutely by far the best driving school, they are patient, thorough, for a single working parent they were kind enough to work around my schedule. Any questions at any time Sanjam was a text away. Sanjam is an amazing online / in class teacher for the kids, Roger is a great in depth drive instructor, he is patient, encouraging & safety is first hand. Bal was the final drive test instructor & as with the other's has a great attitude encouraging. These qualities are great in making a calm learning & instruction experience. People learn when they feel comfortable. Never once did my granddaughter feel stressed, upset, discouraged. If she had a question she asked & they haply responded to her. There were no hidden fees, no purposeful failing to grab your pocket book. Why would you go any where else? Bal Driving School is absolutely the Best. Fantastic experience: I took my driving test somewhere else and ended up with a 72%, ended up going all the way over here from Everett and they were so welcoming, not making me feel uncomfortable at all. The driving instructor was so kind, and I ended up passing with a 92%. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know who’s looking to take their test.

Negative experience: Do not waste your money or time with this school!!! My driving test was refused because I was told that I made a dangerous action. However, when I initiated a let turn in the intersection, the incoming car was more than 200 feet away and did not perform any evasive action. The instructor was in a hurry to go to another test. Conclusion: do not waste your money with this school

I'm a little confused because everything seemed fine when I explained everything to you and your wife. But anyway, let's discuss it! Our goal is always to maintain the highest safety standards during each test, as we're committed to ensuring the safety of all road users. In situations involving left turns, our instructors are trained to evaluate not only the distance but also the timing and potential impact, prioritizing a conservative approach to safety. As per your wife's particular driving test situation, she failed because she did not yield to oncoming vehicles when we were turning left on an unprotected left. As I explained to her and you, this is quite dangerous. As per the comment that " the incoming car was more than 200 feet away," that oncoming car was near the crosswalk, about to turn right as your wife was turning left. This is dangerous, sir. It's very unsafe. We understand how disappointing your results must've been, and we apologize if you felt the process was rushed. However, your driving test was done in full. Once a dangerous action is committed, the test is over. This is in line with what DOL has taught us. I didn't have time for another drive time that your wife had requested because you were already 15 minutes late to your original appointment. It's unfair to our other customers if we keep them waiting when we promised them a particular time. Fantastic experience: My son loved his drivers Ed teacher and he had a good experience with all the drives. They contacted me when it was time for him to do a drive and it was very easy to get a time that worked. Scheduling his written exam and drive exam were also easy. They always got back to me right away with any questions I had and they worked really hard to help my son be successful in getting his license.

The instructor was very friendly and spoke in a calming manner and gave clear instructions on what he wanted you to do. He was willing to even illustrate elements of parallel parking on his notepad to help with visualization.

Fantastic experience: It was awesome getting my license at one bal driving school. I felt involved in the classes as a student and just being able to learn in fun ways like kahoots and Quizlet about a bunch of signs and situations your in as a driver, actually made me remember all that stuff. Good driving lessons as well, I really liked Roger as an instructor vary straight forward and let’s you know what you need work on and need to get done as a student driver. I would really recommend doing one bal driving school they really understand how much of a privilege it is to drive and to be able to get your license. Thank you vary much to one bal driving school. Fantastic experience: For context, I was a student in this school’s driver’s ed program, and had amazing experience. My driving instructor, Sanjam, was super nice and helpful. He guided me through my first driving lesson with care and attention, making sure I felt comfortable and confident behind the wheel. The online Zoom classes I did were overall good. The instructor made sure the information was clear and memorable, drilling it in brain so well that even after a year, I still remember everything pretty vividly. I did a lot of research before signing up for this program. Compared to other driving schools in town, Bal's stands out as one of the best. Some friends have mentioned issues with other schools, from scheduling to other issues including instructors with some questionable methods. Overall, I would recommend Bal’s driver’s ed program to other students.

Fantastic experience: 100% Professional Services and very friendly instructors! Thank you Sanjam for being an awesome teacher. I would totally recommend this place to friends and families. My daughter went to 9-1-1 Driving school for her knowledge test 3 times and they didn’t even give her a hint of which questions to study on. And she misses it by 2 questions. Fantastic experience: Very nice and professional business went in there to take my knowledge test then found out I can take the driving test there as well , with a provided company car . No trick questions on the written test it was all pretty formal basic rules of the road ️ if you know you know if you don't you must not have read the book. I passed the knowledge test then almost instantly took the driver's test the driver's test was pretty simple you just drive down the road go down the block back up parallel park️ anything you may have to do in a real life driving situation he doesn't just say out of the blue turn here he'll let you know ahead of time that being said I passed the written and driver's test in the same day and if I have had time I could have gone to the DMV and got my physical license same day as well overall experience five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐5/5 !!!!!!!! P.S. he knows multiple languages so that can be very helpful and convenient for others.

My husband came for a drive test only because we had a bad experience somewhere else and was as happy as I was very nice instructor and did his best comunicating with him as my husband doesnt speak spanish. Fantastic experience: I took adult lessons for driving and out of all the places I tried going to before, I received the most positive experience here. I learned driving very quickly. I completed all trainings and finally accomplished getting my drivers license. The owner and his son are very good and patient trainers, who teach you with safety and rules as well as giving excellent tips while driving. I highly recommend bal driving school.

Fantastic experience: I had an early appointment for a drive but had expired tabs. Although they were busy he was polite and said he had until two. Friend came and helped me out. I missed my appointment but after a short wait he managed to get my drive in. Very polite and by the book. Recommend

Fantastic experience: I studied a lot , not only from the guide book but from online testing . I was so nervous and passed the written , and passed my drive. Positive experience: Did both my written and driving test here overall it was quick and easy, they do walk ins which was really good for my schedule. The location of this school and the overall feel felt a bit odd, just make sure to bring any necessary documents and make sure the vehicle you bring has met all requirements he will not hesitate to charge you again. Study the handbook don't just rely on internet practice quizzes

Fantastic experience: I went to the school called murros first and actually they were very rude to me, without explaining to me why my failures! A friend recommended this school thanks God I had a couple of failures and the examiner took his time explaining what I had to practice, apart from that he told me my good points! Negative experience: Go anywhere else in town. Extremely uninformative about what documents were needed to test. We canceled, did not test, and BAL still charged us and refused a refund. Crookish and unprofessional. I recommend Whatcom Driving Academy- Annalyn and her husband are extremely friendly, fair, honest, and professional.
Vehicle's & driver's requirements must be met before skills test is conducted. It is required by DOL and customer is always notified. It is posted on our web and school exam policy. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: They were really friendly, I made and appoinment and I arrived 1 hr earlier, they werent upset, they accomodated me so i didnt have to wait for 1 hr more, i failed the firat test, but they i paid for a second, i passed... even if i was really nervous Bal was friendly and made me feel better. Negative experience: BAL Driving School is a scam, $35 dollars can be a really good deal if you pay it once. However, I believe the instructor in Mount Vernon failed me just to make me retake their driving test again. Things were amiss right from the beginning. It was pouring, so when we got inside the car, the rear windows were fogged. I had to wait for a few minutes so the foggy windows would clear, but he seemed to be in a hurry to finish the test and asked me to start driving even without good visibility through the rear window. During the driving, I was having a hard time understanding his directions. I made two minor mistakes, but when I finished the test he read me a litany of supposed errors that I committed – the vast majority of which I knew I did not make. I have been driving for 15 years, and besides, I passed with a nearly perfect score the next day with another instructor. Cheaper isn't always better; in the end you pay more. Go to Munros’ driving school; they are much more professional.
Sorry to hear that you did not pass the skills test. Lots of things you mentioned doesn't make any sense, we have instructors and examiners fully licensed and certified from DOL and they are 20-25 years in this profession. We never rush, as per DOL drive test must not be less then 15 minutes. we don't understand what make you say that. Please read the customers review who rate us 5 stars. Errors you make on your drive test is deductable. Our goal is to keep everybody safe on the road, We always tell people get ready for drive test just like not passing written test if not study WA driver guide book. Again remember is a WA STATE APPROVED DRIVER LICENSE TESTING CENTER. not a scam. ....

Negative experience: Terrible place to go for a driving test. There was an obnoxious beeping sound the whole time distracting me greatly, the instructor didn't wear his seat belt. At one point he pulled the wheel away from me when there was no danger at all and swerved me out of my lane almost causing a collision, i will be reporting to the DOL. If i could give a negative amount of stars, i would. Also don't say you didn't test me when I have the $80 I paid to you in my bank statements. Even more reason for people to not go to this place, they try to discredit anyone who says anything negative!
We never tested you, we don't even have your record in our file. You're just making false comments which doesn't make any sense at all.

Negative experience: Never been so disrepected in my life, never was spoke to by my name, lady or hey lady. Was sent running back and forth to my insurance company two days in a row, was told to go outside and pay on line for my drive test, which I did and walked back in 5 minutes later and was told it was to late to my drive test. Had to reschedule. Came back the next day and was told I didn't have the right insurance papers, had to back to insurance company, and they printed out everything they thought he could need, I already showed him my insurance card. No respect for women. When we got back from drive test I parked and he said sorry lady you filed, got out of the car and walked away. Very unprofessional
Thanks Mrs Commack to write us a review, First of all you walked in to pay your skills exam of someone else's credit card which is illigal and then you paid online via paypal.You didn't had an insurance of your vehicle which is again against the law. You are required by DOL that you have to have SR22, which you didn't had at the time of testing. For all those your documents not having you are blaming school, we don't get it. As per our school policy at the time of testing, if you don't have all the requirements you money will be forfeited. My examiner still waived your penalty, and gave your time to get all your paperwork ready and reschedule your exam, so nice of him but school has to pay him anyway. You took a skills test with us next day, instead of saying thanks to the school for no charge and giving you extra time to collect all your requirements and then you are saying we are unprofessional. So we don't understand again what makes you say that....good luck and hope you drive safe.
Fantastic experience: I am very satisfied with my experience at Bal Driving School. My instructor was very professional, patient, polite, and respectful. The prices are very competitive and the owner made sure that I did not spend any more money on lessons than I needed to, and scheduled my test as soon as he believed I was ready. I highly recommend this driving school. :) :) :)
