Everyone was so nice and personable. The lady at the desk gracefully answered any questions that we had, and I also witnessed her go out of her way to help another customer and her daughter. The instructor kept my son at ease with fun casual conversation while still conveying to him any corrections he needed to make. It definitely felt like a family atmosphere, and I would recommend them to anyone as they were recommended to us. Negative experience: My daughter, who has autism and is 21, wanted to focus on learning to drive, so she signed up with Frost Driving School on February 29, 2029. While I tried very hard to work with the staff and understand their perspective, the process has been incredibly challenging, especially after paying $460. Scheduling has been inconsistent, with her driving sessions spaced too far apart. It's now October, and we've only been contacted just now for her 4th session. During one session, we discovered her license had expired, so she couldn't drive, which I understand entirely. However, I was charged a $45 fee for the missed appointment. When I asked about the policy, the instructor said it wasn't his rule, and the soon-to-be owner claimed it was the instructor's rule. I paid the fee, but I still don't know whose rules we're following. I'm troubled that my daughter is still uncomfortable on the road after seven months and only three drives spaced months apart. Additionally, the instructors do not seem equipped to handle autistic adults. Despite my repeated requests, the one instructor I wanted her to drive with wasn't allowed to teach her. It's upsetting to leave such a negative review, but after trying my best to make this work, I feel compelled to share my experience.

Negative experience: Took a driving test here a while back and was very disappointed. The administrator who gave me the test immediately changed his demeanor the moment we got in the car, and started nitpicking how I drove to the point I genuinely felt like an idiot. He also didn’t mind being as rude as possible and called me stupid on several occasions. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the lady at the front was extremely nice and the process was decently quick. Other than that, don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

Fantastic experience: I had a very great experience with Frost! I took four adult lessons and my road test with Frost. I had Mr. Combs for my first lesson and Mr. Wells for my final 3 and my test. Mr. Combs was nice and helpful. Mr. Wells was a fantastic instructor, he’s very calm and patient, and offers great constructive criticism to help you improve on your weaknesses. I had very little anxiety on the day of my test. When I first started I was so worried about the classes and the test that I was going to take, but after all of my lessons with Mr. Wells I wasn’t that worried about how I would do. I passed, and I highly recommend Frost for anyone’s driving lessons, and I highly recommend Mr. Wells for a helpful instructor! Thank you Mr. Wells and Frost!

Negative experience: Was feeling very confident at the beginning of the test, but was not happy at all with my driver. He kept coming across like he was trying to be overly wise in regard to my driving, constantly micromanaging every part of my test and my driving even though i was trying to focus, and he honestly made me doubt my confidence to the point where I'm honestly glad I can go to DPS over here. Never thought an instructor would micro manage and stress me to the point of having a panic attack and make me feel stupid, second and last time I spend money at Frost.

Fantastic experience: The instructor/driving tester helped my son who has extreme test anxiety feel comfortable and relaxed about driving. He talked to him about his experience and his concerns prior to driving with him and made sure he understood what was expected and how it would work. My son was able to relax behind the wheel with someone he didn’t know riding shotgun and he passed his test! When they got back the instructor spoke to us and let us know how well he did. He answered all our questions and was very helpful with the entire experience. I would 100% recommend taking a driving test at Frost, rather than waiting for the DPS.

Negative experience: We have got nothing from this school but frustration. Never received any communication from them about anything. The instructor had no responsibility and was always on vacation. We paid almost 500$ for the lessons but have got nothing from them and had to do most of the learning on our own at home. Please do not waste your money on this school.

Any deaf community should go to frost driving school in Belton or harker heights depending where you’re located at…very understanding and will work with you on the location if you can’t get to harker heights they’ll reroute you to belton thank you Mr.Martin!

Negative experience: If the option was available I would rate zero stars. I was misinformed and paid almost 400 dollars for classes that are not even honored from the State, I was told if we didn't want to pay an extra fee for the written part we could go online and that is what we did. We were not informed until the day of the testing that she did not have a certificate needed for the test, and what I paid for did not include all the driving hours required. When I brought to his attention that he had left out what was actually required for the test, prior to registration, he got upset and said he was refusing service to us.

Fantastic experience: When I first signed up with Frost driving school I was nervous about learning a new skill, Jim Wells helped with easing my nervousness, as well as teaching me in such a way that helped me retain the information. I progressed much faster than I thought I would. As an adult learning how to drive for the first time Jim helped my progression to where I passed the test the first try and with 100 score, I would recommend all adults learning for the first time to coordinate with Jim to have him teach. Thank you again Jim for your patience and for helping me accomplished one of my goals and that was to obtain a valid drivers license. I will always remember all your funny jokes.

Fantastic experience: They were so nice!!!! I was blown away by how accommodating they were. I called to see how I could schedule a review + driving test for my son that they have on their website, as it doesn’t allow you to book that package online. Without my knowing they were wonderful enough to schedule his appointment outside of normal hours in order to accommodate for the review session. They didn’t bring it to my attention, didn’t make me feel like they were doing me any favors, didn’t charge extra or nothing. It’s humbling to have this type of service available so close to home for such a reasonable price. He eased my sons anxiety with some laughs, helping him be able to focus and pass on his first road test attempt! I am so appreciative of the guys who work at the Belton location. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Wells did a good job at calming nerves during the test and a great job at instructing/correcting me during lessons. The young man at the desk, I believe his name is Eric, was very helpful and willing to answer questions if I had them. Wells scheduled me in as soon as he possibly could, and we got all lessons done pretty quickly and I passed my test! I now have my license and would not have been able to get it done as quickly or as efficiently as I did if I didn't go here. Thank you to everyone, but especially Mr. Wells!

Fantastic experience: Frost driving school is the best place to learn. With hands on and classroom experience, there’s almost a full guarantee that you cannot fail! The staff are kind, patient, and flexible. There is personal scheduling and with instructor driving classes, you get hands on experience in many different driving areas. If I had to do it all over again, there would be no complaints from me!

Positive experience: We did the parent taught course with the some driving lessons and test conducted by Frost Driving school. The only frustrating part of the process was scheduling the driving times online. COVID has really backed up the calendar and slots filled up every Wednesday right at 5. The driving, documenting online, and driving test were all a very smooth process. Walking into the DPS office with the sealed envelope knowing we had everything together was awesome! I was taking my driving test and was nervous but my instructor explained every thing to me properly and I knew exactly what would be expected of me. Really quick, he explained the process thoroughly and calmed all nerves, and when driving he made sure to keep the comfort levels high as we chatted and drove around. The competitive appointments are for good reason, because they're much better than anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I just passed my drivers test at Frost belton. The staff was well communicated when I had any questions regarding the process. Mr wells, specifically, was very patient and did very well easing my nerves when on the road and taught me everything step by step which I found very helpful. I wouldn’t have passed today without his kind guidance and I’m the most grateful. These are wonderful people who love what they do and it shows. I recommend anyone to go here if they are looking for a sufficient hand on learning experience.

Positive experience: Update: we have been able to take advantage of some cancelled sessions and have submitted to the Wednesday race. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Driving sessions fill up within 15 seconds of being posted so if you're not ready and connected with high speed internet at exactly 5p every Wednesday, you're SOL. No refunds (I tried). Despite this terrible process, the instruction is great and my son has only positive things to say about the instructors. I could easily give 5 stars if we didn't have to compete for driving sessions each week. Classroom instruction was great. Driving instruction is difficult to schedule. We haven't been able to get a driving session scheduled yet so this review is based on that problem. Frost doesn't have enough drivers for the students and you have to be online when they post a schedule (every Wednesday at 5p) to compete for a driving session. Good luck if you already paid for this course.... may the odds be ever in your favor on Wednesdays at 5pm!! We are following all instructions that were given to us and cannot seem to get a driving session scheduled. We still have 5 months to get it done so I'll provide an update.

Fantastic experience: I have been stuck in the licensing process for years, too afraid to test. I finally decided to do that and went through Frost. I am thrilled and have no regrets in doing so. My tester, James Wells was incredibly kind, patient and communicative. If (god forbid) I ever needed to retest, I would absolutely go through Frost again and would recommend their testing services to anyone.

Negative experience: I had high hopes for this place based on the previous reviews, but I am here to say beware. I brought my son here to have a driving test completed. I arrived 5 minutes early and was greeted by a chunky fellow who immediately started to help us. I presented my paperwork only to realize I printed the wrong certificate. Easy solution, email the correct certificate to said employee, right? Nope! The employee presented my son with a sticky note with an email address incorrectly written. When the employee didn't receive it after two attempts. I questioned the address. Only to have him blame us for not understanding his "doctor handwriting." Then the driving instructor comes in to say he wants to grab the next client. The Frost employee says ok! The other clients come in, the Frost employee stops helping us..... helps them instead and let's them take our appointment time! And the icing on the cake? They don't even make them complete all of their paperwork before they let them take our spot! When I questioned what was happening to the chunky Frost employee he blamed me for not having all the paperwork ready, which was pretty rich considering the people that took our spot didn't complete theirs! Nor did the student who came after us upon leaving! The same certificate that we needed to email to the employee was the same one the kid was missing after us but yet he was still permitted to take his test! To make matters worse the driving instructor came back with my son citing a slew of unlawful complaints, such as criticizing my son for not accelerating fast enough from a red light. Last time I checked you should wait before pulling away from a stop light to check to make sure the intersection is clear. This place is unprofessional and not a place would recommend!

Negative experience: Still trying to get a drive time for my son the way the scheduling works is insane, you have to login every Wednesday at 5 to schedule? I'm not always by my computer nor is my son.We work and he's in school.Then I call their Voice is full? At this time he has until 03/30 to complete 14 hours or pay another $100 to extend.But I have called, emailed and tried to set a time. This is not a good way to do business.I do not recommend this place at. I paid $395 for this program and believe me I wouldn't do this again with this company. Please do your research and I wish I did because most of the complaints are due to the drive time.

Negative experience: If i had known then what i know now i would have NEVER used this driving school ! My daughter passed her written test back in August and got her permit the same month but she has only been able to drive with an instructor twice since then. Never enough instructors and they only schedule on wendsdays but you can never get a session. They schedule through a company in Houston !?! If you have a teen coming of age to drive i advise you to DRIVE right past this place !!!
