Fantastic experience: I enjoyed my time at this driving school. The teachers (Mr Mekonnen are knowledgeable and open to questions. With a quick - easy process in each step, made me less nervous, and built up the confidence, from in class 30 hrs, a behind the wheel practice 6 hrs , and excellence service with MVA test assistance , I've passed my first try ...:) :)

Fantastic experience: I used Circle Driving School this fall and was extremely pleased by the virtual in-class instruction who was extremely patient and helpful. What made me worried was the behind the wheel practice, but again, I was pleased by how Mr. Mekonnen instructed. He was very laid back, patient, and reassuring in his approach. After the requisite 6 hours, I hired him one last time (well technically 2) for one driving lesson before the behind the wheel test at the MVA. Can you rent his car for the final test, which if you've done the 6 hours will be very helpful. Mr. Mekonnen will show you what the examiners will be testing you on, the route you will take and what pitfalls you should avoid. I can't stress how amazing he was as a teacher. No negative feedback, I passed my driving exam on the first attempt and want to continue to sing his praises.

Fantastic experience: Ok I started driving with Zero experience and I’m 21. I was a little nervous, when I started. All I knew was where the break and and accelerator looked like. By my THIRD lesson I was a proficient driver with circle. I signed up for 5 lessons in the beginning cause I knew NOTHING, but I didn’t even need the last two tbh. I recommend for adult drivers. Good luck getting your license!

Negative experience: I would not recommend this driving school to anyone. They are careless and brute. Notice how they get so defensive anytime someone posts a negative review. The response on the negative reviews is how they talk to their customers. That right there should tell you everything you need to know.

Fantastic experience: I drove with the instructor for only 2 days (4 hours total) and he was very patient and was determined to help me out until I succeeded with parking and have understanding of it. He also told me about signs and helped me a bit with my car turning. I have lost confidence over the past year about my driving but I have gathered it again and I will recommend this school! It's right by the Montgomery College campus so any young and new drivers should come here if they're looking for a closer school. I will definitely come again sometime in the year if I ever need more skill polishing.

Negative experience: Title: A Shameful Driving School Experience Review: ⭐☆☆☆☆ I am utterly disgusted and appalled by the treatment my little sister received at this driving school. It is my duty to warn others about the unscrupulous practices and complete lack of professionalism exhibited by this establishment. First and foremost, the instructors showed a blatant disregard for my sister's safety and well-being. They consistently pushed her beyond her comfort zone, putting her in stressful and dangerous situations without providing the necessary guidance and support. Their reckless behavior not only undermined her confidence but also jeopardized her physical safety. Furthermore, the driving school displayed a shocking lack of integrity when it came to their pricing. They had initially quoted us a reasonable fee, but as the lessons progressed, they started demanding additional charges for services that were supposedly included in the original package. It was a clear case of exploiting vulnerable individuals, preying on their lack of knowledge and using it to their advantage. Communication with the driving school was an absolute nightmare. They were consistently unresponsive, often ignoring our calls and emails, making it nearly impossible to address our concerns or obtain any necessary information. This lack of professionalism and basic courtesy is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we attempted to voice our grievances and seek a resolution, the driving school's management dismissed our complaints and showed a complete lack of empathy. They were dismissive, unapologetic, and even had the audacity to shift the blame onto my sister, suggesting that she was at fault for the negative experience. As a result of this horrendous experience, my sister's confidence has been shattered, and she is now hesitant and fearful when it comes to getting behind the wheel. This driving school has not only failed to fulfill its duty to educate and empower new drivers but has also caused lasting emotional distress. In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering this driving school to think twice before enrolling. The unprofessional conduct, disregard for safety, deceptive pricing, and lack of customer service make this establishment unworthy of your time, money, or trust. Seek a reputable driving school that values its students and upholds the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Fantastic experience: I have failed my driving test multiple times and whenever I needed a practice before the next driving test I would go here. The driving school I went to no longer did extra practice due to COVID so I’m glad I found Circle Driving School. Instructors are nice and make you feel comfortable. I used a rental car from them and I passed my driving test finally. This school is very helpful and had various hours for days that you would need an extra practice lesson

Fantastic experience: Mechoian is awesome! I am a woman who couldn’t pass her drivers test to save her life before circle driving school. I took lessons with Mechoian and I passed the very first time with him! I am so grateful to him. I really learned what I was doing incorrectly and how to fix my mistakes. Fantastic experience: I had an extremely positive experience with Circle Driving School. I was originally doing my driving practice with my friends, which was good but still not the same as an expert. I scheduled 4 lessons, 1 hour each, and went over everything I needed to pass my driving test. After the second class I had a good handle on front parking, back parking, and a 3 point turn. I scheduled for the Driving test service as well, since I did not have a car of my own. I met my instructor at his place of business and rode with him to the MVA. He handled my sign in and walked through the course with me and I passed my test on the first try!

Negative experience: I DO NOT recommend this company. On July 19th at 10:30 a.m. I signed up for this school. Thirty minutes later, same date, contacted the school in writing and verbally of my desire to cancel. They refused to issue a credit unless I physically went in with I.D. I informed them I was out of state, handicapped and unable to go in. I offered to email my drivers license to them but this was not acceptable. I have been trying to get my money back and still have not received it. They have held my $350 hostage, taken advantage of a senior citizen and by asking for someone to physically go in they could be exposing them to Covid.

Negative experience: Strongly do not recommend this school. My two week driver's education program was canceled only two days before it was supposed to start. I had to change driving schools in a panic. This delayed my schedule to receive my license by two weeks. Very poor communication. They did not even apologize.

Fantastic experience: I took their classes in 2020 for alcohol and road classes. The communication is easy and they are flexible. Prices are quite reasonable. And i loved Greg for my road practices. He teaches you with confidence and quite relaxed temperament which is very important to get over your anxiety and stress. I got my license after his lessons. Meanwhile, they are ethical too. Once, I had paid extra money by mistake and hadn't noticed that, the owner of school gave me a call to correct the payment and he reimbursed the money. I wasn't close to their address, but they would pick you up if they can.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give this place 100 Stars. In some words, they are the best. I have never had a driving license and I have always been afraid to drive. After taking the required in classroom education hours plus 6 hours driving, I concluded that they were very helpful, they DO care about the students, their safety, and their preparation. They get the students ready to pass and to succeed during their first MVA road test attempt. They are different from other driving schools, they put so much effort in helping the students that you would have not choice but to highly recommend them for their dedication. In other words, They care more about the students than about the money. In addition, I wanted to get some more experience behind the wheel because I was getting anxious while driving, so I purchased 14 extra hours which was THE BEST investment I had ever made. Mr. Gerry/Gary the instructor was amazing, he is so experienced, disciplined, and dedicated to teach. I was super lucky to have him. he encouraged me to do my best and taught me how to pass my MVA road/skills test. In addition, He focuses in safety for the students and the community. He is the best and this school is for sure the best in the area. I am very thankful to them because of their dedication, I finally got my driving license today.

Negative experience: The staff are so mean, and unprofessional. I used to drive for 60 hrs but after I came back from college, they said that I used all of my hours. They stole 11 hours from me. Not recommended at all. Also, I used to drive 2 hours per day, but the driver was always LATE and ended up with 1:40 or 1:30 mins. This school drive by Ethiopian and almost all of its students are from Ethiopia, and that is why they have a good rate. If you are care about your time, your money, and want to see RESPECT , FIND A BETTER PLACE.

Fantastic experience: I came to Circle Driving School based on the reviews I found here, so I'd like to pay it forward and let people know about my positive experience. I came to the school the day I received a driver's permit and spoke with Mr. Arega Gera about the Maryland required 30-hour driver's education program. Turns out they had just begun day 1 of the 2-week course, so I enrolled that day and showed up for the course in the evening. Mr. Gary was my classroom instructor, and my initial driving coach. I can't stress enough how wonderful of an instructor that Gary is in both environments. The classroom curriculum is pretty dry (and state mandated), but Gary stayed enthusiastic and involved, and made sure that students participated in the lectures. Not only that, but he also worked with students to make sure that the material was clear, and to refine and correct students so that they don't make mistakes with the MVA or while driving. As for the road instruction, Gary was very patient, attentive, and analytical about my driving. Even if I was about to or had made a minor mistake, he never felt the need to grab the steering wheel from my hands or step on the passenger-side break. I've had an instructor in the past who felt the need to do both, constantly, and I'm sure many people can say the same (not that I blame them; being in the car with a new driver can be very nerve-wracking!). After I completed the 30-hour curriculum, which included 6 practice hours of driving, I decided to continue practicing with the school. I also had another instructor, Mr. Ruben, who I occasionally rode with. He was also an excellent teacher, and gave me some very useful perspectives on safe driving techniques that I hadn't considered. Most importantly, he also explained WHY it's a good idea to do certain things in certain ways, such as keeping up with traffic, how to look at your mirrors/blind spots, and making eye contact/waving with other drivers and pedestrians to communicate with them. The only inconvenience I had experienced was at a scheduled practice driving appointment, where my instructor (I believe it was Ruben that day) was scheduled to meet with me, but the previous appointment met with him 40 minutes late. Practice driving sessions are 2 hours each, and since appointments are usually scheduled back-to-back, this meant that I would potentially need to wait about 40 minutes until I could meet with my instructor. To accommodate both of us students, rather than reschedule I agreed to wait for the instructor to return after his current driving session was done. At this point Mr. Arega himself offered to teach me in the time we had before the two of them returned. This was a pleasant surprise, as Arega is the school's manager, and he definitely did not have to do this for me. But I was very thankful for it, because I was still able to practice that day and stick to my own plans. Once I felt ready and had enough hours logged, I enrolled through the school to take the MVA practical driving test. Forgive me that I don't remember the name of the instructor who came with me to the MVA (Maresh I believe was his name), but he also gave me some great advice, and also went out of his way to wait for me to get my papers after the test and drive me back from the MVA to my next destination. Oh, and yes, I passed the test on the first try! All in all, I've had an extremely positive experience with the school and its staff. I see that there is a lot of praise for Gary in these reviews, but my other instructors were all equally helpful and important in getting my MD license. It's clear that everyone wants to help you succeed, and that management appreciates you as a student and a customer.

First, don’t be fooled by this good reviews, most of the people on the comments are from Ethiopia and the owner of this school is from Ethiopia too. That explains why you see all this good reviews. Second, the staff are so unprofessional. When I scheduled my behind the wheel hours they would always show up late. I was fooled with this good reviews, and I don’t want this same experience to happen to anybody else. So, if you care for your money look for other good school around Silver Spring. Mr. Garry your a nice teacher please do yourself a favor and find a better school that worth a person of your ability in teaching.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved my experience with Circle Driving School! I started off terrified of driving and in just a few short days I was ready for my test! I highly recommend! I'm actually African-American and didn't have any issues at all with them!

Fantastic experience: This is the best driving school in the silver spring area, with vary patient and helpful teachers. I really enjoyed the class and the behind the wheel sections. And they brought to the MAC and gave me the tools and confidence I needed to pass my license.

Negative experience: Plzzz don’t go to this school it’s terrible all these nice reviews are from the people that know the owner. Mr Gary your a good teacher but the owner of this school is a very mean and arrogant person. When he takes you for driving lessons he will be using his phone the whole time and texting.... save ur money and go to another school
