Fantastic experience: As a student, I had no CDL experience and the instructors have gone above and beyond to chisel away at my stress and anxiety about driving. The instructors have been supportive and provided lessons that keep building on each other where now I have confidence in taking my upcoming test. It is amazing to watch how all of us students came into the class with different struggles and how the instructors customized the lessons and worked with each student to help us overcome those struggles. The environment has been fun loving, enjoyable, everyone elevates each other but yet serious enough to equip each of us with tools for success. I test soon but I know that NCTDA has prepared me for success and the test is all on me now. —Sheddy

Negative experience: As I was an instructor that worked there..That went above and beyond for you! So if you passed, you’re welcome!! Now, You will find yourself lost and struggling to learn how to shift.. you will struggle on drives, hills and turns!! They will tell you to not get any lower than six gear, Just stop in six gear is what they’re gonna say! And other skills. They will say it’s you!! You need more time. Or something!! In all reality, most instructors other then Dave, there don’t have right patients or communication skills or the knowledge to get you through, or one will just be plan rude!! If it’s not going his way!! They will put you in an automatic truck, Because it makes it easier on them to not have to teach you how to shift, but they get paid the same, It’s easier for them! And not train you to your best abilities, and give up on you!! cause they don’t know how to fix it or shift right themselves. If they did, you would to!! You will pass through all of them and come out no better. But if you drive with Nick, and you hit a car, making a left-hand turn, don’t worry he’ll pay for that car bumper so it won’t be reported!! They will favor the people that have a little bit experience, That way they can make it look like they’re doing something right, Good luck with them!! I know cause they would have me to fix the ones that struggle. Well, I’m not there anymore! Sorry everyone!! They say, they teach the bare minimum. That’s cause that’s all they got.. excuses !! you will learn in the short trailers, and not know how to handle a 53 footer when you actually get out on the road. IMPORTANT, remember the people that train you CANNOT test you !! This school will go down hill for sure!! Just my own personal opinion!! O and they will bribe you with a 10$ gift card for a good review!! When and if you pass!!

Fantastic experience: These instructors are absolutely amazing. They take pride in making sure you feel comfortable and if not provide great one on one help. And it’s not a class where you only have one instructor there are multiple there as we know not everyone learns the same way. Fantastic experience: Hi This Is Chris Moreno, I Just want to say if you’re looking to go to a school to learn how to operate and drive a tractor and trailer this is the place to go. From the classroom to the driving range it was awesome. The instructors are experienced and know what they’re talking about. At first I was very nervous to venture into this new industry and was worried I may not pick it up fast enough for the amount of information I was obtaining but strangely it all came together. I think the format of how they teach in the classroom to the driving range it is a great program for it to all come together. From basic maneuvers and backing to shifting, every instructor can give you helpful advice to help you understand and get it down. Just keep soaking it all in and you will see it all come together. I got to ride with Nick and his calming energy and setting the tone for the ride, helped me remember when I took the test that it was my tractor and trailer to be in control of and to remain calm that we are just going on a drive. This is the best school in Fort Collins and I heard they’re going to open one down in Wyoming and I would recommend anyone to attend this school. Fantastic experience: I enrolled about 6 weeks ago. Started my classes this past Monday for a 24 hour 3 day class. (Class B CDL) From start to finish this organization is first class. I could not be happier with my investment into my future. I passed and had my CDL from the DMV 4 days later on Friday. My first impression was with Rhonda from the office. She was quick with communication and very helpful. I cannot say enough about Gary, my instructor. His patience and approach suited my style well. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. Taking my test with Ryan was a joy. Everyone I had contact with at this business was very professional and made me feel I made the correct choice. Their classes fill up fast...If you are in need of a CDL look no further than the folks at Northern Colorado Truck Driving Academy. You will be glad you did.

Fantastic experience: I recently enrolled in the Class "B" manual course. I spent three days driving with the legendary Gary who patiently instructed me on all scopes of safely driving these trucks. I was challenged in the right way to become a better driver. The entire staff has a teaching heart and it shows. I'll be sending my other drivers through this great school.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed my studies at NCTDA, and I have to say, I felt incredibly prepared and confident for my test. The instructors at NCTDA truly know their stuff and are committed to helping students like me develop our skills.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test the first time after taking the 3 week CDL-A course! Janice was amazing and all the instructors gave out great information about the industry and trucking throughout the course.

Fantastic experience: I received my CDL last year through another trainer whose two week program provided the bare minimum. Eight months later, when that trainer got shut down for investigation, I got called in for compliance testing with the state. Feeling annoyed and less confident of my driving skills, I reached out to NCTDA for help. Although my test was only three weeks away and their classes were full, NCTDA took the time out of their busy schedule to get me 12 hours of one-on-one training. I learned more in the first four hours of training than I had during my initial two weeks with the other trainer. A week later, I passed my compliance testing. If you're looking to train from the start, or just brush up skills, I highly recommend working with NCTDA.

Dave (instructor) will tell you to trust the process. When I finally did, it all became easy. Each instructor has their own style. You will connect with at least one of them.

Fantastic experience: There's many great things that I can say about this Academy but I'll keep it short and sweet. My initial intake with Rhonda was conducted very professionally and she had an answer (with information to back it up) to all of my questions and concerns. The 3 week CDL A class that I took was an awesome experience aswell! Dave (my instructor) is very personable and professional in all aspects of the course. He teaches in ways that made the class very understable and fun- which in return made the information taught, retainable. The rest of the staff were also very informative and professional when they were addressed, questioned, or worked with. Overall, I had great experiences here and I will take the knowledge ive learned to the field for the rest of my career. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks NCTDA

Fantastic experience: A great group of instructors, I didn't have much experience pulling trailers or driving commercial vehicles, but their staff did a wonderful job training me how to drive and have better situational awareness when pulling a trailer. Also great training on how to shift. Janice rocks, if she can't teach you then no one can. Thanks NCTDA you guys rock

Fantastic experience: This was a great place to recive your CDL training for a bus driver. The instructor was very knowledgeable, easy going, and his experience in bus driving was very helpful. The day of the test the gentleman giving the exam was great, patient, and friendly. I learned a lot and will recommend All Seasons to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I took the 24 hour school bus class, and my instructor Gary was great! He was incredibly knowledgeable from a lifetime of experience and, as needed, was both extremely firm and extremely patient with me -- striking a balance that worked really well! There is a ton to learn and 24 hours was barely enough -- I cannot imagine trying to learn all this with the 10 hour course. Everyone I have met at NCTDA has been super helpful -- there is nothing like working with professional people who really know their stuff.

Fantastic experience: The whole 3 week program with NCTDA was an incredible experience. Instructors are knowledgeable and patient even with the most inexperienced drivers. Travis and Janice both have their specialties and insight for teaching precise skills. With these great instructors and their short but thorough program anyone who’s looking to get their CDL should highly consider this place!

Fantastic experience: I obtained my class "A" CDL with NCTDA In August of 2023. The instructors were great all the way through the class. Janice was the instructor of the class room portion and she did a fantastic job explaining and answering questions. I learned something from every one of the instructors out on the range as well as the daily drive portion. Fantastic experience: After a long career in the IT field, I suffered a layoff and found myself unemployed. I had long romanticized life on the road and sought out a local truck driving school, hoping for a career change. My first point of contact at NCTDA was Ronda. I found her to be exceptionally helpful, organized and very knowledgeable about the CDL process. I passed my DOT physical, studied for and received my permit - itself no easy task - and looked forward to my first day of class. There were 6 of us - all younger than me - and from lots of different backgrounds. Janice was our teacher. She was very dedicated, funny, brought her own experiences to the class, and was both very driven to get us to learn, as well as being very down to earth. By the end of the first week we were done with quizzes and out on the range just a mile or so from the classroom. It was all smiles as Janice drove us around the abandoned airfield in "Candycane" - a massive sleeper cab tractor and long trailer. It seemed daunting to think we would soon be driving such a vehicle. As an older individual, with close to 4 decades of 2 and 4 wheel driving experience, I stupidly thought that learning to drive a truck would be a doddle...WRONG! This was both physically and mentally difficult. I had a lot of manual shifting habits from cars that needed re-training for a truck. I had never backed a trailer before and soon found myself close to the bottom of the class on these skills. It was very humbling. On the range, Ryan and Travis, along with Dave and John all brought their own flavor seasoning, years of experience, and excellent teaching skills (and humor) to the mix. To juggle all the inputs and outputs - the pre-trip, the double-clutch shifting, the spatial awareness, the defensive driving techniques, the parallel parking, the loading dock.... was a mental and physical workout. There were days I came home and just laid on the bed. It was the last but one day when things really seemed to click. I mastered shifting and got to enjoy the roads around Horsetooth, and by this time there was a real camaraderie with the fellow students and instructors as we set up our tests. I am glad to report that today I passed my test - the pre-trip, the backing maneuvers, and the drive - and I have my CDL A. If I can do it, I bet you can do to. I have a new-found respect for the men and women who spend long hours at the wheel safely delivering all the things that we consume, while suffering some awful drivers, road and weather conditions. But it feels amazing and I am looking forward to my new career.

I went in not knowing how to drive a manual or back up a small trailer for that matter, Left knowing how to drive a semi with no restrictions and how to do backing maneuvers great school the staff is all professional and very knowledgeable, if you want your class A definitely attend this course!

Fantastic experience: I attended this April 2023 the school to get my class A CDL and my passenger and school bus endorsements. I passed all tests this week. It was not always easy for me to learn all those maneuvers like offset backing, parallel parking and alley dock backing. All my instructors never gave up on me until I succeeded. Thank you for all your help. I can highly recommend the Northern Colorado Truck Driving Academy.

They will help you achieve cdl without any restrictions.. and teach you to be a better/safer driver I work for myself now doing hotshot but have cdl for when I go over 26k lbs The owner is a humble person and very understanding Thank you NCTDC

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with my experience attending this school. From beginning to end they stress what is needed by the FED to pass and get your CDL. For the money, it is a perfect compressed class to prepare you for your test and the instructors are amazing at what they do. It can seem pretty daunting at first but trust the process and make sure to keep yourself behind the wheel throughout the course and you should have no issues passing your test. This school is to provide everything needed to pass but you MUST give your all. This course is designed to give you 50% and you must actively provide the other 50% through application. This is a no BS school and I love that. If you are serious about getting your CDL, I highly recommend NCTDA. Well worth the money considering how much you can make through a career in truck driving. Thank you Dave, Ryan, Sean, Janice, Jon and Travis for your knowledge, wisdom and dedication to making sure your students pass. It was a pleasure!

Fantastic experience: Good training, great instructors. I learned a lot about trucks and driving. A lot of information needed to pass the CDL test, but instructors were thorough and patient, and by the time I tested, I had it down pat. Plenty of practice time in a variety of trucks. I would recommend this school to anyone thinking about getting a commercial license.

Fantastic experience: Just completed this course 11/18. And I will say hands down the best experience. From the classroom to the driving range , I was very impressed with all of the instructors. If you are looking to get a Class A CDL this is the place you want to go! You are taught right away about the importance of pre trips and logs, which in the real world will make you a way better driver. I loved the fact that we got a total of 9hrs of real drive time. I did my drives with Travis and kyle , and both of these guys are top notch instructors, taught me so much about being on the road and how to be safe and efficient. In the classroom nick killed it. I couldn’t ask for a better engaging classroom instructor. You get PLENTY of time to practice all backing maneuvers in the yard and I loved that. This course shows you the basics and more. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a class A! And thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to the newly created requirements by the Feds, you are required to attend a certified school to get your CDL. NCTDA does an amazing job coping with the extreme novice to some fairly experienced drivers. They stress what needs to be stressed and the instructors and owner give A LOT of one on one attention. A great experience all and all.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience my first time at the academy to get tested for a class B CDL license. My tester, Ryan worked through a DMV mistake, going above and beyond to take care of me and was fair and very detailed. From quarter turns to ratchet turns of the wheel, to finding the "spot" to make those turns. It is all very overwhelming but you all make it click by the end of the three weeks. Fantastic experience: From orientation all the way to the final test, I loved this school. The instructors and the owner are really nice and helpful. Definitely learned a lot in just 3 weeks. My class of 8 all passed their test on the first try. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into the field!

Negative experience: Would not recommend !!! I signed up for the 10 hour class. I had 1 instructor the first day he cared more about his phone than teaching !! Second day was a different instructor he changed everything the guy the first day taught me. Said his way was "easier" . Decided to switch to the 24 hour class after only being there 6 hours the boss said I only had 11 hours coming. Simple math would have given me 18 but he said no !! I went to The Randy Lopez CDL Training course in Loveland. 20 hour class for the same money as their 10 hour class !!

Fantastic experience: This class was great. Instructors were amazing. Will spend extra time on anyone who struggles. Different instructors with different styles there seems to be at least one that makes the complicated seem simple. Highly recommend this class for anyone getting their CDL. Just stick with it. Starts out overwhelming then in 3 weeks time you have the skills needed to pass the test.

Fantastic experience: Amazing people!! The entire instructing staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and patient. They will take their time with you to insure you have received the training expected. Handed me a list of companies to apply to within the first week of class and was employed by an OTR trucking company the next week. Practice range is an old airport that gives you the comfort of handling tractor trailers with ease and they wont send you onto public roads until you are comfortable doing so. When you do hit the public roads an instructor will ride with you for hours to properly educate you on all matters involved with driving through towns, country, and hills. Taking the CDL test is incredibly smooth. Testers do not rush you and allow you to perform at your pace during pre-trip. Providing you with adequate space to perform backing maneuvers. During the drive test the tester is clear and understandable about the entire process. If I could I would retake the program just because of the great experiences I had. Thank You NCTDA and all your staff.

All the instructors Gary, Travis, Ron, Ryan, and Nick were all extremely knowledgeable and always willing to break things down to the lowest level to help everyone better understand. They keep the setting friendly, light and professional. I couldn’t have picked a better CDL course to attend and am grateful for the knowledge they shared. If you’re looking for a CDL course in the Noco area or are willing to travel. This is the one for you.

Fantastic experience: Cant say enough good about these guys (and gal sharon). I was the first to graduate from the new amended class structure and let me say my $ was well spent! Travis Shramek was amazing! Such a great teacher. I felt like I could drive and take the test before I left the classroom! He had my confidence at its peak all while making sure I was humble and able to drive the truck and perform my test with confidence! Everyone at the facility is great highly regarded in my book. Fantastic experience: I got my permit and had no clue what to do next or how to do it. So I found NCTDA online and i think that's what I need is someone to pound it into my head! And that what I got from gary. I feel so comfortable inside and outside of my bus now. Gary is a cut and dry kind of guy like this is what you need to do or say if you want to pass bottom line! I learned a ton thanks again gary! Ryan gave me my test and I was very nervous and he said just tell me everything you learned and lets go from there. Passes 1st time! Fantastic experience: The best of all that’s out there I tried Colorado Springs for a drive test and got zero call back! Called Sharon at this place and was hooked up immediately My tester Nick, was awesome, he’s a awesome tester and even a better man, he took his time and saw I was nervous and calmed me down and explained clearly what was expected to pass this test, he is on key to keep the roads safe. We went thru the test, my alley dock took a few times…urrr But we got thru the test and passed, I highly recommend this company and wish them all the best as they are super friendly and care about you and the drivers they put out on the road, bottom line, don’t go anywhere else, you won’t find service and just good people like this place

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic experience!!! The instructors are all well versed in their field. Having that much hands-on experience makes me feel so much more confident in my abilities now. The front office is amazing as well. The help I got from them made it so much easier then I had ever imagined. Thank you all for the help and training. Fantastic experience: Great academy to attend and get well perpared! Superb instructors, great atmosphere overall, good drive time and equipment to train in. Two instructors where key in obtaining my Clas A, which was Travis and Ryan; which are great at what they do. Travis helped me be on track, and was involved majorly on my learning. Therefore, i truly appreciate his help and teachings. I would 100% recommend the Academy.

Fantastic experience: very good cervices and kind staff. I had Garry as a teacher, he was kind and very good at explaining things. I went in with a good amount of knowledge and still learned a ton. My test instructor was Ryan and he was very calm and personable. He did not add unnecessary anxiety or stress to my test and was good at furthering my knowledge after my test so that I am even more prepared for the real world. This place is hands down the best run driving class I've been to.

Fantastic experience: Great school definitely worth going through this 3 week course. Goes by fast but you have plenty of time to learn everything in order to pass. Exceeded my expectations, they adapt to everyone's learning progress. Because we all learn differently and at different paces. They focus on those individuals, giving them that extra push to help get them to be successful. Plenty of drive time and practice time for each individual unlike other schools. Highly recommend this program to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Retired from a 25 year career driving a desk and perused my CDL-A through NCTDA. Needless to say, I had some serious challenges. However the instructors were patient and professional and easily recognized my challenging aspects and helped me work through them. Now I feel confident in driving for any company. (Gave me a new appreciation for what my 16 year old recently went through). If you’re thinking of driving for a living, NCTDA is a great starting point, regardless of your past employment endeavors.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed the 3 week CDL A class. I have never been given so much information in a short period in my life, all of which was important, useful, and helpful. I went from having never driven a truck, to being confident in my ability to drive a tractor trailer almost anywhere. Ryan is an absolutely phenomenal instructor, I couldn't have done it without him. Small classes mean students get more individualized attention, and the instructors really know their stuff. I highly recommend this school if you're thinking about driving trucks. 10/10

Fantastic experience: This is a great school to use to get your CDL. I had never driven a semi before this school and by the end I was confident in myself on the road. The instructors were all great and patient with the students. They made sure to go out of there way and make sure everyone got the attention they needed in order to pass. This is a great CDL school and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a truck driving school. Even if you are intimidated by driving a semi when you are done here you won’t be. Great school, great instructors, great equipment. I highly recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: Great school with highly skilled trainers. They have a quality program that adequately prepares you to get a CDLA. As a totally inexperienced driver I felt prepared to take the test after the three weeks of training. The trainers were very patience and understanding giving each person the individual time needed. Fantastic experience: (Too long; Didn't Read: Incredible and knowledgeable staff that ensured my classmates and I were over-prepared for our test, and even offered extra one on one time to work on road skills post test due to the odd schedule during the COVID pandemic. I attended the 160 hour CDL A driving course during the COVID-19 Pandemic here. Despite having lost some of their staff, and only having Nick (the owner), Cynthia and Ryan working, they did an incredible job. They were incredibly flexible working with odd DMV times, adjusting to work with social distancing, and went above and beyond in any way they could to ensure each of us had a thorough and confident understanding of the required knowledge for the test and our future jobs. Nick and Ryan were incredibly easy to get along with, exceptionally knowledgeable in their trade, and consistently went above and beyond what was expected of them as instructors despite a chaotic and awkward schedule. I can not recommend these guys more. I was incredibly impressed with their attitude as a company, and the character of their employees.

Fantastic experience: I went to this school in October of 2019; they are incredibly professional, patient, and helpful during backing exercises and driving. All three of the instructors had different teaching methods and styles that work for students differently. Not only do they help you get your CDL, they also help you land a job afterwards. While many of the connections they provide are for 21 years and older (I was 19), I was still offered many jobs in high paying warehouse positions for the waiting period until my 21ist birthday. The owner of the company (Nick), rented out an extra automatic truck for one of the other students (costing the company almost $5,000 and over the price of the student) just to make sure that he passed his test. Truly the best truck driving school in Colorado. I fully plan to come back for their refresher course and would always make this my first choice in comparison to other schools. (If you put effort into the course they will take you into the mountains which is incredibly invaluable information when you start your career.)

Fantastic experience: CDL-A training at NCTDA gave me everything I needed to pass the permit and license tests. The instructors were very good and it showed that they wanted to see the students succeed. You will take away great skills from Gary, Bill and Ryan if you are willing to put in the time and effort. I was able to get a job as a CDL-A driver quickly after completing the class. Overall, this was a great place to start on the path to a new career. Fantastic experience: Easily one of the best classes I've ever taken, and that's coming from someone who has a bachelor's degree. Nick and his team are great, they will work with you and have decades of experience to guide you to receiving your CDL. The team cares about you and wants you to have a safe and successful career. I don't think you can find another training program as good as this one in all of Colorado.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed training and received my Class-A CDL. The training was thorough and well explained in a manner that I can relate too. The experience and patience the instructors provided worked well for me. The amount of students and the instructors being taught was incredible. I always had an instructor with me or I had access to for help and guidance. All the students in my class had access to their own individual truck for training. It was a 3 week course and time is well scheduled to each students needs. After I received my CDL and started my job search , companies are very familiar with the academy and are ready to hire straight out of school with only a 160hrs. of tractor-trailer experience. Yes!, I would recommend Northern Colorado Truck Driving Academy to everyone.

Fantastic experience: The training was very well planned and suited to my needs. It was very helpful to have experienced drivers as trainers and to know precisely what testers will be looking for. Bill did a great job of explaining the pre-trip, backing skills, and driving test points to help me feel confident going in to the testing!
