Fantastic experience: I did my adult driving classes with the owner of the business and she is extremely nice, knowledgeable and friendly. She made my driving lessons very easy and she is very confident in her teaching and doesn’t make you nervous. She is also very, very, very friendly makes you feel like you are learning from a friend! 10/10 do recommend.

Negative experience: Personal opinion - excellent well-mannered polite lady but the most unprofessional service ever. Facts: 1. No help in scheduling roadtest. Had to take 3 days off work and had to get an appointment myself. Whats the point of paying for a roadtest when the driving school isn’t even recognized by the DMV? Gets me to #2. 2. DMV declined to take my road test since the vehicle insurance was invalid since the firm Amigo Driving School might be registered company, but DMV does not recognize it, or at least did not recognize it on that day. 3. 2 hours + road test means 2 hours is inclusive of road test. Learnt this while in the car for my 2 hr practice. I probably did 45 mins of practice at the best while paying for it. 4. The car is new but isn’t retrofitted to be a trainer car. Makeshift arrangements are made but its not comfortable to learn. Ultimately, they dropped me home, picked me back up for a repeat attempt on the same day, got a replacement car with valid documentation, but this was possibly the worst experience and threw me off game, ultimately flunking the roadtest.

Fantastic experience: I used this driving school twice. Once to get my license and again for a refresher after I got sick. They always tell you right away when you do something wrong and make sure you’re comfortable and ready before taking you driving in the street 10/10 recommend this school.

Negative experience: Horrible, la Señora Yessy Rojas se robo mi dinero, contrate su servicio a principios de Noviembre, me dio las "clases" cuando le dio la gana. Se fue de vacaciones un mesa su país sin terminar de enseñarme, eh estado tratando de comunicarme con ella, y ah rechazado mis llamadas y cuando las contesta se burla de uno. Pésimo servicio, no vayan la Señora Yessy Rojas los va a robar su dinero y se va a burlar de ustedes.

Negative experience: No estoy de acuerdo con lo que hacen te mienten que tienen horario para las clases luego mienten, eab clases cundo ellas quieren mal servicio la peor experiencia de mi vida. No les recomiendo

Negative experience: NO PIERDAN SU DINERO!! No pierdan su dinero ni su tiempo, en esta escuela si así se le puede llamar no respetan los horarios establecidos, el primer día que agende me marcan 15 minutos antes de la clase para cancelarme, dije bueno las cosas pasan, en la siguiente ocasión me dicen que tengo que ir a la escuela cuando yo pague para que me recogieran en mi casa, el instructor llego tarde y durante la clase estaba comiendo y revisando su celular, en la segunda clase el instructor llego temprano 1:15 cuando nuestra clase empezaba a las 1:30, terminó la clase temprano porque Yessenia (la dueña) se equivocó, durante esa clase me hizo entrar a un callejón para hacer del baño, cero profesionalismo, cuando íbamos a tener la tercera clase Yessenia me marca a las 9:30 para cambiar la clase a las 10:30am cuando nuestra clase estaba programada a la 1:30pm, su respuesta fue que si no se podía no se podía, una actitud prepotente y cero empatica, no sabe tratar con sus clientes, al final opte por cancelar y pedir mi rembolso, en serio no pierdan su tiempo ni dinero, ellos no merecen ni una estrella.

Negative experience: La verdad muy mal servicio pague 630 dólares por que enseñaran a mi hija a manejar y solo vinieron una pura vez por 2 horas y ya después nunca volvieron me robaron mi dinero y Yamo muchas veses y no hay respuesta que por qué les queda 1 hora de distancia porque cuando se cobraron el dinero de mi cuenta de banco np pusieron ese pretexto me u vieran dicho desde un principio y por Dios no agarro estos rateros si no les gusta los malos comentarios regresen lo que no cumplen mi esposo traba en una estación de radio y si no me regresan mi dinero los publicare al aire

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Amigo driving school! I took classes with Yessi back in September, she was honestly the best driving instructor. She directed me the right way and told me my mistakes and made me retry, until I I got it right. She will make you feel comfortable when driving with her. She makes you feel like you are family. Negative experience: The amount of times I’ve seen these driving instructors using their phone while they drive is insane. Decided to finally leave a review because one of their instructors almost caused an accident with me. Don’t use their services, definitely better driving schools in the area.

Fantastic experience: The instructor I had, Yesenia, was very kind and great at teaching what I needed to know in order to drive better. I was able to pass my road test on the first try after taking lessons from her. I HIGHLY recommend this driving school to anyone who is looking to not only get their drivers license but also get better at driving in general. Yessenia had great communication and was very respectful. Every time I made a mistake she always told me what I did wrong and what I needed to do. I was able to get my license after taking a few lessons with her and she is by far the best driving instructor I ever had. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10

Negative experience: I don’t even understand how this school has any good reviews. They are nowhere near professional. Yesi was my instructor and she was ALWAYS on her phone, taking calls with family members, sending messages, etc. Also, various times we would start our class late or finish early and we never made up for the time wasted. I also tried contacting her assistant a few times because Yesi had to reschedule a class and the assistant never answered the phone. Furthermore, whenever Yesi couldn’t attend the class, we would reschedule, but when I tried to reschedule it was always impossible. I had to work around their schedule but they couldn’t work around mine.

Fantastic experience: There were a few rocky moments but overall I’m glad I took lessons here. If it weren’t for this school then I wouldn’t be driving at all and also wouldn’t have my drivers’ license. When I first got inside of a car I would get severe driving anxiety and freeze up but because of this school it really helped me overcome that. Now I’m driving around as if it’s nothing. They also let me take the road test on a different day because I came a bit late which I appreciated. If you don’t know how to drive and want to learn then I definitely would recommend this school. It is very affordable and instructors are very informative and friendly.

Negative experience: I always told myself, no matter how good your business is, there will always be negative reviews. What I failed to realize is that it's the same reviews about the same BS. VERY unorganized. I booked with this school almost two months ago. I called and asked questions even before I paid. They constantly cancelled on me and scedualed me in the middle of my shift when I specifically told them not to. Finally after a month, I asked for my money back. Miraculously, they were able to get my classes back to back as promised to have a better chance of passing. The owner did explain they were having dificulties and I took the benefit of the doubt and decided to continue the service. I EXPECTED them the make it up to me as promised. Come the day of the road test i'm all ready at 6am, somehow they could not get in contact with me even though i've been in contact with the owner since day 1. Which means rescedualling again. I expressed my frustration & she told me tuesday. It is now tuesday and guess what?? They couldn't say they can't get in contact, it's just no one showed up! I literally went out of my way to stay in chicago and paid extra for a plane ticket just to tell me "whoops we lied again". Not to mention she's going to let me know we go around the route three times on the day of the road test and that counts as two hours. I hate that I had to explained my frustration the way I did, but DO NOT PLAY WITH MY MONEY OR TIME. But it's my fault. I should have ran after the third lie.

Fantastic experience: I have been driving since 2 years and Yessenia was my instructor. Quality of instructions was up to the mark that i feel confident in drviing anywhere and any axle vehicle. value to money and very friendly. She makes sure that you are diving properly until the last minute of your class.

Negative experience: Terrible school, I took only one lesson and for second class they took money but the second lesson was never completed. What they write about them is bad here, everything is true. Don't repeat my mistake, don't waste your time, they have cheaper prices and you will get a terrible service for that money. I still haven't gotten the second lesson and lost the whole day waiting for my lesson, they never did it. They didn't even call to say that there would be no lesson.

Positive experience: All of the driving instructors are nice and friendly. I had Julian as an instructor and he saw me struggling with my right and left turns and we spent almost an hour until I got it right. Thanks to him, I now know how to correctly make my turns. I really recommend him if you are struggling because he is really patient and will help you a lot. Yessi took me to the DMV to get my license and practices with you before taking your road test to make sure you're ready. I found that really helpful. Thanks to them, I passed my permit and road test on my first attempt !

Negative experience: I just called to figure out at what time do you guys open tomorrow since I kept calling today and no answer and finally someone picked up at 4:00pm just to have them hang up on me when I asked at what time do you guys open tomorrow. Was really considering this driving school but alas I don’t think it will happen unfortunately. It was just the lady handling the phone who didn’t seem professional.

Fantastic experience: I took the five day driving instruction with Yessenia and it was a great experience. She knows what she is talking about when it comes to driving and cares very much about the student not only passing the road test but learning safe driving techniques. If you are a beginner, you should take the five day or longer instruction because it will benefit you in the end to get as many days as possible with a professional instructor. I recently took the road test at the Elston facility and passed it thanks to what I learned during my time with Yessenia.

Fantastic experience: I've always tried getting my license over the years but every time id make it to the DMV id get a huge amount of anxiety and start to self-doubt but just this year I decided to try again with all the free time I had in my hands. I had purchased an 8-hour package and started my first day with Yessenia the owner, she's very friendly and full of energy and she pushed me and gave me some knowledge I didn't even have prior on what's the best way to position yourself when behind the wheel and she always checked to see what I learned from the instructor she partnered me with named Norman. Norman is a great instructor and motivator which was a huge plus when it came to me driving with him behind the wheel, Noman always gives you constructive criticism which I loved because it helped me understand how far I've grown learning with him. Norman is great with keeping up with scheduling you and he's always on time ready to help. As long as you speak up and tell him what you're having issues with he's more than willing to help you achieve the goal at hand. Thanks to this whole experience I was able to obtain my licenses in a quick manner and find a huge amount of confidence within myself and my own skills as a new driver on the road. If your looking for a driving school but unsure I highly recommend you choose this one you certainly won't be disappointed with Yessenia or Norman they're both great instructors.

Negative experience: Impresionada por la falta de profesionalismo y ética de Amigo Driving School, se supone que por sus “23 años de experiencia” deberían estar capacitados para ofrecer un servicio de alta calidad, sin embargo es lo que menos ofrecen. Instructores mediocres y sin moral. Tuve la desdicha de contratar su servicio el cual, la instructora YESSENIA si así se le puede llamar, llegó tres horas tarde de la hora acordada, no tenia ni la menor idea de a donde llevarme para empezar mi clase de conducir, su falta de paciencia y su vocabulario inapropiado, arrebato mi mano de una manera inadecuada del volante, prestando más atención a su teléfono y con su música con alto volumen, justificándose por haber trabajado hasta altas horas de la madrugada con una actitud prepotente como la del dueño VICTOR ALVIA, que no supo manejar esta situación, hasta el punto de decir que el no pierde nada al dejar que los clientes busquen otra institución, irónico y arrogante de su parte. Definitivamente si estás buscando una escuela de manejo está es la menos indicada.

I was completely nervous for the road exam but she was a great instructor that helped calm my nerves and taught me everything I needed to pass! Fantastic experience: I came into Amigo Driving School after failing the Driving test twice in Florida. My behind the wheel driving instructor was Kate. She is a patient and well informed driving instructor. I was able to pass the test after doing the intermediate adult package. She made sure that I was confident and we also had some fun conversations throughout the duration of my lessons. I highly recommend Amigo Driving School for any drivers beginner or intermediate. Victor was helpful over the phone, friendly and attentive. Thank you guys!

Fantastic experience: Passed my drivers test on the first try! Amazing teaching techniques. I had Kate as my instructor and I'd highly recommend her for any new drivers. Her teaching technique was amazing. She observes how you drive, then tells you what you need to work on as well as how to fix the errors you make while you are driving. I also had the chance to learn how to drive on the expressway which was great. Kate personality makes for a great ride where you can relax and learn at ease. She took me to my driver's test today, she helped me to the point that she was able to help me remain calm and stress-free while waiting to take the test. Fantastic experience: Hi, I am extremely thankful to Victor and Kate and highly recommend Amigo driving school to everyone who is looking for the services offered by them.They have good experience in this field and so very good chances of you being successful on what you are looking for could be to learn driving or get a license done. Just want to share my experience, I recently moved to Chicago and was looking to get comfortable driving in US with left steering ( I was only used with right steering wheel throughout my life) and wanted to get a license. On first day Kate helped me to get comfortable driving on the left and must say her training was really good by end of my training i was able to go around by myself. On the matter of getting my license Victor was really kind, I had paid my fees and scheduled training and Car but unfortunately the documents I had carried did not meet the criteria for a road test, the day was wasted. Thankfully Victor scheduled again without any further fees and let me take road test few days later.I successfully cleared the test, guys it’s worth the money if you are seriously looking out to get your license done!!! Thanks AMIGO DRIVING SCHOOL!!!

Fantastic experience: THE BEST DRIVING SCHOOL IN ILLINOIS! Kate is an amazing instructor, helped me fight all my fears, she treats her students with respect, she is very patient, calm and professional. Amigo has a lot of good deals. I came to the driving school instead of being picked up and saved a lot of money. The car was brand new Honda, (which is a nice surprise, considering most of the other driving schools using old ones). It was really easy to drive, it was nice and clean inside. I got my license in less than a week! Literally one of the best decisions in my life, YOU won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: This is an awesome driving school. My instructor was KATE and she is the nicest person. She gave me confidence in my driving ability and reassured me every step of the way. She was easy to talk to and she has great energy. She was always on time to pick me up and drop me off. Victor took me to my actual driving exam. He's a very chill person with great energy and upbeat personality. I felt 100% comfortable with him after just meeting. He took me along the entire route that the driving instructor is going to take you on. If your a nervous driver like me this school is the way to go. You will get your license in no time and pick up some easy hacks along the way.

Fantastic experience: This school is amazing. My instructor name was Victor I came there barely being able to drive and Victor was able to teach me all that I needed to know within 6 days. I honestly thought I never would drive but Victor was very confident in me and very encouraging he always had a metaphor or a story that would give me the confidence that I needed to believe I could do it. Though sometimes a little pushy but I knew it was because he knew I could do it he would say" I want you to get this license you can do this." Which I appreciate very much because I feel like when you pay your money for a service you should get the best service and Victor definitely gave me that. He was even willing to take me to the bank on the days I had to pay him so I didn't get charged an extra fee using my card and on the day of my driving test I brought the wrong papers he was willing to take me back home to get the papers, to the DMV to take the test, to the bank and drop me back at home after it was finished and I live all the way on the south side of Chicago. So not only is he encouraging he is accommodating which I really appreciate. I got more than what I paid for which I love and all for a reasonable price. So I highly recommend this driving school they won't fail you or waste your time and money and definitely highly recommend Victor he is an amazing teacher.

Fantastic experience: Best driving school in the city!!! I signed myself up for the 3 class session after reading being recommended! Yessi was my instructor and got my license on my first try!!! She is hands down the person to go to if you're looking to get your license and receive comprehensive driving knowledge from. She is very calm and informative when you're behind the wheel with her and most important of all, PATIENT. Please give them a call. Victor will set you up for success on the road if you're a nervous driver like I WAS (Amigo gave me the confidence and knowledge to destroy my nerves and drive like a boss) and finally get yourself driving. Fantastic experience: There's no such thing as a bad student, only a bad teacher. I was so lucky to find the right one and can't be more thankful to him. When Victor told me that he could teach me driving a car in one week, it seemed completely impossible. I must say that he was a man of his word. I got my driver's license on April 1st and I don't doubt anymore that everything is possible! :) It took me only 4 lessons to successfully pass my road test on my first try, which was totally beyond my expectations. I am especially happy because my permit expires in a couple of days. I nailed it! Thank you, Victor, for your patience, detailed explanations, and precious guidance! You are awesome! Now driving a car seems way easier than before :D Trust me, guys, if I could make it, you can make it too! All you need is a good teacher and a belief in yourself.

Fantastic experience: I've been driving both automatic and stick shift for about 20 years overseas but since I am a permanent resident in Chicago for 6 years, I decided that it was time to get my US driver license. Recommended by a colleague, I chose Amigo and decided to take the Driving Class plus Road Test combo! Victor set me up with my instructor Oscar, who called me the night before our appointment (very professional!) When we met up the next day, he immediately put me at ease and talked me through what to be expect during the driving test. We drove around for 2 hours and practiced the route that I was going to drive during the test multiple times. Just before the test, he kept reassuring me that I was ready. Fantastic experience: Based on my experience, I would say that Amigo is one of the best driving school in Chicago. Although I literally had no experience in driving, Oscar helped me in getting the license within 1 week. After analyzing your driving, He will always make sure that you end up correcting the mistakes which you make in the process. He really understands where you stand and will patiently teach you on mastering the skills with his easy techniques. If someone really follows on his advice, then I am sure that they will end up with a license in their hands within 7 days even if you have not touched the steering wheel before. If you are now deciding on your driving school, Don't hesitate and go for AMIGO!!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. My instructor was Victor. Extremely professional and patient. Day 1- He let me drive first for a while, observed and then pointed out where I went wrong exactly and helped me work on it in the driving class, also covering the basic need to knows. I was far less nervous and more confident after the first class. Day 2- On the day of the road test, I drove in the actual road test route at least 4 or 5 times and Victor made sure I had enough practice rounds before the test. He prepares you well for both the road test and driving after that. Amigo driving school costs less compared to others and u r not being compromised in any way. Value for money.

Fantastic experience: I learned how to drive from Kate. She has all the qualities for being the best instructor in town. She was extremely patient with me and helped me with all the areas I needed a lot of help on without getting frustrated. It was very clear to me on day 2 that money is the least important thing to Amigo, and that the only thing that mattered to them was to help me get my driver's license the right way. Their classes are affordable and Kate was very flexible with her timings. On the phone, Victor sounded very relatable and I could tell that he does not run Amigo as a commercialized driving school, but as one that cares about his students. I would totally recommend Amigo to anyone, young or old.

He was extremely helpful, a week later we booked classes and my sister will be taking her road test with the confidence that she will receive her license. Fantastic experience: After putting almost 9 months out without any rush to get my license, I felt like I had to before my permit would expire. I searched a few driving schools and this driving school caught my eye first because of the great reviews about Victor! I would like to thank Victor for helping me so much, I wouldn't have passed my road test without your skills and knowledge about driving. Victor creates a relaxed stress free environment where he will go thru the basics of driving and will question/remind you so that those info wont be forgotten. And if that didn't help, he breaks driving situations/scenarios even more simpler w/ use of metaphors so that it just click more. Its really common sense and tho at times we may forget and freeze up, hes always there to guide you and teach you the right way w/ tips! Repetition is key! He is very individualized in his teaching, wherein after teaching the basics, he will ask what you think you want to brush up on. And no one wants a serious driving instructor and Victor is the opposite, he makes it fun and gets to know you making driving less tense! He is flexible if time allows if he doesn't have a class before or after. Also, if he knows you're ready, he will let you know so that you don't take any more additional classes which happened with me as I passed my road test w/ 3 driving sessions! Today as I passed my road test! Before we took it, we practiced a few times around the SoS and he continued to coach me til I felt relaxed and ready. Thank you Victor for everything! Fantastic experience: I was looking for a driving school that was affordable. And I found Amigo Driving School. It was fast and easy process after 2classes Victor the instructor took me to take my driver's test. He even showed me the way the test was going to be and where. We practice it Twice and then went for the test. Thanks to Amigo Driving School and Victor himself I came home with my license. I will recommend this driving school to anyone that need to take out their license and or need to learn how to drive. Victor is a paitent instructor.
