Fantastic experience: Great school. Awesome instructors who are willing to help you out with getting your commercial license. Instructor Johnny knows how to teach and will guide you if you’re willing to put in the work. I would recommend this school to anybody who wants to get their CDL. I showed up to the classes consistently and was able to get my license in three months. Thanks to all the instructors who helped out; Johnny, Fernando and Norberto. Oh and Vanessa and Alicia from the office were also helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: I 1000% recommend this school is you are planning on getting your Class A or B. This school has great instructors and great people working inside the office . First off, Johny is the field skills instructor and he is firm and very knowledgeable and he will make sure that you get your offset and straight back down. He is any amazing instructor and he will make sure you get things done right . Fernando is the on the road instructor and he is another amazing person to learn from. He has a lot of years of trucking experience and he will give you a lot of tips and tricks when driving a truck. He will show you how to double clutch and how to downshift like a champ. Overall this school was great for me and it took me two and a half months to complete the program before I felt ready to hit the DMV but with everything I learned at this school I left extremely confident and I passed thanks to Camino Real trucking school . So if you anyone is interested in trucking school, give them a call and either Alicia or Vanessa will answer any questions you have. You'll be happy that you did .

Negative experience: I don't recommend this school. I went there like 6 years ago. They promised they would have an instructor helping you for classes, and that was not true. You needed to figure things out with YouTube,you would take longer to get your license, and I couldn't finish because I got health issues and I didn't get my money back.

Fantastic experience: When I say if you want to pass the CDL exam then you must attend Camino Real Trucking. My experience was totally amazing from the ladies in the office to the gentleman on the yard. I started January 8th and I finished today March 27th with my CDL license and I obtained all of my endorsements. So, if you are serious about your business and education then I recommend this school. I had the best experience and training from camino real and I am so forever grateful for the training I received there, as I am currently OTR driver & making a salary that has been life changing. The staff from my girl Alicia in the office to Johnny on the yard Fernando who I had my BTW training with to Vanessa and never forgetting my girl Veronica who is no longer there but dearly missed. Thanks to your dedication to students who truly want to complete the program, I like many others was able to succeed in this endeavor and successfully complete the training with the proper skillsets required to obtain employment as a commercial A driver & in less than a year become an OTR driver where I now have a 6 figure salary. Negative experience: The one in LA PUENTA is not one i'll recommend for trucking training. Training facility and yard awful my advice if you don't believe me go look for yourself in judge.

Fantastic experience: First of all I would like to say thank you to all the staff in the office Vanessa and Alicia were very helpful throughout my whole program. All of the instructors are there to help you when you have questions and just want to help you succeed and pass and have you ready for the DMV. Over all the past 3 months have been a challenge but if you want it bad and are committed to furthering your career I suggest attending Camino Real thank you all again!

Fantastic experience: I've obtained my class A CDL through this school on 08/07/23 I got to say Camino Real has a pretty good thing going on. It covers pretty much all the things you'll have to do at the DMV. The "entry fee" you can call it is a bit pricey but is I'd say average for a CDL school in LA county. The way the whole course works is starting by choosing whether you want to do automatic or stick shift. I chose stick shift despite never having driven a manual and it worked out. Though I do believe you can change it later. They then give you study materials to obtain your CDL permit which was mostly just memorizing DMV questions. They teach the pre trip inspection through videos that you watch on your own. Quality of said videos can be poor but they do work. Dividing it into sections so you can focus on one at a time. There are 4 trucks you practice the inspection on, 3 manuals, one automatic. One of the manuals doesn't even go to the DMV as it looked as if it hasn't had repairs in 3 decades, so you're in a way reduced to 2 manuals, 1 automatic. Depending on how many students there are you may need to take turns when at least practicing the in cab part of the pre trip, never was really a problem for me. After they pass you for the pre trip your next step will be the "yard skills", which is teaching you the basic controls skills test to the DMV's standards. What exactly do you do depends on what the DMV feels like testing on. Such as when I first started the DMV would test the "Ally Dock" maneuver. But when It came time for my test that was not being tested. The school does a pretty good job on keeping updated on what the DMV wants and doesn't want. There are 2 trucks for the yard skills, one auto, one manual (these are separate from the trucks used to practice the pretrip) . Both are very beat up, couple holes in the floor, ripped up seats, etc. But they do what you need them to do. After completing yard skills, you do road training. Its what you think it is. Go out on the road with an instructor and learn to drive them rigs. With empty trailers that are about 27 feet if that matters. After that you take your DMV test. In either Gardena or Fontana. My first attempt was Gardena, passing attempt was Fontana. When you pass, congrats, you're finished with the school. Now as for the staff, I'd say they're fine people. You have the office folks who are friendly and helpful. For instructors you have: 1. Johnny Johnny is the main guy in the yard, he's a bit intense, but don't take it to heart, he is there to help you. Respect him and you'll find he can be a cool fella. In my opinion, he is the most effective instructor, his intense and brash nature can translate into motivation if you take it correctly. 2. Roger Roger is a lot more "friendlier" who tries his best to understand you as he teaches. He's very patient and made me feel more at ease, he always tries to lighten your mood. Great fella, especially for the new comers 3. Gene Gene is the "by the books" instructor. He's somewhat utilitarian when it comes to teaching, which is great as it makes him effective at giving you an idea as to what you can expect from the DMV. Good guy in general. 4. Fernando One of the road trainers, Fernando is a very cool and effective teacher. Points out your mistakes and how to fix them, he talks good talk and is enjoyable to be around. 5. Nacho Also one of the road trainers, this guy is real chill, really gives off the "wise elder" vibe if you know what I mean, his English however isn't all that good, so if you have no command over Spanish like me, he isn't much talk like Fernando. Still a good fella Only complaints I have are the lack of shade in the yard, the lack of classroom instruction, and some of the trucks are literally knocking on death's door and at least should have some repairs or at most be replaced with new trucks.

Fantastic experience: School has one of the best instructors there in Johnny. He is straight up and real but will have you confident and ready for the dmv test. Just a solid human being. The other instructors are very nice and helpful. The trucks arent the best to practice in but makes it all the easier when you hop in the good truck for you're dmv test. They work with you at the school as far as schedule and time wise which is a plus!! Special shout out too Ms. Vanessa in the front office whom I was in there always bothering about something...sorry!!! She always accommodated me and helped me with my issue. 5 star just for that alone THANKYOU TO ALL THE STAFF IN GENERAL. This school is like anything else in life. You get out what you put in. If you there not listening or doing what you want and socializing allday how do you expect too get a license. So when you out school shopping keep this hidden gem in mind. The skills you will aquire in a short time is next to none.

Fantastic experience: Awesome school for learning how to drive a class A, B, Bus Passenger endorsement and forklift. . They have been in this industry since 1988. Government assigned driving school for EDD job placement, which means free training for approved students!!

Fantastic experience: Great school, it's what it should be and more. Went to this school after being released from CDCR, got my class a, endorsements I wanted, and made 80k in 10 months of local work! They really help you; you also have to help yourself, do your part, speak up respectfully, and ask questions. This is the initial learning stage of your trucking career. You'll learn to inspect your truck thoroughly before all the parking techniques and road driving with knowledgeable experienced class a instructors who've been there. This school gives you all the tools and the necessary needed equipment to practice and learn them in. Get with other students and help each other win. As a truck driver, it's all about networking, so start talking, asking, and learning to ask for help here. Closed mouths don't get fed. I failed my first DMV test because of my own nerves, but I went back two days later as an early morning standby without an appointment, luckily got called early, and passed! Camiones que son pedazos de junks Te subes a practicar de 2 veces en 5 horas. Entrenador agresivo y ofensivo si te salen mal las maniobras te bajan del junk te gritan y te humillan delante de los demás . La gerencia te promete y no cumple sólo quiere tu dinero . Te mandan al dmv a perder tus oportunidades sin estar preparado. Para después cobrarte ya sea que pagasteis con tu dinero o te lo pago algún programa, no vengas a perder r tu money aquí. Busca una escuela verdadera.

Fantastic experience: I have to say from the beginning to the end and even after that the school is great the entire staff in office on the even on the road and at test day everyone was so helpful end encouraging I like when I ask for a push that's what I got but I had to do my part and show them I willing to learn. The way they show how to do everything is the same way you need to know it and remember it. If you need more help don't be afraid to ask they will do what ever they can to help you and they will take their time with you to make sure you get it just show up learn pass and get out the quicker you learn it the better it would be and faster for you to get out it is self pace so don't rush yourself but pay attention to what they telling you this school is a great blessing with the entire staff they have they work together very well please give them a try because all other schools try to teach the same way but they can't here is where other people came from other schools to learn and pass and got their cdl this is the place to get it done if you are serious so stop wasting time and call them today

Negative experience: This review is long overdue and I'll explain why: I applied to this school during the height of the pandemic, and I should've done more research. That being said, it's my fault for choosing this school. The trucks were rusty and beat up. They have no shaded area to sit down while waiting for your turn. And one instructor looked miserable because who knows what else he had planned before choosing this career to become an instructor but wants to act hard like a throwback gangster from the 90s. The women at the front of the office were nice and hospitable, but overall the school could've improved their condition(s) because the city had come down on them for not keeping their "training" area clean and free from debris. I know they tried their best to appease everyone but the city kept threatening them to follow pandemic protocol. It was very disappointing and I know it was not entirely their fault but if I had to go back I would want them to update their trucks and hire a better instructor than the one who looks like speedy Gonzales on a come down. Best advice: keep looking for a better school.

Fantastic experience: Hands down, this is a really great school. Pay no mind to any negative reviews. The staff, Vanessa, Judith and Alicia are tremendous. Fernando is the manual truck driving instructor. He’s amazing. Very patient and really teaches you about upshifting/downshifting They want to see you win. The yard trucks might not be the newest, but they get the job done. The yard Instructors are great also. I highly recommend this school if you’re looking to get your CDLs

Positive experience: In this school 3 months to get my CDL license Price 5/5 best in the area Tractor 3/5 older model with small problems this and that Coach 5/5 Specially Johnny , he get straights to the point improve you office 3/5 Need better organize system or more worker Time 3/5 Not much time on the road Conclusion: Not in hurry for the license , this school is the best choose . They actually want you to graduate and do all they can to help u accomplish it. The driving instructors are amazing and will teach u step by step. They teach u everything u need to know but Fernando has his unique way to read people and teaches you accordingly..he will push you(in a good way) and 100 percent get you ready for the driving exam. Believe me he knows everything abt trucking, Not only the yard skills and driving but he know how the engine and transmission works. I highly recommend you to sign up with Fernando.. Now at the yard there is Jonhy the instructor. He can b tough but youll never forget his teaching..he knows how to maneuver trucks like if they wheres small hatchbacks. He will definitely help u out and get u ready for the DMV, just sometimes u gotta b a lil patient. Overall great school and recommend it to all of you, i graduate on my first try thnx to this school..

Negative experience: Truck review October 2022: The trucks are always down or breaking down There is more students than instructors Alicia in the office is rude , the driving trainers are helpful , the yard instructors are a hit or miss Some students stay in the trucks longer than there turn (30 minutes even tho they’re turn is only 5 minutes) instructors say they’re paying attention but they’re not Sometimes the dmv appointments they give you are months away April 2022: trucks are working a little better months later because they finally got new ones The yard instructors put you down more than they give you constructive criticism/helpful advice They’ll make degrading remarks like: “the truck goes right there what are you doing Who taught you how to drive etc” Before making any effective and progressive comments to help you get better I’m not asking for a lot Just basic respect. A lot of the yard instructors aren’t on the same page and they’re all teaching you different things. Then the other yard instructors just watch you fail and fail and give you half fast instructions that aren’t clear and don’t help you so you’re forced to figure out how to do it on your own The yard instructors are not teachers they’re just dudes who know how to drive the trucks and get paid to watch you learn how to drive the truck What you pay the school for? A headache, and the truck to take the test. YouTube was my best friend! Good luck! Don’t be afraid to voice your concerns to the office They may be rude at times(mainly Alicia) but they always tried to help me out Fernando/nacho are the only good instructors here Respect them and they will respect you Johnny is disrespectful and makes you feel dumb and THEN will help you afterwards. Ariel is a good person , however teaching wise he isn’t very good at it. Veronica is a new student they just hired and she is already more helpful that Johnny and Ariel. Easy to communicate with and doesn’t make you feel dumb when asking questions. Overall the school could be much better. With better people at the school helping you like they’re suppose to.

In Office, Lisa, Venessa, Judith, those ladies are the best. Quick response, helpful on DMV stuffs, and very friendly. 10 out of 10. Yard Instructors: Johny, Areo, those guys guided me from knowing nothing to everything about the pre-trip inspection, and yard skills. 10 out of 10. On The Road Instructors: Nacho, Fernando, they did not only taught me how to drive on the road, but they also shared and trained me special skills and experiences on controlling the truck as well. 10 out of 10. Sum it up: Stop Searching and Come Here.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Camino Real I am now a proud owner of a Commercial Drivers License! Shout out to the instructors Ariel, Abraham, Patrick, Fernando, Nacho and the lovely girls in the office Vanessa, Judy, and Alicia. Nothing in life is perfect and the school is far from it as well, but due to my own determination and the dedication of the people that work here, I can say I am confident enough in my abilities to become successful in my career. Fantastic experience: Great school, staff and trainer's are very knowledgeable and very patient. They teach you exactly what you need to know, so you can pass all required tests to obtain your class A, B, and any endorsements you may need. Then help you find a job afterwards. I'm now a owner operator, thanks to them.

Fantastic experience: Great school!! The more you apply yourself to studying/training the more the staff steps up to help you. If you fail it's basically a you problem that can't be blamed on the school. I was helped through the whole process by all. A big thank you to Frankie, John, Frank, Alicia, Nicky, Rudy, Ariel, Anne, and Nacho. Y'all are the best! Students are also great at motivating each other.

Fantastic experience: At first coming here was kinda crazy , somtimes the trucks break down but they would fix right away & it all depends on you , take advantage of the time you have , as you wait for your turn study your pre trip and colas . Don’t waste your time , the teachers are really helpful and patient. Especially frank he’s the best teacher there . He teaches you well and helps you understand why . Don’t be afraid to ask questions . The more you ask the more you learn !!! I got my license within 8 weeks & Honestly I can say ima miss coming to the school it was a good environment always smiling and so helpful . Thank you guys now my career begins ❤️
