Fantastic experience: I took 10hrs of driving lessons and the Drive Test Package with A-Z Driving School. I had several instructors who were all good but special shout out to Alan and Sydney for being super patient and easy going. Alan was with me on my behind the wheel test and his calm and encouraging words really helped steady my nerves before the test. I passed and I am so thankful to you all!

Fantastic experience: Passed my driving test today! And this driving school was the best! All my instructors for my 6 hour lessons - Edward and Steve were very helpful and patient during my lessons. They all pointed and helped me correct my mistakes but at the same time being calm and patient in providing instructions. And to Sidney who went with me to my actual day of driving test! She was very helpful and good with calming my nerves and giving tips to make sure I pass. Also easy to schedule and definitely worth the price! Fantastic experience: This driving school was incredible! I had been incredibly nervous about learning how to drive for years, but the lessons I had with Sidney were perfect for calming my nerves. Sidney was wonderful, calm and patient. She gently reinforced essential driving skills, and made learning new skills, such as lane changes and making turns a relaxed and easy process. I felt very comfortable in the car at all times knowing I had her there to help me navigate new encounters on the road. I always felt welcome to ask for advice or extra practice on skills I needed help with. Cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: I recommend this driving school. I am an adult and a new driver. I initially took the 8-hour package in which Yolanda was my instructor and it has been a rewarding experience. She is respectful, kind, with extensive knowledge, good teaching method, patient and an excellent person. I definitely learned a lot from her. On the other hand, I also took the Driving Test Package for the day of my driving test at the DMV and the instructor Katie Hernandez was the one who accompanied me in that process. She is very kind, understanding, sweet, has a good teaching method, explains well, and is patient. In addition, she was with me guiding me at the DMV during the process with the paperwork. I recommend this School 100%, the service is excellent, even the customer service via email is efficient, diligent and helpful. On my first attempt at the driving test, I passed!

Fantastic experience: My instructors were Katie and Sydney. I had great experiences with both instructors. They were extremely patient, precise, and very nice. I was taught to be a very safe and cautious driver. I was able to pass on my first try because of the very informative mock tests I got from them, which left no surprises on the exam. I would highly recommend both instructors to all new drivers to have a superb learning experience.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend A-Z Driving School! My instructor was Sidney Love and she was the most patient, helpful, kind, and funniest person I've ever met. She gave me really helpful tips, great feedback, great suggestions on how to improve, and she really helped me understand my mistakes. I was really nervous to start driving again (I haven't been driving for almost a year before my lesson) and I wasn't confident in my driving at all. But, she made me feel super comfortable and she gave me so much confidence. She made me feel less scared to drive and made me feel ready to pass my drivers test! Fantastic experience: I am writing this review in extreme gratitude to my amazing instructor Katie H! I seriously cannot thank her enough for helping me to finally overcome my fear of driving and get my license as an adult. I suffered from severe driving phobia and decided this was the year to overcome it. I purchased the 10 hour driving package, all of my lessons being with Katie. During my first lesson, I was so nervous I was shaking, yet Katie remained calm and reassuring which in turn calmed me down and made me feel comfortable. With each lesson, my confidence grew, and she knew exactly the right time to introduce new things into our lessons when I was ready for them. Also, at the end of each lesson she wrote down a list of things for me to work on and practice before our next lesson. She even was so kind to tell me I could reach out to her with any questions the day of my DMV test even though my lessons were finished at that point. I really felt like she cared about me and did all she could to help me pass the test. Thanks to her calm, kind, reassuring nature and genuine care for me I am proud to say I passed my behind the wheel test on the first try! Thank you Katie I’ll never forget you

Fantastic experience: I started taking lessons with A-Z because I didn't have enough experience with driving, even though I already had my license (got it before college, never needed to drive until almost 10 years later). Since I haven't driven at all for years, I was incredibly nervous with driving and wanted a safe environment to learn. Katie was very experienced. She knew when to hit the breaks on her end, knew when to advise me on what to do, and knew when to even adjust my wheel while I was driving. She did it all in such a calm manner and never made me feel bad for my driving skills. She encouraged me and gave me confidence in myself even though I felt like a very bad driver. After 5 lessons with Katie, I had the confidence to take the wheel, practice on my own, and even chitchat while driving! Not only that, Katie made the lessons very enjoyable! I looked forward to our lessons just so that I could catch up with her :). After my 5 lessons and practice commuting to work, I did my first big drive to Santa Barbara (4+ hours of highway driving)! Katie, if you're reading this, thank you so much!! You rock!

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive is a huge milestone in every person's life. AZ Driving School is an amazing driving school for people who need the practice before test day. From booking the lessons, to the actual lessons, I learned so much. I highly recommend Nicole! She is a wonderful instructor who truly has a wonderful way of teaching the new and nervous student driver to become a confident and practiced driver. She cares about her students and wants them to become safe and defensive drivers. I learned alot from her and gained so much confidence in myself from taking these lessons. Fantastic experience: Our daughter had a great experience with A-Z. She especially got along well with Natalee. She was professional and would come to the door at the end of the lesson and share areas to continue to work on as well as areas she’s doing well in. Thank you A-Z for a good intro to driving.

Negative experience: Super bad, wanted to make me pay $100 for cancelling a lesson on top of $200. They are nuts! If I’m cancelling it it shouldn’t be more expensive than the $200 Im paying for the 2 hours! They are crazy

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with this driving schools. The registrations and scheduling for the classes is easy. I had some classes with Wassim, Tim and Yolanda. The instructors were patient and and gave me suggestions on how to improve. Yolanda was very understanding and was able to pinpoint my errors gave me great tips and helped me to pass my test.

Fantastic experience: Happy to review this school with a 5 star score for the service they provide. Instructors pick you up on time. Throughout the class duration you get to drive. You get dropped off as well. I took two classes prior to my driving test with Chance and Joshua. They both taught me thoroughly, and boosted my confidence in passing the test. I learnt parallel parking, reversing, and express way driving with Joshua. Joshua was confident that I would pass my reserving if I do the same in the test. I did and had a full score for that in the test. Although parallel parking doesn’t get tested I really like the way Joshua taught me that. I learnt it fast and very good at it now. Chance was my first instructor. He said my lane changes were pretty good after the class. Again I had full scores on those during the test. I passed the test from the first attempt in Fremont DMV. I booked the car from the school with an instructor. Natalee was with me during the test day. I drove to DMV on the Freeway and Natalee helped me improve on my speeding during that time and signaling. She was very glad that I passed and told me what it really means to pass from the first attempt at a tough DMV location. The DMV official who attended us was absolutely nice and asked how I did it while congratulating. Hence, I would like to thank my instructors (Chance, Joshua, Natalee) for being there with me through this journey. All the very best A-Z driving school! Way to go!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend A-Z Driving school for anybody looking to improve their driving and pass their driving test. My instructor (Yolanda) was extremely patient and gave me very constructive feedback in each of my sessions. The mock driving tests I gave around the DMV also gave me a lot of confidence before the actual test. I felt I was very well prepared for my driving test, thanks to the meticulous and well planned sessions. Definitely a five star experience and highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I just received my licence today at Los gatos Dmv I highly recommend a-z. Waasim was great teacher and critically tells the improvement along with theory and practicals of driving, would recommend lessons from him if someone is complete beginner like me. Yolanda is great trainer helped me in correcting my mistakes and her feedback was great in my improvement. Fantastic experience: Had an amazing five driving lessons and test-day lesson with A-Z driving school. (I went from never ever having driven before to going on the highway in a span of 3 classes.) I had different instructors throughout, and all of them were attentive, knowledgeable, and very patient. I took my driving test with Connie today, and passed the first time with flying colors while having a lot of fun (or at least as much fun as you can have for a DMV driving test) :) Highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn not ONLY how to drive, but how to develop good driving habits that keep everyone on the road safe.

Ella es muy amable, tranquila, te enseña cada técnica de manejo con detalle específico tal como aparce en la descripción de la escuela A-Z Driving school y corrige tus errores. Ahora me siento más seguro detrás del volante y confiado a la hora de conducir. Solo una advertencia para esos estudiantes que no les gusta seguir instrucciones y creen que lo saben todo, sigan las instrucciones de lo que Yolanda o cualquier instructor de A-Z Driving School pida que hagan, no se dejen engañar por lo que les dice su oido interno ya que pueden causar un accidente. Porque me pasó que yo pensaba que hacía algo bueno cuando realmente no lo era. Agradezco mucho los servicios de esta escuela y recomiendo a la comunidad latina de San José, CA que si necesitan aprender a conducir o practicar antes de hacer el examen del DMV contrátelos a ellos.

Fantastic experience: I can’t believe I am saying this, but I passed the driving test on my first attempt all because of A-Z driving school!!!! I took the behind the wheel exam today in Santa Teresa. My instructors were Teacher Katie and Teacher Natalee… and they’re phenomenal! I had 0 knowledge on driving and I still remember how scared and nervous I was on my first class. Teacher Katie was absolutely an incredible instructor (if you’re like me, you need her in your life to pass the exam). She is very patient, calm, and kind in correcting my mistakes. She is extremely knowledgeable yet very approachable. I always enjoy our conversations and I learned so much from her!!! She was very supportive on our classes and gave me confidence so “I can do it”. Teacher Natalee is equally amazing. I took several classes with her, and she taught me on how to be efficient in my driving, be mindful of the basics, and gave me so much tips on how to pass the exam. She helped me speed up my learning curve, and I am so grateful. My first experience in the freeway was with her, and I will always remember that experience! 1M/10. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Fantastic experience: I started with zero knowledge of driving. I took 5 classes, 2 hours each, I drove in daylight, nighttime, even during rain. I practiced highway and small roads as well as parking too, and I passed the driving test in my first attempt! I appreciate the way instructor Wassim explained the rational behind driving rules and draw diagrams for me to understand driving techniques. I would happily recommend this school to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had the privilege of working with Erin, Yasmin, and Hasan. They’ve been knowledgeable, responsive, helpful and kind. On multiple occasions they have accommodated all request I’ve made with grace. I was impressed with their willingness to answer questions and help. Helping your teenage child through this process is a headache, but they have made this experience simple.

Fantastic experience: I just wrapped up a solid 2-hour driving lesson with Madison and Wassim. Madison is relatively new, and Wassim was there to supervise her, but honestly, you wouldn't guess it. Both instructors demonstrated exceptional professionalism and proved to be highly skilled in their teaching methods. Unlike a previous experience with a different company, where I felt scammed with only 15 minutes of actual behind-the-wheel practice and the suggestion to practice with my husband, Madison and Wassim provided me with comprehensive education on almost every aspect of driving. They allowed me to practice throughout the entire 2-hour session, patiently guiding me through the learning process. Initially, I was nervous, having never driven on a main street with traffic before. However, by the end of the lesson, I felt a significant boost in confidence. Madison and Wassim's support and effective teaching methods made a substantial difference in my learning experience. Following this outstanding experience, I am eager to book my driving test with A-Z Driving School. If you're serious about learning to drive, I highly recommend choosing A-Z Driving School over other companies with similar pricing. Fantastic experience: Yolanda was my instructor for my 3 lessons that I had. I could not have asked for a better instructor! From being patient with me, teaching me all the necessary skills to be able to pass my driving test, and such a friendly person to begin with. I’ve struggled with driving anxiety but having her there guiding me and reassuring me the whole time it’s almost as if my anxiety wasn’t even there. I highly recommend her as your instructor and highly recommend this driving school as well for everything was well worth it since I did end up passing my driving test!

Fantastic experience: Mohammad was my instructor. He was really chill and respectful. He made sure to go over everything with me to make sure i’d be confident when driving and drive the best way I could during the lesson. After my lesson with him i’m feeling confident for my drivers test.

Negative experience: Very bad experience. I took two classes and even the basic rules aren't taught and I failed the test. When I bring this up with A-Z, they are questioning back, what are you doing without practicing basic stuff so far? I wasted my 600 bucks. I do not recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I was blessed to have Natalie as my driving instructor; she taught me so much and prepared me really well for my driving test! She gave lots of great advice and outlined exactly how the test is formatted and how to deal with pre test anxiety. Highly recommend!

In first lesson itself, I got to know about several basic mistakes that I was doing along with subtle mistakes which would have been impossible to know by myself. When I first started my 1st lesson, I was scared to drive. Katie immediately made me feel safe and is super patient. I felt like I was driving with a friend having nice conversations. After my 1st lesson, I chose to stay with her as my instructor! Katie provides great advice and is honest! She is super sweet and a kind soul! I highly recommend A-Z driving school, the customer service is very easy to deal with and their rates are quite good for the Bay Area.

Fantastic experience: First of all, after 10 hours of practice and a DMV package, I passed the behind the wheel test at the Santa Clara DMV on the first try with one mistake. I had learned driving in Korea almost a decade ago and only drove once on the road back there. I was very nervous about the test, so I thought I’d get some professional help. Chose this school based on their good reviews but also their availability. (Another school I had contacted didn’t have opening for another month or so, and I didn’t want to wait.) Communication: Booking, communication, etc all pretty smooth and quick over emails and phone calls. I had two different pickup locations at different lesson times, and at the first lesson, the instructor went to the wrong one, but it was quickly fixed after a call. (Luckily the two locations are very close to each other.) Instructors and lessons: - I booked 6 hours of practice with Katie at first, and upgraded to 10 hours at the end of the first 6 hours, and I’m glad I did. She was very patient, upbeat, encouraging and just in general very pleasant. Did a great job boosting my confidence and comfort level on the road. - My DMV package was with Wassim, who gave me the final (but crucial) tips on how to drive defensively based on his observation on how I drive, and some heads up on the road around the Santa Clara DMV during the hour of practice before the test, accompanied me to DMV and helped with all the processes, waited through my test and dropped me off at my office afterwards. I appreciate how systematically and succinctly he explains the order of actions in different scenarios like lane changing, turning, etc. That one hour practice had a great impact on my driving because now I have a few rules very easy to remember and follow that I keep in mind when I drive. It did help that my DMV tester happened to be a very patient kind nice older gentleman who made me less nervous. During the test, he asked about my driving experience, the driving school I chose, etc and at the end he said, “I think you chose the right school.” And commented “Good job!” on my test scoring sheet. All in all, very glad I chose this school and very grateful for both instructors!

Fantastic experience: Ajani Jiminez has been incredibly helpful in getting me on the road from 0 experience to full confidence. He's attentive, kind, and teaches incredibly well, utilizing positive feedback and pointers. He catches mistakes quickly and is always there to help correct anything. He answered all of my questions in an easy to understand way and helped me look forward to being on the road rather than being nervous about it. Highly recommend both this school and especially this instructor for new drivers and even anyone wanting to brush up on basics.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to the A to Z team I was able to finish this in my very first attempt. Katie, Erin and Wassim made it very easy and helped with last minute changes. Katie is very patient and Wassim really puts a lot of effort to help you understand and gives all the last minute tips you need to ace the test.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to A-Z driving school, I passed my driving test on my first attempt with just 3 mistakes! I started from scratch with Instructor Wassim who was extremely patient with me. We started off with driving in residential areas and parking lots and eventually branched to driving in all sorts of environments to prepare for the test. I was also taken to the highway a couple of times. As we approached the drive test date, Wassim carried our mock tests with me with an evaluation sheet that resembles the official DMV sheet. The mock tests really helped me prepare for the test, since we were able to simulate the same environment as the actual test’s. By the day of my test, I was very confident in my driving abilities. The school is very professional and organized when it comes to managing scheduling and rescheduling of lessons. I really appreciate that they reserve 4 hours in their drive test package since appointments at the DMV often end up taking longer than expected. Overall, would definitely recommend A-Z to beginner drivers!

I have been driving for 18 years but on the other side of the road so I did a mock test lesson with Wassim and also the driving school took me for my test (Erin). Wassim is the most patient and kind instructor who made me feel right at ease. Erin was super bubbly and knowing how nervous I was, kept my pleasantly distracted so I passed. This driving school really cares about your experience, making sure you become a competent driver and that you feel well prepared for the test. The driving instructors are complete experts and will guide you through everything from the buttons on the car to the questions asked on dmv test! Fantastic experience: I got my drivers license on the first try! The team at A-Z driving school (Wasim, Erin, and Yasmin) make learning driving a pleasant experience. I took a total of 20 hours of driving lessons with both Wasim and Erin. Both Wasim and Erin complement each other. Wasim focusses on the little things which you overlook and take it for granted, while Erin focusses on getting you comfortable on busy roads. They use the website schedule2drive for booking online driving lessons. Erin was kind enough to give me more slots which were not available in the website. They are almost always on time and text you if they are running late by a couple of minutes. Erin also encouraged me to practice driving around Santa Clara DMV which proved to be very helpful. Fantastic experience: My 16yr old son went through A-Z Driving lessons from Erin and Wassim. Both were fantastic instructors. My son enjoyed all the sessions and got valuable feedback. The communication was prompt, the schedules were good. Both Wassim and Erin extended feedback to parents as well, so we could practice those with our teenager. We highly recommend A-Z Driving School for all teenagers in bay area.
