Many students have noted the laid-back atmosphere of classes, which fosters a comfortable learning experience.

- Great for beginners or those looking to brush up on their riding skills.

Rider's Choice Training: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Seeing all these bad reviews after graduating the class. I honestly had a pretty good experience. Maybe more of a laid back kind of environment than I expected but I think I learned better that way to be honest. Rick was cool with me and was pretty patient all around. I got pretty lucky since I was the only one in the class this weekend so I got a lot of practice in. Rick didn’t seem to have any issues with answering a bunch of questions, even the dumb ones. Feeling pretty confident in getting out on the road now. I’d recommend to friends and family for sure.
Negative experience: Just never go here it’s the most expensive in the area and the most useless. Please just never go here.
Fantastic experience: Muy satisfecho con las clases y el gran servicio que ofrecen los instructores en inglés y español, resaltar el trabajo la paciencia y la experiencia de zorari y el instructuctor que la acompaña Rick
Fantastic experience: I'm very happy with Rick services he had the patient went the extra mile never had a problem with him at all he got me the right way with no hesitation he gets 10 plus 10
Negative experience: Disrespectful, cares for no one and is absolutely rude for no reason. Never ever go there. You will not be happy going there and wasting your money.
Negative experience: The owner there is highly disrespectful and very very rude to ppl that are trying to learn to drive he has no respect for the driving community and I would not recommend showing up there to learn driving from them! Would give zero stars if I could.
Negative experience: Stay away from this place. Deal whit the owner Rick is the worst experience you will have, this person is rude and unprofessional. The bikes are too old and barely runs. Don’t waste your money
Negative experience: Wray away from this place please, this is the Words place to get your licencie.
Negative experience: I don't recommend this place to anyone. If you want to get your endorsement, this is the WORST place to do it. The place is a garbage warehouse, the motorcycles are super old and in poor condition, they run miraculously. The owner/instructor RICK is the most arrogant and unprofessional person I have ever met, this person should not be in charge of a group of students, he is clearly not qualified to do so. He was 20 minutes late both days of class and spends all his time on the phone taking personal calls. He yells at students for any reason and gives unclear instructions, treats you as if you were his property and has no patience whatsoever. The worst experience I have had in years.
Negative experience: Terrible experience, don't waste your time and money here, coach Rik is very unprofessional and rude, he yells at you for anything and treats you as if you were his property, he feels pleased when he does it. During classes he repeatedly takes personal calls and leaves us in the sun waiting for him to return. He was 30 minutes late both days of class. The motorcycles are broken, they start and run miraculously, and the place of study is a hut in which homeless people sleep around it.
Negative experience: Horrible experience do not recommend!!!!!
Negative experience: horrible, wasted 250$
Negative experience: Do not go here the instructor is super angry and mean with all the male students and gives unclear instructions i was kicked out and given no refund for “not listening to instructions” not to mention all the bikes were beat up and barely run and he gets flirty and nice with all the girls but is overall just a angry old guy and super mean he also showed up 20mins late both days and mentioned crystal meth multiple times.
Negative experience: The owner/instructor provides a horrible experience. He’s very rude, late, taking calls during class time, gets gratification from trying to intimidate and talk down to students. Yells at students like he’s an angry impatient father to his children. Wish I would’ve went somewhere else for a better experience.
Negative experience: Would not recommend. Not professional, or caring. Wastes time, yells, and does not take clients time seriously.
Fantastic experience: Great class. Me and my stepdad took it. Teacher was great. We had experience already but was fun to learn the ropes. Definitely recommend this place to any new riders.
Fantastic experience: My instructor is totally awesome she really knew everything about motorcycles training. It was a great experience I learned a lot.I totally recommend riders choice training. Nothing boring about the class it was a lot of fun.
Positive experience: This class is awesome, the only reason the review is 4 stars and not 5 is the bikes were a little older and not in the greatest shape. I wouldn’t expect to be taught on a brand new bike though. The class was very informative and had me comfortable enough to go out riding the day after completion. I would highly recommend this course if you’re looking to get your motorcycle endorsement.
Fantastic experience: Had a good experience and enjoyed my riding class. Thanks
Fantastic experience: The qualifications for a great coach are communication, commitment, empathetic and supportive. I met all the coaches here and there is one that stands out above them all. Bree, thank you again.
Fantastic experience: Completed my basic skills course in order to acquire my motorcycle endorsement. I had never rode a motorcycle before. After the two days I felt very comfortable riding. The instructor Mrs. Lin was incredibly helpful, very knowledgeable and skilled, and her direction made each obstacle easy to understand and maneuver. I never fell and feel great about my decision to take the course.
Fantastic experience: It was definitely an experience, before considering this class you should have some expectations. What is time? It is up to your interpretation. What is professional? Also, based on your interpretation. There is a class, read at your own pace, there is a riding course, a very exceptional riding course. Ric is quite the character, but undeniably an excellent instructor, when instructing. If your looking for a ticky tack class with people that bore you, you should go somewhere else. If you know how to ride and need your riders endorsement, you will appreciate this class. God speed and God bless Ric.
Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. you might think 2 days instead of 3 why not this place will save me taking an extra day of work. That’s how I though but no. This place is a disaster by all means. Owner is rude and arrogant and treats u like he owns u. The class starts and ends when he wants. He is always late on class all students waiting which in a 2 day class leaves no time for actual practice. They assistant gives u the answers of the test because come on you are coming to pay to get an endorsement not to learn anything !!. Then the riding part. The owner talks in a low voice giving instructions which I couldn’t hear from the sound of the bike. The same instructor shouts and yells very loud to scold you for doing something wrong because you couldn’t hear the instructions. And of course there is noway you can talk sense to that man. Private phone calls all day, the place u sit in is a filthy garage with filthy plastic chairs. Bikes are old and worn out. Take the third day off and save urself dealing with people with that behavior
Fantastic experience: What an AMAZING experience! I booked this class for my Dad and he found it easy to follow along and the instructor makes sure the class knows their stuff! They keep it safe for everyone and provide a really great atmosphere for learning! Hands down one of the best decisions I made was choosing Riders Choice Training!
Fantastic experience: Highly knowledgeable staff and a great environment to learn the basics. Would recommend without hesitation. Will be taking my Son here to get his permit.
Negative experience: This place is a joke. It’s more of a scam than a class. First the instructor came late 3 hours both days and took 2 hours break on both days. The place is a disaster from the start where you start in filthy garage on plastic chairs. The bikes are very old and broken. The instructor was rude and the class chaotic with side talks. It’s clear that they don’t want to teach anything they are after your money then if u already know how to ride they will do the endorsement for you. I paid 250 dollars a friend of mine went to Hurley Davidson paid 100 and got perfect treatment. Please do ur self a favor and avoid dealing with unprofessional people
Fantastic experience: After seeing the reviews on this place I was a bit skeptical of how it’d go down. However when I met Ted everything was completely fine! Great and funny guy, helpful in everything, answered all my questions and took the time to make sure I got things down. He’s very straight-forward and to the point, but he’s knows damn well what he’s doing and all around made my experience great. I couldn’t of asked for someone more helpful. Thank you Ted and Rick!
Negative experience: Class was canceled without notification. I called to get a refund, one month later and numerous phone calls, I have not received my money back. No one is responding.
Fantastic experience: Ted ,Rick and Jackson. I took your class recently and felt comfortable with no pressure to be a professional rider my first day. These guys know they're Training new riders and treat them that way.. SAFETY FIRST. The instructors were informative and patient with all there students.
Fantastic experience: After seeing all the negative reviews they taking my class here I felt obliged to leave a review based on my outstanding experience! I worked with Ted and Rick, both men were amazing, it has been 20+ years since riding a manual clutch machine, they were extremely patient and willing to help in any way I needed! I was able to rebuild my confidence with no problems! I highly recommend taking your class with these gentleman, they have been in business for over 10 years I’m sure teaching thousands of students with less than 100 reviews, that speaks for itself! Most people leave a review when something doesn’t go their way or they fail the class! That’s the bad part of google, people need to leave good reviews as much as they jump to leave a negative review! Remember you are taking a motorcycle class, these 2 guys care about your safety and that’s the main focus saving your life, you’re not in a car you’re on a machine! Take care and ride safe!!!
Fantastic experience: Very fun training experience. My instructor made me feel like a friend and it was a great way to spend my weekend. 10/10 would recommend!
Negative experience: This is not a place to come learn, this is a circus ran by a couple of class A clowns at best and a highway robbery at worst. Pay no mind to these godless hippocrates and look for services elsewhere.
Negative experience: First day instructor very kind cordial and informative second day different instructor rude disrespectful non helpful by any means to the lesser experienced riders and berrated people suprised someone hasn't knocked his head off for talking that way already
He took the class in 2017…??really and did not pass.. hmm
Positive experience: The owner Rick and his staff members Joe, Ted do an excellent job on the range explaining the skills you will practice and the real-life application of these maneuvers to keep you safe on the road. Overall great experience. Just be prepared for a working garage more than a sterile classroom and you'll have a great experience.
Positive experience: I took this class to get my endorsement and I would highly recommend it. Glen is a very good instructor and very nice guy. I see alot of reviews saying Rick has temper problems. I would definitly agree with that but as long as you keep on his good side and listen carefully to all instructions you should have a great time.
Negative experience: Wish I could give it a Zero to be honest. Go ANYWHERE ELSE but here!
Negative experience: The owner Rick is on steroids and has a temper and is very unprofessional. Would not recommend this place to anyone
Fantastic experience: If I were you guys. I would go to Rick just that simple. He’s awesome and makes it for us. I really enjoyed his classes. And I know you guys would as well. Thanks Mr. Rick
Positive experience: Rick the owner/instructor is very knowledgeable and will teach you how to ride. However, he is very unprofessional constantly late and taking personal calls during classes to a point where you don't know is he talking to you or on the phone. Not sure if I would recommend...
Positive experience: Glen and Rick were solid instructors, they will help take you fromba totally inexperienced rider to someone who has the basic skills needed to start learning to ride. The course is straight forward and requires your attention, but as long as you are respectful and put in the work you will come out of the training in a good position to start riding. If you cant handle direct critique and need an air conditioned pristine environment, this isn't the place for you. If you want to learn and want good riders who have been at it for decades it is. Classes say 8-4 but in reality our classes were closer to 8-5 Saturday and 8:45-6pm Sunday so budget a little extra time.
Negative experience: Getting my endorsement at this place was the worst experience I could ever imagine. Rick the teacher/owner I think you took to me steroids he’s a big meathead very unprofessional.
Fantastic experience: Great class and instructor.
Fantastic experience: Very laid back but still professional. Great experience and I would recommend to anyone looking to learn or advance their riding skills
Fantastic experience: My husband and I took the Basic Rider Course for our endorsements, and it was a wonderful experience. Glen was a down to earth and to the point instructor, he gave us not only the fundamentals of how to ride safely, but also useful off-book tips. I would highly recommend this company and this course. Don’t show up late, be respectful of the instructors and the other students, don’t show off, wear appropriate riding clothes, and you’ll be just peachy haha. 5 stars.
Negative experience: Problems the most hateful people I have ever met
Positive experience: The two day course is good--the trainers know their stuff; you get a good sense of the safety issues of riding a motor bike and the training sessions are super helpful, especially if you've never ridden before. On the negative....They told us that our endorsements would be uploaded on the DMV site 2 days after course completion. They were not. My husband went to the DMV 3 days after the class, since he commutes on his motorbike, and they had no record of his endorsement...so he had to reschedule. We've tried calling Riders Choice a number of times and their voice mail is full. Needless to say we are frustrated because we need to get our licenses updated and 10 days later the DVM still has no record of our endorsement.
Negative experience: I had a class on September 13 and 14th. The DMV has not received notice of my completion. I am not pleased to have made an appointment to add my new endorsement and was told that riders choice had not submitted my information to the state. I have a new appointment, but no idea . My information was supposed to be downloaded to the State by 2:30 pm on the16th of the 16th
Positive experience: the person who runs these classes is working with me to turn a potentially very negative situation into a potentially very positive one. i'm leaving my review at 4-stars until i meet with him tomorrow and go through his class, then i will update accordingly.
Fantastic experience: Honestly people can say bad things and stuff on reviews but I honestly enjoy it good people the only thing is FL weather but after that they perfect and they know what they doing.
Negative experience: Owner is very rude. Pulled me out of class during attendance said my credit card doesn’t go through. Then began to argue with me saying he called me to let me know and left a voice message which he never did. I always have my phone on me. Then argued with me more after I told him I was willing to pay more because I didn’t have a ride home. The building is a dump all the bikes are broken would not go here or recommend anyone to go here.
The Classes are limited to 6 or 12 depending on the number of coaches..If the student does not enter the correct address for the credit card or debit card after 2 attempts with the same address they receive an e-mail with no verification ..The Banks or Institution that the card is associated with will hold the funds for 24-48 hrs. They use your funds to sell overnight to other banks…Once the payment is denied ..the Merchant has no access to the funds and only the last four digits of the card..The Funds are returned to the students account on the lending institutions timetable…we have no control over this..have no access to the funds… When a Student shows up to a class that is full ..knowing that your payment never went through and argues that we have their money, which is impossible..and After 14 Yrs and well over 10,000 Students we have not and will not ever take a legitimate students money and not allow them to take the class… This was explained and the student knowing that the payment never went through because the funds had already been returned became irate that we not honor his attempted payment in a full class .. taking time away from the other students.. The Classes we provide are for the student ..a great program that has had immense success saving lives of new and experienced Riders..
Positive experience: Riding the clutch, or "using the friction zone" as motorcyclists term it, is in fact an important part of slow speed maneuvering. A little bit of gas, drag the rear brake, and ride the clutch and you can keep a bike moving quite slowly while also remaining relatively steady..I wasn't using the back break, made it a lot harder,I didn't comprehend.. Make sure you pay attention, Do what they say
Negative experience: If you want to be belittled and treated like trash, you’ve come to the right place! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Awful instructor. Obviously just in it for the money or else he would treat people that don’t know how to ride with more compassion.
Negative experience: This is my Experience with Riders choice. You be the judge. The Instructor showed up late each day by at least a half hour, and all 8 students set there waiting 2 days in a row. Riders choice does not have a occupancy permit for their building so everyone has to sit outside on plastic chairs, luckily on and the shady side of the building. After 2 days of being in the sun every one was about cooked. They do have a outside Porta Potty for the students use. The owner/instructor took business calls and personal calls all day long , to the point the students weren't sure if he was talking to them or a caller. He seem a lot friendlier to prospective students than students in class, The motorcycles that he provided had worn out tires on some of them, horns that where unhooked ,turn signals that where hanging by their wires . There is a good chance some of them would have not passed a safety check. Instructor was very condescending and rude to most of the students. One day we went to lunch at 12 noon the next day was past 1. Class ended and started when he decided and didn't follow a particular schedule. We finished class the last day about a hour later that what it was supposed to be lasting till 6;00. Instruction was not clear most of the time and we had to guess what he exactly wanted between his phone calls. After the class was over and we all where given our certificates of completion by the instructor , he said he would have the paper work in by Thursday ,and to go to the Tax collector to have the endorsement added to your Drivers licenses. One of the other students i was in class with contacted me and said the instructor failed to get the paper work in on time and she was denied the endorsement for days. The student contacted the instructor and he said he was too busy to get his job done. I waited 5 days before i went to get my endorsement ! You decide if this class is for you it is after all your choice.
Fantastic experience: The instructor, Rick, is extremely knowledgeable and helped me overcome some bad habbits I had formed. I highly recommend this course to anyone... New or seasoned. All around a great experience!
Negative experience: Don't waste your time or your money.
Fantastic experience: Owner is rough but knowledgeable. Might annoy you but you will learn to be a better rider. Highly worth it. Great for first time riders as he will teach you all the basics. Experienced riders will probably have to unlearn some bad behaviors but its worth it.
Negative experience: This man is very rude to deal with his students, I do not recommend this motorcycle center to anyone.
Fantastic experience: I learned a lot of good skills from Rick it was a very good course. Would recommend it to anyone that needs an endorsement
Negative experience: DO NOT come here just because it’s a two day course, you’d be better off taking the extra day to do the Harley Davidson rider course. There are so many things wrong with this place but I’ll narrow it down to a couple key points: 1: The bikes aren’t maintained properly. Now don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting pristine condition bikes ready for the showroom, but was expecting the bikes to be mechanically sound. The bike I was riding was an old Suzuki Dr200, an entry-level dual sport. It was a good bike, but I wasn’t able to shift into neutral unless the bike was rolling or the motor was off. When I told Rick that there was a problem with my bike he yelled at me and said that there was nothing wrong with the bike. About 15 minutes later after we finished the exercise he told me that the bike had been dropped during a class a week or two beforehand and it needed a new clutch lever and cable. Now I wouldn’t have had a problem if he told me that it happened a few days prior, but a whole week, maybe two passing without the parts being replaced doesn’t seem very professional to me. 2: Rick is very impatient and often easily angered. Like I said in the last point, when I told Rick that there was a problem with my bike the first thing he did was get angry and yell. The whole weekend anything that happened that he didn’t like or wasn’t correct he would do is yell at you. I understand that the course is dangerous and you could seriously hurt yourself or others and oftentimes it’s necessary for the instructors to yell because that’s the only way the riders will be able to hear them. Also after I told him the problem with my bike he said I could either ride the bike the way it was or leave. With that all being said, I will say that the course was a fun experience, I’m glad I was able to get my endorsement, and when he wasn’t being impatient or angry Rick was actually a pretty nice guy with some good stories and Glen was the same. Just don’t come here expecting anything special.
Fantastic experience: I took the MSF here two weeks ago. I have my bike and have been riding since then. Rick provided Knowledge and instruction that made me feel comfortable on a death machine.
Fantastic experience: I'm a first timer on a bike and chose Rider's Choice to get my endorsement. Called Rick to confirm openings, paid for the classes, showed up on time and did my best to follow instructions to the T. Rick and Glen were awesome! They are pretty stern instructors and require everyone to pay attention. They were also very informative and made sure everyone was on the same page going into every excersice. I would recommend Rider's Choice to anyone I know that's needing an endorsement.
Fantastic experience: Rick was an awesome instructor. Even for someone with barely any experience you can definitely learn to ride with the course provided. Never felt rushed at any point. Rick took time make sure we were on same page.
Fantastic experience: Absolute awesome course! I just finished today and let me tell you this place is great! The instructor, Rick was very informative and straight to the point, he showed you exactly what was needed from you to pass in a very safe and easy to understand manner. If you need more instruction on how to do a obstacle properly he will take the time and show you, he was all about teaching as long as you were there to learn and listen! Again thank you so much for an awesome course and i definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get there motorcycle endorsement!!
Negative experience: Richard is a boomer with an inferiority complex, he will kick you out of the class if you do anything wrong on the tests. This was my first motorcycle experience and I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone who's just starting out. Even though it's a "basic rider course".
Fantastic experience: Well I have been riding for 30plus years. I learned a few things so you might think you know everything trust me you don’t. Great place to go really nice people.
Fantastic experience: It was a great time loved it could have done without the heat but that was my choice our coaches were amazing would highly recommend
Negative experience: Been trying to get a hold of Rick for 3 weeks now and nothing. This lady keeps picking up and keeps saying he will call me back and even writes my number down and nothing.
Positive experience: Relaxed pace no pressure pay attention and listen to the instructor you will learn something and be a better safer rider
Positive experience: Our instructor was quite gruff on Day 1, bordering on rude and somewhat condescending when asked something he thought should be obvious, AND he was also 100% invested in whether we understood the range instructions and exercises. Despite some serious personal distractions that weekend, he stayed in the game with us, and we stayed in it with him...we all made it work. He is so knowledgeable, and even though I wish the experience had been a little less rough, I came away with the knowledge and confidence on the bike I need to take the next steps with this sport. You won't get warm and fuzzy, but you will get expertise and practice.
Fantastic experience: Good instructor very Knowledgeable of pointing out details on the motorcycle training ride
Negative experience: This place was probably one of worst experiences in my life. I recommend you go anywhere else for your endorsement than here. Luckily I was able to reverse charges on my credit card (after the owner said "good luck with that")and go to a legitimate motorcycle class. The owner will curse you out and say "I don't give a F%@! If you give me a bad Google review".... which I'm doing . Anyone that signs up here I feel for you because you made a mistake... Especially If you're a female. I watched the owner make 2 grown adult females cry when they were obviously scared and really wanted to learn and gain confidence. After going to a legitimate class off of ridge road I then realized the owner of riders choice should be providing clean paper work packets and not bubbled in answer old books like in middle school. I've had friends have equally bad experiences here and its no coincidence. Avoid at all cost! If he screws you over be sure to reverse charges for services not completed.
Fantastic experience: Wow what can I say, go get your training from Rider’s! Easy and the parking lot was wonderful!
Fantastic experience: Great instructor, was very thorough and made sure if we had any questions to ask. I told him I had bough an enduro bike and he checked to see if he had a working one and let me practice on an enduro, so I got the training with a bike I was planing on riding. Highly recommend was a great teacher, and feel way more confident with safty and knowledge.
Fantastic experience: Just took Rick's course and I feel alot more confident about riding a motorcycle. He answered all and any questions you. Demonstrated as many times as you needed. He did not single one person out for any mistakes. He was patience with our class and would do it again. He is a no BS and tells it like it is. One thing I would recommend is showing how to pick up dropped bikes in certian situations.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service. I asked if they price matched which they do. According there website. the lady and man on other line got defensive and hung up before I could sign up then they lied about there own prices!! Worst place if you want friendly staff
Negative experience: the in structure was very rude. sent my husband home, but took our cash money
Fantastic experience: Great instructor, professional knowledge, he will teach you the importance of riding safely, He expects you to listen, and follow what he is teaching, I've been riding without my endorsement for years, and he helped me to learn to lose them, and open my eyes to my losing my bad habits, thank you. Great experience for learning the correct way of safety and riding free. I highly recommend his course.
Fantastic experience: Rick was an amazing instructor!! He was a weath of knowledge for both beginners and experienced riders. He was willing to answer all questions without hesitation. You can tell that he really wants his students to succeed both in the class and further. I would highly recommend Rider's Choice for anyone that's looking to get their endorsement.
Fantastic experience: Great course. Awesome instructor. Pay close attention to the rules and instructions and you'll be fine.
Positive experience: So there’s a lot of mixed reviews on this place and I can honestly say both the positive and the negative reviews have some merit to them but the place doesn’t fall on either extreme. I wouldn’t call the facilities and equipment top notch and yes, Rick can be a bit rough around the edges as previously stated. HOWEVER, he’s not a “manbaby” who’s going to berate you drill sergeant style in front of all your fellow students as other reviews make him out to be and he mostly does a good job of not singling anyone out and making sure everyone is on the same page before proceeding. He’s going to shout across the range and you’ll probably receive your fair share of whistle blows but he’s just making sure everything is moving smoothly (I say this having been whistled at half a dozen times because I was confused about his directions). If you have Rick as an instructor, my advice is to pay attention and do as he says to the best of your ability and you’ll do just fine. Some people need patience and a smile to learn properly and I totally get that but if you don’t feel like you handle well under pressure then I would recommend taking your business to another training center. If you’re just trying to get your endorsement and need some basic training, this course and Rick’s guidance will get you where you need to be. Everyone’s needs are different and Rider’s Choice doesn’t go above and beyond but they get the job done and you definitely get the training you pay for.
Negative experience: Guy cancelled the class mere hour before start time, we made arrangements over the phone because I flew in just for his class and he knew this. He never called me or said anything until I called him and said I was 5 min away. Then he lied and said there were state inspectors there and he needed more people for class. When I spoke to other courses around 2 of 3 said hes known for shady stuff.... good location BAD BUSINESS . COST ME HUNDREDS IN WASTED TIME
Negative experience: Do not waste your money!!!
Negative experience: Cannot be contacted, just go somewhere else.
Negative experience: This review unfortunately isn't based on the performance of the class given the fact I've been trying to reschedule a class since mid-December. Every time I called the number to speak with someone a woman answers and says can I call you back in 10 minutes and never calls back. I have called multiple times and have had the same response from the same woman multiple times and I have also emailed and yet to hear a response from this company. My name is Monika McLaughlin and I would like to hear from you PLEASE!!!
Fantastic experience: Very knowledgeable and patient. Learned a lot. Highly recommend...
Negative experience: Very unprofessional. Do not come here.
Negative experience: Try the Harley Davidson new rider course. It's a little more expensive, but they provide bikes and nice conference room for the class portion. They are wonderfully skilled and taught this, never before on a motorcycle, and 5'3" woman how to ride and pass the test.
Fantastic experience: Class is easy and fun. The instructors are laid back and make the learning experience fun.
Fantastic experience: I took this class about 10 months ago. I had NEVER ridden a bike before. The instructor was strict and tried his best to help everyone. You have to take this seriously or it wont work out. Nothing wrong with not taking anyones bs. I passed the class first try, feel safer, and want to go back for more instruction. Just listen, it's not hard.
Negative experience: If you want to learn how to ride a bike via training from an unprofessional man baby inside of a mannequin ridden shack, this is your place! Most unprofessional place I've ever been to hands down. First day the owner was 10 minutes late to the class and made us sit outside while he set everything up for 30 minutes. I was soo excited and engaged in the class when we did questions by ourselves and he just read the answers back to us in a monotone voice. He refused to let me ride unless I got a paper signed by my parents (that he didn't notify me about at ALL ahead of time). His instructions are very minimal and accuses you of not listening to him if you slip up. This guy should not be an instructor as he has 0 patience with people, and even belittles you (even people who have NEVER been on a bike before). He kept yelling at a kid to the point they didn't even come back the second day (Impressive!). Second day I came I sat outside for 30 minutes before this man decided to show up! He didnt have any excuse for being late and acted as if he had done nothing wrong. Inside of the shack was very hot. It was usually cooler outside than it was inside due to the lack of actual A/C. I HIGHLY recommend you go some place else.
Negative experience: Instructor was good. The problem is the facility. NO AIR CONDITION!!!! No lights, or anything else. The classroom was very unorganized and messy. Also the half naked girlfriend, while appealing to look at, was very unprofessional to have walking around.
Fantastic experience: Just took and passed this class (Thurs/Fri). Totally recommend. None of the bad "issues" in other reviews. As an instructor of different government type of classes I can appreciate these guys. Their job is safety, proficiency and to help you pass the test. Plain and simple. Come in with right attitude, pay attention, do the work, done. They (Rick and Brian) spent time explaining, teaching, demonstrating and correcting - all with out attitude (they don't hold your hand nor should they ...). The riding portion was organized and planned. The classroom (while hot) was pretty straight forward. All the sob stories of being late and being rejected, did't pass the class having trouble rescheduling, etc... don't be late, once the lesson starts it's a government regulated class, they have to follow the rules. Having to reschedule, (again regulated class), $200 x 10 people = $2,000. Instructor time, lease, insurance, etc, as a business owner don't even know how these guys make money. Weekends are more $, you do the math. This might sound like an endorsement, it's not... but I now have my motorcycle "endorsement" because of these guys. Don't let the other reviews scare you, highly recommend.
Positive experience: There's No Doubt the guys teaching this class are seasoned riders, but overall the experience I had taking this class was meh. The hands-on experience was great, but sometimes the lessons seemed misguided. We recieved pretty much NO classroom time, and the few minutes we did it was our class reading the book to the professor as instructed. I get that they are trying to follow the MSF curriculum, but come on. As for the location, its a nice parking lot for riding but the actual building, it is barely functioning. No air, no lights, and somewhat scary. I feel bad for anyone taking this class later in the year.(ITS GONNA BE HOT) Overall this place is fine is you just need to get it over with, but this class is barebones and the instructors seem forced at times. If you have the option of picking between a few places, you may want to go elsewhere until they spruce things up a bit at Riders Choice.
Negative experience: Owner is a friggin' meglamaniac in love with the sound of his own voice. Like being around a dog marking territory. As many other reviewers have testified -- "RUDE +1!"
Fantastic experience: Good school, highly professional.
Negative experience: NEVER BEEN TREATED SO RUDELY - Forget that the instructor was 15 minute late .. when i asked him to use the bathroom he told me that i was told to wait outside and that if i did not like that i could leave the class. When i told him i would be glad to wait once i used the bathroom he told me was kicking me out of the class - and told me to leave the class. The State of Florida needs to shut this place down!!
Fantastic experience: This was very well organized and thorough class. The instructors possess a wealth of knowledge when it comes to motorcycling. I would strongly recommend this school
Fantastic experience: Great company to do business with. Friendly, knowledgeable, and would highly recommend! Love my new seat
Fantastic experience: Good people very good instructors explain everything Making you feel comfortable take away all the stress for the test good people to deal with thank you
Fantastic experience: Experienced motorcyclists lead the classes and provide life saving training to even the most experienced riders. They also are outstanding with the novice and first time riders as well.
